Normally, on My Paranormal Experience, we don't cover Sasquatch-related experiences. For tonight's 100th episode, however, we're going to make an exception. You see, tonight's guest has had experiences with Sasquatch that are quite a bit different than most other Sasquatch eyewitnesses. Her experiences with them have had true, paranormal, qualities. If you listen to tonight's show, not only will you get to hear her share her experiences with them, there's also a good chance you'll have reservations about ever going into the woods alone, again. If you've had a paranormal experience and would like to be a guest on the show, please go to https://www.MyParaEx.com and let us know. Thanks for listening!

My guest on this episode is Erin Pepler. Erin is a freelance writer whose work has appeared in Today's Parent, Parents Canada, SavvyMom, Romper, Scary Mommy, MoneySense, Broadview Magazine and more. Her first book, Send Me Into the Woods Alone: Essays on Motherhood, was published by Invisible Publishing in 2022. Writing about the book in the Globe and Mail, Marsha Lederman said that Send Me Into the Woods Alone “is the book I wish I had had as a companion during those early, difficult months and early, difficult years. Because this book is not just instructive and insightful, it is great company. And hilarious.” Erin and I talk about the tricky business of writing a book with two kids underfoot, how her Covid-aware book launch was almost derailed by her getting Covid right before it, and about the messages she receives every day from readers who want to share their own stories. Now that we've had the first few snowfalls of the season, we've been hearing a lot about snowmobile safety and ice safety. But, something that few of us have thought about is moose hunting safety. Wearing the right clothing, taking a buddy, and letting people know where you're going are all important safety practices. Ed Power of Grand Falls-Windsor was hunting in the Badger area last week, and ran intro trouble on the wet bog that was covered in snow. A problem with his heart left him unable to move on the bog. A bit of a cautionary tale here. Ed Power joined us to talk about his experience.
What a great episode! We didn't know how this one was going to turn out because we were all delirious and tired but we put on another great show for you. We talk about being dropped off in the woods, great ideas that are bad ideas, football, and our Super High 5 animals.

Dr. Rich May is an Idaho professional sports chiropractic specialist. In this interview, Dr. May discusses CHANGE. We all know change can be difficult! One major reason that makes change difficult is that we are not ready and willing for change. We may be comfortable where we are and even scared to step into the unknown. As long as our current state provides us with comfort and security, making the change will be difficult. Even if that current state is toxic to us and the ones we love-long term. Dr. Fred Clary, founder of Functional Analysis Chiropractic Technique and lifting/life coach/ gym-chalk covered philosopher asks interviews a doctor that discovered a radical way to quickly change.

In 1913 outdoorsman Joseph Knowles pledged to spend two months in the woods of northern Maine, naked and alone, fending for himself "without the slightest communication or aid from the outside world." In this week's episode of the Futility Closet podcast we'll follow Knowles' adventures in the woods and the controversy that followed his return to civilization. We'll also consider the roots of nostalgia and puzzle over some busy brothers. Intro: In 1972, a French physicist discovered a natural uranium reactor operating underground in Gabon. Don't Go in the Woods (or, Don't Go in the Woods…Alone) is a 1981 slasher, which benefited from its inclusion on the UK Video Nasties list. But really, it has none of what we've come to associate with said list, namely the nudity and the conspicuous gore. A bunch of campers, led by a wilderness … Continue reading Really Awful Movies: Ep 146 – Don't Go in the Woods →
