Alex shares a local restaurant owner's take on authenticity in terms of ethnic food as it pertains to the general public. Michelle shares some information about Mazza Gallerie closing down and being sold as a foreclosure. Alex talks about a local MoCo resident athlete who weighed in on the Big 10 postponing sports for the year. Alex talks about local restaurants temporarily closing, and other more permanent closings. Michelle provides her thoughts on the private school debate as it relates to reopening, as well as “Shop Maryland Tax Free Week” as Alex clarifies what that actually means. There has been discussion of adding new districts to the area that would allow for more representation at the county council level. He details what the reopening of Woodward High School, and how it will impact other area schools. Alex tells us about a local old-timer who was recently featured on the Major League Baseball website, and statistics on the percentage of people who are wearing masks in the area. In episode 96 of The MoCo Show, Alex and Michelle begin by giving an update on the MCPS announcement to begin school entirely online. They share their insights as teachers, and discuss why they agree with the decision. They proceed to discuss the conclusion of the Greek Food MoCo Eats Tournament, and the beginning of the Best Deli in MoCo Tournament. Alex tells us about national hot dog (or glizzy) day, and some online encounters with MoCo-grown celebrities! Alex tells us about a massive burger he ate, and Michelle discusses some local food challenges that can potentially win someone a free bite! Being teachers, Alex and Michelle discuss the switch to virtual schooling for the upcoming year and some of issues it could cause, as well as alternative solutions. They elaborate on openings and closings in the area, and conclude the show by discussing government relief funding from COVID and some of the controversy around it, how to spell Michelle's last name (Katz), and the Montgomery County Police Scanner. Additionally, they elaborate on how MoCo alcohol laws impact certain restaurants from coming to the area.

Alex raises the idea that Gaithersburg is considering lowering the voting age for city elections, and Gavin chimes in with his thoughts on the matter. Alex provides some insights from Eric Heckman, owner of Caddie's in Bethesda who released 10 tips on going to a restaurant in this health climate. Alex and Gavin take some time to commemorate the life of Wes Unseld, a former NBA basketball player and coach for the Washington Bullets. Alex discusses some more openings and closings that have occurred recently, and discusses with Gavin what they would like to see come to the area. Alex wraps up the show by sharing a list of black-owned restaurants to support in MoCo and the surrounding area!

In the newest episode of the MoCo Show, Dan Reed (author of the blog "Just Up the Pike") joins the show to discuss how school boundary changes worked out logistically in the past, as well as how he sees it working in the current political, social, and educational climates. He clears up some terms being used around the topic, and defines what they mean currently vs. where these terms originated. Alex discusses some new openings and closings, as well as his “Couch to 5k” plan to stay in shape and reach a running goal during quarantine. Dan and Alex discuss their experiences in COVID reopening, as well as how political ads impact their platforms and viewership.

In episode 87 of the MoCo Show, Toby Knapp — host on Toby & Chili Mornings (97.1 WASH-FM) and long time fan of the show — joins Alex to talk about political influence on their respective shows, as Alex discusses how and why the MoCo show runs political ads during primary elections. Toby talks about how he fell in love with Rockville and the Montgomery County area after moving here in 2006. He elaborates on some of his favorite parts about the area, and talks with Alex about how social media can impact job outlooks. Alex even takes things back to normal by discussing a few openings and closings! Toby and Alex bond over their food choices and habits, and provide opinions on some local eateries.

Nurit Coomb, MoCo show's resident Real Estate expert, joins the show to talk about Caronavirus's effet on Real Estate. Alex gives us an update on some of the numbers surrounding the virus. He discusses how he believes that Governor Hogan will impliment phase one of the reopening of local businesses. Nurit gives us the 411 on who has been most heavily impacted in the real estate economy. She tells us all about how tours have changed for most people, and what Team Nurit is doing to ensure the safety of their customers. In other news, Alex talks about new courses coming to local schools, including an LGBTQ History Course! It will be the first of its kind in the United States! Alex also talks about local people who went on to gain worldwide fame, as well as stories about famous figures visiting the area! Alex proceeds to discuss food biases based on where you've lived (such as pizza from New York), and concludes the show with a bit of his own MoCo history!
