Larry and Chris try Coke Move and read some Mysteries of the Unexplained. Enjoy!
Bain de Soleil darling. Hawaiian Tropic. Panama Jack with Dark Rum gimme some. It's a beach party on the sand at TRAX. Or we're on the back patio w/cactus juice at The Pyramid #RVA dreaming of TRAX. Dreaming big fat nasty beats you can bite into. Bubblelicious, a burst of flavor with every beat. Booty-shakin, earthquakin' church rafters raisin' organ pounding, dancing in the aisles and on the ISLE. Revelation. Sexy stuff.
On this episode I get deep in the muck with Murph. It's a Murph worth of muck and we don't give a fuck.Let me level with you: This one is just a simple breakaway from the routine in that it is just like the last one. But that's okay. At least I think it is. I'm not sure what I'm even talking about. Sometimes when the rain comes down and the smell of failure fills the air, you need a break. You need to break free of the madness that is dragging you down!! I was gonna get this printed on a cake but they said it'd be $3 a letter and that I'd need a bigger cake. Support the show
The No Nonsense Show - A Funny Experiment In Black Experience
The No Nonsense Show Episode #712 Mack went shopping for a cruise and still doesn't understand how to shop. Yes, sunglasses matter. They sit on your face and most likely will be the first thing someone sees when they meet you. No, Panama Jack will not do. We get into some sports talk this week. NFL, Lebron, Jordan. We normally don't spend so much time on sports. Blame it on the Super Bowl. Jamia Mack wants to talk about something he saw on a movie (can you believe that?). Would you be a dying person's last relationship? Seems a little macabre, but some people want to experience everything...like bumping uglies with ta 90 year old. French Reggy wants to discuss masculinity. Yes he has a pink shirt and a pink sweater. And NO he doesn't feel funny wearing it in public even when his girl is not with him and he is with his bisexual friend (I know that is a run-on sentence). Seems like French has mixed up masculinity and sexuality. though. So this conversation hits the rails quick. Brette began her sports and entertainment career working for the Florida Panthers Hockey Club/Sunrise Sports & Entertainment on a few teams including; ticketing, promotions and marketing partnerships. She then joined Octagon in the Atlanta office, where she led Home Depot's partnerships with ESPN College GameDay, select teams, leagues and properties; such as USOC, Falcons, Braves, Hawks, AEG, NASCAR, as well as, oversaw hospitality programming, store events and The Home Depot Foundation Golf Program. Product integration into movies and video games was also a highlight of her time there. After her six-year stint in Atlanta, Brette joined UFC in 2011 and led Global Marketing Partnership Activation. A few of the strategic partners on the UFC roster included: A-B, Harley-Davidson, Dodge, AirAsia, Modelo, Monster Energy, BodyArmor and MetroPCS. Brette joined MGM Resorts International as Global Head of Corporate Partnership in October 2019. Her team manages partnership sales and activation for the MGM enterprise, the WNBA Las Vegas Aces, as well as, beverage partnerships. Their partnership roster includes Coke, PepsiCo, Anheuser-Busch, MillerCoors, Avis, Panama Jack, American Express, MasterCard, just to name a few. VIP and Group Ticketing for all live events (9,000+) across 37 venues, fall under her purview. Brette is a graduate of University of Miami and holds a BS in PR, Psychology and Minor in Sports Management. She is also the Founder and President of the WISE (Women in Sports and Events) Las Vegas Chapter. Brette's Top 4: When you head in for an interview, do all the research on the company that you can and be prepared to articulate where YOUR strengths fit in. Create two metaphorical boxes, one for people who support you and one for people who don't. When you feel the naysayers creep in, just put them in the “Don't Support Me” box. Don't be afraid to make a change. For Brette, changes can be made for two main reasons, first, sometimes you have to move on to move up. Meaning, getting the experience you need to grow sometimes does not come from your current employer so keep your eyes open and your mind open to expansion and change, and second, if you no longer align with your company, meaning that you can no longer be “True to YOUR Brand” it's time to go. Don't ever sacrifice what you stand for for your job. Some things don't change. Come in early and stay late. Check with your boss before you leave work. These behaviors will help you to stand out and show your organization you are willing to go the extra mile. Circle Jerk #156 “Panama Jack” This week we circle jerk it with Panama Jack from 103.3 WGLX radio. He was kind enough to swing by to the Purple Podcast Pad and grace us with some great stories of his start in radio, and how he was profiled as a serial murder due to being a nice and quiet guy. Although he is known for his 10 second bits on the radio, this podcast felt like the time went as quick, but lasted a good two plus hours. He was a pleasure to have on and even though Erv did not totally Fan Boy out on this awesome guest which was two years in the making....he will be back again with more great stories.
