Gourmet FM ha sido un lugar de encuentro, un refugio donde hemos podido dar voz a tantos y tantos profesionales del vino y la gastronomía, desde bodegueros hasta chefs, desde pequeños productores hasta grandes figuras del sector. En este espacio hemos dado vida a sus historias, hemos saboreado sus proyectos y hemos aprendido, juntos, a apreciar aún más la riqueza de la cultura enogastronómica. Desde que comenzamos allá por 2017, cuando emitíamos bajo el nombre de Tomares Gourmet, nuestro objetivo ha sido claro: acercar a los oyentes a ese universo apasionante que es el mundo del vino y la gastronomía. Y a lo largo de estos años, hemos crecido, evolucionado, pero siempre manteniendo la esencia de aquel proyecto inicial. Hoy, cuando miro atrás, veo un camino lleno de satisfacciones, de retos superados y de metas alcanzadas, pero también de sueños que siguen vivos, que nos impulsan a seguir adelante. No puedo empezar esta nueva temporada sin daros las gracias, de corazón, a vosotros, nuestros oyentes. Sois el alma de este programa. Cada comentario, cada mensaje que recibo, cada vez que alguien me cuenta que Gourmet FM le ha inspirado a conocer más sobre el vino o a probar una nueva receta, es una motivación inmensa para seguir. Initially, I wasn't certain how mixing in her current releases with her biggest hits from 10, 15 years ago would work so I dropped in several updated bootlegs that stayed true to the originals, while modernizing those songs for today's dance floors. I kept several of the original remixes from the time of their release because they work just as well now as they did when they were originally released. I finally got around to perfecting the remastering of older material to tone down pitchy high ssss you hear in some songs, expanded the dynamics on others that sounded a bit flat and punching up the bass to round it out so it didn't sound too cold like much of the original software used to create the mixes. This is a time-consuming process but with the help of ChatGPT, it made it much easier to be able to fine-tune these settings. I couldn't be happier and plan on deploying some of these techniques in future releases (especially Circuit & Anthems where many of the DJs don't use plugins for a more professional sound). All the remaining big hits like "On A Night Like This," "Spinnig Around," "Slow," "Love At First Sight," "Into the Blue," "The One," and "Breathe" are included here along with many current releases since "Tension" plus rare gems that never charted in the U.S. but had a minor prescence elsewhere. This truly is the Kylie Minogue wet dream all the gay boys have been waiting for. I only hope that I did the Queen justice. A mediados de junio, la justicia de Estados Unidos determinó que Chiquita Brands, una compañía que produce y distribuye bananas desde hace más de un siglo, es responsable de financiar ocho asesinatos cometidos por paramilitares en Colombia. La multinacional tiene una larga historia de manipulación política y explotación en América Latina, y este fallo judicial solo es la culminación de cientos de casos que enfrenta. El triunfo de las víctimas, además, sienta un precedente para otras demandas similares en la región. Como hemos dicho en más de una ocasión, los videojuegos son el medio cultural y también social, con un poder de las comunidades con difícil comparación con otros medios. Una buena prueba de ello es la iniciativa y el juego protagonistas hoy. Estamos en 1999, y hablamos de ‘La Prisión’ un juego innovador, online, y que por la visión de Dinamic Multimedia y de su jefe entonces José Ignacio Gómez Centurión (fundador también de Hobby Press) , se vendió en quioscos y con un arriesgado formato de suscripción online en la época en la que recién empezaban a salir las tarifas planas. Su sistema de combate en clanes, su chat y la vida que los jugadores le dieron ha superado hasta hace muy poco todas las adversidades, incluidas el cierre de Dinamic Multimedia al poco de lanzarse. Son los jugadores los que han seguido habitado este proyecto MMORPG (Multijugador Masivo Online Role Play Game ) y que tras el cierre de servidores en 2018 se han encargado de revivir este juego con tantas cosas que decir aún y con el aspecto renovado del motor gráfico Unreal Engine 5. Es por eso por lo que hoy vamos a conocer los prisioneros Eduardo Beltrán, Javier Castro y Adrián Cuesta , programadores e impulsores de Imprisoned, el proyecto para revivir la mítica La Prisión desde el más puro altruismo. A partir de 1930 se inició un cambio en el arte colombiano que marcó una ruptura frente a los temas y técnicas tradicionales que se representaban en el arte académico en Colombia. Pronto, estas nuevas vanguardias del arte chocaron con la moral y férrea religiosidad de los antioqueños. Las obras artísticas que protagonizaban sátira, desnudos y temas políticos, fueron catalogadas como “sediciosas”, “morbosas”, “satánicas” y hasta “pornográficas”. Creaciones estéticas fuera de todo canon aceptable por la sociedad antioqueña, que fueron censuradas con la excusa del uso de los desnudos, pero que en realidad tenían trasfondos políticos o religiosos. Este ensayo estudia los elementos griegos y judíos que prepararon el camino a los diagramas gnósticos fijando su atención en algunos focos de irradiación que se hallan en las áreas culturales griega y judía. Aunque este libro lleve el título de Filósofos griegos, videntes judíos, no trata ni de filosofía griega ni de la videncia judía en general, sino de aquellas filosofías y videncias que prepararon la síntesis gnóstica. Pero este estudio va más allá, pues las filosofías y las videncias que se investigan muestran en vivo dos resortes fundamentales de la percepción humana, dos modos utilizados por el hombre para entender el mundo y entenderse a sí mismo. El gozne que une esos dos modos intelectivos tan diferentes es el arte de la memoria, ya que ésta se basa en visualizaciones que fácilmente originan visiones. Las visualizaciones griegas tienen un carácter técnico-práctico de tipo educativo o moral, mientras que las visiones judías atienden más bien a la contemplación mística de lo divino a través del Carro-Trono del Templo ideal. En este ensayo, se recorre así una línea cuyos puntos más extremos son el raciocinio y la videncia imaginaria en estado puro, dos modos del espíritu que han hecho que nuestra cultura sea lo que realmente es, incluso en su fase contemporánea.

Party Favorz is back with volume 3 of the Ultimate Collection of the greatest Trash Disco tracks of all time. I've been running a bit behind because I noticed after the first volume, some of the transitions were misaligned once exported to file. This tends to be the case when I'm dealing with mixes over 2 hours long and I've been performing a multitude of tasks on my computer involving mastering, whether it be automated or manually. I have a super fast computer with an i7 3.2 GHz processor and 32 GB of RAM, so it can handle the workload. However, I find that I frequently need to flush my temp files and reboot the computer to dump the memory to prevent these mistakes from happening. Nevertheless, they still do. I'll likely need to go back and comb through volume 2 to ensure its integrity. This shouldn't be confused with some of the beats sounding like they're mismatched when in fact they're not. These are old songs from the days when they used live musicians to create the disco tracks; violins and all. Using today's technology to align the beats for a DJ friendly transition, makes it easier for folks like me. However, since these songs were created by real persons, timing is always off on the originals, which is where the automated beat correction comes into play. It usually creates a garage type sound that was common in the 90's when it aligns the beats adding an extra 1/8 to the beat. I like to call these dirty beats. There is one song by Carol Jiana "Hit 'N Run Lover" where the entire drums and percussion were so misaligned, you'd think the session players were novices. To fix that entire song, you'd literally need to isolate each sound and then recombine them, which would be time-consuming. I compared the original 12" with the Digital Visions edit and the same issue persists, even though the actual beats were aligned properly. It's a great song that's been reworked a multitude of times over the years, including a new vocal version by Carol herself. If it wasn't so important to the annals of Disco history, it would not have been included. Now that I have totally bored you with information you likely don't care about, it's time to dive back into the Disco scene. It was a complete system gone bonkers as everything came on but the engine wouldn't turn over. The dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree including battery, oil, and a series of messages including brake malfunction. These newer computerized cars that practically drive themselves, are not all they're cracked up to be. I realize, this happens to everyday folks all the time, but it just seems with me that it's one thing after another. Sometimes, it feels like I'm cursed and every week brings a new headache. Nevertheless, that's not your problem. I'm just venting because I can. I'm currently working on a new set for Underground House, meaning a whole bunch of new Tech-House hits coming your way next week. The week after that, I plan on a birthday surprise for myself (I deserve it) and will be delivering a new Legacy entry for one of my favorite DJ/producers of the moment. He's only been around for several years, but the man is simply burning it up with his modern-day disco-infused remixes. For now, I'll just leave it at that, because this set is smoking HOT! There's been some consternation over the reduced number of episodes in the feed from 300 to 50. Everything is still here just not in the feed which affects all streaming platforms. For those not familiar with how iTunes manages your downloads and want to know how to prevent it from deleting them, please read this FAQ I created some years ago. The iTunes player has had multiple updates since that post and may not be exact but approximate. The instructions are for a PC and would be different on a Mac and/or smartphone but at least you know what you're looking for. In fact, I've caught on to a trend that's been consistent for a long while now. The Circuit Tribal House and EDM Dance Club sets I put out generates a lot of heat on initial release. This is from what I call the early adopters. Three months later, these very same sets explode even more as folks become more familiar with the songs. A good example is the Holiday Edition 2017 had been riding high for the past couple of weeks. That was released in December. I wade through hundreds of submissions from labels, DJ's and charts for each compilation every month. I then research and compile the tracks I think will click with users. I throw in a few things that I know won't but I'm really digging as the DJ's pick. I'm not always right but overall I have a pretty damn good track record [pat on the back]. Don't be surprised to see this set ride up the "Popular" list and then quickly drop down and then reemerge in June again at the top. It happens all the time. Since I'm going to be out of the loop for awhile, I want to send out a friendly reminder that I'm trying to raise $183 for the website hosting that renews on April 12th. Currently, we are now at $96.00 with only $86 more to go. The way I see it is that the average number of downloads per episode over the past 12 months is approximately 1,000 users. Some are more than others but that's the average. If just a quarter of you donated $1.00 towards my efforts for providing you with downtime pleasure I could easily make this up without the hassle of begging. My mother wants to have his ashes sent from Houston to Dallas so they can bury him there. My father is my best friend and I've already missed our Sunday conversations as he spews his FOX news talking points and I counter with my liberal positions. This is a hard one for me and I'm not sure how I'll handle it. Sometimes, I just dig into my work to provide a distraction. I've already compiled the tracks for the next Underground House set and may just work on it shortly to have it ready as a stop-gap later in April. I just know I have to walk away for awhile but I will be back so don't freak out. There's a lot going on this weekend with the March for Our Lives in DC headed by some very aggressively smart kids. Dirty Disco. HO! HO! HO! I wasn't sure how to pull this off but somehow I managed. I had several dance tunes leftover from X-mas Dance 2010 and 2K14 that I wasn't sure how to incorporate into a cohesive set. With a few new entries showing up and help from our good friend Marshall B., I was able to string together an all new set that includes some of our favorite tunes from season's past. X-mas Dance 2K16 is one BIG fat continuous holiday dance mix that hits all the right notes and includes remixes from several decades starting from the 70's [gulp]. Buenas noches soñadores diurnos, buenas días Twitterland, buenas tardes Internet. Bienvenidos a pulsotwitter.com, el podcast que mide las constantes vitales de la Sociedad del Conocimiento, tomando el pulso de sus venas twitteras. Un proyecto que nace desde cero para reclamar un espacio en el corazón de todos los que escuchéis, participéis, critiquéis y compartáis difundiendo, este archivo digital. No sé muy bien qué somos, ni falta que nos hace. Nos reinventaremos todos los días al ritmo que marque la cadencia coronaria del planeta twitter. Sístole y diástole, palpitaciones, taquicardias, hipertensión intelectual pum pum, pum pum, pum pum... Nuestras pretensiones son altas porque buscamos alterar tu conciencia de los acontecimientos, tu visión de la sociedad que te rodea. Queremos excitar tu curiosidad, despertar tu pensamiento crítico. Así que se nos ha ocurrido cuestionar discursos oficiales y oficiosos, arrancar corsets intelectuales, patear prejuicios y no poner más normas que el respeto irrenunciable por los demás. Tómate un respiro antes de escuchar lo que te quiero decir: En pulsotwitter.com, como en twitter, SOMOS LO QUE PENSAMOS. Eres lo que Piensas! ojo: no lo confundas con ser lo que piensas que eres, porque no es lo mismo... Eres Tus Pensamientos, Tus Ideas. Es tu decisión elegir cómo las presentas, con lo que expreses y cómo lo expreses tanto cómo con lo que calles y cómo lo calles... En fin, que ahí os dejo el trabalenguas para destrabar vuestras neuronas y no me enrollo más, que se me agotan los 140 caracteres. pulsotwitter.com en pricipio será un Portal de Podcast para tratar cuestiones que llamen nuestra atención. Hablaremos de Redes Sociales, Medios, Negocios, Manifestaciones Culturales, Tecnología, , Política y lo que se tercie, mantendremos un factor común: el pulso que marque twitter. En twitter buscaremos a las personas con autoridad crítica que estén dispuestas a expresar una opinión inteligente sobre esos temas y los laceraremos con nuestra insaciable curiosidad, porque si algo nos define es un apetito pantagruélico por el conocimiento. Suena sesudo, pero no lo es, porque no buscamos difusión científica, que también, sino diversión intelectual. Ambas presentes, y siempre abundantes, en ese fantástico invento llamado twitter. Hoy jueves, 17 de Noviembre de 2011, es el día cero... Independientemente de los temas que tratemos, Pulsotwitter tiene pretensiones universales. pretendemos que nuestros contenidos interesen a personas de diferentes nacionalidades. El planeta digital carece de fronteras, así que no vamos a ser tan necios como para ponerlas, peor imponerlas, desde aquí. Dicho esto, estamos a 3 días de unas elecciones nacionales en España y con la excusa de los comicios queremos evaluar el Estado de la Sociedad Española planteando conceptos que son perfectamente extrapolables a otros países. Así que si no eres Español o no te interesan las elecciones en ese país, no importa: quédate con nosotros y déjate sorprender. "No vivimos en una época de cambios, estamos presenciando un cambio de época" parece una frase vacía, resultona, redonda, 75 caracteres... perfecta para twitter. No recuerdo a quien se la escuché o donde la leí. Por supuesto no reclamo su autoría, pero me sirve de excusa para presentar el tema de hoy. Una base para abrir el debate, matizando que, en mi opinión, falla al convertirnos en espectadores usando el verbo presenciar, cuando pienso que hoy, cada ser humano tiene la oportunidad de ser mucho más importante e influyente en el devenir de los acontecimientos que marcan el curso de la Historia. Ser espectador dejó de ser una obligada imposición para convertirse en una elección personal. Con esta frase voy a dar la bienvenida a los encargados de definir el pulso del podcast de hoy. Todos ellos, todos nosotros, porque me incluyo, estamos aquí para exponer y defender nuestras ideas, nuestro criterio y nuestro opinión. Hemos intentado reunir un panel pluralista pero potente. La única norma, creo que ya lo mencioné, el respeto absoluto por el prójimo y la responsabilidad personal por nuestros actos. Qué quiero decir con esto, que nadie está aquí hablando en nombre de otros ni, por supuesto, vamos a asignarle responsabilidades por actos de otros, así estos actos los hayan realizado sus representantes, aquellos por quienes votó.
