When printing books was not a simple matter, where did our pilgrim fathers and mothers and our founders turn? They turned to the Bible. If we are supposed to be such a secular nation, why in the world with these great explorers and leaders continually turn back to the Bible?

It's all over the interwebs. WotC has been making stealth changes to the lore of many of its releases, to correct language that it sees as possibly problematic. This is both the advantage and curse of digital content. There's been a lot of gloom and doom about One Piece recently. It got taken off Toonami, then it got dumped by Hulu, and now everyone's aflame over whether the Pudding twist was sexist or not. In these trouble times, just remember - One Piece has three times as many volumes in print than the entire population of Japan! It has more graphic novels in circulation than any other comic book in the world. Crazy to think about, isn't it? For all the ups and downs One Piece might go through, no one can deny it's success, and it's indomitable presence in comic book culture worldwide. This week we don't have a discussion, but the Mavericks still manage to go on for about a hour and a half on a ton of news! We cover the March Bookscan list, the latest licenses, and a ton of noteworthy circulation news! We cap off the show covering a list of long-running manga people dropped before their conclusion and the results are...not surprising, but interesting nonetheless! It's a shorter show than usual, but hey, after weeks of three hour long podcasts, we deserve some slack once in a while. Especially since the next couple episodes may very well turn out to be some of our longest yet... Stamp Show Here Today - Postage stamp news, collecting and information
Welcome to Stamp Show Here Today episode 76. All caught up! This officially clears out our backlog of episodes and from here on out we will be back to our weekly schedule. Thank you to all of our listeners who trudged through while we missed weeks and released several episodes per week. In this episode we discuss the best stamps of 2015, Linn's Stamp News value reporting, Caj's corrections, and our expert topic of the week is about U.S. special printings.
This episode will explain bleed and why you need it for InDesign documents. Bleed is the part on the top and sides of a document that allows a small amount of space to account for movement of the paper, and design inconsistencies. It is very difficult to print exactly to the edge of a sheet of paper/card, to achieve this it is necessary to print a slightly larger area than is needed and then trim the paper/card down to the required finished size. Images and fills which are intended to extend to the edge of the page must be extended beyond the trim line to give a bleed.
Okay, look, this is not our best episode, but it’s real. We talk about 2nd Printings, Art Baltazar, C2E2 and New Events. I deleted most of the s’mores argument and our Happy Endings analysis, but I know I missed editing out an inappropriate joke in there.
