Locked On Predators - Daily Podcast On The Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators missed out on a big trade piece as Bo Horvat heads to the New York Islanders from Vancouver. Did the Predators miss an opportunity to sign Horvat? We talk about the cost to benefit ratio for Nashville and whether the Preds should have gotten in on the action. Then we look around the Central Division and evaluate the teams at the All Star Break. On today's Locked On Predators, Nick and Ann discuss what a Nashville Predators deal may have looked like for Bo Horvat and debate whether the Predators - who were rumored to have some interest - should have pursued Horvat. We talk about what any trade move right now for Nashville could mean for the team longer term and whether we expect to see action from David Poile before the trade deadline. The Central Division standings at the All Star break have surprised us, and today we share our "one word" to describe each of the teams from Nashville's division rivals. Are the Minnesota Wild for real? Can Colorado overcome an injury riddled season to be a playoff threat? And which team has Nick and Ann the most upset with the way they've played? We break down the division and give our end of season predictions on today's Locked On Predators. Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

What a dramatic weekend in the NHL. We watched Bruce Boudreau's time in Vancouver come to an end in a very public way. Frank gave some insight into just how this situation got as toxic as they did. Did management want to make a change earlier? They also talked about the spot that Rick Tocchet is now in as the Canucks new Head Coach. They then went across Canada to talk about the news that Cole Caufield is going to miss the remainder of the season. The Canadiens have been moving up the standings recently, which goes against what a large part of their fan base wants them to do and that's tank for Connor Bedard. From there, Jason and Frank naturally transitioned into the Florida Panthers, who traded their 2023 first round pick to the Canadiens at last season's deadline. Right now, they're on the outside looking in when it comes to the playoff picture. Jason thinks they'll get in while Frank has them as sellers.Darryl Sutter also made some comments about rookie forward Jakob Pelletier, who made his debut on Saturday, that drew criticism. Is too much being made of this or was Sutter out of line? The guys gave their thoughts on it and then got into the current state of the Flames. BET MGM Tonight's Ryan Horvat on Memphis Tigers, Grizz, and NFL Division Weekend
As the NHL and fantasy hockey trade deadline rapidly approaches, we need to take a look into one of the most obvious and almost likely trade scenarios that will unfold in Vancouver Canucks captain and goal leader Bo Horvat. A name that has been regularly mentioned in most NHL and fantasy hockey trade rumours. But where will he land? Flip and Steele discuss the top options that would not only make sense for Horvat and the Canucks, but also would see his value as a top fantasy hockey option increase. Teams that would make sense for Horvat trade include the likes of the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins and of course Colorado Avalanche. We also breakdown a discussion of who would you rather own if you were an elite fantasy hockey GM looking to make a long-term add in either a keeper or dynasty league or a just a year-to-year format - Colorado Avalanche Mikko Rantanen or Boston Bruins All-Star scorer David Pastrnak. Both of whom are elite fantasy hockey options that would be great adds to any fantasy hockey team. Thanks for making Locked On Fantasy Hockey your 1st listen, every day.
