Show us what you’re grateful for in gaming this year! Phil and Senda record a quick episode before American Thanksgiving to tease apart some of the things we are really […]
This week's episode is a little early and lightly edited, since we are all busy with Thanksgiving. Just a quick, fun conversation about things we were thankful for in gaming in 2022! Back to regularly...
It's that time of year where we devote an entire episode to the things we are most thankful in gaming this year. If you're in the states you may be travelling or otherwise in need of some company this week - let us be that for you! As always, we are thankful for you. Thank you!
In our 222nd episode, the Tantrum House crew talk about games coming to crowdfunding platforms and about gaming around Thanksgiving. We also interview Ted from Bezier Games!Sponsors: Meeples Woodworking, Boardwalk, Bezier Games, AEG, The Game Steward, Game Toppers Tantrum House Podcast E.222: "Thanksgaming"File Size: 40717 kbFile Type: mp3Download File [...]
Happy Thanksgaming to all who celebrate! It's that time of year where many will be travelling to see family and we will all wish we could sneak away to relax and play games instead of talking to Uncle Chet about whatever the f*&% he's into on Facebook this year. And this year there's a couple cool things that were announced just in time for our thanksgaming episode! Multiversus is a promising WB Smash clone that will be free to play (buy characters and skins and stuff a la KI) and Project L is shaping up to be a crown jewel assist based fighting game. Happy Holidays doods, we are thankful for you and hope you all have a safe and fun Thanksgaming!
WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! Many ups! Many downs! Many evil ... twisted clowns! But through it all the Gameboiz have been there and this week they're sharing the gaming things they're thankful for. NOT ONLY THAT but they discuss MORE BLIZZARD NEWS as well as WHAT THEY'VE BEEN PLAYING and OPINIONS ON THE NEW POKEMON. That's a LOT of stuff and they're bringing it STRAIGHT to your ears via THIS PODCAST. So check it out and thanks everyone for listening this whole dang time. This week's news discussions: Black Friday deals, Halo Infinite has gone gold, Street Fighter characters coming to Brawlhala, Kojima Productions announced a new division, and so much more. As always, the Introverts return for some more video game discussions surrounding the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Valve's Steam Box consoles, PC, and mobile devices. That's not even some slightly perverted joke. We genuinely talk about both in this episode. This month we are trying to keep it all positive and talk specifically about the stuff we are thankful for. Hop into this first ThanksGaming episode and hear me gush about Back4Blood and Matt feel deep deep feelings for his N64 switch controller. Most importantly, all this month I am just going to remind you that we are thankful for you. Shine on doods!
We are back! (finally) This time we decided to embrace the holiday spirit and give some of the things we are thankful for that the board game hobby has given us. It gets a little sappy at the end of the list so beware ;) We welcome input from our listeners as to what they are thankful for that the hobby has given them. The Backlog Busters are back and Jeremy, Serge, Ryan, Mike and Patrick are cooking up a fantastical meal made from their favorite last gen games! Oh and they'll be talking about all that backlog bustin' they've been doing as well. So, sit back, bring your appetite, and prepare your ears for episode 10 of season 2 of The Backlog Busters! Intro theme by Zack DiPersio and featuring music from the No More Heroes Soundtrack!
The next generation of consoles has barely broken infancy, yet there appears to be no time wasted whatsoever in regard to the future of games.

The Introverts return for some more video game discussions surrounding the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X console release updates. Their round table discussion poses the question of what faces and personalities do for company brands and what Xbox can do to create this dynamic with the players. The What Are Ya Playin' segment highlights Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Demon Souls. They discussed news surrounding Phil Spencer's and Masahiro Sakurai's opinions of the PlayStation 5 and the DualSense controller, the toxicity of console tribalism, PlayStation 5 scams, and more.

Middle Aged Gaming 2020's the Game Show: Happy Thanksgaming! We here at Middle Aged Gaming 2020 understand that family holidays can be stressful, and that is why we are here to help you get through it. Today's game recommendations follow the following three categories: Games that Left you Stuffed - Games that left us with a feeling of satisfaction upon completion. Post Poultry Party - Games to play with friends and family once the turkey has been devoured. Leftovers - Games in our backlog that we've been meaning to get (back) into. Crian's Picks https://www.shadowofwar.com/shadow-of-mordor/ (Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor (Games that Left Us Stuffed)) Who doesn't love a good revenge story? Take on the role of a ranger gifted (cursed?) with immortality. This is a must-play for fans of Tolkien fantasy. It can get a little violent, so it may be best to play this one after the hobbits go to bed. http://www.playoutoftheloop.com/ (Out of the Loop (Post Poultry Party)) Finally, a game about having no clue what's going on. How good are you at faking knowledge on a subject in which you have no clue? https://lifeisstrange.square-enix-games.com/en-us/games/life-is-strange (Life is Strange (Leftovers)) And it gets even weirder when you have the power to manipulate time. Explore the butterfly effect our decisions have on events in "choose your own adventure" style... well... adventure. Adam's Picks https://finalfantasyxv.square-enix-games.com/ (Final Fantasy XV (Games that Left Us Stuffed)) Take on the role of Prince Noctis as you take a road trip on the highway to hell. Can you save the world from eternal darkness? With your best bros in tow, absolutely! And no, you don't need to play the first 14 to understand what's going on. https://www.cleverendeavourgames.com/ultimate-chicken-horse (Ultimate Chicken Horse (Post Poultry Party)) The family that plays together, stays together... or ends up killing one another. Test those familial bonds in the fires of chaos and tomfoolery as you try to reach the flag while making the journey a real pain in the tuchus for everyone else. But hey, we'll all laugh about it later... right? https://www.catherinethegame.com/fullbody/ (Catherine: Full Body (Leftovers)) Do you have the logical skill to climb the tower of babel? Maybe. Do you have the courage to discover the secret behind a string of mysterious deaths? Possibly. Do you have the mental fortitude to deal with three jealous individuals vying for your affection? ... ehhh... One this is for certain though. You're going to get very used to hearing the following phrase: "Undo! Undo! Undo!"
This week on the show we celebrate what we're most thankful for in gaming in 2020, a most UNPRECEDENTED year. Anthony's got his first impressions of The Legend of Zelda: Age of Calamity, Tyler and Wiley have a lengthy AC: Valhalla update as they are both now well into their Viking adventure and Wiley delves into one of 2019's most underrated indie games: Blasphemous. There's a few more games here and there, too. Thanks as always for listening and we hope you had a great Thanksgiving! ^-_-^

No episode this week! Stay safe and relax with yourself or your loved ones! We will be back next week for a standard episode. Happy thanksgiving y'all!
It's a long title. Basically, we are trying to predict which game or games came out this year that will be influential/will be included on a games of the decade list in 2029. Internet was not terribly reliable for this one due to very high winds and so there is some distortion on my side of the conversation which is weird. Sorry.

It’s a short and more heartfelt episode this week. We know. We're pretty nice.Thanksgiving is a day to reflect on what you should really be appreciating in your life. It's a time of looking inside yourself and seeing what makes your thoughts happier and your days more worthwhile. I mean yeah your family is cool and all that stuff, but what we're really talking about here is video games. They're the ones who are always there for you when you need them. They also won't fight about politics at dinner, bring up the fact that you're not using your degree that they helped pay for, and think you should get more serious in your relationships...Anyway, there are things in the gaming world that deserve a little more recognition this time of year. So that's exactly what we here at the Bored Certified Gaming Podcast are going to do. There are a few we think deserve a shout out and maybe a bit more attention in the public eye than they are currently getting. The guys discuss how Xbox is killing it with the Xbox Adaptive controller and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, give props to the Sonic the Hedgehog movie for listening to its fans pleas, and talk about some of those sweet Black Friday video game deals we're all truly thankful for.We hope you enjoy it, and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

On this week's Esportsmanlike Conduct, we celebrate a very special thanksgiving episode by hanging up our whistles and talking about things we are actually THANKFUL for in Esports. We had to talk about some big pieces of news this week, but we wanted to end on a positive note - and give thanks for the doods, and games over the last year. Happy Thanksgiving (to those that celebrate) and safe travels. Thank you, and Shine on Doods!

Happy Thanksgiving from us here at Meeple Overboard! In today's episode, we describe just a few of the reasons we're grateful to be in the hobby in our Thanksgaming segment. Then we talk about the rich history of butter (rich, get it? eh? eh?), and instead of a single review, we're doing 8 mini reviews all cram packed into about a minute each. It’s a day after Thanksgiving, but that isn’t going to stop us from talking about games. This week we talk about the games we were thankful for this year. But before we do that, we have a nice Under Your Thumb this week. Anthony and Justin lead off, and what do you know, more Fallout 4. Anthony also had another game to talk about: Blood Bourne: Old Hunters DLC. Brian’s next and talks more Tomb Raider and blows Justin’s mind with Fallout 4 remote play. The ultimate toilet game. Finally, Stephen brings some games to the table. Fallout 3, Mario Kart DS, and Xenoblade Chronicles were all Under His Thumb this week. It's Thanksgiving time here in the U.S., so Jorge and I decided to get into the spirit of the holiday. We cover everything from Batman to sado-masochism, and we're looking forward to hearing about the game-related things that make you optimistic! Additionally, Jorge and I reveal our new initiative to learn more about a certain sizable, yet often under-analyzed, segment of the video game world and we solicit your help!
