Al caminar con los ojos bien abiertos, me encontré cara a cara, con El Hombre Verde y varias Mujeres Verdes, que adornan las magníficas fuentes construídas hace siglos. El permanece elocuente, así como las consortes suyas que hallé. Todos tenían mucho qué decir acerca de los desastres que se acumulan a nuestro alrededor, causados por nosotros mismos. Me recordaron la importancia de persistir en darle voz a sus mensajes y las historias fascinantes acerca de su evolución histórica, así como las apariencias periódicas que han realizado en diversas manifestaciones novedosas al cruzarse su camino con nuestra naturaleza humana, rica en narrativas, que persiste en evocar su presencia. Hoy en día, en esta encrucijada de emergencia climática, la figura del Hombre Verde abarca incluso los intentos por despertar nuestra conciencia Verde.

Al inicio del gobierno de Luis Abinader cuando desde el palacio se insistía en la eficiencia del uso de los recursos públicos el tema del subsidio a la electricidad que es un subsidio a los generadores se enfrentó por lo menos verbalmente.El presidente unificó los consejos de administración de las tres edes y los puso bajo la tutela de Celso Marranzini  y se abundó en la retórica de la eficiencia.Hoy un reporte llama la atención sobre el aumento del subsidio eléctrico en el primer trimestre del año y el aumento de las pérdidas de las mentadas EDEs. Del pacto eléctrico no se dice nada. Ese pacto ordena diseñar un plan integral de reducción de las pérdidas de energía hasta lograr un máximo de 15% en un plazo de seis años a razón de un promedio 2.7 puntos porcentuales anuales a partir de las pérdidas existentes en el momento de la firma del Pacto. Un poco antes en diciembre de 2016 el porcentaje de pérdidas al eran de un 31.5%.Hoy estamos hablando de 37% de pérdidas e insisto que nadie habla del mentado pacto que es el único logrado en el gobierno de Abinader.El dominicano promedio no acaba de entender que ese subsidio sale de sus bolsillos pero algún día lo entenderá.La semana pasada cuando estaba hablando del desastres del sistema de salud en el sector público a propósito de nuestra intervención para que una ciudadana fuera asistida en el Padre Billini de nuevo nos bombardearon con las estadísticas de servicios ofrecidos, equipos adquiridos y hospitales remozados para unos hospitales donde ningún funcionario lleva a sus hijos. HOy una crónica de Diario Libre evidencia que igual hace cinco o diez años una familia pobre que va a una consulta hospitalaria tiene que salir de madrugada a ver si recibe atención lo cual no es seguro aunque tenga una cita porque el médico puede faltar.Ayer les comentaba de manera superficial un artículo del nuevo Gurú de las comunicaciones que asegura que cada día aumenta la tendencia a sacar los hechos de los contenidos informativos para colocar las ideas que la gente quiere escuchar.La magia de los algoritmos que para los incautos “adivina” sus expectativas. Los algoritmos de las redes sociales y ahora de muchos medios de comunicación le ofrecen contenidos a partir de sus expectativas.Esto convierte al usuario en un desinformado por opción propia y alejado de la realidad por lo mismo.El único problema del desinformado por opción y entretenido por decisión es que se sigue enfermando, sigue comprando comida cara, sufriendo un transporte ineficiente y no reacciona hasta que choca con la realidad que ha decidido obviar.
