Dr. Cam is back, sharing how to get the most out of your grey and white matter, and offering his top strategies and protocols for keeping those neurons wiring and firing at their best. The brain is one of the most neglected parts of most people's fitness and health plans but just like your biceps, glutes, or heart, it needs to be trained to function anywhere near optimally. In my opinion, most people experience cognitive decline faster than they need to - not because of age, but because they do bugger-all to keep their brain in shape. When everythig is a priority, nothing is a priorityWhat is a priority? The word priority comes from the Anglo-Norman French word priorie, which means “elder or superior of a religious order.” A priory is a small monaster y or nunnery governed by a prior or a prioress. In today's world, a priority is something governed by a higher order. In this podcast I'll make the case that your highest priorities are best derived from your purpose and promises. Doing this purposefully as opposed to accidentally is the purpose of our podcast....Resource:Force Field Analysis https://asq.org/quality-resources/force-field-analysis

In this episode of The Ecommerce Podcast, host Matt Edmundson interviews Matt Stafford, CEO of Build Grow Scale, about revenue optimisation strategies for e-commerce websites. Stafford shares valuable insights on improving conversion rates, including optimising checkout processes, using effective button colours and text, and leveraging customer feedback. The conversation covers practical tips for enhancing website performance and increasing sales without necessarily increasing traffic.---Timestamps:0:00 - Introduction and guest background3:24 - Matthew's journey into ecommerce6:13 - The importance of Google Analytics12:38 - Starting optimisation from the back of the store19:49 - The hierarchy of focus principle24:20 - Button text and colour optimisation30:38 - The power of website optimisation over increasing ad spend32:45 - Mobile vs desktop conversion rates36:50 - The one question that can transform your business---Key Takeaways:1. Start with Cart and Checkout OptimisationMatthew Stafford emphasises the importance of beginning with the cart and checkout process when optimising your ecommerce site. By enhancing these areas first, you ensure that any improvements made elsewhere on the site directly contribute to increased revenue. This approach prioritises revenue optimisation over mere conversion rate improvements.2. Use Unique Colours for Call-to-Action ButtonsStafford advises using a distinct colour for call-to-action buttons that stands out from the rest of the site's theme. This makes it clear to customers what the next step is, thereby improving the user experience and boosting conversions. The focus should be on clarity and visibility rather than adhering to a specific colour scheme.3. Leverage Customer Feedback on the Thank You PageImplement a pop-up on the thank you page asking customers, "What was the one thing that almost made you not buy?" This feedback is invaluable for identifying and addressing potential issues in the purchasing process. Stafford notes that some of their top improvements have come from insights gained through this simple question.---If this episode of the eCommerce Podcast piqued your interest make sure to check out everything that gets done over here on the eCommerce Podcast, a space dedicated to eCommerce Wow!
Munster Technological University is pleased to announce the launch of a pioneering PhD research project titled "Exploring the Optimisation of Ireland's Response Rate to the Challenges and Opportunities Afforded to Industry and Enterprise by GenAI". The research is supported by TU Rise and aims to seek to nurture and support innovative enterprises, elevate the global competitiveness of Irish based companies, expand export opportunities and ultimately lead to increased revenues and employment across key industry sectors. The research will be undertaken by Mr. Patrick Shields, MBA, who brings over 20 years of domestic and international Leadership and Management experience in industry. Patrick's research will focus on how businesses can harness GenAI to drive efficiencies and respond effectively to global market demands. With AI set to disrupt traditional business models, informed adoption, responsible usage, and proactive skills development are critical for long-term success. The supervisory team is led by the Principal Investigator and First Supervisor, Dr. Angela Wright School of Business, supported by the Second Supervisor and Head of Department, OPD, School of Business, Dr. Breda O'Dwyer. Industry Mentor Ms Sharon Lehane and AI Mentor Dr Sourabh Bharti bring wide-ranging expertise in AI research, enterprise collaboration, finance, and machine learning, ensuring the project is guided by a robust mix of academic and practical insights. Through close collaboration with industry partners who opt into the research, Mr Shields will co-create best-practice frameworks that businesses can implement. The work aligns with the Irish Government's ambition to have 75% of Irish businesses using AI by 2030 and will address policy needs at both national and EU levels, including the emerging regulations and standards highlighted by the NSAI Standards and Assurance Roadmap for AI. This PhD research has the potential to significantly benefit Irish enterprises by identifying practical solutions to the challenges posed by GenAI, contributing to Ireland's competitiveness and supporting businesses in adopting AI responsibly.
