Workplace conflict is costing US businesses $359 billion a year—and behind a disproportionate share of that damage is high conflict behavior: the kind that ignores limits, escalates faster than most leaders expect, and doesn't respond to the usual playbook. This is part one of a four-part series on high conflict in the workplace, with Bill Eddy, LCSW, JD, Megan Hunter, MBA, and Michael Lomax, JD—lawyer, mediator, and senior speaker and trainer with the High Conflict Institute since 2011.Bill, Megan, and Michael unpack why conflict is surging right now—generational shifts, pandemic fallout, social media polarization, and AI giving people who demonstrate high conflict behavior entirely new tools—and make the case for why prevention has to come before the crisis, not after. If your organization is still treating conflict as something HR handles case by case, this episode is the place to start. It's All Your Fault is produced by TruStory FM.Full Show Notes & ResourcesSubmit a Question | Bookstore | WebsiteWatch this episode on YouTubeImportant Notice: Our discussions focus on behavioral patterns rather than diagnoses. Retirement feels different when you're close enough to see the real fears and trade-offs. Hana is just a few years away from stepping out of active duty, and she shares what it's like to stand in that in-between space—excited for a slower pace, but still navigating purpose, parenting, and the question of “am I actually ready?”She talks about dreaming of morning pickleball, the frugal roots that shaped her money habits, and how starting to invest later than she planned didn't stop her from getting ahead. She also opens up about slow travel, building up her “superhero account” for early retirement, and carrying purpose into the next chapter by doing a small amount of meaningful work instead of going fully idle.Hana also reflects on the financial and emotional lessons that came from her divorce—and why honest money conversations matter more than most people admit. If you're preparing for retirement and feeling hopeful, anxious, or somewhere in the middle, Hana's story is a reminder that you're not behind. You're just human. And there's a thoughtful, steady way forward.--Hana is not a client of Root Financial Partners, LLC and received no compensation for participating in this video. Life doesn't unfold the way we expect. At some point, the life we envisioned gives way to the life we're actually living. In that moment, many people assume something has gone wrong —but what if that moment is actually an invitation? In the final message of Home Work, we explore the story of Peter in John 21 and discover that spiritual growth happens in stages. The first half of life focuses on building, achieving, and defining who we are. The second half involves surrendering, trusting, and becoming who God designed us to be. God uses every stage of life — and every relationship in our lives — to shape us into people capable of love. The question isn't just how you will live … but who you will become.
Last week, I tackled how to diagnose exactly what's going on when funders say they love you, but they're still not investing at the correct level. In that conversation (Episode 145) we laid some really important groundwork to help you map out exactly where the problem is occurring, how it's manifesting with each decisionmaker, and what exactly is causing it. Today, as promised, we'll get into how you fix it. You won't be surprised to learn that this is almost entirely about messaging. But there's some really interesting quirks about how we adjust that, based on the diagnosis we arrived at when we were analyzing which causes of this problem are at play with any given funder. The good news is, we're focusing on short bits of messaging that are strategically designed to address each of the common causes. With six key sentences, you can build the core of the messaging you'll need to move those funders toward the high-level investment your work deserves.. In this episode, we share: Why some funders seem impervious to the information you've been sharing with themThe most common messaging mistake you may be making as you to try to fix the problemHow to create shorthand concepts that will help funders get the true value of your workFour key principles for creating shorthand messaging that sticks How to disrupt the mistaken ideas funders likely have about your workThe six sentences you need to turn around the misconceptions that are keeping funders from investing in your work at the proper level Help spread the word! Everyone gets hurt — but not everyone heals. Bitterness imprisons families for generations, while forgiveness opens the door to freedom, peace, and restoration. In this powerful message from Matthew 18, we discover that forgiveness is not ignoring what happened or pretending it didn't hurt — it is releasing a debt because Christ has released ours. Forgiven people become forgiving people.

Our daily habits shape who we become — not only as individuals, but as families. The traditions and routines of a family can shape our children and future generations for years to come. The routines we practice — whether it's watching college football every Saturday or sharing meals around the dinner table — often become the patterns our children naturally adopt. That's why God gave Israel such intentional instruction in Deuteronomy 6 — to ensure that daily family rhythms would continually reinforce faith and identity. Join us for Part Five of Home Work, as we explore how the sacred rhythms we build into our homes today can shape a lasting legacy of faith.

Since the sexual revolution of the 1960s and 1970s, it may seem that our society has become increasingly sexually promiscuous. However, we've probably just become more open about the promiscuity that has always existed. The early church faced a culture with destructive beliefs and practices related to human sexuality. One thing that set early Christians apart was their understanding of the beauty and sacredness of human sexuality as God designed it. Join us for Part Four of Home Work, as we discuss God's design for human sexuality and how it points to the essence of our most basic desires.
You were never meant to just sit on the sidelines. Pastor Fred walks through Acts 13:1-5 and 20:17-24, showing how the Holy Spirit calls, equips, and sends us to live on mission, raising up leaders to serve and reach others in everyday life.

What does justify mean? Listen to this message to hear two examples that help explain a second kind of justification. The first is Abraham who obeyed God when God told Abraham to sacrifice his son, Isaac. Learn that Abraham had already believed God years before and been justified, receiving imputed righteousness. What then is this second justification? The second example is Rahab whose trust in God led to her sending the spies away so they would not be caught. Understand the two ways justification is described, if the first is for eternal salvation, what is the second?
The most intimate of all human relationships is the bond between a husband and wife. That makes marriage the most fulfilling, and potentially the most damaging, of all relationships. When God created man in His image, He said it was not good for him to be alone. So God instituted the marriage relationship. From Adam and Eve to the couple who just said, “I do,” marriage continues to be a source of fulfillment and pain for many people. Join us for Part Three of Home Work, as we explore what the Bible says about marriage, divorce, and singleness.
Big moments are built on small acts of obedience. In Preparation and Position, Ross Enger teaches from Acts 1:15-16, Luke 16:10, and Zechariah 4:10, revealing how consistent faithfulness prepares us for where God is leading and how He wants to use us.

Share a commentWhat if your 9-to-5 is the most sacred space you step into all week? We explore how ordinary work—emails, errands, meetings, and messy teamwork—can become a place where humility, honesty, reliability, and loyalty turn heads and open hearts. Pulling from Paul's challenge against grumbling and pilfering, we look at the quiet choices that build trust: showing up on time, keeping your word, refusing to trash-talk the boss, and saying no when asked to lie. It's not blind compliance; it's courage with a clean conscience. We travel from a startling case of mass restitution during the Welsh revival to a vivid portrait of Daniel, an exiled civil servant whose integrity protected a pagan king from loss and lifted him to uncommon influence. Loyalty here is not favoritism—it's good faith that seeks the welfare of the place you serve, even when it's imperfect. Along the way, we ask hard questions about the little forms of theft that creep into teams and budgets, and we offer a path back: confession, repair, and consistent follow-through.At the center is a deeper motive: to adorn the gospel at work. Like a jeweler's setting that makes the gem sparkle, your life can highlight truth without hype. When colleagues see steady joy, honest books, and quiet courage, curiosity follows. Our final story about a child named Sarah—who found her greatest honor in placing a single flower in a vase—reminds us that nothing done unto God is small. If you're ready to make Monday meaningful, to turn routine into worship, and to let integrity rewrite your office culture, this conversation will give you a simple, sturdy way forward. If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs Monday hope, and leave a quick review so more people can find these conversations. What does it look like to live a holy life? Share a commentWhat if your job is more than hours, tasks, and a paycheck? We pull back the curtain on vocatio—the ancient idea of calling—and show how recovering it can fill even the most routine task with purpose. Drawing on Paul's words to Titus and stories from the Reformation, we explore how God hides behind ordinary work, using the hands of moms, makers, managers, and yes, milkmaids, to bless the world. Monday stops being a burden when your Supervisor is Christ. We walk through a hard first-century reality—millions living as bondservants in Rome—and unpack Paul's countercultural strategy. Rather than fanning revolt, he planted gospel seeds that would eventually undermine slavery itself: in Christ there is neither slave nor free, masters and servants are brothers, and a runaway named Onesimus returns as family. That heart-level revolution spills into institutions over time, changing how people treat power, pay, and each other. The result is a faith that shines brightest in ordinary places: a desk, a shop floor, a kitchen table. From there, we turn practical with traits that can reshape any workplace. Humility accepts order without resentment, even under flawed authority. Reliability aims to be “well pleasing,” working with excellence because God sees in secret. And a non-argumentative spirit refuses to feed the office culture of complaint, choosing clarity and respect over grumbling. Along the way, we share stories—the stonemason building a cathedral, Luther's shoemaker crafting honest goods—that help us see how our craft becomes a canvas for worship. If you're tired of living for the weekend, this conversation offers a sturdier vision: the cubicle as a sanctuary, the task list as a liturgy, and your daily labor as a way to adorn the gospel in plain sight. If this reframed your view of work, tap follow, share it with a friend who needs a Monday boost, and leave a quick review to help others find the show. In this episode of the Wolf Precision Long Range Shooting and Custom Rifle Building Podcast, Jamie Dodson sits down with EriK Cortina, competitive shooter and creator of the Cortina Precision tuner system, to discuss one of the most debated accessories in precision rifle shooting, barrel tuners. Barrel tuners have become extremely popular in competitive shooting, particularly in F-Class and PRS circles. But what do they actually do? Are they shrinking groups, or simply changing barrel harmonics and recoil characteristics? Erik shares the story behind how he first started experimenting with tuners, the inspiration he took from the Browning BOSS system, and how early success in competition helped launch the tuner movement. The discussion dives into the real-world testing, tuning process, and the common misconceptions shooters have about what tuners can and can't do. In the end, the conversation lands on an honest conclusion: a barrel tuner is simply another tool in the toolbox. For some rifles and shooters it may offer an advantage, while for others it may make little difference. But like seating depth, powder charge, or bullet choice, it's another variable shooters can explore in the pursuit of smaller groups. Jamie closes the episode with final thoughts on tuners, how they may influence barrel harmonics, and why skill, fundamentals, and experience still matter more than any piece of equipment. Cat & Cloud Podcast Cat & Cloud Coffee www.catandcloud.com/ Finding Joy in Every Season of Work: Part II – Ep #441 Summary In part two of this conversation on finding joy in every season of work, the team (Chris, Jared and Casey) digs deeper into the shift from barista life into leadership, ownership, and building something that lasts. Chris and Jared reflect on how early work experiences, both inspiring and dysfunctional, shaped the kinds of leaders they wanted to become and reinforced the importance of community, fun, and genuine human connection in coffee. The episode explores how easy it is for owners and leaders to lose sight of the original passion that got them started, especially under the pressure of business realities, but argues that joy can still be created intentionally through trust, teamwork, better systems, gratitude, and a commitment to improving the experience for both staff, guests and for yourself. Ultimately, it's a conversation about staying connected to purpose, remembering where you came from, having gratitude, and building workplaces where success and joy are not enemies. From skateboarding friendships and barista competitions to building cafés and leading teams, we talk about how the things that bring joy evolve over time. As careers grow and responsibilities expand, the work changes—and sometimes the parts you loved most become harder to hold onto.
