They explore biblical perspectives on honoring political leaders, the unconventional governance style of Trump, and the polarized public perception surrounding him. The conversation highlights the contrasting reactions from conservatives, ranging from staunch support to critical opposition, and examines the underlying reasons for the widespread dislike of Trump, including his demeanor and political stances. In this conversation, Pastor Tim and Bible Bashed discuss the current political landscape in America, focusing on the polarization surrounding Trump and his policies. They explore the implications of DEI initiatives, the abortion debate, and the perception of Trump as a controversial figure. The discussion also touches on the idolatry surrounding Trump among some conservatives and the need for a critical perspective on political support. Takeaways The Bible encourages respect for political leaders. Trump's actions have been seen as a refreshing change. Many conservatives feel Trump is getting things done. Public perception of Trump is heavily influenced by his demeanor. Critics often focus on Trump's lack of political correctness. Evangelicals may struggle with supporting a controversial figure. The left's reaction to Trump is rooted in their values. Conservative reactions to Trump vary widely among different groups. Trump's America First agenda challenges traditional liberal views. The political landscape has shifted significantly under Trump's influence. One of the best things he did was shine a spotlight on DEI. The country is very polarized with clear battle lines. There's a lot of self-loathing in America regarding its heritage. The abortion issue is a narrow subset of concerns among Christians. Many conservatives fail to realize how small their echo chamber is. Christians on the left do not engage in the same apologetic behavior. The left's totalitarian approach seeks to dominate and make others submit. Not all conservatives need to distance themselves from extreme views. The conversation highlights the importance of honesty in parenting and the dangers of replacing Christ with secular figures during the Christmas season. Takeaways Lying to children about Santa Claus has moral implications. Santa Claus is often treated as a real figure, leading to deception. The cultural tradition of Santa can overshadow the true meaning of Christmas. Parents should be cautious about fostering beliefs in fictional characters. Children may equate belief in Santa with belief in God as they grow older. The idea of Santa can lead to a misunderstanding of grace and works righteousness. Santa's attributes can mirror those of Jesus, creating confusion. Honesty in parenting is crucial for children's understanding of faith. Humanity is under the wrath of God due to sin. Idleness is a serious sin that requires church discipline. The early church faced temptations of idleness due to expectations of Christ's return. Work is central to human dignity and purpose. Enabling others can be a form of sin, even when done with good intentions. Charity can sometimes facilitate sin rather than help. The apostles set an example of hard work for believers to follow. Church discipline is often neglected in modern congregations. Christ's work is the foundation of our salvation, not our own efforts. Parents enabling children is a significant problem. Children often provide total financial provision for parents. Wives can enable husbands to reject their responsibilities. Not all needs are legitimate; some are manipulative. Enabling idleness leads to severe consequences. Taking away someone's work removes their dignity. Pain can be a good teacher for personal growth. If you love people, you won't subsidize their sin. Natural consequences are necessary for repentance. The Prodigal Son illustrates the dangers of enabling behavior. In this conversation, Pastor Tim and Harrison delve into the complexities of relationships, authority, and decision-making within the context of marriage. They explore the balance between selfishness and selflessness, the dynamics of authority and preference, and the distinction between wisdom and sin in decision-making. The discussion also touches on the nature of submission in marriage and the differences between governmental authority and marital authority, providing insights into how these concepts interact in everyday life. Takeaways Submission in marriage is a complex topic. Public opinion often misinterprets authority dynamics. Cultural context shapes reactions to authority in marriage. Most men do not ask their wives for much. Authority should not be used in a self-centered way. Preference issues should not dictate authority. Mutual respect is crucial in marital relationships. The analogy of uniforms highlights societal expectations. Women often dress their husbands without issue. Understanding biblical principles is key to navigating authority. Selfishness can distort relationship dynamics. A husband should not always prioritize his wife's preferences. Authority should not be used selfishly in relationships. Wisdom issues in decision-making can be complex and situational. Submission does not mean accepting all demands from a husband. A wife can confront her husband about selfish behavior. Love should guide decisions in a marriage. Authority in marriage is different from governmental authority. Healthy relationships require mutual respect and understanding. They explore the importance of respect and the appropriate ways to engage with older figures, emphasizing the need for a measured approach when disagreements arise. The conversation also delves into biblical principles surrounding authority and respect, highlighting the significance of honoring those who are older and the dynamics of communication in various relationships. Takeaways The Bible encourages honoring older men in the faith. Memeing respected figures can be seen as a form of rebuke. Context matters when discussing controversies in faith. Age and authority should influence how we communicate. Mockery may not be the best response to perceived wrongs. Faithful service over the years should be acknowledged. Understanding the generational divide is crucial in discussions. Seeking clarity in conflicts can lead to better outcomes. Wisdom often resides with those who have more experience. Dialogue is essential for resolving misunderstandings. Online criticism should be approached with caution and respect. Humor can be a tool for critique, but it should not demean others. Respect for elders is a biblical principle that should guide interactions. Disagreements with elders require a careful and respectful approach. Understanding the perspective of older individuals can lead to better communication. It's important to consider the wisdom that comes with age. In this episode, Tim navigates complex historical and theological discussions surrounding Hitler's ideologies, the Holocaust, and the implications of antisemitism. The conversation delves into the challenges of affirming historical claims, the role of scapegoating in cultural decay, and the nuances of ethnic identity and sinfulness. Tim expresses uncertainty about various statements regarding Jewish influence and conspiracies, ultimately advocating for a more scripturally centered approach to these discussions. Takeaways Viewer discretion is advised for sensitive audiences. Salvation is found in Christ alone, rejecting any alternatives. The speaker feels unable to sign the Antioch Declaration. There is sympathy towards the Christian nationalist project, but skepticism remains. Affirmation of key figures in the Christian community is important. The idea of 'no enemies to the right' is questioned as a biblical strategy. Judgment and charity should guide discourse within the church. Historical context is crucial for understanding current debates. Reactionary tendencies can be problematic and unhelpful. The speaker expresses uncertainty about the implications of the declaration. Hitler's ideologies contain elements that are worth examining critically. The Holocaust is a complex historical event that requires careful study. Ignorance about historical claims can lead to confusion in discussions. Judgment of motives can complicate conversations about repentance and self-loathing. Inconsistencies in historical narratives can hinder productive dialogue. Scapegoating is a dangerous practice that can lead to cultural decay. Rejecting antisemitism does not mean ignoring historical accountability. Ethnic identity can be a sensitive topic in discussions of sinfulness. They delve into the distinction between local and universal church concepts, the frequency of attendance, and the moral obligations of Christians to prioritize worship. The discussion also touches on the challenges of balancing work and faith, particularly when job requirements conflict with church attendance. In this conversation, Pastor Tim discusses the significance of regular church attendance as a fundamental aspect of Christian faithfulness. He emphasizes the obligations Christians have to God and their community, arguing that attending church is not merely a favor but a commandment. The discussion also explores the challenges of balancing job responsibilities with church commitments, particularly for healthcare workers and those in essential roles. Pastor Tim encourages listeners to prioritize their faith and worship, even in the face of societal pressures and job demands. Takeaways Church attendance is a biblical command. The local church is essential for Christian community. Frequency of attendance is a debated topic. Arguments for regular attendance include moral obligations. Sick days should not be equated with neglecting church. Work obligations and church obligations are distinct. Difficult cases shouldn't dictate church attendance rules. Church discipline requires a local church context. Worshiping God is a priority, not a suggestion. Justifying missed attendance can lead to a poor posture towards worship. Going to church every week is the bare minimum of Christian faithfulness. Worship is an act of allegiance to God. Christians have obligations to one another in their local church. Church attendance should not be viewed as a favor. There are strong biblical warnings against neglecting church gatherings. Job responsibilities should not take precedence over worship. Healthcare workers have a unique obligation but should seek balance. It's important to research churches when traveling. Faithfulness to God should guide job decisions. It addresses cultural confusion surrounding the roles of pets and the concept of family, highlighting the need for Christians to reaffirm biblical truths in a society that increasingly blurs these distinctions. In this conversation, the speaker discusses the evolving relationship between humans and animals, emphasizing the moral distinctions between them. The speaker reflects on the legacy of individuals who prioritize pets over human relationships, the changing societal views on pets as companions, and the deep-seated need for human companionship. The conversation also addresses the dangers of idolatry in the affection for animals and concludes with a reminder of God's unique love for humanity. Takeaways Salvation is found in Christ alone. Humanity's sin leads to divine judgment. Animals are not created in the image of God. Pets are often viewed as family members today. Cultural confusion affects our understanding of relationships. Delayed marriages contribute to increased pet ownership. Biblical truths about creation are often ignored. The distinction between humans and animals is crucial. Pets provide companionship but should not replace human relationships. Understanding family from a biblical perspective is essential. The legacy of a person can sometimes be reduced to their pets. Moral distinctions between humans and animals are crucial. Animals should not be given the same rights as humans. The role of pets has shifted from utility to companionship. Humans have an inherent need for companionship and community. Isolation leads people to seek companionship in animals. Idolatry can manifest in the way we treat our pets. God's love is uniquely directed towards humanity, not animals. The changing societal norms reflect a misunderstanding of companionship. Repentance and a return to God's design are necessary. The discussion covers the foundation of salvation in Christ, the historical context of marriage, changing societal attitudes, and the consequences of singleness. Pastor Mullet argues that marriage is a divine institution with responsibilities for procreation, and highlights the importance of understanding God's intentions as presented in the scriptures. In this conversation, the Pastor Tim discusses the biblical perspective on marriage, singleness, and the commands of God. Emphasizing that God's commands are blessings rather than curses, the speaker argues that marriage is a duty and responsibility rather than an optional pursuit. The conversation explores the purpose of marriage in God's plan, highlighting its significance in procreation and mutual support. The speaker also addresses the challenges of singleness, encouraging those who desire marriage to actively pursue it with confidence and a sense of obligation. Takeaways Christianity teaches that salvation is found in Christ. Marriage is presented as a divine institution in Genesis. Historical perspectives show a shift in attitudes towards marriage. The age of first marriages has increased over the decades. Societal changes have influenced the church's view on marriage. God describes man's single state as not good, indicating incompleteness. Marriage is a duty and responsibility, not just a personal choice. The Bible begins and ends with the concept of marriage. God's design for humanity includes the blessing of procreation. The church must recognize the importance of marriage in God's plan. God's commands are blessings that lead to life. Marriage is presented as a duty and responsibility. The world often misunderstands the purpose of marriage. People are inescapably made for marriage. The church's role is to uphold God's design for marriage. They explore biblical principles regarding money in ministry, the implications of partiality, and the historical context of charging for church services. The conversation raises critical questions about the ethics of pricing in Christian contexts and the nature of spiritual teaching. In this conversation, the speakers delve into the themes of partiality in scripture, the role of parachurch ministries, and the implications of women teaching in Christian conferences. They discuss the broader applications of biblical teachings, the hypocrisy of charging for spiritual guidance, and the distinction between co-laboring and reciprocity in ministry. The conversation culminates in reflections on the current landscape of Christian conferences and the ethical considerations surrounding them. Takeaways The pricing of Ali Beth Stuckey's conference raises ethical concerns. Biblical principles warn against showing partiality based on wealth. Charging exorbitant fees for spiritual access contradicts Christian teachings. Historical practices like seat rents in churches have been criticized. The nature of what is being sold at conferences is crucial to the discussion. Partiality can manifest in various forms, not just financial. The concept of freely giving what has been freely received is central to Christian teaching. Celebrity culture in Christianity complicates the issue of pricing. Responses to high ticket prices often miss the underlying ethical issues. The conversation highlights the need for transparency in ministry finances. People often misapply scripture to fit their narratives. Scripture is meant for the edification of all, not just select parts. Jesus applied scripture broadly, challenging narrow interpretations. Partiality in church settings can manifest in various ways. Parachurch ministries may enable violations of scriptural principles. Women teaching in conferences raises questions about authority. Charging for spiritual teaching can be seen as hypocritical. Co-laboring in ministry should be prioritized over reciprocity. Conferences should be funded through voluntary donations, not ticket sales. The integrity of Christian teaching must be upheld in all settings. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

They delve into biblical teachings, the importance of financial independence in marriage, and the benefits of maintaining proximity to family. The conversation also addresses the dynamics of family relationships, responsibilities, and the covenantal concerns surrounding family inheritance. In this conversation, Harrison and Pastor Tim explore the themes of inheritance, family dynamics, and the balance between honoring parents and prioritizing one's spiritual allegiance to God. They discuss the importance of building a legacy, the missionary impulse of the New Covenant, and the witness of faithfulness within family structures. The dialogue also addresses the contrasting commands of Jesus regarding family relationships and the necessity of prioritizing God over familial obligations when conflicts arise. Takeaways A man should leave his father and mother to establish his own household. Financial independence is crucial for a healthy marriage. Proximity to parents can provide significant support and blessings. Honoring parents is a biblical command that encourages closeness. There are situations where distance from parents may be necessary for well-being. Covenantal concerns influence family dynamics and responsibilities. Maintaining family relationships requires effort and grace. The role of grandparents is important in the lives of grandchildren. Cultural and economic factors affect family living arrangements. Navigating in-law relationships can be challenging but necessary. A righteous man leaves an inheritance to his children's children. Thinking in terms of inheritance and building a legacy is essential. The New Covenant introduces a missionary impulse not present in the Old Covenant. Family dynamics can serve as a strong witness to faithfulness. Honoring parents involves understanding their sacrifices and contributions. The journey to appreciating parents often comes with maturity and experience. Jesus' teachings emphasize prioritizing God over family when necessary. Spiritual family can sometimes take precedence over biological family. Healthy family relationships require mutual respect and understanding. Learning from parents is valuable, even amidst generational differences. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

They explore the implications of modern dating practices on church unity, the importance of viewing relationships through a biblical lens, and offer advice on how to approach dating in a healthy manner. The conversation also delves into the challenges posed by sin in relationships and the potential need for church discipline. Ultimately, they emphasize the importance of maintaining unity within the church body, regardless of personal relationship challenges. Takeaways: Your dating relationship does not confer rights or privileges. Modern dating often mimics marriage without commitment. Breaking up should not necessitate leaving the church. Unity in the church is a biblical command. Dating should be approached with the goal of marriage. Guard your heart, but don't be unapproachable. Dating should be casual, not overly serious. Consider the kind of church where you want to find a spouse. Sin complicates relationships and church unity. It came to pass, after the turning of many days and nights, that Tim and Harrison, long sundered by the tides of time and fortune, met once more beneath the fair light of a waning sun. A month had drifted by, silent as the shadow of a passing cloud, and now at last, they stood together, as of old. Tim, whose mind had wandered far and wide through the paths of distant thought, was first to speak. “Much has transpired since we last took council,” he said, his voice thoughtful, as if the weight of unspoken tales rested upon his tongue. “I have journeyed through lands unknown, seen the rise and fall of fleeting hopes, and tasted both the bitter and the sweet.” Harrison, no less changed by the passage of time, nodded gravely. “Aye, my friend,” he replied, “the road has been long and winding. Yet here we stand, at the turning of the tide, with much to share. Let us now tell our tales and speak of the days that have gone before.” Thus, with the slow unfolding of words, they began to recount the paths they had trod, the trials they had faced, and the strange wonders they had seen. And so it was, as the evening deepened and the stars kindled in the sky, that Tim and Harrison, like travelers returned from far-off lands, shared in the fellowship of their journeying, and found peace in the telling of their tale. ▶ Splash Page: https://i.mtr.bio/biblebashed ▶ Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/BibleBashed ▶ YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMxYyDEvMCq5MzDN36shY3g ▶ Main Episode's playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtY_5efowCOk74PtUhCCkvuHlif5K09v9 ▶ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BibleBashed ▶ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BibleBashed ▶ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BibleBashed --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands." - **Colossians 3:18-19**: "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them." - **1 Peter 3:1-7**: "Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives, when they see your respectful and pure conduct. ... Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered." Feminism has become so pervasive that it has even infiltrated Christian institutions and deceived us into believing that men aren't good Husbands if they hold their wife accountable, tell them the truth they don't want to hear, or give them commands and directions as any normal leader would. Instead, Christians have been convinced that leadership is doing everything for the wife and never offending her. It is true that Christ came to serve, not to be served. However, being a leader who serves others doesn't mean what most think of when they hear the term "servant leader." On this episode of the Bible Bashed Podcast we will discuss this advice given and why it is concerning that no one is bothered when a groom is told to do everything his brides says but light their hair on fire the moment the bride is told to do what the groom wants. ▶ Splash Page: https://i.mtr.bio/biblebashed ▶ Main Episode's playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtY_5efowCOk74PtUhCCkvuHlif5K09v9 ▶ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BibleBashed ▶ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BibleBashed ▶ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BibleBashed --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support
This is part 2 of our discussion on polygamy. If you haven't listened to part 1 then follow this link: https://youtu.be/lsnU0g9vp_k With the increase in sexual depravity plaguing our society, Christians have found themselves having to address all manner of immorality. Unfortunately, this has led many Christians to wrong understandings of marriage and the biblical sexual ethic God has laid out for us in scripture. There are Christians who believe God views and even encourages, things like polygamy. They see examples of polygamy in the Old Testament, and assume that means God endorses such arrangements. That is but one example of the arguments they present in defense of polygamy. In this episode of the Bible Bashed Podcast we will address many of the prominent arguments presented in defense of polygamy and explain why God has plainly revealed to us that marriage is only between one man and one woman. ▶ Splash Page: https://i.mtr.bio/biblebashed ▶ Main Episode's playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtY_5efowCOk74PtUhCCkvuHlif5K09v9 ▶ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BibleBashed ▶ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BibleBashed ▶ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BibleBashed --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

Why does God allow suffering? One of the most common questions asked by believers and non-believers alike. With that in mind, we need to have a biblical response to encourage the weak in faith and refute those who hate God. God indeed does allow suffering. In fact, He causes suffering many times. Why does he do this? Sometimes, it can be a test. Other times, it is meant to be punishment for sin. In this episode of the Bible Bashed Podcast, we will lay out these basic ideas in more detail. ▶ Splash Page: https://i.mtr.bio/biblebashed ▶ Main Episode's playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtY_5efowCOk74PtUhCCkvuHlif5K09v9 ▶ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BibleBashed ▶ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BibleBashed ▶ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BibleBashed --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

The subject of single motherhood is a very sensitive one to navigate. Normal Christians often feel a sense of unease when deciding how to handle the news that an unwed loved one or a friend is pregnant. They know what has happened to produce the baby was sinful but are conflicted because the Bible also calls children a blessing. Furthermore, calling immorality out is considered a worse sin than committing immorality by our current worldly standards. Especially when that immorality is committed by a woman. In this episode of the Bible Bashed Podcast, we will discuss the intricacies of this taboo subject, how Christians should view this type of situation and how they should handle it. ▶ Splash Page: https://i.mtr.bio/biblebashed ▶ Main Episode's playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtY_5efowCOk74PtUhCCkvuHlif5K09v9 ▶ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/BibleBashed ▶ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BibleBashed ▶ Twitter: https://twitter.com/BibleBashed --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support

The same description could be applied to our modern society as well. We have fled so far from God as a society that we are now questioning why eating our own kind is viewed as such an abomination. In this episode of the Bible Bashed Podcast, we will discuss why cannibalism is wrong and how to interact with those who do not have an appropriate view on cannibalism. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/biblebashed/support
