The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested a teacher of Nyinahin Catholic Senior High School, identified as Eric Buernortey Apaflo, 39, in connection with the assault of a female student captured in a viral video.

Patrick K. O'Donnell explains how at 4:05 a.m. on June 6, 1944, the Rangers received the order to man their boats amidst a massive Allied naval bombardment. The plan involved Force A, which included Dog, Easy, and Foxcompanies, assaulting the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc, while Force B and C were to provide reinforcements and secure secondary objectives. However, the operation immediately faced complications as heavy seas and navigational errors threatened to derail the mission. A critical mechanical failure in the radar of Lieutenant Beaver's lead boat caused the landing craft to drift off course toward the wrong objective, blowing the Rangers' timetable by 30 to 40 minutes. Paradoxically, this delay likely saved Force A from destruction. A scheduled flight of A-20 bombers dropped their ordnance on the point just as the Rangers were supposed to land; had they been on time, they would have been caught in the friendly bombardment. Upon finally reaching the correct beach, the Rangers faced immediate danger; Sergeant Len Lomell, a central figure of Dog Company, stepped off his landing craft into a 10-foot-deep shell hole and had to walk across the bottom to reach the shore. Meanwhile, the 5th Ranger Battalion, intended as reinforcements, never received a critical radio message and proceeded to their secondary objective at Omaha Beach. This mistake proved historic, as their arrival at Omaha helped break the stalemate on a beach where the invasion was otherwise stalled. (2)1944

Federal officials say they're ending a major immigration enforcement surge in Minnesota and beginning to draw down ICE agents after months of intensified activity. But lawyers and advocates say the consequences of that operation are still unfolding.Minnesota U.S. Attorney Dan Rosen on Thursday dropped charges against two men accused of assaulting an immigration officer. A judge Thursday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from cancelling $42 million in public health funding from the Minnesota Department of Health.

A US Congresswoman from New Jersey—who happens to be an African-American female named, because of course, LaMonica McIver—was captured on video committing assault and battery upon Federal immigration officers back in May of this year, as part of a protest against the Delaney Hall ICE facility outside of Newark.  (2)With remarkable swiftness McIver was charged with two counts of violating 18 USC 111. “Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees,” with each count being good for 8 years in a Federal penitentiary. Despite her criminal conduct being obviously captured on video, McIver has raised a plethora of legal arguments to excuse her apparent violence against these Federal officers.And this week she received the bad news, that the Biden-appointed Federal judge considering these inane arguments properly deemed them inane, and dismissed them—meaning that McIver now proceeds to a full-blown federal criminal prosecution with serious federal time waiting for her on the other side.
