Part 1 - Neville James speaks with Ryan Chambers, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service. The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for the United States Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and numerous adjacent islands as Potential Tropical Cyclone Five moves across the Atlantic. The system, which is now located around midway between the Cabo Verde Islands and the Lesser Antilles, is becoming more organized as it advances rapidly westward. According to the present forecast, this system will make its closest pass near or over the northern USVI early Wednesday morning.
Part 1 - Ryan Chambers, a National Weather Service meteorologist, joins host Neville James. Tracking two tropical waves attempting to form in the Caribbean. An area of disturbance over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean is predicted to combine with an approaching tropical wave in the next days and reach the listening region. It will most likely be rain and wind from Wednesday night into Thursday. Neville provides a report on the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, where Team USA Women's Basketball opened their campaign with a tremendous performance, defeating Japan 102-76 and boasting a 56-game winning streak.
Part 1 - Following an update from National Weather Service meteorologist Ryan Chambers, host Neville James provides a Hurricane Beryl report after hitting southeast Texas and Louisiana on Monday, killing at least 8 people and knocking out power to at least 3 million people, which has now been downgraded to a tropical depression. James is then joined by the president of the Virgin Islands Olympic Committee, Angel "Chico" Morales, to discuss the delegation's goals and preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympics, which will take place from July 26th to August 11, 2024.
Part 1 - Neville James and Ryan Chambers of the National Weather Service prepare the region for the midweek forecast, as moisture in the area is caused by low pressure in the upper levels, upsetting the local weather with thunderstorms. During a press conference on Tuesday, Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach expressed support for the islands hit by Hurricane Beryl. The administration is asking the 35th Legislature for $200,000 in fiscal relief. James contacts Deputy Commissioner Roseanne Farrington of the Tourism Department to discuss relief efforts. Those who wish to help can contact Mrs. Farrington at 340-626-1237.
Part 1 – Neville James speaks with meteorologist Ryan Chambers of the National Weather Service in San Juan about this week's weather outlook which illustrates the probability of having above normal temperatures and precipitation as a tropical wave passes through the listening area.
Part 1 - Neville James and Ryan Chambers of the National Weather Service prep the territory for the Carnival weekend with the weather forecast. James gives the latest COVID-19 numbers, and stock market updates. He later discusses the ongoing issues related to gun violence, nationally and in the territory.

We welcome Ryan Chambers from the Starcastic Remarks podcast to discuss playoff seeding. The Eastern conference in the NHL is set for teams but the rest of the season will dictate what seed they have in the playoffs. in the Western Conference the Avalanche are set but the rest of the conference is open. Which is better? Is it better for the Hurricanes to rest players and focus on the playoffs or is it better to still be fighting at the end of the season? Is it better to be rested or hungry? How do teams learn to lose?

Together with American Songwriter, we had the pleasure of interviewing BAD CHILD over Zoom video! After five years of writing, recording, and performing around the world, the Canadian artist known as BAD CHILD presents his comprehensive debut album Free Trial today via Capitol Records stateside along with 21 Entertainment and Universal Music Canada and Virgin Records in the UK. Listen to Free Trial HERE.Free Trial examines the distorted experience of creating human connection online and acknowledges the challenges that come with navigating emotional concepts through your phone. A concept album structured to feel like a satirical dating app, Free Trial is narrated by voice over clips that guide the listener through the phases of the record like phases of a relationship. The 19-track album features previously released songs and six brand new tracks including “$1,000,000.”Reflecting back on the album now, BAD CHILD puts the music into perspective and honors his early creative process, “I started writing ‘Free Trial’ as a reaction to how I saw people using each other in love and in business, especially online. Almost as if they were Free Trials. I felt a coldness and disconnect from those around me after the trauma I had experienced. This album to a degree was the beginning of my journey trying to understand myself. It’s neurotic and childish in some ways and extremely adult and empty in others. Five years of time passed while making this. I started when I was 18, I remember the summer was colored by Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde.’ I’ve turned into an adult since then. I’m turning 24 next month. This album in a lot of ways is my coming of age. I listen back to it and I feel like I’m listening to an experiment come alive. Its disregard for genre and technique makes me excited for the next chapters in this project. I feel like I’ve knocked down a barrier of my identity. At the end of the day when you hear this record, you’re starting your Free Trial of me.” Digging deeper into the tracks, BAD CHILD notes the importance of each song as building blocks that shaped his sound but also helped him to understand his early experiences of love, loss, intimacy, and anger. “The first song I ever wrote ‘BAD CHILD’ its auto filtered guitar and drum machine. I remember feeling free when I sang about my trauma and when people reacted to me saying it helped them, I knew I had to write more. Songs like ‘Rouge’ dive into the intimacy of becoming an adult and how love is violent and delicate. ‘Royalty’ is a song I want to scare people, it’s about wanting too much and becoming enveloped in greed. It’s very angry and NIN inspired it heavily.” Over the past three years, BAD CHILD has quietly been gathering momentum as an artist. In the summer of 2019, he released his thematic debut EP Sign Up. His song “Candy,” featuring Ryan Chambers, was included on the soundtrack for the highly publicized Netflix film, To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You. BAD CHILD spent the last year reflecting on the music that shaped him; releasing a COVERS EP that included his own interpretations on songs by Harry Styles, Bill Withers and Soundgarden. As well, he flexed the production side of his artistry, experimenting with new sounds and instruments on his own tracks and collaborations.BAD CHILD’s eccentric music and unique vision landed him on the festival circuit last summer playing some of the world’s most prestigious line ups including Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and Osheaga. Earlier this year, BAD CHILD was gearing up to join grandson and NoMBe as support for concerts across North America. Both tours have been postponed in light of the global situation. Ashley Brooke and Ryan Chambers met more than 10 years ago, but their story didn't start until 2012. Ashley's path led her to Ryan after an emotional split from her college boyfriend and first husband. Ashley was rebuilding her life, when her neighbors (who happened to be Ryan's brother and sister-in-law) made it their mission to set the two up. From the onset of their relationship, Ryan stood by Ashley's side, supporting her as she learned to trust and love again. Eager to start their married life together, the two said "I do" only three weeks after getting engaged. Their episode is filled with laughter, tear-jerking stories, and displays of their overwhelming support for one another—especially after Ryan was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. This is their story.
