On the inaugural episode of Dead Men Walking, my guest was Jason Hamlin. Jason is a internationally renown musician, having toured in the United States, Japan, and Europe with the band Scratch Track. Jason is also a fellow curbstone theologian, brother in Christ, and and all around great guy. On this episode we talked about the state of christian worship music in 2020, as well as the lack of production quality in christian rock music in the 1980's-90's. We touched on the importance of hymns in the church, and also got off into a tangent on the prosperity gospel and it's negative effect on the church today. All in all, it was a great first episode, and I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of Jason Hamlin on the Dead Men Walking Podcast. Enjoy!Support the show (https://cash.app/$dmwpodcast)

After a short break, Scratch Track returns with a visit from Cydney (sans gin this time). They talk 23andMe, the origins of Cotton Eyed Joe, and dark children's songs. Then Darin and Cydney test their witch knowledge and try to guess which potions Kyle is describing from the ingredients given. It's magical. Apologies for the long wait between episodes. We have a couple more to be released soon!

Recommended in this episode: Film - The Florida Project, The Shape of Water Television - Twin Peaks Music - Aromanticism by Moses Sumney, Drunk by Thundercat, Three Futures by Torres, Pure Comedy by Father John Misty Books - Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman Video Games - The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild EDITOR'S NOTE: We had a little microphone snafu, causing me (Kyle) to sound clear and understandable, and Darin and Wilson to sound echoey and far away. I did my best to balance out the volume levels, but thank you for bearing with us and our little mistakes.
HERE BE SPOILERS! In this side-instalment of the podcast, Darin, Kyle, and returning guest Michael Stark examine their thoughts on Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
