Bongani Bingwa speaks to Adam Gilchrist about the global stories making headlines today, starting with the devastating high-rise fire in Hong Kong’s Tai Po district where at least 44 people have died, 279 remain missing, and three suspects have been arrested for manslaughter as authorities investigate the blaze that required more than 760 firefighters to contain; then to Germany, where a parking warden in the Bavarian city of Kempten is accused of quietly stealing around €1 million in coins from parking meters over several years, triggering a major money-laundering probe after banks flagged unusual deposits; and finally to the United States, where President Donald Trump continued the traditional Thanksgiving turkey pardons, this year sparing Gobble and Waddle, folding the lighthearted ritual into a politically charged atmosphere shaped by his extensive second-term clemency record. 702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg based talk radio station. Bongani makes sense of the news, interviews the key newsmakers of the day, and holds those in power to account on your behalf. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, WJNO's Brian Mudd fills in. President Trump isn't playing games—he's made it crystal clear he's not sitting down with Putin or Zelensky until this peace deal is in its final stages. He's already sent his people to Moscow and Kyiv to iron out the last disagreements, and he says we're getting “very close.” Now, Ukraine is signaling they're ready to move forward, but even they admit the toughest issues have to be handled directly between Trump and Zelensky. After those intense talks in Geneva, Kyiv says they support the “essence” of the deal. Later, in classic Trump fashion, he takes the Thanksgiving turkey pardon—Gobble and Waddle spared—and turns it into a moment to hammer Democrats. He even joked that Biden's turkey pardons last year were “totally invalid” because of an autopen. And let's not forget, this turkey pardon tradition goes way back—Truman got the first bird in 1947, Kennedy offered clemency in '63, and it was George H.W. Bush in '89 who made the “presidential pardon” stick. He also renewed his call for federal intervention in Chicago, saying he could make the city safer in four to ten weeks if Governor Pritzker would let him deploy the National Guard. Gobble gobble! It's pretty much Thanksgiving! This week, Dan and Maureen are reflecting on 2025 so far. Like Trump falling in love with Mamdani. Stuff like that. Also, is stuffing any good? But really, Dan is trying to catch a fly. 90% of this episode is Dan trying to catch a fly, which has got to be a metaphor for something. And since we're talking metaphors, Maureen reads from more of the Nuzzi/Lizza saga because nothing brings a good Thanksgiving meal to an end than a poem that will abolsutely make you barf.Grab a plate, SaysWhovia. The White House says the United States has made "tremendous progress" toward a Russia–Ukraine peace deal. This comes as Army Secretary Dan Driscoll meets with a Russian delegation and Ukraine tentatively agrees to a revised peace deal after weekend talks in Geneva. President Donald Trump ushered in the holidays today, pardoning two turkeys named Gobble and Waddle at a ceremony. He also urged Americans to use Thanksgiving as an opportunity to renew their faith in God. The FBI has requested interviews with the six Democratic lawmakers who posted a video telling military service members to defy what they called illegal orders. Trump has accused the lawmakers of sedition.
Here are 3 big things you need to know— One — The White House is denying a report that President Trump is considering removing FBI Director Kash Patel in the coming months. On Tuesday MSNow cited three people with knowledge of the situation, who say Patel's top aides have become frustrated with headlines generated by Patel, and that top FBI official Andrew Bailey is being considered to replace him. Later, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X, saying the story was completely made up. Two --- A pair of turkeys are enjoying presidential pardons. President Trump signed the paperwork for Gobble and Waddle yesterday in the Rose Garden. Trump took a shot at former President Biden, saying the turkey pardons last year were determined to be invalid because they were signed by an auto-pen. And number three --- The Thanksgiving travel rush is on. The TSA expects to screen over 18-million flyers between today and next Tuesday, and today's the busiest with 52-thousand flights scheduled nation-wide. Officials say air traffic control staffing is back up to pre-government shutdown levels, and flights are largely on-schedule.
It's the annual Turkey Gobbler episode, and this Thanksgiving, David and Brad are serving up a disturbing historical pattern that explains more than you wanted to know. From the Golden State Killer's dime-sized evidence to Hitler's motivations for world domination, the hosts carve into history's most compensatory crimes with forensic precision. Turns out some men are just coming up short in the nature department—and the rest of us pay the price. Also on the holiday menu: creepy AI apps where your dead relatives judge your life choices, Dick Cheney's funeral turned into a petty political pageant, and NFL coaches who really should stick to handling their own balls. The official Turkey of the Year award goes to everyone in government—a truly impressive collection of inadequacies. Gobble gobble.

Buckle up, patriots—@intheMatrixxx and @shadygrooove charge into Season 7, Episode 225, "Turkey Pardon Day Gobble or Waddle?; Kash Patel Transparency Straight to the Point," unleashing razor-sharp analysis on President Trump's high-stakes Thanksgiving mercy mission, pardoning Gobble while Waddle vanishes in a nod to "slam dunk" justice ahead, all amid real-time reactions to administration wins like border security triumphs and D.C. crime drops, while dismantling deep-state deceptions. Relentless truth-seekers Jeff and Shannon expose FBI Director Kash Patel's unprecedented transparency on the Butler assassination attempt—confirming lone wolf Thomas Crooks with no foreign ties, backed by exhaustive device sweeps and interviews—rejecting conspiracy noise and psyop smears from controlled ops like Alex Jones and InfoWars, tied to CIA drug pipelines from Mena to Afghanistan and Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi's networks. They spotlight Trump's bold executive order labeling the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist outfit, cracking down on foreign influence, and call out 501c4 loopholes funneling dark money through Arabella Advisors, urging closure before 2026 midterms. With live intel breakdowns, proofs torching MSM distortions, and community fire against Flynn-Byrne-Powell psyops, they rally the remnant to unite under #TeamChrist, holding the line as InfoWars crumbles—"dead" to true patriots. President Donald Trump spoke with Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Tuesday—their first call since tensions rose over her comments on Japan's possibly defending Taiwan against Chinese aggression. Takaichi said Trump requested the conversation, and reaffirmed their close cooperation. Trump also spoke with China's Xi Jinping on Monday, with Ukraine, fentanyl, and farm-trade issues discussed. Trump also accepted Xi's invitation to visit Beijing in April.A federal judge has dismissed the indictments against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James. The judge also found the appointment of interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan to be unlawful. The indictments were dismissed without prejudice, meaning the cases could be brought back. However, the statute of limitations has already passed for Comey's case, barring the Justice Department from bringing the same charges against him. The DOJ said it would appeal the ruling. Two special turkeys named Gobble and Waddle are set to receive a presidential pardon on Tuesday, an annual tradition ahead of Thanksgiving. The two birds are currently enjoying life at the Willard Hotel ahead of their big debut. The fowl were supplied by Butterball, one of the nation's largest poultry producers. The annual Thanksgiving pardoning tradition goes back to 1989, when President George H.W. Bush pardoned the turkey instead of sending it for slaughter.
