We come now to the famous story of Ananias and Sapphira, the moral of which is sometimes thought to be “what happens to chintzy tithers.” But actually, that is not it at all. Many more layers are involved. It is also worth noting that we come across three men named Ananias in the book of Acts. We have this man in our text (Acts 5:1), we have the man who was used to bring Saul of Tarsus into the covenant (Acts 9:10), and the high priest who was so hostile to Paul (Acts 23:2; 24:1). In a figure, we have Achan, we have Joshua, and we have the king of Jericho.

A most important podcast - a highy important message from Yahuwah to you!!! Above all get this right in your life!
Have you ever felt rejected? Of course. Perhaps you've had a bad experience as a child being rejected by a parent or family member. We can go throughout our lives being let down by many different people. There's one person who will never let you down. As a Christian, you have an eternal Father in heaven who loves you with an unconditional and sacrificial love that no earthly parent or person can provide. The Bible says that you are beloved by the Heavenly Father regardless of your past.
Message from Elder Ronnie Loudermilk on August 18, 2024
As Pastor Ricky continues his teaching series, he'll be exhorting us to wholly commit ourselves over to the lordship of Jesus. When we were told that if we receive Jesus we would be forgiven of our sins, many of us jumped on board without hesitation at that invitation. However, when we were told to rid ourselves of certain things like sexual immorality or having to love unconditionally, we may grow fearful or hesitant. God is faithful, when we take a step of faith to obey Him He'll bless that path.

A new MP3 sermon from Maidenbower Baptist Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: Great fear Subtitle: Acts Speaker: Jeremy Walker Broadcaster: Maidenbower Baptist Church Event: Sunday - PM Date: 4/14/2024 Bible: Acts 5:1-11 Length: 48 min.
As at other times, the holiness of God's people is threatened as they enter a new phase of their life. Here, the example of generosity generates a particular plan of deceit which threatens the integrity and purity of the church, undermining God's power in her and militating against God's grace in her.Ananias and Sapphira lie to and test the Holy Spirit. Here the scene is set, the sin is exposed, the price is paid, and the effect is seen: great fear in the church and in the world.

This week, we look at Jonah 1:4-17 and discover that the sailors feared the fear that Jonah should have feared. Listen in as Jacob unpacks what sits beneath the surface of this seemingly crazy story and how all of us are prone to falling asleep to what God is doing around us.
In this episode, Jason Bollinger preaches a message entitled "Living Near Great Fear" from Acts 5:1-11. Using the infamous story of Ananias & Sapphira, Jason challenges us to consider both the grace and judgement of God. Jason states that without the judgement of God we wouldn't understand the greatness of His grace. Renaissance Church - Richmond, Texas ren-church.org #alloflifealltheearth

Sermon Text: Matthew 28:1-10 How do we get from a crucified Messiah to Easter? How do we get stories of the apostles being murdered and early Christians gathering in holes and caves to tell this story? How do we get martyrs and mystics? How do we get abolitionists and peace activists? How do we get teachers and leaders and pastors and volunteers who talk to you with that look in their eye, that tone in their voice, that communicates love and faith, and hope? Because this happened. And it has been told down through the ages, one person to another, until today. And you're invited to believe it. Time is an incredibly vast topic and an unparalleled mystery. And today, brothers, we're going to dive deep into life's great illusion. But first, you'd do well to remember that everything that exists is a thought. We manifest everything through our minds first, and that is why we cannot separate ourselves from thought. Now, time moves horizontally in our minds through fear. That is our linear understanding of time, which ultimately leads to our end, to death. This is the Great Fear, this is what we spend our entire lives running away from. We create the Great Illusion that time will never run out as a coping mechanism for our fear. But time always ends, brothers. And that is why every religion has its own story about what happens after death because to free ourselves from the fear of death is to liberate ourselves from all fear. When we process time with love, we do it vertically in our hearts. This is how we can be present in every moment and live a life without fear. And brothers, presence is where true power lives. There is no fear when we are living in our experience; there is no fear when the movement comes from within. Brothers, here's something that might sweep you off your feet: nothing is ever really occurring. Everything we experience is a fabrication of our minds leading us away from our fear of death. This is the cosmic joke. There is no progress or growth or evolution. Legacy is an illusion. Death is an illusion. But through celebration, we can be truly awakened and live fluid, playful, unpredictable lives without fear. Until next time brothers, elevate your alpha.
