Jamie and Thomas are joined by Don Taylor and Rick Dhaliwal for the weekly crossover. They talk about Rick Tocchet hinting at the end of the lotto line tonight, and whether it has an impact on what Allvin and Rutherford will pursue in trade. They discuss whether a puck-moving defenseman would be the correct target in trade considering their top pairing. The guys also talk about the Canucks' UFAs that they are most keen on extending. Sportsnet prospect analyst Jason Bukala joins the show as the guys try to uncover if trading the Canucks' top prospects is worth the potential haul they could net in return. Also, hear from Head Coach Rick Tochett ahead of tonight's clash against the Blues. In this edition of The Whiteboard Jamie and Thomas talk about Rick Tocchet hinting at the breaking up of the Lotto Line. They also get into how quickly the Pacific Division has changed with Edmonton surging and the Kings struggling. They note how the Canucks need to really lock it down defensively against the Blues tonight and make sure that they don't let themselves have a bad week otherwise they could lose their grip on the Pacific Division. As always Jamie and Thomas run through the broadsheet, lineup notes, and betting odds. Jeff talks about Kuzmenko and his line stepping up, a quiet night for the Lotto Line, Nils Höglander deserving PP time, the Carson Soucy injury, the need for another top-6 piece, the week ahead against St. Louis and Columbus, and a proposed deal for Monahan. The Canucks made their way through the snow storm in Buffalo as they faced their expansion cousins, the Sabres. JT Miller was physical all game and had to answer the bell for a big hit on Rasmus Dahlin, but that was all for the Lotto Line, as Sam Lafferty scored the lone goal of the night, by either team, as Thatcher Demko backstopped the team to a 1-0 win, with his 4th shutout of the season. Jeff Paterson and Irfaan Gafar host. Canucks 1 (23 SOG) Sabrew 0 (25 SOG)
Matt and Blake digest another Canucks win, and continued excellence from the Lotto Line. We hear from Thatcher Demko, Elias Pettersson and Rick Tocchet from Pittsburgh, and discuss whether the Canucks should go "all-in" on this season. The guys talk about Jim Rutherford saying the Canucks want another top-6 forward, whether that should be a centre or a winger and the candidates at each position. We put the club's historic PDO into context with some of the best teams in modern NHL history, as well as Tocchet heading to the All-Star Game. Frank Seravalli stops by and says the Canucks should target a defenceman not a forward, that they shouldn't go all-in, and offers some names on the trade market including their expected cost. Frank says Sean Monahan, and an under-the-radar Flyers defenceman would be wise targets given their expected cost. Rink Wide: Vancouver host Jeff Paterson joins to talk about the Lotto Line, scoring first and holding two-period leads - the Canucks winning formula. Jeff wants to see this defence corps get a run before adding to it, and thinks "all-in" is too bold and that the Canucks shouldn't be seduced by names like Elias Lindholm and Jake Guentzel, rather should target cheaper rentals. The guys also talk about J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser, and the value they're bringing (despite rich contracts). Plus, we go To The People and hear from listeners/followers on topics such as Guentzel, Jim Benning's acquisitions and line nicknames. Presented by Applewood Auto Group. THPN and Draft Kings present The PP1 Podcast. First off, we settle the debate: We are the number one Canucks podcast in the land. No stats needed, we take the cake. The Canucks are taking the league by storm and whether it's via the Lotto Line, the good boys line, or their insanely good goaltending, the Canucks just might be the best version of this team we've ever seen. We debate what championship team windows look like, where the Canucks fit into that model and what they might need towards the deadline to make a big run. James informs everyone about the growing gap in the middle of Canada's hockey development process and why the conversation needs to be had to catch up to the US development program. We're ready to hit the ground running for the second half of the season. Join us for all the fun. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Elias Pettersson had 2 goals and 2 assists (including the overtime winner) and the Lotto Line combined for 9 points as the Canucks defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 in overtime; it's their fourth consecutive win. As well, I talk about Jacob making Team Canada for bowling, the demise of Game Over, and a carbon monoxide scare at my house.

The Canucks continued their season long road trip in Pittsburg tonight and the Lotto Line delivered, yet again. It was a good team effort, the penalty kill was perfect and Thatcher Demko was his usual Vezina-calibre self. Pettersson is up to 12 pts in his last 4 games...and it was enough to propel the team to a 4-3 victory. Jeff Paterson and Irfaan Gafar host. Canucks 4 (29 SOG) Penguins 3 (35 SOG)
I Hate This Team New York correspondent SexJ aka Scoob joins us to talk about the Lotto Line running amok in the tri-state area and what the Canucks might do this trade deadline. check out Scoob's twitch stream over at https://www.twitch.tv/crucifiedscoob lots of great daily sports content (!) and check out patreon.com/IHateThisTeam if you want to listen or watch the full ep!

The Canucks took Manhattan last night and found themselves on Long Island today to face the Islanders to complete the NY back to back. It was another rematch against our former captain Bo Horvat and yet another night where nobody could stop Petey and the Lotto Line! EP40 and Co. put up another 5 goals and Casey DeSmith put up another solid performance to take the Isles 5-2 to complete the back to back sweep. Jeff Paterson and Farhan Lalji host. Canucks 5 (34 SOG) Islanders 2 (20 SOG)
Shayna Goldman joins Jamie and Thomas to talk about the Canucks being perceived as true Stanley Cup contenders around the NHL. They dive into the debate around which defenseman is better, Quinn Hughes or Adam Fox. Stefen Rosner joins the show to preview tonight's matchup against the New York Islanders. He admits that defense has been a major issue for the Isles this year, while Sorokin also hasn't had that "bailout-ability" this season. Jannik Hansen rejoined Jamie and Thomas to talk about the efficiency of the Lotto Line and how the Canucks are spreading the offense throughout their lineup. The Canucks entered Madison Square Garden tonight for a heavyweight bout against the Rangers. In short, the Lotto Line did it again, putting up 8 more points and providing all the offense and energy that you'd expect from that power trio. Demko faced a barrage of 42 shots and was up to the task, allowing only 3 goals throughout the onslaught. Jeff Paterson and Irfaan Gafar host. Canucks 6 (26 SOG) Rangers 3 (42 SOG)
In today's edition of the Canucks Talk Whiteboard, Jamie and Thomas review last night's dominant Canucks win over the New York Rangers. They talk about how good the Lotto Line has looked since reuniting. They also point out how magical Pettersson and Hughes look while playing together 5 on 5. The guys also talk about how there is no movement on Pettersson's future and how it really looks like nothing will change until the offseason. So get this...Pius Suter is actually a really good hockey player who happens to play center; so why not make him our second line option so we can keep the Lotto Line together. When the Canucks play Boeser, MIller and Pettersson together, unreal things happen. Dominace and Chemistry come easy for a trio that has done it in the past and just did it again in New Jersey. The Lotto Line combined for 8 points in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Devils, and they looked extremely impressive in the victory. Is it best to keep them together for a while? Or does it have to much of an effect on the rest of the line up?
