Today on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, the team reflects on a heartbreaking loss, legal controversy, and cultural shifts sweeping through Black America. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, beloved for his role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show, tragically drowned at age 54 while vacationing in Costa Rica—his sudden passing has drawn widespread tributes for his artistry, advocacy, and lasting impact on television and music. In sports gossip, rumors swirled that LeBron James waited at an airport for reality star Christina Salgado, a claim she stands by—though fans are divided over its authenticity. On the activism front, Barack Obama emphasized the importance of diverse male mentorship, including gay mentors, in the lives of boys—highlighting a need for broad, empathetic role modeling amid social criticism. Meanwhile, Jacksonville deputies have come under fire after a viral bodycam video showed officers dragging and punching a compliant Black man during a daylight traffic stop, prompting a sheriff’s office investigation and national outrage. How many times have we heard this tale? A woman accuses a man in power of assaulting or abusing her. She is immediately put on trial, accused of "ruining a good man's reputation." His assault is swept under the rug and the survivor is called a man-hating feminist (which is not inaccurate and for good reason). Chanel Miller. Amber Heard. Blake Lively E. Jean Carroll. Christine Blasey Ford. And today, Anne Hauben. She bravely reached out to Toxic to let us know she was ready to talk about what happened to her at 18. She's now in her 50s. Before everyone says, "BuT WhY nOw?!" be aware that less than 23% of rapes and sexual assaults are reported to authorities, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics. The reasons? See above list. Those women went through hell after they came forward. What 18-year-old is eager to sign up for that? What 18-year-old is even 100 percent sure of what constitues rape? Guess what, nonconsent = rape. And that's what Anne says happened during a high school trip to Bermuda. The man in question? A city councilman named Ward Hamilton of Melrose, Massachusetts, a small suburb of Boston. Anne thought the voters might want to know what kind of man they were voting for. Turns out, that was an inconvenience for them more than anything. Anne was called crazy. A liar. Told to take her supposed trauma elsewhere. So she came to Toxic. Because we'll believe her. Because we know women don't lie about this kind of thing for funsies. And we also believe in holding men accountable. Welcome to Anne's story. Which is also E. Jean's story. Which is also Christine's story. This episode is a little long, but worth it. Also, COMING SOON, you'll be able to hear some of the more recent Toxic episodes, including this one, on YouTube. So, stay tuned. Your review of Toxic would help immensely. 3.8 what?! Congressman Don Bacon introduced legislation Thursday that would increase criminal penalties for anyone convicted of killing or conspiring to kill public safety officers. The so-called ‘Back the Blue Act' would also create mandatory minimums for assaulting a federally funded law enforcement officer, which could include a firefighter, chaplain, federal judge or rescue squad member. The unnamed plaintiff alleges Justin Combs lured her from Louisiana to Los Angeles in April 2017 by promising a job opportunity in the entertainment industry. She claims Justin contacted her via Snapchat, requested risqué photos, and arranged for her to fly to Beverly Hills under the pretense of career advancement. Once there, she says she was given alcohol, marijuana, and prescription pills—including poppers—believing them to be laced with additional substances. After she became intoxicated, three masked men entered the residence, one of whom she identified as Sean “Diddy” Combs based on his stature and mannerisms. The lawsuit alleges she was raped multiple times—both anally and orally—by these men over the course of nearly 18 hours, from Saturday night into Sunday afternoon, before being flown home.According to the complaint, the assault was orchestrated to exploit her while she was incapacitated and to ensure compliance through fear. She alleges Justin referred to his father as “Pops” during the assault, implicating Sean Combs directly. The woman says she felt trapped and threatened—“You better let this happen. In a recent lawsuit filed in February 2025, an unnamed woman accused Sean "Diddy" Combs of sexually assaulting her at a Los Angeles nightclub in November 2016. According to the complaint, Combs allegedly approached the woman, offered her a drink which she initially declined, and upon his insistence, she consumed it. The woman claims that after consuming the beverage, she felt disoriented, and Combs proceeded to sexually assault her by penetrating her with his fingers while making degrading comments. The following morning, she reportedly discovered physical signs of assault. Combs' legal representatives have denied these allegations, asserting that he has never engaged in sexual assault or sex trafficking. This lawsuit adds to a series of legal challenges Combs has faced in recent months, including over two dozen civil lawsuits and federal criminal charges related to sexual misconduct and abuse spanning several decades. Notably, in November 2023, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of rape and physical abuse, leading to a swift settlement. Subsequent lawsuits have emerged, with plaintiffs alleging various forms of sexual misconduct, including drugging and assault. Combs has consistently denied all allegations, attributing them to attempts at monetary extortion. He remains in custody, awaiting a trial scheduled for May 2025 on charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Woman claims Diddy sexually assaulted and humiliated her in LA club in November 2016 in new lawsuit | Daily Mail Online
