Along the way, they also talk about state versus federal laws and the focus on them, the need for better laws to avoid the Supreme Court, why people need to leave their states if they don't like their laws, the need for less lawyers in our government, and many other topics. In this week's Big Rant, the guys tackle the news that Elon Musk is possibly looking to purchase the social media platform, Twitter. Some think this is great news that will usher in a new era of "Free Speech" on the platform. Others see it as the beginning of the end for Twitter. We don't share either of these opinions and actually think that Twitter itself, let alone the fact that a billionaire wants to buy it, is not that important. See what we have to say about this and what it could mean for all social media platforms going forward.
In this segment, we talk about the things in life that REALLY suck, whether that's certain technologies, people, or sports teams, everything and ANYTHING is on the table! And yes, we know that some of the things we discuss have positive aspects, too, but we are here to focus on the SUCK. In this edition, Chris, Andre, and Joe compare noted directors and franchise-killers James Cameron and Ridley Scott. Will the Titanic-maker hit an iceberg and sink or will Scott survive the Last Duel? Who do you think SUCKS MORE? Let us know in the comments!
The guys are back to wrap up Season 1 of Moon Knight with their review of the finale, Episode 6, and then an overall review of the whole season. Included in this review is a ranking of all the Marvel/Disney+ Series to-date. Some of the biggest issues the guys had with the finale were: - Bad CGI - Lack of explanation about why things were happening - Flubbing the timeline from previous episodes - Predictable post-credits scene Listen to the episode to learn what other issues the guys had, as well as some of their favorite parts (yes, they actually liked some things, too!). What did you think of the final episode and Season 1 overall? Leave us a comment below or hit us up at comments@chrisandandreshow.com.
The guys are catching up on Moon Knight, this week reviewing and recapping episodes 4 and 5. In Episode 4, The Tomb, Mark/Steven and Layla discover Amit's tomb but must make their way to a certain chamber to locate her Ushabti before Harrow can. In Episode 5, Asylum, Mark finds himself in a psychiatric ward with Dr. Harrow, but quickly discovers that things are not as they seem. He and Steven must navigate their version of the afterlife to try and balance their hearts before they reach their final destination. The guys biggest issues are revealed, focusing on the treatment of mental health issues across all the episodes and what they feel is sometimes lazy screenwriting, but also highlight some of the better parts of the show, like Steven coming into his own and finally getting to the characters' origin story.
The guys are back with another episode of Disney and Marvel's Moon Knight to review and recap for you! In episode three, we saw Marc Spector traversing Egypt in search of Amit's tomb and leaning on Steven to help him solve some puzzles. Did the show provide enough time to develop the story, or did they rush through things to get to a certain point? And is six episodes enough to tell the story that they want to tell? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
Chris and Andre tackle the latest news from around the globe in 10 minutes to help keep you up-to-date on what's happening, and also what's not. In this week's Big Rant, the guys talk about John Oliver's plan to get members of Congress to pass data privacy protections by legally obtaining and threatening to release sensitive information about said members of Congress. They also talk about Bo Hines, an opportunistic North Carolina political candidate who recently received a “full endorsement” from Donald Trump, but who seems to be only hitting on the typical right-wing talking points. Andre shares his thoughts on supposed congressional candidate Herschel Walker and his decision to skip a debate. Lastly, the guys determine the real solution is to find and promote more independent politicians that aren't hamstrung by either political party.
In this segment, we talk about the things in life that REALLY suck, whether that's certain technologies, people, or sports teams, everything and ANYTHING is on the table! And yes, we know that some of the things we discuss have positive aspects, too, but we are here to focus on the SUCK. This week, we focus on two CULTURES: Cancel Culture and Bro Culture. Cancel Culture seemed like a good idea at first, a modernization of boycotting that has probably gotten out of hand while Bro Culture is a way for people to fit in to an increasingly obnoxious and toxic group mentality. Who do you think SUCKS MORE? Let us know in the comments!
The new Marvel series on Disney+ has been generally popular with fans so far, but the guys have a few issues they address in this review of Episodes 1 & 2. What are your thoughts on the show so far? Leave us a comment below!

(00:00:00) The guys are back at it, taking aim at the pitfalls of Social Media and people's obsession with fads, trends, whatever might be popular at this moment across multiple platforms. They start out looking at The Toxic World of Self Help, which includes the need for side hustles and so-called gurus. (00:14:00) Next, they talk about self-help in business and share their past experiences at the infamous “E-Area” when Chris was promoted to managing a team for the first time and the steps the company took to bring everyone in the management group up-to-speed quickly, which were ultimately unsuccessful. (00:27:00) The guys try to explain the best way to interact with people on social media platforms, based on their past experiences, and then get into where these platforms totally miss the mark on amplifying things for the wrong reasons. (00:37:30) Chris takes issue with the things people get upset about when there are so many valid reasons to be angry/pissed off/disgusted with what is going on in the world right now. (00:41:30) Chris tells his favorite “E-Area” story about going on vacation when they were launching a new website, being vaguely threatened by the CEO, and how that moment was an epiphany for him why delaying gratification for your employer will almost never work out in the long-run. (00:48:00) Andre explains why he thinks “Cancel Culture” will become an ethnic battleground. (00:54:30) The guys close things out with Chris giving a quick recap of The Giver, a book about a seemingly idyllic world where differences and disagreements have been all but eliminated and how everything essentially becomes boring as hell.

This guy sucks so much he took up the whole fight card by himself! Tune in to see why we both think Vin Diesel SUCKS MORE. Who do you think SUCKS MORE? Let us know in the comments!

(00:00:00) Spoiler-Free Reviews - The guys each provide their top-level reviews of the film, making sure not to give away anything that hasn't been shown in the trailers or that isn't already widely known. The guys give away all the secrets and minor details that they can remember from the movie, including where Pattison ranks amongst other Batmen, and where the movie itself ranks compared to all the others that have come before it. Ultimately, they answer the question: Is It Great Or Does It Suck?
Chris and Andre take on some heavier subjects, including the rise of talking points in everyday conversations, the moves to cancel Joe Rogan, and why we as a society struggle to acknowledge the problems we are facing. (00:00:00) Intros (00:00:52) Chris and Andre discuss a couple more serious topics, starting with the rise in talking point conversations and why we can't seem to move past those or race, continuing and expanding on their discussion about Joe Rogan. (00:21:49) Then the guys ask the big question, “Why can't we acknowledge our problems?” and explain what they do to try and understand other people's points of view and how to avoid pointless conversations. (01:02:58) The guys take some time to give people their flowers while they are still here, with shout outs to The Cosmic Wonder channel on YouTube and the WV Uncommonplace Podcast, which they both rock with. Andre and special guest, Christian Sinclair, argue about the merit in saying things like, "I don't like Kanye." This turns into a larger discussion about society's tendency to build people up into heroes, only to cast them down when they inevitably prove to be flawed. Is there any value in criticizing celebrities, musicians, and pop culture icons for their behavior? Or are we better off focussing our efforts elsewhere? Watch the whole conversation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfCzW1VFWBI
Chris and Joe disagree vehemently with Andre's take on Peacemaker, the new hboMAX show from James Gunn starring John Cena and a well-rounded ensemble cast. Andre continues to bash James Gunn, though he does admit that Episode 4 has him wondering if there's more to the show than he's giving it credit. Chris and Joe argue in favor of the show, highlighting the character-driven elements and the hilarious jokes sandwiched in between action scene and poignant thinking moments. In the end, we'll have to see what the rest of the season brings and whether or not Chris and Joe can get Andre over to the "dark side"... Watch the entire episode on our site: https://chrisandandreshow.com/episode-93-the-truth-about-hip-hop-and-the-music-industry/
Joe Biden gets in trouble for calling someone a “stupid S.O.B.”, Tom Brady is out of the playoffs, Docker is begging for money, Kyrsten Sinema gets censured, Bitcoin reveals itself to be the scam it really is, and Adult Swim shows how nervous they are about Arcane's success with a public swipe.
In this episode of The Chris and Andre Show, the guys welcome special guest, Christian Sinclair Powell, to talk comic adaptations with Spider-Man: No Way Home and Peacemaker, and close things out with a deep dive into Hip-Hop and the current state of the music industry. (00:00:00) Intros - Chris is in Denver, but that won't stop the guys from recording a new episode, especially with a special guest like Christian Sinclair Powell joining them! (00:03:46) Quick Hits - Joe Biden gets in trouble for calling someone a “stupid S.O.B.”, Tom Brady is out of the playoffs, Docker is begging for money, Kyrsten Sinema gets censured, Bitcoin reveals itself to be the scam it really is, and Adult Swim shows how nervous they are about Arcane's success with a public swipe. (00:23:48) Pop Culture - Andre finally sat down to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home and shares his thoughts, much to the dismay of both Chris and Joe. In this episode of The Chris and Andre Show, guest Jai-Li joins Chris, Andre, and Joe to talk about her experience so far at N.C. State and her takes on social media influencers. The guys also talk about closing tax loopholes and McDonald's ongoing racism issues, the canceling of N.C. State's bowl game, and finally a huge argument erupts over which director is worse, James Gunn or Zack Snyder. (00:00:00) Intros - Andre's daughter Jai-Li joins the guys, along with Friend-of-the-show Joe, as they talk about her experience in college and some business topics. (00:09:24) Life - Jai-Li is enrolled in the Undecided Program at N.C. State this year and describes what life as a freshman in that program is like and the panel debates the need for a 4-year college during the first two years of basic courses. We also get to hear a funny story about the time Jai-Li babysat Chris's daughter a couple years ago. (00:35:45) Business - Andre argues that most people don't know what being an “entrepreneur” actually means and that being an Instagram Influencer is not a real job, Chris gets upset about a new tax loophole he learned about that people have been exploiting for years now, and the guys discuss a few unique cases of employees being fired during the ongoing hiring issue. To close our Business, Andre reveals the company he used to work for as he, Chris, and Joe discuss McDonald's continued issues with racism and its black operators. (01:36:21) Sports - Chris is bummed N.C. State won't get to play its bowl game this year but understands why (while simultaneously calling our UCLA), Andre is ready for the Broncos to clean house, and Chris explains why he's pulling for the Colts now. (01:44:00) Pop Culture - Things get heated at the end of this segment as Chris and Andre argue over which director is worse: Zack Snyder or James Gunn, but not before they talk about The Many Debts of 50 Cent and his particular way of demanding payment, and the announcement that the X-Men will be joining Avengers (in the Marvel COMICs). But the real fireworks stem from an unplanned debate over which director Chris and Andre like less: Jame Gunn or Zack Snyder. Andre is firmly in the “James Gunn is worse” camp while Chris says the only reason we know about Zack Snyder is because Joss Whedon made a bad movie. Watch the sparks fly as the two hosts go toe-to-toe while Friend-of-the-Show-Joe sits back and tries not to get hit by any flying furniture.
