Send us a Text Message.Episode 13 in our Series Step into His Presence“Calling All Superheroes and Sheroes”Look up in the sky. It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's . . . When you were little, did you have a superhero or a super–shero or did you want to be one? I guess for many of us, depending on your age, it was Superman, then as the years went by, it was Wonder Woman. Like any other kid, I loved superheroes too. But do you realize that you are a supernatural hero or shero who can make a difference on the small stage or on the world stage? Yes. You can make a difference through prayer and fasting. Fasting and prayer can change your life and can change the lives of people anywhere in the world. I believe this because of the supernatural superheroes in God's Word who fasted, prayed and changed the outcome of history. But I have also heard of modern-day accounts of how prayer warriors changed things through fasting and prayer and delivered a nation. Let's explore this today. My name is Stephanie Wright. Let's talk about you, the Superhero or Super-Shero prayer warrior. | ReplyForwardAdd reactionIf you want to contact us or comment on this podcast, please visit our website at cgmissions.com/podcast, where all episodes are available by category in series format. In this episode, we are in the presence of a Champion…Our Shero…a revolutionary advocate for this planet and its people, Julia Butterfly Hill! For 738 days Julia Butterfly Hill lived in the canopy of an ancient redwood tree, called Luna, to help make the world aware of the plight of ancient forests. Her courageous act of civil disobedience gained international attention for the redwoods as well as other environmental and social justice issues, which is chronicled in her bestselling book The Legacy of Luna: The Story of a Tree, a Woman, and the Struggle to Save the Redwoods. Our souls are transformed by a Super-Shero of Resilience! Bear it all...push at edges even when it's uncomfortable because that's where growth happens. We find a conscious "No" to one thing is a conscious "Yes" to something else!We don't have to hold it all... just allow it to flow through.Discover a pufferfish transform into a butterfly! With waste, there is no "away". Indigenous cultures don't even have a word for "trash".We don't need more stuff, we need to find more courage, more love. more           connectivity! We dispel the idea of "We the People" and expand to "We the Planet"!Today we strive to do our best to live love in action in every moment. Today we ask  "what kind of world do I want to leave behind with the life that I have led?"Julia, with the great help of steelworkers and environmentalists, successfully negotiated to permanently protect the 1,000 year-old tree and a nearly three – acre buffer zone.On December 18, 1999 Julia Butterfly Hill, then 26, came down to a world that recognized her as a heroine and powerful voice for the environment. Her courage, commitment and profound clarity in articulating a message of hope, empowerment, and love & respect for all life, has inspired millions of people worldwide. After she returned to the ground, Julia toured the world speaking about her experience, and about the many lessons she learned, to the media and audiences large and small. The recipient of numerous prestigious awards and distinctive honors, Julia Butterfly Hill is one of the most internationally recognizable figures in environmental activism.Julia founded the non-profit organization, Circle of Life and was the visionary of We The Planet, setting the standards for green festivals, events, and tours in the US.  She co-founded the Engage Network and is the inspiration behind What's Your Tree. She has addressed the United Nations, lobbied congress, and has continued to stand on the front lines of environmental and social justice issues all over the world.    JULIA SAYS, “When I entered the majestic cathedral of the redwood forest for the first time, my spirit knew it had found what it was searching for. I dropped to my knees and began to cry because I was so overwhelmed by the wisdom, energy and spirituality housed in this holiest of temples”Julia Butterfly Hill is most known for living in a tree, but she has had a wild and full life before and after. Life (UN)Closeted: LGBTQ & Heterosexual Coming Out Stories & Advice for coming out of life's closets!

What do you do when you need some help? Call a super hero. But what do you do when you've been medically laid up, off work, and then jsut as you come out of that challenge, COVID-19 hits? You finally let your dream to be a superhero come to life...or you create your Drag Super-SHERO. Anthony Hand let the solitude of COVID-19 bring his dream of creating a comic book character come to life by introducing the world to the first Drag Super-Shero - Maxxie LAWOW. He's sharing his journey and the impact he hopes to have on the world when you know what the world needs is SHERO! About Anthony Hand Creator, Director, Producer: Anthony Hand is a product designer and former entrepreneur in Silicon Valley where he puts his storytelling skills to use on a daily basis. Anthony has seen every season of RuPaul's Drag Race since Season 1, frequents local and national cabaret and theater, and is a recovering comic book geek. Drag legend Dina Martina is his spirit totem. Anthony is the president of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. Anthony is bringing his feature-length animated film https://www.maxxie.com/ (MAXXIE LAWOW: Drag Super-Shero) to life featuring the very first drag heroine. Backed by both private investors and a fandom that meets at the intersection of LGBTQ+ culture, anime, and a comicbook universe that Marvel and DC have yet to venture into. It will be marked by the film's “Adventure Reel” screening in LGBT+ bars and cafes in major markets around the globe and be the world's first introduction to these over the top, out of the box characters. The films crowdsourced funding initiative on IndieGoGO launches in September of 2021 Anthony believes the world has never needed a super-shero more than during these times that can only best be categorized as “Other”… much like his characters. Our super-shero's first silver screen adventure pits her against her archnemesis Dana Bolical. With a nefarious scheme tucked-up and ready for every situation, Dana will quickly become the villain audiences love to hate. The first animated film to feature a drag superhero—and villain!--, Maxxie LaWow will feature a strong LGBTQ+ and BIPOC cast that will make turn heads and raise carefully plucked eyebrows as it evovlves into a camp favorite that will go down in HERstory. In this episode, I'm talking with Sheri Kurdakul who says she lost her virginity as a child to a family member.  Leaving home as soon as she could escape, Sheri suffered domestic violence in one abusive relationship after another. Unable to leave. When she finally did leave her last abuser, she fled in the middle of the night, with her 1 child and $150 in her pocket. We call her "Super SHEro".  She used new technology, smarts, and pure grit, to develop an app for victims of domestic violence that collect and store legal, court-admissible evidence. Victims of domestic violence face endless legal hurdles. Sheri says that 80% of all domestic violence cases are dismissed largely for “lack of evidence.” Sheri Kurdakul has changed that for so many victims trapped in the cage of domestic terror. Welcome To Season Two Of The Everyday SHEro Podcast! In season two we are focusing on the enchanted Tools that you can incorporate into everyday life to fully support you as you follow Your SHEro's Journey. And to start us off is the Super SHEro is Kris Oster, who loves to defy convention and be ANYTHING BUT NORMAL! Kris teaches others to harness the power of archetypes, magic, and pleasure in everyday life to create more fun, meaning, clarity, and connection. She uses her knowledge and expertise to inspire entrepreneurs as she enjoys life with her family along the Santa Barbara coastline. Join us for more magic from Kris!   In this episode, Kris shares: Kris’s love of mythology began in early childhood, reading stories after dinner. She grew up writing and illustrating books.  “Children are aware of much more than adults and more open than adults are. They have no preconceptions.” As a pre-teen, she read the works of Joseph Campbell, saying, “Everything he said was magic to me.” At a young age, she had a spiritual orientation and became attune to angels. Archetypes are blueprints for how we act in the world and for attributes that reflect back to us. Kris started learning about archetypes and symbolism and reading tarot cards at age 12. “I lived in a state of reverie.” Her special gifts were valued by her family and those around her. She went to college and studied music, cultural anthropology, and music therapy. It was in graduate school that she discovered Mythological Studies. Kris says that we can use archetypes to frame our lives and ask, “What is my place in the world?” People who don’t “fit in” can find meaning and identity in archetypes. Kris’s book is Return to Enchantment: Your Guide to Creating a Magical Livelihood. Kris offers a course that follows her book and includes meditations and exercises. In everyday life, Kris uses oracle cards and her “archetypal imagination” to do the internal work that makes her business and life flow smoothly. She has learned how to turn even negative cards into something useful. Kris is currently developing a set of oracle cards that will provide people with meaning, purpose, confidence, and decision-making abilities. She advocates incorporating archetypes because they are carriers of powerful magic. Anyone can use journals and vision cards to create their own oracle. Top 3 Tips To Add Enchantment To Your Day: Identify your favorite characters and why you love/hate them? Make time for reverie, imagination, and visualisations. Make a list of pleasures and fun that you can accomplish in 10-minute increments.   Favourite Quote: “We don’t see things as they are; we see them as we are.” Anais Nin Favourite Fictional Characters: Maleficent, Harry Potter, and Mary Poppins SuperShero Name: Magical Mer-angel About Kris: Kris Oster loves defying convention and is satisfied to be anything but ‘normal.’She was a rock star marketing director and lead website developer for some pretty big names, including Citrix Online, E! Entertainment Television, Disney, ABC, Paramount Pictures. She even made her employer $1-million with a single e-newsletter once. But, like you, she heard the siren’s call and decided to pursue a life of satisfaction, doing what she loves. In her business and on her blog Kris inspires entrepreneurs who are determine to find more meaning in their business. Through coaching and consultations with heart-centered business owners, she helps them to uncover their own uniqueness and reveal their personal mythology. When Kris isn’t working, you can find her basking along the Santa Barbara, CA coastline, playing her congas, going on dates with her sexy husband, playing in the surf with her 7-year old girl, or talking to Mer-Angels. Join me for an inspiring conversation with Laura and Claire!   In this episode, Laura and Claire share how: Claire experienced depression and fatigue after the birth of her daughter in 2004. She figured out part of her problem was the hatred she felt for her career. Laura lived in London in her early 20’s with a high-powered job, but experienced crippling panic attacks, low self-esteem, and psoriasis. Both women felt unfulfilled and knew that something HAD to change. Claire says she realised that, “This isn’t how I wanted my life to be.” Laura says, “None of this is serving me anymore,” so she hit the restart button to change it all. Both women were excited but scared to take on their own business, but they both realise it was the change in themselves and their emotional state that made ALL the difference. After a bumpy beginning, both received support and encouragement from their families and friends.  “There are difficulties in business, but you can achieve your greatest dreams. That’s the beauty of it.” They realise their “clinic business model” is flawed and inconsistent, but seeing women’s lives changing is the ultimate reward for what they do. What keeps them going is the “fire burning in our belly.” They are passionate about helping women heal from the physical and emotional pain.   Biggest Learning: "It took courage to break out of what others expect and be what they were meant to be." Favourite Quote: (Laura) “I’m having such a good time with dinner.”   (Claire) “It’s all good.”   SuperShero Name: Beatrice and Ermintrude   About Laura and Claire: Claire Snowdon-Darling and Laura Knowles are experts in Alternative Health and Women’s Transformation.
