Things had been relatively quiet, but there are now plenty of options coming to streaming services and in theaters, especially as we get closer to the summer movie season. In this week's episode, co-host Bruce Miller shares an interview he had with Quinn Shephard and Samir Mehta, producers of "Under the Bridge," a new limited series on Hulu staring Lily Gladstone. It's the first big project for Gladstone, fresh off her Oscar nomination for "Killers of the Flower Moon." Also on Hulu is a new four-part documentary called, "Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story." The series looks at the history of the band and includes interviews with Jon Bon Jovi, current and former band members, and Bruce Springsteen. Co-host Terry Lipshetz, who grew up in Jon Bon Jovi's hometown of Sayreville, New Jersey, shares some fun facts including a Star Wars connection. Another new series is the Amazon Freevee comedy "Dinner with the Parents." The cast includes Carol Kane and Henry Hall, who is the son of Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Hall. And the show wraps with a discussion of the buzz surround "Civil War," the new film where the nation has fractured and a team of journalists is covering the war. Kirsten Dunst stars as a photojournalist and Nick Offerman plays the president. And of course, there's Dunst's husband Jesse Plemons stealing the show in an uncredited role. Contact us! We want to hear from you! Email questions to podcasts@lee.net and we'll answer your question on a future episode! About the show Streamed & Screened is a podcast about movies and TV hosted by Bruce Miller, a longtime entertainment reporter who is now the editor of the Sioux City Journal in Iowa and Terry Lipshetz, a senior producer for Lee Enterprises based in Madison, Wisconsin.

Talking Through Channel 5 On this episode 66 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Mark, Kyle and I talk through Channel 5. Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 15 was written by Michael Alaimo & Samir Mehta, and directed by David Barrett. We start with a discussion of the last episode… that also discusses this one… again This episode began with feedback on S5E14 Today and Tomorrow from Todd, LT, and Aaron. Discussion about this episode, in particular, begins at 18 minutes 24 seconds into the podcast. More found footage! Huh, more found footage? Yup, it’s even more found footage… I liked this episode a lot on the first watch, but it didn’t do well on rewatches. There were some things in this episode that just didn’t feel authentic. Tom, on one hand, seemed to genuinely appreciate what this group was trying to do, but then he sacrifices himself in a completely idiotic way. You didn’t have to die, Tom, and what purpose did it serve? For that matter, what does it tell the viewer? I really hope they are done with this tape thing! It feels SO inefficient. Why not find a TV or radio station and broadcast your message on a loop? That seems much more effective than these tapes. It’s just dumb. Send in your feedback! Please leave your feedback! We got a good dose of feedback again this week, so keep it comin’! Next time, we’ll cover any additional feedback we get for S5E15 Channel 5, and then talk through the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead, Season 5 Episode 16, titled End of the Line. Get your feedback in by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. One of the best ways to submit feedback is on our Facebook group. You can also send us an email at our new email: walkingdead@talkthroughmedia.com or call our new voicemail at 216-232-6146. We could still use your help! This season, collecting the feedback has been challenging, and we could use your help. Our availability is limited for each of us on Tuesdays when the bulk of the feedback comes in. We have to grab it from the various sources, including the Facebook group, the feedback form, email, and voice mail; put it into a Google doc; separate it into the appropriate sections of the podcast: Ratings, sauces, and feedback; and then fix things like spelling mistakes, grammar, and format, and then divide it by who will read it. If you are available most Tuesdays that we have an episode to record and want to help the podcast out, please drop us a line, either using the feedback form, the Facebook group, or if you are friends with us on Facebook, over Messenger. We’ll work out something if you can, like comping you into the Patreon, assuming you can do that. Ratings are down Ratings for S5E15 Channel 5 were up slightly from last week’s episode, S5E14 Today and Tomorrow. This week, Fear was a
Talking Through Skidmark On this episode 55 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian and Kyle are joined again by our special guest co-host Mark from The Walking Dead Talk Through, as we talk through Fear the Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 4, which is titled, Skidmark. This was written by Samir Mehta, his first episode on this show, and directed by Tara Nicole Weyr, making her second stint as a director on this show. She previously directed S4E11 The Code. We have more feedback for last week’s episode… S5E3 coverage starts at 20:57… Before we get into this week’s episode, we have to share more feedback we received for last week’s episode, S5E3 Humbug’s Gulch. Discussion on this week’s episode starts at 20 minutes and 57 seconds into the podcast. A cat that listens to you! We get a good cold open this episode, with Daniel showing how he uses Skidmark as a diversionary tactic. That little guy seems to know how to get the zombies’ attention and smart enough to know not to let them get too close. I thought this was a great use of the cat, though some would say most cats don’t take commands. However, they do exist. One of my cats, Tazz, reminds me of Skidmark. He listens to commands and usually follows them. We also see Daniel be The Pied Piper of walkers again, something he did in S1E6 The Good Man. More of those kids!!! Quick, get to the choppa! We see that there are more than just Dylan, Max, and Annie that are around. There are more kids, lots more. What happened that made them so scared of grown-ups? Then, we see that symbol we saw when Althea was taken, and We see the helicopter again, and it’s pretty clear this is from the same group… you know, the A or B group… that took away Rick and Jadis in the helicopter on TWD. It seems we’ll get to know more about this group next episode. No, get to the plane, I mean walker chopper! This episode had a unique way to take care of walkers… the plane propellers. That was a pretty cool stunt, helping to save Daniel and at least a truce be called between Daniel and Strand. I thought the scenes with Daniel and Charlie were nice, too. Could he become a foster father for her? FTWD Ratings are down to a new low… This week, FTWD ratings sunk to a new low in the 18-49 demographic. S5E4 Skidmark got a 0.45 in the 18-49 demographic with 1.655 million viewers, the lowest since S4E12 Weak, down from the last week‘s 0.54 and 1.756 million viewers. Again, there was no Talking Dead this week so no ratings for it.
