Manifesting is a word that gets thrown around a lot these days. And for some people it can all seem pretty woo. People are right to be skeptical. Most times, it's talked about in vague terms, or made out to be some supernatural occurrence. That's why we broke it down into no-nonsense terms in this episode of Illumination Podcast.
Nothing destroys productivity and self esteem quite like procrastination. I don't care who you are, when you break agreements with yourself, it puts a chink in your confidence. Enough of those chinks and things start to get really shaky really fast. It doesn't feel good. So why do we do this? And more importantly, what can we do about it?! That's what you'll learn in this episode of Illumination Podcast™, "What to do about Procrastination." Kisma and Nick help you to understand why this happens and give you some of their best strategies for breaking this frustrating habit.
Has life become a series of patterns that you can't escape? Today on the Mary Dee show, Kisma Orbovich maps out how you can break free from the prison of your past to become the architect of your future! Kisma is known as “The Prosperity Code Mentor”, she has dedicated her life to guiding entrepreneurs through their spiritual awakening, so they can access true prosperity. Kisma goes beyond mindset and strategy training and shows you how to tap into your divine energy to live a life in alignment with your true self. In this episode, Kisma shifts your understanding of meditation from a practice to an arrival at your connection to source. Your true self is revealed in silence once you allow yourself to shed beliefs, thoughts, and energy that is not in alignment with your divine spirit. Flowing with the Laws of the Universe allows you to channel that energy in a way that opens you up to a new path of gratitude. Resentment and anger enslave you to the past and prevent you from embracing the moment for what it is. The energy of your thoughts and actions permeates every aspect of your life and you have the innate ability to shift your energy to that of love and light. Kisma guides you as you confront your ego and take ownership of your power. By taking responsibility for your thoughts and ownership of your actions, you can access a life of prosperity. THE ILLUMINATION - Other Revelations: When your eyes are finally clear and your mind can truly be quiet for any length of time, you will begin to have moments of illumination, moments where you can see beyond what the ordinary senses report and hear things far more beautiful than anything you can hear on Earth. These are the signs of illumination. They perhaps will only be momentary at first, but they will stand in great contrast to all of your other experiences. Even your happiest moments or most contented experiences cannot in any way compare with these. The post The Illumination Podcast appeared first on The New Message from God.

+++++++++++++++ People are weird. Sometimes I just look a them and think, “Wow. I just…Wow…” And I'll bet they think the same thing about me. And you for that matter, dear listener. Because we all live in our own little world, but we also have to deal with all the people we encounter- who are living in their own little worlds too. And sure, you can judge and criticize and ridicule all you want, but what if there were a better way? In this episode of Illumination Podcast, Kisma and I want to share how you can make a simple and instant shift that would turn the whole circus on its head and make dealing with other people a thousand times easier.
Just as startup companies are fighting for our attention and dollars by constantly innovating and adapting, so too must higher education. Competition and creative “borrowing” of ideas drives innovation and produces better outcomes for students. Do you feel good about your desires? You should! And when your intuition speaks to you, take immediate action. It's the way to say to God or the universe: "I heard you, and I'm ready to receive!" Tune in to this new episode of the Conscious Marketer podcast — How to Use Your Intuition as a Wealth Generator with Kisma Donna Orbovich. Key points covered in this episode: [00:00:59] Music and intuition. Discover Kisma's journey from a successful career playing the flute in an orchestra, to paying attention to an inner voice telling her to move back to the States and open a yoga studio. "This guiding voice -- I really do believe we all have access to it. I know we do. Sometimes we just shy away from it." [00:08:42] There's an array of universal natural scientific laws that we work with. When we can access these unseen forces or hook up to a greater channel of a universal mind, we get answers when we are ready to receive. [00:10:39] How to decrease the noise and connect with your intuition. Decongest your heads from the unnecessary buzz. Kisma shares, "I'm always a believer of morning time. I heard Neil Patel say this once and ask why you would hand your agenda over to the rest of the world?" The quality of your mornings dictates the tone of your day and how you attract prosperity. [00:15:08] Use your imaginations, which like intuition, is a higher faculty. Activate unlimited thought in your creative mind, just like the universe is constantly expanding -- so is the principle of life force expansion. We can grow into things that we never thought possible. [00:20:03] There are three core wounds that people operate from: Fear of not being loved Fear of not being safe Fear of not being significant When we can identify where people are and why they get paralyzed, where it comes from, we must release that. [00:29:10] Building a business is like a fast track to self-realization. Many successful entrepreneurs are the most spiritual people. They use their intuition and trust unseen forces to navigate life and business with faith. [00:33:14] Wealth has a lot of different meanings, but it would be an abundance of having the ability to serve other people. Achieving a life of abundance and overflow equips us with an incredible ability to help others and operate in authentic purpose and calling. My dad had this very "Dad" saying I grew up hearing. He'd say, "Never assume. It makes and ass out of u and me." Us kids always giggled at that one, but turns out, Dad was spot on. When you take a deeper look at the assumptions we make and why we make them, it's staggering. Especially when you consider that those assumptions are one of the primary causes of "ALL the sadness and drama you've experienced in your life." I mean...just...wow. Fortunately, for us, Don Miguel Ruiz takes a deep look at assumptions in his 3rd agreement, and in this episode of Illumination Podcast we open the conversation up about how this applied in our daily lives. And honestly, it's a little mind blowing, and we can't wait to share it with you. P.S. If you don't have a copy (I've gone through probably a dozen over the years) here's a link.

In this episode of Illumination Podcast, Kisma and Nick take a deep look at this mysterious number and how Self Love impacts the abundance you have in life. What's your number? This week on the podcast we get into the “woo" in a conversation with my personal spiritual mentor Kisma Orbovich. We talk about trusting the power source within us to create the life we dream about. We all have the power to change our experience and create the life we want but we haven't been taught how to tap into it. We talk about the spiritual power of decisions and taking action which have both been game-changers in my own life. Midlife can often be a very spiritual journey for some of us, but even if you're not into the “woo", I think you will find this a really interesting episode with lots of practical advice for your life. This episode is about How to Win at the Game of Life. 1:08 This Game that We Call Life It's been a little bit since we podcasted. Nick And now we're back with How to Win at the Game of Life. KISMA Personally speaking, I think it's really healthy to think about life as a game because otherwise you just take it too seriously. Nick 2:31 Play the Game Differently It's not that there aren't serious things in life. What we do with our time here on earth is important, but at the same time if we make it too important, it gets really heavy, really fast. And when you treat life like a game, you have a little bit more flexibility and you can have more fun with it. Like if you make a mistake or do something wrong, it's like, “All right, well, I guess I'll just do something different”. You can just play the game differently. You can change the rules of the game, which is fun. We can't change the universal laws, but we can change how we act within those things. Nick 7:02 Not Losing VS. Winning So there's a difference between not losing and winning and when you put this in the game of life, I think a lot of people get into the mode of just not losing or flying under the radar so that nobody really notices and they don't stand out too much or something like that. And energetically, it's really constricting. It's like a diminishing energy that just gets smaller and smaller and smaller as you go along. It doesn't keep you in an innovative space. It doesn't let you be in a creative space and it doesn't let you access the resources that you're going to need to really propel yourself. Nick If you're just trying not to lose, I don't know that it's heavy, but it's not exciting. KISMA 10:05 What is Winning? On the flip side of that though, what is winning? You know, it's not winning by somebody else's definition. This is really important on how to win at the game of life because this is your life. KISMA Think about the goals and objectives that you've designed for yourself. Not everybody else's that you've decided that seem right for you, but the things that are really true in your own heart. Nick What do you suggest are some of the qualities that people can think about and utilize to bring about a winning attitude to life? KISMA That's not something I can really answer for everybody. You have to sit down with yourself, probably with a journal, and think about what's really important to you and what winning looks like to you. Nick 12:59 The Relationship with Yourself What are some ways of being that can really help to open up a person to see that they do deserve to win and win on their terms? KISMA The first thing that pops to mind for me is your happiness inside of yourself. In my mind, your relationship with yourself is probably one of, if not the most important thing that you can develop in your life. It's number one because that's where you find happiness, and that's where you create happiness. So I think winning is really having a beautiful relationship with yourself. Nick 18:04 Seeing The Potential I want to add one more piece to this idea of winning the game of life. I think also seeing people in their highest and best is another way to win at the game of life. KISMA I'm really glad you brought that up. It wasn't on our original list, but man, it's gotta be on there. Nick There's a couple reasons for this. How you're seeing someone else is how you feel about yourself. If you look at somebody and you immediately go into judgment or criticism somewhere, that's in you about yourself, otherwise it wouldn't be at top of mind. So it's a great thing to look at. And the flip side is the more that you can see the potential in other people and opportunities, the more you see the potential in yourself. KISMA 24:04 Win at The Game of Life So there you have a few things that you can use to win at the game of life. You can also check out Nick’s which takes you through five foundations of self-love. Thank you for listening to Illumination Podcast with Nick and KISMA. KISMA
This week's episode has a special guest: Gay Hendricks. Gay Hendricks has been a leader in the fields of relationship transformation and bodymind transformation for more than 45 years. After earning his Ph.D. from Stanford in 1974, Gay served as Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Colorado for 21 years. He has written more than 40 books, including bestsellers such as Five Wishes, The Big Leap, Conscious Loving and Conscious Loving Ever After, (the last two co-authored with his co-author and mate for more than 35 years, Dr. Kathlyn Hendricks). He is also a mystery novelist, with a series of five books featuring the Tibetan-Buddhist private detective, Tenzing Norbu, as well as a new mystery series featuring a Victorian-era London detective, Sir Errol Hyde. His latest book, Conscious Luck, reveals eight ways to change your fortunes through the power of intention. Gay has appeared on more than 500 radio and television shows, including Oprah, CNN, CNBC, 48 HOURS and others. Hosts: Nick and Kisma Special Guest: Gay Hendricks 1:44 Welcome Dr. Gay Hendricks to Illumination Podcast I'm so excited to have Gay Hendricks as a guest today. We've studied and talked about his work. We covered his work in a four-part series at the beginning of last year, and we are just so incredibly excited to have him join us in this episode. Nick Welcome Dr. Gay Hendricks to Illumination Podcast. We're so happy you're here. KISMA Thank you very much. It's a pleasure and an honor to meet both of you. Dr. Gay Hendricks 2:16 Initial Awakening We've been watching some of your interviews and there was one where you had shared something about your initial awakening, and I was wondering if you would share that event with our listeners because it was so compelling and gave me so much hope. KISMA Absolutely. I wouldn't be here without that event having happened. When I was 24, I had managed to create a pretty painful life, because I not only weighed 320 pounds, but I wore big thick glasses. I was in a relationship that was really toxic and I couldn't figure out how to get out of it. I was also in a job that wasn't going real well, and I didn't feel like I was using any of my potential. So one day everything came to a head. I went out for a walk to try to get my head cleared after I'd had an argument with Linda, the woman I referred to. And by golly, I got it cleared big time. What happened was I stepped on a place where the snow had covered the ice and my feet shot out from under me. And I went down on my back and I didn't knock myself out, but I call it an out of Hendrix experience because I had this experience that knocked me out of my senses for about two or three minutes. It knocked me out of my usual way of looking at the world. I laid there and I had this amazing thing happen for about two minutes where I got a look at who I really was. It was like I could see all the way down through the different levels of myself. Dr. Gay Hendricks 5:36 Pure Consciousness In that moment I suddenly became aware of this whole different set of levels of myself. But then the really magical thing that happened was that I realized that down underneath everything was this part of myself that I call pure consciousness. I'd never touched into it before, but it's the part that we all have of ourselves. And it gave me a new place to come home to. So I had this one moment before I got back up where I said “I'm going to do whatever it takes to feel that pure consciousness all the time”, because it was the first time I felt like I'd really come home in myself. Dr. Gay Hendricks That's an amazing story. Do you think everyone has this opportunity for that? The sense of feeling and seeing and being aware of that pure consciousness within us? KISMA I actually do. The way I put it to my students now is the Universe is totally willing to tickle us with a feather to teach us, but if we're not paying attention, it'll then hit us over the head with a sledgehammer. Dr. Gay Hendricks 15:19 Essence I wanted to circle back about this idea that I’ve heard you talk about a little bit. It's the essence, like the purest pure consciousness, and I'm curious to hear your perspective on that. Nick What I call essence is that pure part of ourselves that expresses who we really are. If you took that away, you wouldn't be you. I think that it's a gift that everybody has that kind of pure consciousness. The value of it that I've come to really appreciate is that it does give me a place to come home to that's underneath all the phenomena of my life. It's underneath the thoughts, it's underneath all my feelings. All of those things are very important, but for example, you have sad feelings or angry feelings or scared feelings, but underneath that is that vast ocean of pure consciousness. And I think that in life, our kind of our spiritual job is to find that aspect of ourselves and open up to it and let ourselves be grounded and centered in it. Dr. Gay Hendricks I love the word essence for it. The essence of that very unique, purest expression of yourself. And I love the way that you talk about it's like that place to come home to because it's not a feeling. It's a state of being that we drop into and it just changes everything. Nick 36:21 The Big Leap and The Genius Zone So in your book , you mention the genius zone and I understand that you have a new book coming out where you're going to expand on this. Can you tell us a little bit more about this book? Nick Basically it takes what's in and gives you a way of diving right down into your genius zone. So it's kind of like instead of flying the plane to your genius zone, it gives you a very nice parachute, a way to just go straight down and capture it. There are some processes in the book that give you a real quick way of getting into that space and how to stay there once you're there. Dr. Gay Hendricks Would you consider The Big Leap a prerequisite for it, or can people just dive right into The Genius Zone? Nick It would be great if they read The Big Leap first because it's kind of a sequel. Dr. Gay Hendricks 47:55 Five Wishes Well we don't have guests a lot and when we do they're so special such as yourself. A question that I always like to ask is is there anything that's in your heart that you want to do before you leave the planet that you've not told anybody? KIMSA I can't really think of anything. I figured out early on what I wanted. In my book , I talk about the five things that I wanted to create in my life and I've created them more beyond my wildest dreams. So I have to say if the Universe needs me in the collective anytime soon I'm ready and willing to go. I'm having a great time while I'm here, but I've accomplished all my major goals and I'm just enjoying living more and more of them every day. Dr. Gay Hendricks I love that. That's the best. Nick Well thank you so much for being here Dr. Gay Hendricks. KISMA
In this episode we are talking about How to Give Feedback to Close Friends and Partners Without Seeming Critical. 3:45 Giving and Receiving Feedback I think it is a real skill to be able to give feedback in a really clear way. Nick And of course, on the other end, you really have to have the skin to take it and use what's valuable and if you disagree with it, you let it go. KISMA 4:52 It’s a Human Thing So I could make this episode really short and just say don't give feedback. Like, why do you think it's up to you to give feedback? Let’s start here because it is kind of this weird phenomenon that we humans go around life feeling that we need to tell people our thoughts without being asked. So everyone just take a breath there. It's a human thing where we go around feeling like we have to tell people our thoughts and opinions about them without being asked. KISMA I didn't expect that to be your first one, but I think you're right. Nick 7:50 Opt Out or Opt In Well I think the starting point is to not make somebody wrong and check yourself. Who are you to give the feedback? We have to go there because otherwise it starts to get really messy. It gets messy karmically, it gets messy ego wise. And there's a lack of respect to the other person. And then if you think there's something that they are doing, saying, or being, and you really feel like you can help, you've got to ask permission to share. You simply have to respect the human enough to ask permission. KISMA I think giving people an opt out or an opt in is really helpful. It goes back to the art of allowing which is so important. Nick 10:18 Start With One Thing Once they’ve given you permission to share, you probably have a list of 10 things that you could tell them, but start with just one thing. KISMA That is brilliant advice. It's so easy to over teach overshare, give them a whole litany of things or a whole five step plan, but think about how you would receive that. It’s kind of overwhelming. Nick And all of a sudden it all goes out the window. KISMA 13:00 Cut Cords and Let Go After sharing, cut cords and let go. That's the biggest piece. KISMA 17:30 Do They Even Want Your Feedback? I want to share one more thing before we close out this episode on giving feedback. There are moments when I am listening to certain friends or family members I will stop and say, “Hey, before you get going, do you want me to just listen? Am I just a sounding board because you need to vent? Or do you want my opinion?” Finally, if they said they just want to vent and they vent and I sense something is really off, I can then say, “Hey, I'm sensing something. I'm hearing something. If you're interested, I could share. And it doesn't have to be today, but I have a couple of ideas. So just let me know when you want me to text those over to you or have another quick call.” KISMA That's so cool. A lot of folks are living life in problem solving mode. So it's really easy to drop in with that when sometimes people just need to be heard. If they just want to vent, it takes off so much pressure because you don't have to solve anything. And if they want to hear your feedback then you get to drop in in a different way and really listen with different ears. Nick So there you are everyone. Thank you for listening to Illumination Podcast with Nick and KISMA.

In addition to online type businesses, Laura’s list of clients and credits include NBC, Bravo, HBO, TBS, Fandango, and many, many more. So if you watch TV -- and don’t skip the commercials -- you've probably seen her words on air. Hosts: Nick and Kisma Special Guest: Laura Belgray 3:59 Welcome Laura Belgray I'm just going to bring her on. Laura Belgray, welcome to Illumination Podcast with Nick and Kisma. I am so excited you're here. KISMA I am thrilled to be here. Thank you for having me. Laura 4:43 Getting to Know Laura For those of you that know Laura, you know she is just an amazing wordsmith writer, communicator. We're gonna get to all of that in a bit, but let's start with, Laura lives in New York City. Just tell us, are you originally from New York? Is that home base? KISMA I am. It is home base. It is in my bloodstream, my cellular being. I am a New Yorker from birth. Born here at Beth Israel hospital. We lived on Charlton street for the first six months of my life and then Upper West Side where I grew up. I was on the show Open to Sesame Street where they show kids running around in the park in New York City. I have never left except for four years of college, but that was close enough to drive home and do my laundry. Laura 7:16 Laura is the Coolest Just for our listeners to know, when I started working with Laura. I was like, what is this talking shrimp thing? What is talking shrimp? And I just became so entranced with the way you wrote in your copy, you helped me. It was probably a couple of years ago. This was so major for me. We got on zoom, I hired you for a power hour. I think we did a couple of them, Nick and I would watch her on Google docs. I put this copy in there and she would just get in there and there'd be this magic editor changing the words, doing this thing. I would hear the New York sirens in the background. I felt like I was watching Mozart compose. It was that incredible, the swoosh of magic copy. And then, I think I saw you in person for the first time in New York City. In person, here's what happened for me, I watch a lot of big influencers and from being in the music business, I'm not easily taken in awestruck. There's a lot of people that posture a lot of things and there's a lot of amazing people. Laura walks in the room and you just know for an instant she's the coolest person in the room. KISMA Thank you. It's so sweet, and funny because in no way do I consider myself the coolest person in the room. Laura 13:52 What goes on in your mind? So, what goes on in your mind when you're setting the stage, whether it's a live event or your online courses, where you want people to be entertained because you are such an entertainer? KISMA Hmm. I don't know. I just trust that it's going to be entertaining. And I think that I try to make it organized and coherent and easy to absorb. But like the more, winging it, the more off the cuff I can bring into it, the more fun it's going to be. So that's really what I love doing the most is. I love things that are off the cuff. Laura 19:42 Creative Process - How does this Work? I've been thinking a lot about creativity and creative processes recently. For me, something happened and I've been in an incredibly creative phase, so it's caused me to think about it a lot, like how does this work? How it plays a role in my life and really for me, just on a personal level, how good it feels to just be able to be in that creative flow. But one of the things that I've noticed is that the more that you rely on it, somebody like yourself, that creative process is absolutely integral to your life and your income. And I know that sometimes that can put extra pressure on it as well. So I'm curious if you'd be willing to talk just a little bit about whatever you call a creative process or maybe beyond that, what are the things that you do that support that in you and keep you in the flow and doing such great work all the time? Nick First of all, I love that state of being in flow or feeling creative. Just being in the zone is everything. It is what I live for and sometimes it comes and sometimes it goes. But I would say, even when I'm struggling with coming up with something to say, to write in an email, because that's the thing that there is pressure to do every couple of days. I gotta send something to my list. I've made this commitment. If I have nothing, and usually I have a bank of old ideas that I can go to in Evernote, but if I have nothing I'll sit down and open up. If I have nothing, the chances are I haven't written anything that day. I haven't done my writing in 750words.com. That's sort of the app or the website that I use for journaling. So I'll open it up. It's 750words.com and just free write until it's 750 words and then I can close it up. And it's a great exercise. Not only does it get you into a writing groove and generate ideas as you're writing, but also, I think it changes your brain. I think it gets neurons firing or something like that. Just the act of writing. So it changes your brain chemistry and gets you into a more creative state. But usually I come up with some kind of idea, “Oh yeah, I can write about that today”. That's number one. If nothing's coming to me or I'm tired, I'm just like in a funk, usually I'll take a walk or take a shower. Laura 51:41 Where you can find Laura Tell us a bit about where people can find you. KISMA You can always find me at . Laura 54:40 On Laura’s Bucket List Before we wrap up, I have a question that I often ask guests because we don't have guests a lot and it's been so much fun to have you here, Laura. Is there anything that is on your bucket list like secretly you really want to do in this lifetime that you haven't told anybody that you would just like to share? KISMA Something that's scary for me to put out there, because I like to pretend I'm practicing non-attachment to outcomes, is that I want my book to be a bestseller. I want it to be on the list. I want it to be one of those books that's right in your face when you're at the airport. And it's like, Oh, that's one of their number one picks. “I'm going to take that with me on the plane.” I want it to be in everybody's hands. I want it to make people miss their subway stop when they're on the subway and make them laugh out loud on the plane to make people think they're crazy. And then I want to go on stage and talk about that and I want to be on panels. As my job from now on. I want people to just have me on Q and A panels where I don't have to prepare anything. Laura Well, so be it. We'll be waving our magic wands over here and anything we can do to support you, of course. Thank you again so much for being here. It's such a treat to have someone like you on Illumination podcast and everyone, follow talking shrimp, go to her website, go to Instagram. It is such a joy to be watching and reading Laura Belgray. In this episode we talk about the up coming presidential election and reveal a shoking news. This marks the last episode of the traditional "Illumination Podcast".
We’re very excited about our reunion this week! Kisma’s back from India and we’re looking forward to bringing you some of the amazing highlights from her trip. In true Illumination Podcast fashion, we’re kicking off a series about some of the teachings at the Vedanta Academy. In part 1 of the series, we’re discussing a day in the ashram life - an ashram is a spiritual community. It’s a place where people go to live, stay and study. There’s a bit of a difference with the structure at the Vedanta Academy - evident right in the name. It was consciously created as an academy by founder, Swami Parthasarathy, to have an essence of philosophy. Vedanta isn’t a religion; while topics of religion and spirituality are discussed at the academy, the overall focus is on the ancient philosophy and the knowledge.
