Welcome to the 2025 Award Show. We start with fight breakdowns. In this episode, we break down Saturday morning's telecast from Saudi Arabia. In the main event, Naoya Inoue rather effortlessly defeated David Picasso. It was a showcase of Inoue's great timing and reflexes, but Picasso proved to be a tough foe, hanging on until the final bell. Yet, the story of the night was Junto Nakatani. Nakatani defeated Sebastian Hernandez, but the result left many with more questions than answers. The fight was close, closer than any Nakatani had as a pro prior. Nakatani opted to fight on the inside at times, a difficult move. Some thought Hernandez won, some thought Nakatani won, as did the judges. In the end, the mega-fight between Inoue and Nakatani has taken a massive hit. Also, Erdison Garcia upset previously unbeaten Taiga Imanaga, and IBF flyweight champion Masamichi Yabuki made his second title defense, knocking out Felix Alvarado in 12 rounds. Next week, we get one fight card from Puerto Rico. Amanda Serrano will face Reina Tellez in a 10-round women's title fight broadcast on DAZN. This will be Serrano's first fight against an opponent named Katie Taylor since the summer of 2024. Tellez will be taking a major leap up in competition as she faces the toughest opponent of her career, replacing Erika Cruz. Other notable bouts on the undercard, Stephanie Han, a women's lightweight titleholder, will face legend Holly Holm, who will not just be battling Han, but father time itself. Holm, now in her 40s, is a boxing pioneer who became a legend for knocking out Ronda Rousey. It was another light weekend in the ring, but we have the recap of the MVP show in Orlando, FL, including an upset in a wild junior middleweight bout. That and some interesting fight news are all part of the "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast."Host T.J. Rives is back with insider Dan Rafael of his Fight Freaks Unite Substack and Newsletter. They have takes on it allStarting with the recap of Saturday's MVP/DAZN cardFlyweight Yankiel Rivera draw with Angelino Cordova, for vacant WBA interim title leads, but this fight a "stink bomb."Bigger was the junior middleweight battle with Abass Baraou and Yoenis Tellez, won by Baraou and he's now the WBA interim champ. The final round was also fantastic and the guys discuss it all.  Also, lightweight Lucas Bahdi decisioned Roger Gutierrez and wins a WBA eliminator bout. And, from Friday night MVP/DAZN cardHeavily touted junior lightweight Jahmal Harvey, a 2024 U.S. Olympian, won his pro debut by first-round TKO. On today's Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by the Go-2-Guy Jim Moore and Mike Garafolo, NFL Network makes a Friday appearance.  Chris Egan, KING 5 has this week off. Puck and Jim open the show discussing Jim's recent visit to Seattle for a health update…he's breaking down!   Jim tells a hilarious story about going to a strip club with Detlef Schrempf.   They discuss the Pacers win and forcing a game 7 in Oklahoma City and they chat about the Mariners decision to DFA Rowdy Tellez after they activated Luke Raley. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network joins Puck and Jim from his shore house in Jersey as he takes a break for the summer before training camp ramps up next month.  The three debate who will have a better upcoming season between Russell Wilson and Aaron Rogers.  Also, Garafolo sides with Jim on his Jalen Milroe bet with Puck.  Puck and Jim say goodbye to Mike and continue to discuss the Mariners lineup this afternoon vs. the Cubs and how terrible it is with Donovan Solano, Mitch Garver and Dylan Moore.  Lastly, Jim's Hot Tub guy makes a surprise visit to the show. Puck says goodbye to Jim and welcomes The Scout to the show for his weekly interview.  The Scout currently works for an MLB team and has been in the game for the past 30 years.  They open up discussing the Rafael Devers trade, then pivot to the best player The Scout has ever seen.  Former Husky Tim Lincecum is brought up by The Scout and he shares his love for Colt Emerson, who he says his glove could play immediately in the MLB.  Finally, it's “Hey, What the Puck!?”  Thank you, Indiana.
