As we move into the millennium, Tony Moran's light continued to get even brighter. He remixed some of the most iconic songs and DIVAS of the 21st century that his discography reads like a who's who list in the Party Favorz Diva Hall of Fame. No need to drop names because they're all here. Instead of breaking up his work for the past two decades, I went ahead and combined them giving fans a taste of old and new all rolled into the last 22 years of his career — a career that's still going strong today. I need to comb through the next installment of Thank God It's Disco but otherwise, that set is already in the can and should drop Saturday. Next week, I plan on shaking the release schedule up with some releases that are a bit unexpected before dropping the final two installments of these back to back series the week after. I've been slammed at home with a ton of projects and will be spending the day in Atlanta just as a major storm is coming into town (oh joy). Regardless, I managed to stay on top of everything so for now it's full steam ahead. Until the next time...ENJOY! There is a ton of fantastic music sandwiched in here for this weekend's White Party festivities and as usual, much of it is brand-spanking new. I've got a funky house set going up tomorrow which is some of the best work I've done in a while. Then again, I'm only as good as the music being released. I guess they were saving all the good stuff for WMC. More on that tomorrow. In the meantime, if you're hitting the road for Florida, I've got your soundtrack to get you all psyched up for the fun ahead. I'll be back tomorrow with another new set. Rick had his car towed to the dealership last night because his tire blew out. He gets free tires for life, so he had his car towed to the Atlanta dealership 20 miles away. I got up early this morning to drive him to the dealership so he could pick it up and get to work. During that ride, I finally had the opportunity to confirm what I already knew about the first Circuit set of the year. That is; it kicks some serious ASS! The sun was out and at a cool 40 degrees with the windows down, the heat on high and the stereo blaring with a Starbucks coffee in one hand and the other on the steering wheel, I could've driven all morning long. The Winter Edition 2k17 is a serious workout that has more energy than 10 cans of Red Bull. Our favorite San Francisco label Swishcraft is leading the pack with four entries followed by our 'IT' boys of the moment Barry Harris and Dan Thomas. The full remixes are out on Donna Summer & Barbra Streisand's eponymous late-70's disco duet 'Enough Is Enough'. While the overall package is a little less creative than I would have liked the two standouts are Offer Nissim's take (featured in last month's Holiday Edition 2k16 pt. 2) and now our favorite BOYS from Houston, Mark D. & JD Arnold a.k.a. Dirty Disco. Speaking of which, they teamed up with one of our favorite (albeit disgraced) DIVAS Kim English for a new uplifting, energetic version of her former number one 'Treat Me Right' complete with all new vocals. Much like Donna Summer, I have it in my heart for forgiveness; especially when someone's work speaks to me and has provided so much meaning throughout my life. I would be remiss if I didn't mention another one of our favorite DIVAS, Miss LeAnn Rimes. The woman is back and packing a punch with 'Long Live Love'. I've included the knuckle-dragging Ivan Gomez mix here but don't pass up on the Dave Aude version which is as good.
