Jonah Scott isn't just working in anime — he's quietly becoming one of the most powerful voices in the industry. From his breakout performance as Legoshi in Netflix's critically acclaimed Beastars, to voicing Kokushibo in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle — which shattered global box office records with a $70 million opening weekend — Scott has proven he doesn't just land roles. He defines them. He brought emotional intensity to Oliver Aiku in Blue Lock, added cult-status gravitas to Aiden Caldwell in Dying Light, and commands the screen as Katakuri in One Piece. And that's just scratching the surface. With credits spanning: Beastars (Netflix) Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Blue Lock (Hulu, Disney+, Crunchyroll) One Piece Dying Light Fire Emblem: Engage Pokémon Masters SK8 the Infinity Kaiju No. 8 Twisted-Wonderland Super Crooks Campfire Cooking in Another World Jonah Scott represents the new era of English dub excellence — emotionally grounded, technically sharp, and globally recognized. Beastars Part 2 of the final season premieres March 2026. Blue Lock returns this summer. Demon Slayer continues its historic run. If you care about anime, voice acting, or where the industry is headed — this conversation matters. This is Jonah Scott, unfiltered — only on the Too Opinionated Podcast. #JonahScott #Beastars #DemonSlayer #BlueLock #OnePiece

Streaming News 39:41: Whatever the Kodansha-Disney deal was supposed to mean, Justin at least doesn’t know since the newest Ghost in the Shell anime will be streamed on Prime this summer; Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc will stream on Crunchyroll this Spring but Justin of course will make this about Demon Slayer; And not surprisingly, things don’t get cheaper, they get more expensive so Crunchyroll upping the subscription price for all tiers is not a shock. 44:43: GKIDS acquired the North American theatrical rights to Shōji Kawamori’s original animation film Labyrinth and it will be in theaters for two days in May; The 76th Berlin International Film Festival is screening a 4K restoration of Ninja Scroll; and Oceanveil continues branching out from what they’re usually known for, and now has Haigakura & Scum’s Wish on their service. Main Topic: Winter Anime 2026 First Impressions 48:04: Justin and Helen discuss a very packed Winter Anime season, which means you should find a lot to like, whether it’s sequels (Frieren S2, Jujutsu Kaisen S3) to thoughtful and dense shows (Journal With Witch) or hilarious romcoms (Tamon's B-Side, You and I Are Polar Opposites). Just don’t do what Justin’s doing and watch objectively bad anime because you liked the original source (Roll Over and Die at 53:03, Tune in to the Midnight Heart at 1:07:47). Weird News 1:57:24: The year of reviving old material continues, as now Chie Shinohara’s Red River is getting an anime adaptation, so once again Justin implores everyone to let their dreams be dreams and put out in the universe what you want to become an anime! 2:03:51: You wouldn’t think a collaboration between artists would generate any controversy, but if it involves China and My Hero Academia, then yes, there will be controversy; if you like spicy foods and Hatsune Miku, Thailand’s got something for you; And finally, Mamoru Oshii has too much time on his hands since he’s logged way too many hours on Fallout, why would he share this with anyone (meanwhile Justin reveals how many hours he’s logged into Fire Emblem: Three Houses) If there’s anything you’d like to share, please feel free to reach out to us on Twitter (@TheOASG) or comment below with your thoughts! The post TheOASG Podcast Episode 237: The Longest Talk We’ve Done Yet! (Probably) appeared first on TheOASG.

From Astro Boy to Gundam to real-world robots like ASIMO and Pepper, Japan's fascination with robots runs deep. This week, the Krewe is joined by author, cultural commentator, & robot enthusiast Matt Alt to explore how robots became heroes instead of threats in Japanese pop culture and how those sci-fi dreams quietly shaped Japan's modern relationship with technology, AI, and everyday automation. From giant mecha and cyborg icons to robot cafés and beyond, we dig into why Japan seems so comfortable living alongside machines in an episode that's equal parts nostalgia, culture, and future tech.------ About the Krewe ------The Krewe of Japan Podcast is a weekly episodic podcast sponsored by the Japan Society of New Orleans. Send us a textAs Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle opened to massive box office and critical fan reaction, fans wondered whether this could break into the Oscars. But the reality is far simpler—and far less dramatic. The Academy was never going to nominate a movie that functions as a direct, late‑series continuation of an ongoing storyline. In this episode of iCritic LIVE, Kevin unpacks why Infinity Castle, despite its scale, spectacle, and emotional weight, is fundamentally built for viewers already deep into the Demon Slayer narrative. For Oscar voters who expect a film to stand on its own, this kind of continuity‑heavy storytelling is a non‑starter.

This episode of Wise_N_Nerdy brings together fatherhood, fandom, and mental health as Charles and Joe are joined by special guest Todd Sarner, a licensed psychotherapist, parenting coach, and the founder of Transformative Parenting. Blending nerdy fun with meaningful conversation, this episode is a perfect example of how pop culture and real-life parenting lessons can coexist. The show kicks off with the Question of the Week: “If you could have any two IPs do a crossover, which two would you choose?” The conversation quickly spirals into delightful chaos as the hosts imagine dream mashups like Star Trek meeting The Lord of the Rings, Quantum Leap crossing paths with Doctor Who, and even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles teaming up with Demon Slayer. It's imaginative, passionate, and exactly the kind of nerdy debate fans love. As tradition demands, the roll of the dice sends the crew straight into a round of truly unfunny bad dad jokes—the kind that hurt to hear and somehow hurt even more to tell. Groans are plentiful, dignity is lost, and the tone is perfectly set for what comes next. In the “Daddy, Tell Me A Story” segment, Todd shares his personal and professional journey into therapy, opening up about what led him to create Transformative Parenting and why helping families navigate emotional growth has become his life's work. It's a heartfelt look at how experience, empathy, and intention shape better parents and healthier kids. That naturally leads into the “How Do I…?” segment, where Charles, Joe, and Todd dig into the benefits of therapy—especially for children. They discuss breaking stigmas, building emotional tools early, and how therapy can be a proactive support rather than a last resort. It's an encouraging reminder for parents that seeking help is a strength, not a failure, and a powerful way to Find your FAMdom through support, connection, and understanding. The dice then decree it's time for the Parliament of Papas, featuring a legendary parenting tale of epic revenge. The hosts unpack a story where a father proves a point by allowing his kids to “loot” his brother's house—turning a teachable moment into a hilarious and unforgettable lesson about consequences. To close things out, the episode dives into “What Are You Nerding Out About?” Joe offers a balanced and thoughtful take on the newly released Hytale, highlighting both its strengths and noticeable flaws while expressing excitement for its future potential. Charles passionately rants and raves about Tron: Ares, while Todd nerds out over the growing power of AI as a transformative tool—and shares some personal joy by talking about his upcoming nuptials. It's an episode packed with laughs, insight, and heart—bringing together expert parenting wisdom and unapologetic fandom in a way only Wise_N_Nerdy can. It is only mid-January 2026, and the world has already reached peak "end-times" energy. In this episode of the LTS podcast, Marcos, Mr. G, and Josue attempt to find the humor in our collective digital collapse as they navigate the total wreckage of the GPU market and the AI-driven "hardware apocalypse." Between dodging cosmic glitches and whatever military-grade "extraterrestrials" are currently haunting the skies, the trio dives into the soul-deep debate of anime subbing versus dubbing—passionately arguing that Japanese voice acting in Demon Slayer is the only thing still providing pure emotional stability in this cursed timeline. If the first two weeks of the year are already this unhinged, at least we'll have high-quality animation to watch while the RAM prices send us into early retirement.#AnimeRecommendations #Gaming #TechIndustryMr. G Social Mediahttps://www.instagram.com/ameliorationautos?igsh=eTIwOGhxazA4ZGJs-------------------------------------------------- IG: https://bit.ly/IG-LTS -------------------------------------------------- LTS on X: https://bit.ly/LTSTweets -------------------------------------------------- Buy Me Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/LTS2020

Despite early optimism by box office analysts, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle has failed to become the first global anime movie release to reach $1B. Adding salt to the wound, Demon Slayer has been denied extended screenings in China due to "unavoidable circumstances."On Dec. 11, 2025, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle concluded its box office run in China, which began on Nov. 14, 2025. Per Livedoor News, Infinity Castle will finish its theatrical run with 675 million yuan, which is approximately $96 million. Although Demon Slayer's record-breaking release in China qualifies for an extended theatrical run, Infinity Castle has been denied such an extension. The film's unexpected theatrical end is being blamed on rising political tensions between China and Japan, which have led to numerous cancellations of Japanese performances in China.Support The Podcast!https://creators.spotify.com/pod/show/roose366/subscribeFollow For More Content &Streams!Science Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/5nFXe9dPeWrMpyObyAlrnF?si=7358d1cf32cb45b7Youtube Gaming: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSAsZiNshPZteBbyd5MuYYgTiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@podcastonanime
Bradley Sutton shares his wild journey from sumo wrestler and Zumba instructor to Amazon launch expert, revealing the Amazon seller grind mindset, resilience, hustle, heart, and hard-won lessons.
A few weeks ago, Preston introduced Todd to his first big screen anime film, "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle," a movie about warriors trained in magical martial arts taking on demons in a hell-adjacent lair known as the Infinity Castle.Note: The official name of the movie is "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle," but that's a mouthful, so we refer to it by a shorter name. - Just how little did Todd know about the TV show before Preston got Todd to go to the big-screen movie spinoff? In his usual rundown, how much did Todd get wrong? - This movie is divided into three stories. Which ones did the Geeks think were the best, middle, and worst / least good? And, did Preston & Todd agree on that? - Which story of the three was the longest, and was that a good thing or part of the problem? - What storytelling techniques were used in this movie, quite a bit, and was it too much or just enough? - What enthused Preston enough about this movie to go to the movie theater to see it? - With Todd not having seen all the of the TV show and even Preston himself not seeing all of it, was this a satisfying continuation of the TV show? - Was one or more flashbacks having their own flashbacks a step too far for Todd? - What are the motivations of the heroes & villains in this world? - Why are the different elemental & animalistic powers of the demon slayers called "breathing" techniques? - Which character from the TV show did Preston really miss when that character did not appear in the movie? - Which character death surprised & bothered both Geeks? - What redemption arc worked for Preston but not for Todd? - What was Todd's biggest complaint about the movie? - What aspect of the movie involved more utility abilities, rather than fighting, and was it intriguing?Listen now for the answers to these and other breath-taking questions, as Preston & Todd fight their was through the..."Infinity Castle."Please rate or review us wherever you listen to podcasts. This week on Wise_N_Nerdy, Charles and Joe kick off the show with a popcorn-powered Question of the Week: “What is the best popcorn?” From classic buttery goodness to sweet caramel crunch and even the fancy gourmet blends, the hosts and listeners pop off (pun intended) on what makes the perfect snack. With the dice rolled and destiny set, the first segment lands on “What Are You Nerding Out About?” — where Charles talks about Too Many Losing Heroines, a cozy and feel-good anime he loves to throw on in the background. He also admits he's bursting at the seams wanting to talk about the new Demon Slayer movie — if only Joe would finally watch it! Meanwhile, Joe's been fully immersed in the world of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, so much so that he's rewatching it with his wife, proving that great anime really is worth a second run.Next up, the dice take us into the “How Do I…?” segment, where Charles and Joe tackle a real parenting conundrum: What do you do when your kid wants to quit an activity mid-season? Both dads agree that sticking it out is an important life lesson — it builds character, teaches commitment, and keeps those registration fees from going to waste! The show keeps rolling with “Daddy, Tell Me A Story,” where the hosts get reflective about how parenting evolves over time. From strict curfews to more relaxed rules, Charles and Joe share how being a parent to your firstborn can look very different from raising your youngest — and why that's not necessarily a bad thing. Then it's time for the “Parliament of Papas” segment, featuring a speakpipe from fan-favorite Devocite, who tells a tale about making his daughter clean up a biohazard left by her dog. Charles and Joe weigh in with their takes on responsibility, consequences, and the fine art of gross parenting moments that build character (and stories for the podcast). Finally, the episode wraps up with a classic Bad Dad Joke that compares air conditioning to computers — because, of course, both stop working at the worst possible times.Full of warmth, wit, and dad-level wisdom, this episode is a perfect mix of heart and humor. Whether you're here for the laughs, the life lessons, or the anime talk, you're bound to Find your FAMdom right here with Charles and Joe.Wise_N_Nerdy: Where Fatherhood Meets Fandom
