It's a Big Show tonight all, as Randy and I take a look back at 2 of Undertaker's lost Gimmick Matches against the Big Show. First up, it's the Punjabi Prison Match at the Great American Bash 2006, where originally the Great Khali was scheduled to face Taker, but elevated liver enzymes (and not being trusted with a live PPV match) made for different plans. Then, 2 years later, they are now enthralled in a deep feud with each other and the only way to settle it is with a Steel Cage match on SmackDown! So sit back, relax, and join us in watching the Undertaker be knocked out, thrown through salad bars, and escape the WMD as one of his dreadful foes keeps following him into the mid-2000s! Due to a number of injuries and other problems, WWE had to reshuffle their Great American Bash 2006 pay-per-view at the last minute- scheduled matches featuring Mark Henry, Lashley, Great Khali and Super Crazy were unable to happen, and their places taken by other opponents. What this meant in practice was, that the much hyped Punjabi Prison Match would now see Undertaker take on Big Show and Batista battling Mr Kennedy. Also on the show, Rey Mysterio would defend his World Heavyweight Title against King Booker. The Random Wrestling Review is brought to you this week by Old Man and Tinky.
Welcome, boys and girls, to another episode of The Lawcast. This time our hosts go back to cover a wild night in WWE history, No Mercy 2007. It's the only time in history the WWE Championship changed hands three times in one night. We get not one but two Triple H vs. Randy Orton matches. Plus Triple H vs. Umaga for the WWE Championship. And to cap it off, we've got the unexpectedly good Batista vs. Great Khali Punjabi Prison Match!
What are the rules of a Punjabi Prison match? Well, we watched the entire explanation and match and we still don’t understand. What we do know is that Khali was not very good and Batista did not deserve to be apart of this train wreck. On this episode we try to deconstruct this ridiculous match concept then we dive into The Good News Bad News for the past week in professional wrestling. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Welcome back to The Perfect Edge with Donavon "The Lo Down" Lloyd and Ron Pasceri! This week Donavon runs down his experience at WWE Battleground and a WWE Live event as well. We went over the pros and cons of the Punjabi Prison Match and gave kudos to AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and Xavier Woods. We made the case for Kofi Kingston as a possible future World Champions as well. On the combat sports side of things Jon Jones' thrilling victory was discussed and Ronnie took on the world over some of the treatment of Daniel Cormier after suffering such a devastating defeat. It wouldn't be The Perfect Edge without some Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather discussion. Donavon also ran down a few new Top Ten lists. Join us once again on the edge!
Jobber Radio Episode Fifty Three -- "4 Star Podcast" (8/4/17) Hosted by: Matt Zion, Rab, Scott & Bomber - Fresh off of WWE Battleground the crew talk about what they liked and what was just down right horrible. Bomber says he thought that Punjabi Prison Match wasn't that bad and gets destroyed for his comments. That actually appeared to be the theme of this episode. A lot has happened since Battleground and pretty much every WWE headline and story is covered. Will Enzo be fired? How dead on arrival is Jason Jordan? How awesome will the SummerSlam main event be? Why is Orton Vs. Rusev a thing? How in the world did Nakamura beat Cena? Plus tons of other topics covered, RIGHT HERE, on the best 4 star podcast in the world! Don't forget to follow us on twitter @JobberRadio. Enjoy the show!
Welcome back to the Mat Madness Wrestling Podcast! Eric Trembicki, Aaron Lloyd and Ron Pasceri are back and breaking down their experience at WWE Battleground. There were some differing opinions on the quality of the PPV this week. They discussed the Punjabi Prison Match, the odd finish to AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens match and the brilliance that was The New Day winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championships from The Usos. The guys also broke down Raw and SmackDown and got into some early SummerSlam talk. As always there was time for a few listener questions and Ron once again invited LeBron James for a brief respite from the Kyrie Irving drama in the form of Unsanctioned. Join the MVP (Most Valuable Podcast) for another great show!
Monsoon Mendez is back in studio and we had a lot to discuss. WE talked about Battleground and broke down the matches. We discuss the 3rd ever Punjabi Prison Match with Randy Orton taking on Jindar Mihal for the WWE HW title. AJ vs Ko for the US title the Usos take on the New day and try and Defend the SmackDown Tag Titles. Also a 5 Women Elimination match to determine the next Womens #1contendar for Summer Slam. Just minutes after the conclusion of WWE Battleground, the guys jump online to break down the entire lackluster show. Brian Campbell leads the charge with a hot takedown of the Punjabi Prison Match, while Nick Kostos and Adam Silverstein join him to rip apart the show while finding a couple surprising positives from the SmackDown brand pay-per-view. Our resident WWE "experts" Tom Maguire & Richard Shaw-Wright review the SmackDown event Battleground 2017 and it's fair to say, they weren't impressed. The third ever Punjabi Prison Match saw The Great Khali return to help Jinder Mahal retain the WWE Championship by strangling Randy Orton. Does anyone care about the big man's return? Match of the night was expected to be AJ Styles vs Kevin Owens for the United States Championship, but Richard argues that it was overhyped. Whilst the actual highlight of the event was the first match on the card with new SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day beating The Usos in a great tag contest. Tom & Rich review the Battleground in it's entirety, plus they debate about the big reveal from Raw last Monday which saw Jason Jordan unveil himself as Kurt Angle's son.
On this episode T&T fish out some Smark Bait, update on the G1 tournament, call In Ring Action with the very first Punjabi Prison Match, debut the Wrestling Rap Sheet, report on the Clean Sheet, give predictions for Battleground, and more!

It's the last Mayhem Show in the Mayhem Studio. But, before the crew moves to the new studio, we've got one last hurrah for Wrestling Mayhem Show 579. Sorg, Chad, Larry, MadMike, Matt, Bobby, and a special birthday boy (Rizz) get together to reminisce about our time in the studio and to talk about what's happening in wrestling these days: Mad Mike is the Center Square. There's a PPV this weekend guys! Rizz is so happy about the Punjabi Prison Match. It's like WWE knew it was his birthday! Is it "poops" "liver enzyme" or "steroids?" We're not sure what we're talking about either. More stipulations? Larry is calling out John Cena on his geography. All you need to know is John Cena and Ruzev and you'll be okay. Is The Rock running for President? Are we getting a Shinsuke v. AJ Styles match in our future? The mayhemmers are weighing in. We're running down the WWE-related people who are running for various offices these days. More than we realize. Nakamura v. Corbin in a hair-vs-hair match? We may be playing Hollywood Squares in the new studio. Talking Smack is still on for PPV shows. We're happy that it's not totally cancelled. Thank goodness Matt came in to settle this argument between MadMike and Sorg. Sorg and some of the guys checked out the Stomp Out Cancer show this past weekend. He's sharing some good stuff. When the words David Otunga come out of your mouth, you've lost your argument. This week's Big Question is brought to us by Birthday Boy Rizz: What is your favorite in-studio Mayhem Show memory? What did YOU learn in wrestling this week?
The women were the main event this week and Carmella is officially Ms. MITB! No, for real this time. Cody Rhodes is officially a world champion and he's got three words for ya! While Big Cass and Enzo are officially over Fashion Vice is just getting started! What cup is Danielle drinking out of? Whose theme song does Brady sing this week? A brand new M2J Poetry SLAM!, Ezekiel Jackson takes on Billy Gunn in the Intercontinental Championship Tournament, and Jinderveinia is still running wild on Episode 44 of The Heel Marks!
In this edition of The Taz Show, Taz breaks down the second ever women's MITB ladder match, Becky's false finishes, could a Carmella face turn be in the future? Taz also shares his thoughts on the first Punjabi Prison Match in 10 years & why Jinder shouldn't have mentioned The Great Khali. The Lumberjack reveals his dates & locations for TGSST & provides some advice for a tennis legend.
We've got Sorg, Larry, Chad the Shad and Dudders in studio, with Rizz and Mad Mike on the digital front for Wrestling Mayhem Show 577. The crew is talking about what's happening in pro wrestling this week, including: We're either talking Joy of Painting or GLOW. Dammit DJ Lunchbox! You started all of this you dirty bastard! We're talking some GLOW, because that's what we do when wrestling things are part of mainstream TV. GLOW represents Indy Wrestling better than any of that Tough Enough stuff. Sorg may have just learned that Awesome Kong is on GLOW. We're talking some of the GLOW stereotypes and how wrestling typecasts. GLOW throws some reference to the Guerrero family. GLOW – The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling is a great option for GLOW if you have younger viewers. How many Lucha Underground faces have you seen on GLOW? We're loving Marc Maron as Sam Sylvia in GLOW. Katie and Larry had an opportunity to check out Kaiju Big Battel this past weekend. Kaiju Big Battel PLUS King of Trios? You may have actually HEARD our squees of joy. Sea World Order is a thing. You really need to tune in to see what we're talking about. You'll appreciate it. Mauro Ranallo is coming to NXT? Thank you WWE! New show goal: Get blocked by Josh Matthews. We already are, but let us know if you join our elite club! TNA talent has recently appeared on WWE. We're talking about a few – including Maria and Mike Bennett. Rizz is talking the Punjabi Prison Match, but he's more excited about the Great Khali reference. We just drew a line in the sand. We will not mess with Game of Thrones fans. Sorg is thanking Slice for giving us amazing pizza AND a box that acts as a shield. We found some photos on our old My Space page. If you find them, you'll know what we're talking about. This week's Big Question: What is your one cross-over angle for Lucha Underground and TNA for Slammiversary? Squiggly Foofoofarts v. Julio Slamaknockknock Guys! We have voicemail! What did YOU learn from wrestling this week? Follow our stable on Twitter: Sorg (@Sorgatron), Larry (@MutilatorLarry), Dudders (@Kdudders), Chad the Shad (@ChadTheShad) Mad Mike (@MadMike4883), and Rizz (@TheeRizz) this week!)
