EP 70 What Could Replace Addiction?

Play Episode Listen Later Feb 25, 2024 15:23

In the previous episode we noted that merely focusing on practicing the mutually beneficial win-win situations will not fulfil our longing for meaning and connection. Thus it may not be sufficient to move us out of an increasingly addictive world, where all we have are fast pleasure hits provided by addictively designed food or social media. What is more satisfying than the currently addictive model of society? The key to this question has been presented to us for thousands of years in all sorts of mystical traditions.  Here we look at chapter 38 of the 2500 year old "Tao Teh Ching" by Lao Tzu, translated by Hua-Ching Ni.We also look at what it predicts will happen, step by step, if one is not in touch with ones inner essence. And we look at what it suggests one do to find a way of living aligned with all, so that kindness is natural and the win-win interactions become beautiful and satisfying. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me, do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

They may originate in traumas, developmental traumas and this form our personalities, telling us who we are. They may come from our society and be partially factual or fictional.By moving beyond our current identity we can loosen the grip they have on us.This move will also tend to move us beyond just mutually beneficial exchanges, where we exchange one thing for another, into deeply meaningful and satisfying interactions. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me, do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

Beauty with capital B is like God with capital G - inexplicable.  And yet, there is so much to say.It is our essence.  It is one part of the trinity of our essence: Beauty, Consciousness, Love.Beauty is related to one of the fundamental ways in which we experience, in particular through perception.  It is tied to Being. Moving away from our wholeness we move into separation, and it becomes more and more difficult to find beauty in all form, though it is its essence. We also talk about Consciousness and how it is tied to our awareness, our thoughts and our sequential sense of time. And we mention how Love provides us a direction and dynamics and is the essence of all feelings.  When moving into separation it becomes fear.We also talk about Art being able to move us closer to Beauty, and thus closer to our essence and talk about the idea that the purpose of Art is to reveal Beauty. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me, do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

The idea of moving from Beauty can be accessed through all we do but is perhaps easier to find through dance. When we move from Beauty we act from an expanded sense of self and a larger perspective.  We act from love, instead of acting from fear.By letting go, opening up, becoming present, receiving and inviting in the moment we can let Beauty build up in us until it becomes almost inevitable for us to move from it.  Then we move in service to it and it becomes of benefit to all.  Practicing moving from Beauty can be deeply transformative and profoundly meaningful, and is, unsurprisingly, in service to our world. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

Is it possible to keep our faith in spite of all the dark moments we experience?  What is faith?  What can we base it on an how can we use it to have a beautiful life?We start off by listening to a part of the tango “Tormenta” (Storm, in English), arranged by Carlos di Sarli featuring Mario Pomar, as a poetic expression for the lack of faith in life."...Yo siento que mi fe se tambalea, que la gente mala, vive¡Dios! mejor que yo…"In English:"...I feel that my faith falters, that bad people live,God! better than me..."We note that, as we spoke in the previous episode, the systems of our world are set up in a way that favours people who are not ethical actors. However, we also note that we are actually not set up in that way.  We actually prefer love over what we call negative emotions.   In wishing to live in a way that enables these expansive emotions we actually use faith.Such a way is similar to what we discussed in episode 47, where we do not focus on the details and the reductionistic step-by-step process in the beginning.  Instead we need to be able to open up to a wider field of possibilities, potentialities. The basis of faith is uncertainty and our knowledge of how profoundly limited we are in our minds. We mention Michael A. Singer and his book "The Surrender Experiment", as an example of a person who manages to let go of his attachments to the details and roles and is thus able to live a life filled with miracles. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

Why is life so difficult?  Why do we have to struggle so much and yet often gain so little?  Why are millions starving?  Why is there so much lack and why is abundance so difficult to come by?Even though most would agree that abundance and love are what we value, the systems around our material world are not set up that way.Instead our systems are set up to value scarcity.  We protect it and manufacture it.  And we use fear to make sure that we can keep whatever scarce goods we can gain.Is it possible to build a system that values abundance instead of scarcity?  What would that mean? Then, that which we value would not be something that could bring me an advantage over someone else, instead we would value that which elevates us all the most.  This requires a profound change in all of our interactions, including communication, and could lead to a system where we would live more aligned with who we feel we are and with what we feel we value (love, freedom, creativity, abundance). If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

Inspired by the movement called "Effective Altruism", I asked myself the question as I have seen it posed:  "How can I do the most good, given my limited resources?"As I asked it, I wondered if the second part of the question, "...given my limited resources", was not tripping me up in finding the most natural answer.  To show how the second part is problematic I start out by one of the suggestions from the Effective Altruism community members, which proposes that we end greed.   Thus we explore the subject of greed, desire, power, time itself, instant gratification, addiction, sacrifice, and end up focusing on identity. If we were to act from our infinite essence, as our essence, within the finite world, would the natural consequence not be that of automatically doing "the most good"?If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

"The Devil is in the Structure", and it is the structure, or the system, that provides a slanting floor and makes it easier for us to become, identify as, and live as agents for the system.Systems ultimately lend us their eyes and we end up seeing the world through their perspective, losing other sight.  We talk about this in the context of the system of "Capitalism".If this is so, what type of system or structure would we be interested in?  How would we like to see the world? We mention that our current system is in the ending phase of self-termination.  To create one that may stand a chance to survive long-term and thrive, combining with our nature, we look to a system beyond separation, where all-win is the objective. We briefly say state some of the core issues to be addressed.  Thus the easier, and harder, path to becoming what you truly choose to become, based on your pure inspiration, is one where we start by living in a way that eventually creates a structure, or system, which allows us to envision the world as we truly wish to see it. Understanding how and why judgement is problematic for us may be helpful in directing our attention towards alternative ways of being. In our society we have been trained away from our natural way of being into a way that is based around praise and punishment, judgement, and consequently violence.  We employ this when interacting with others as well as with ourselves. It takes away our ability of being present to the beauty of the moment and reduces our ability to solve problems.  On a level of society it is currently driving us into extinction. We can, however, move into a fuller, wiser, way of being, that will bring satisfaction.  It is a way of being beyond the Mind.By learning to pay attention to when we tense up physically as well as emotionally and when we judge, we can start practicing "letting go".  By spending time in non-objective meditation, we can become more confident in our nature and allow ourselves to let go of the identification with our roles. This way we may anchor our mind in our heart and naturally live from it, as opposed to living from the stagnant constructs of judgement. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

This episode is actually inspired by a Disney song.  We all probably know that what we focus on we tend to notice more of and who/what we identify as provides a perspective for our life.   These are almost cliché, and yet when used wisely can prove life changing. Many of our globally most impactful problems can be traced back to an "we - they" outlook on life.  It is the ancient win-lose game of tribes that is currently no longer possible to uphold and have humanity and most of the species on Earth survive. In the podcast I mention a pdf I just finished drawing with these insights.  Download the pdf with my pictures, called "The Societal Glitch", from here: http://basiapiechocinska.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/The-Societal-Glitch.pdfThe song, previously alluded to, is called "You're Welcome", and if listened to with a particular mindset provides a beautiful use of the idea of focus on what is true and beautiful together with an insight regarding our inextricable identity with all that is.   You are given, gifted the ability to play your very particular and creative role because of all that is.  You can be you because of everything else and every being that came before you.  You have not "earned" it.  You have not "paid" for it.  You are gifted it.  You're welcome.By listening to the song and seeing, Maui, the demi-god, as a representation of Nature, you can get that feeling.  Listen to the song "You're Welcome" here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79DijItQXMMIf you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

How can we have a more deeply satisfying life?  Perhaps if we gain clarity around why we are here we will be able to see our purpose and then possibly move in a direction of fulfilling it, and that might be satisfying. We all seem to want to move in the direction that makes us feel better.   If we follow this we might end up with greater satisfaction but the more limitations we identify with, the more limited our satisfaction will be.   This is because we will attempt to defend those limitations to make sure we can satisfy the needs related to them.  We will tend to become more selfish.  This will reduce our satisfaction as greed, defensiveness, isolation, etc become more prominent. If we instead take the path of service to others, then we will notice that a problem may arise if we move far enough, as we neglect our personal needs.  This may be draining and not as deeply satisfying. What is the path?  Some might say that the most satisfying solution is to find balance.   But is it?1Or is there another path that is even more satisfying?  The path I propose is that of transcendence.  We discussed it in the episode 39, on the Unifying and Transcending Dynamics.  It means to find what it perpendicular to it and moving into that dimension.   It means to move up the pendulum of duality. Thus, in this case you are not here for your particular self, nor are you here for others, instead you are here as an expression of divinity.   And when you can live from that you will be able to find an even deeper level of satisfaction. We end this episode by talking about how you can use intention in order to start applying the idea of being an expression of the infinite. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

In this explorative episode we ask the material universe might be created as a type of Fourier Transform and how that could relate to more "New Age" types of ideas. We also ask about the atemporal types of experiences that people who experience near death circumstances go through and how they might be connected to the ideas of a frequency space. If the material universe is based on something like a Fourier Transformation, then all that is is created from a sort of primordial "sound".It would be interesting to know what the primordial frequencies are.  And so, physics explorations may be fruitful.  If we choose to explore a more spiritual path, then quieting the mind may provide us greater access to the frequency space, from which timelines originate. If you are interested in more physics oriented types of explorations of the Holographic Order, based on as few suppositions as possible, then you may enjoy "Physics from Wholeness: Dynamical Totality as a Conceptual Foundation for Physical Theories".If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

We talk about the pervasiveness of the Holographic Order and how by aligning with it we may be served.  This is equally important and useful for what is perhaps seen as most fundamental science, such as physics, as for social constructions, and what may seem to be spiritual or religious. We start by talking about how physicists look for un underlying order, beyond space-time, and how the physicist David Bohm looked for the Generative Order, that would also bring a direction into the dynamics and be capable of a sort of creativity.   We mention how the quantum theory originally moved us away from ontology, and took physics to be algorithms with predictive power. We ask if we can base our search for the underlying order on something more certain than the dubious supposition of materialism.  And so, instead with build the most real ontology we can think of and by logically following three realisations we end up in the Holographic Order. The assertions are that:  1.  There is Being. 2.  Being is unique. 3. A consequence of Being being unique we get the Holographic Order. Then we look at how reflecting the holographic order in our societal structures may be of benefit.   Finally, we look at how we personally may start using the naturally holographic structure in our lives. You can read more about the Holographic Order and also find links to mathematical descriptions of it at https://basiapiechocinska.com/wholeness-preserving-movement/.Also, recently a friend of mine gave me a nerdy first bitcoin block mug that I really enjoyed and so I decided to also create a nerdy Holographic Order derivation mug for myself.   And if this is something that would make you smile as you have your tea or coffee you can find it here https://www.zazzle.co.uk/classic_physics_nerd_mug_325_ml_coffee_mug-168904102968991668.If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

As some of you may know, 42 is the answer to the ultimate question on Life, the Universe, and Everything.  :)We honour Douglas Adams' idea from his book, "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", and explore its depth by noting that meaning, connection, and transcendence are found by focusing in on the questions, rather than the answers. We look at how this applies to practical human interactions, and how by asking questions around values we are brought into a more open space of potentialities, allowing us to find a common path of expression. Then we move onto our actual experience, seeing how our perceptions display what already has been created.  By moving into the space where we hang out with ourselves (see episode 41) we are moved into the open space of potential, where the that result in our experiences questions are asked.  By being more keenly aware of these questions our life experience takes on a beautifully satisfying hue of meaning. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

I have started creating a website, BasiaPiechocinska.com, where I will eventually be putting my "Make Sense" - game. The purpose is to learn to focus on what really matters to us, so that we may connect on a deeper, more satisfying and meaningful level.  The game is based on unifying and transcending dynamics.  There are three parts, each related to a mode of experiencing:  Make Sense - Mind, Make Sense - Heart, and Make Sense- Senses. The process in all of the modes is that of first opening up, or unifying,  and then of expanding, or transcending. The idea of transcending may be seen as finding a perpendicular dimension and moving into it, like finding the y-axis in a Cartesian x-y-coordinate system.  The dynamics of transcendence requires first the dynamics of unification or opening up so that we can see the full "x-axis" and realise what "perpendicular to it" means.  Transcendence is a bit at odds with the dynamics of war or fighting, which is a separating dynamics that tends to keep us within the same dimension, and fixated only on a part of it.Do give me some feed-back if you end up playing the game (once it is up).If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

In this episode I talk about where the ideas pertaining to Unifying and Transcending Dynamics originate. We can see the pattern that when an empire reaches its phase of affluence is when moral decline starts to set in. Our current empire is in its final phase of chaos and lack of morals and ethics. This makes it reasonable to want to go back to focusing on morals and ethics, and because we quickly need to change things, use will power to put us "back on track". But have we ever been "on track"? We have done iterations of this pattern, over and over, and we have not seen it culminate in a peaceful world. We even have countries, like the United States of America, that were initially built on this model. And yet, it has not worked out.Is there an alternative? What would it be interesting to stress in the alternative? Here we talk about the Unifying and Transcending Dynamics as a way of relating to ourselves internally as well as with the world and in particular with other beings. It is unifying in all three aspects of the human experience, meaning in thought, emotion, and perceptions. It is transcending as it creatively takes us beyond what was previously realised.By recognising its impact and therefore choosing to move more and more towards this way of relating and interacting, we can start to build a solid base for a butterfly version of existence. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. Because we are in a meaning crisis, as nicely presented in the Youtube series of John Vervaeke "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis", we examine the concept of meaning. To find out how we can make life experience more meaningful we start by examining what experience is, and then what "making more meaningful" means.By experience we mean thoughts, feelings/emotions, and perceptions.  By making more meaningful we settle on the idea of unification within the three arenas as well as between them. Then we see that the deeper we go into either one, the greater meaning we find, and the more "real" things become.  We notice that the three arenas converge in Awareness, Bliss, and Being, the trinity of who we really are.  Therefore, a path towards self-knowledge is one that brings more meaning into our life.If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.  And, of course, if you would like to see more content from me do sponsor me on https://www.patreon.com/basia because that will allow me to focus more on content creation.

How much of our thinking is conditioned by the historical setting? We have already mentioned how our way of thinking is conditioned by our personal developmental traumas. In episode 6 we talked about the sadness in the schizoid structure. But how much of our intuition and our insights are just reiterations of what has already happened in similar historical settings and not really particular to us?In this episode I take a look at two intuitions that are strong in me. One is that of knowing who we are. The other is to move towards unity and thereby especially love and a heart-centered way of being, instead of separation such as fear. Then we go back to Vedas, stop in ancient Athens at the beginning of democracy, look at what Socrates was trying to achieve and his connection to uncertainty, Plato and his egoically highjacked prisoners in the cave, how Hellenistic turmoil led the philosophers to become therapists, like the Stoics, only to finish with Augustinus and the turmoil of the fall of Rome.If you find this historical digression interesting you will enjoy John Vervaeke´s youtube series on "Awakening from the Meaning Crisis", where he discusses many of these and many, many other fascinating issues.Throughout all we see the repetition of these themes, expressed in terms that were pertinent to the particular times. And so, the two intuitions that happen to arise inside of me, are just an expression of our times. There is nothing particularly original or personal to them. We can use this realisation and thus loosen our grip on our insights and realisations and our instinct to identify with them. We are truly beyond them. And perhaps in these times more of us will ultimately be able to realise this and bring about a substantial transformation. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. As discussed in the previous episode, holding onto knowledge can lead us to identify with it and stop our search for and openness to new information. It can become a self-imposed limit, where we put ourselves in a box that we end up defending and fighting for.Uncertainty provides us with the gift of presence and opens us up to further development. In our current societies we often learn most through challenging and painful experiences. The cycles of life and death assist us in our development by stripping us of our identification with certain roles and forcing surrender into the present. But there is another way to grow, where suffering is not required, By learning to become comfortable with uncertainty we can start moving into it. By relinquishing our need to know and our need to feel particular feelings, such as hopefulness or hopelessness, we liberate our potential.A first step may be just to start noticing when we cling to certainty and welcoming the moments when we notices distress due to lack of certainty as opportunities for practice.Movement in our Universe is possible due to uncertainty and infinity. When we identify with the infinite potential we are, we open the door to a spectacular life. It is a life where no knowledge is a threat to our identity. It is a heart-centered life of active creation through inspiration and deep connection with all.If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. I was inspired to talk about knowledge because I remembered an old saying that tells children that knowledge is the key to power. This has, indeed, been the model of our society. We know that power can be problematic but is there any danger associated with knowledge? We look at how a knowledge focused life removes significance from it.We start by talking about how knowledge is about limits and boundaries, and how when focusing on it we easily identify with our specific roles and the content of our knowledge. We look at how knowledge is the point at which we stop our development and any further thinking. We look at how our purpose and survival easily become tangled up with it and how we thus tend to defend our limitations, our pause in development. We also mention that, as spoken about in episode 34, we might already have an intuition that will point us to move toward a more meaning oriented and all-win system. In particular we look at how affirming another person's fixed role changes the dynamics of interaction and closes people off. Thus, if instead of focusing on knowledge and identifying with it and our roles we can identify with our infinite nature, as infinite potential, as learners, we may open up to a fascinating dynamics that leads to a life of connection, significance, and exhilaration. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. In this episode we ask if we do not already have a "Butterfly Intuition". By "Butterfly Intuition" I refer to the metaphorical butterfly that we have a chance of turning into personally and as a society and civilisation. It is an intuition that guides us to make all-win choices. We talk about the idea of diversity and based on it we look at how it appears in our current win-lose, competitive dynamics and its role in the all-win system. We talk about how appearance and image is important in our current dynamics and how this is related to competitive information processing where judgement is a first key element and we see how polarisation and fighting for positions of power come in.We contrast this to information processing in the all-win system and we see that appearance no longer plays the same role and in fact mostly distorts desirable information. The dynamics is that of starting by searching for a point of connections, seeing what we resonate with, what makes sense to us in the communication of the other person. From there we expand the basis adding experience from other perspectives and creativity in a joint exploration, where learning is the focus. Here we stop to talk about how diversity becomes a natural point of interest as it broadens the reach of perspectives and is capable of providing greater insight. Then we point out that we now have technology that could work with this type of human interactions. Indeed systems such as "the wisdom of crowds" work best when the input is from autonomous, diverse, and independent sources. Such systems could be used as systems of organisation, as opposed to the current hierarchical systems of power, whose shortcomings we are aware of and have explored for thousands of years. Finally, we end by returning to the idea that because this is a heart centered system it actually feels better to interact in than our current system. And so, by paying attention to how we feel and then employing out logical powers of discernment we may have an internal guide to assist in out collaborative transition into a metaphorical butterfly (as discussed in a previous episode). If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. We also look at where win-lose and win-win dynamics fit in.The three persons are fictitious but it is easy for us to tend to lean more towards one of them. By choosing to allow the view and focus of the third person we automatically gain a number of advantages as to our mode of operation in the world and how we feel about it. We start out this episode asking if the effects on people of social online platforms might actually end up a helpful catalyst in the transition from a suicidal society, on the brink of extinction, to something new.We talk about how the effects of the platforms are accentuating separation, disconnection, and fuling adversarial dynamics. Thus, they are bringing light to some underlying problems in societal dynamics. A past solution has been to strengthen authority and impose a top down framework within which to operate. We know that such as solution is currently leading to our demise. Thus we look at an alternative. In particular we look at decentralised nets where each person gains both power and freedom. We discuss how the information processing in such networks differs from the top-down, hierarchical structures. We address subjects like egoic manipulation incentives, clarity, and creativity. We relate it to the "Yes, and..."- technique of improvisation and also talk about the relation to it being heart centered. We briefly mention how this the all-win-decentralised-network dynamics is a fractal manifestation of the deeper dynamics of creation, due to the holographic order, and how it is constantly fed by unity. We finalise by stressing the importance of our de-identification with any set structure so that we may continue in a growth mindset, learning as opposed to knowing. What if we all learn this and we all make personal sacrifices to make it all work? Such societies already exist and involve a great deal of suffering. And so, we propose that the key to a working transformation is an actual internal shift that involves us learning about who we are. By doing this a number of hitherto seemingly unsolvable pieces automatically fall into place. We ask if we are ready for such a shift now and what is holding us back. Finally we talk about all sorts of little things we may start doing to start moving in that direction. Among them I reference the idea that science is now ripe for moving beyond materialism and that seeing this may be helpful, as many of us believe in science. I heard Daniel Schmachtenberger talk about the idea of our currently global society going through a metamorphosis. So, I decided to see how far I could take the metaphor. We start by looking at the stages of the maturation of a caterpillar, and then at its metamorphosis into a butterfly, focusing on what drives it. Then, we quickly look at the stages of the empires, recapitulating that we are now at a the final stage of one. We look at what is different about the fall of the current empire, as compared to the previous ones. Then, we search for possible indications suggesting that we may be at a stage that is mature enough to transform into something new and we look for the driver of it.In the caterpillar the juvenile hormone keeps its butterfly potential asleep until metamorphosis. Is there an unrealised potential that is being kept asleep in humans? If so, what is keeping it asleep? What prevents us from awakening? We briefly mention the problems that religions have faced when trying to instill virtues (as we have already looked at them in previous episodes in greater detail). And, not surprisingly, we offer the idea that a key issue that delays the awakening process is related to misidentification. We propose that once mainstream science advances past the materialist assumption it may not only provide us with new technologies and greater insights into the cosmos but into who we are and better align our identification process. We also talk about how current technology has the potential of being assembled into a system that may address past issues that lead empires to collapse. Based on the cycles of empires there are a few things we need to solve in order to make it work. We also talk about some big changes that are taking place where forward looking nations expand into renewable energy, greater interconnectivity infrastructure, 3D printing, etc. And we mention some of the ideas we discussed in episode 18, around conceptual changes taking place in how we view certain basic ideas like freedom.Subsequently, we move into the main idea, referring to having a society where the most individuals feel abundant. We ask if a Universal Basic Income would solve this. We ask if the types of religions we find in our society would be helpful in the abundant society. We look at the problems they present. Finally we propose a descriptive solution. If the individuals in such a society were made aware of who they are, it would automatically take them to a place of starting out from a feeling of abundance. I reference the documentary Simply Raw and Gabriel Cousens´ book on reversing diabetes. We talk about Maslow´s hierarchy of needs and how despite it being logical its direct pursuit, in the sense of focusing on survival needs first, leads to suffering. We briefly reiterate episode 19 where we talk about how being good is good but how focusing on wanting to be good leads into a trap of fear and suffering. Finally, we discuss unconditional love and how attempting to pursue it may lead to disconnection, as opposed to leading to greater love.If focusing on what we want leads us astray, what can be done? Bringing the focus back to who we actually are and living from that experience we automatically resolve the last three issues. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. EP23 Two Part Illumination Process

We talk about an underlying order to all that is, and look at how it is reflected in the illumination process. We go into the two parts of the illumination process and see how the first can be fairly easily understood, whereas the second requires us to move beyond our mind, and therefore also takes us beyond the logical and causal structures of the expressed Universe.By seeing looking at some intricacies with mathematical infinities we propose a way for "understanding" what may be required to achieve the second part of the illumination process.I also talk about how being comes from Wholeness in podcast episode 10. There, I go deeper into the ontology of it all. Here I only do a two sentence recap and then focus more on other things. And in episode 14, The Appearance of Multiplicity, I talk about the trinity that is at the base of the holographic pulsation of creation. And, on my website you can find more information related to all of this, from a physics standpoint (with links to publications in physics), a spiritual standpoint (with links to books - like my book "Non-Duality Illustrated"), as well as a more poetic standpoint. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. Finding out what actually moves you can be profoundly insightful, healing, and even provide you with a meaning and direction in life.As you recall a few situations from your life that moved you and ask what it is about those particular situations that moved you, you will be able to glean a pattern. This is a pattern that is pointing to an often hidden belief that is so terrible that it is guarded by defence mechanisms. The situation that moved you, actually got you to consider the possibility that this deep-seated belief might not be true. And it actually made you a little more whole. And by providing these types of experiences to others, you will be deeply satisfied and feel that your life has meaning, as you are progressing towards the identification with who you truly are.You are not your beliefs. You are not your defence mechanisms. You are the worthy, abundant, fully loved and loving being that experiences this life.In this episode I give you three examples of stories that moved me and show you how they relate to a particular part of my character structure beliefs, related to the schizoid structure (from Bioenergetics). If you want to find out more about Bioenergetics you can take my course at Udemy, "Bioenergetics - How and Why You Became the Way You Are".If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. In the 1970's we had Raymond Moody who wrote very interesting books about near-death experiences. Then, we got accounts from people working with persons who were dying, and hospice workers. Now, we also have the material from Peter Fenwick, who started studying the different processes of dying.Based on this, as well as looking at accounts by hypnotherapists that take their subjects beyond their death or birth, we can start paining a picture of what death may be like. There seem to be distinct phases, and we can often know ahead of time that we are about to die. But we have to be open to the signals. Interestingly enough, it seems that there are things we can prepare, so that our death experience will be a pleasant one. These things also happen to bring us peace and joy in our life.If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts. The method for achieving something may sometimes be quite different from our understanding of the concept one is trying to achieve. Moving towards fearlessness is not necessarily best achieved by going through ones fears. There is actually another way that can sometimes be more efficient and very helpful.By expanding our perspective we may automatically remove layers of fear. And we can use fear and other triggers to show us where there is room for expansion, so that we can become more free.We also talk about how censorship is a perspective founded on fear. Then we talk about Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and how to achieve happiness by inverting it. We finish up tying this in with episode 19 and the idea that being good is good but doing to become good is problematic in the same manner.By expanding our perspective, expanding what we identify with, we will move away from fear and towards greater freedom. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions for the podcast you can contact me on Instagram @BasiasThoughts.
