Send us a textToday, the 21st of February, we have a special configuration in the sky- with your birth chart- IF you have any planets at 9 Virgo AND 9 Scorpio (has to be both!). Transiting Venus is at 9 degrees Aries and it will create this special relationship with ANY planets (or angles) that are BOTH in Scorpio and Virgo at 9 degrees. People born Nov-Dec 1960, Oct-Dec 1961, and Aug 1962 have both Neptune and Pluto at this important degree. (I use a wider orb of 8-10 degrees). Listen and learn about the rare Finger of God -(aka YOD) in the chart. *** PS- add these dates of importance (Venus at the 8-10 degree of Aires)March 8th-18th, May 13th- 17th.Support the showAstrology:http://www.kitchensari.comJewelry:https://www.Etsy.com/shop/parkermcpDonations Via PayPal:https://paypal.me/parkermcphinney1?country.x=US&locale.x=en_USBuy me a chai/coffeehttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/parkercI am on RUMBLE.COM now- with short videos of: Astro/Art/Naturehttps://rumble.com/c/c-1989012 All content © 2020-2025 Stardust Stereo .
Most commonly the challenge is gaining lean muscle. Doing all the things but can't seem to gain muscle? Then tune in and go through this like a check list of 12 strength training mistakes in menopause that could be the reason. It just takes one. But if there are multiple, it's compounded and in this case, not interest but penalty! Join us at Metabolism Makeover 2.0 to support your journey avoiding the 12 strength training mistakes in menopause. Overworking Small Muscle Groups [00:02:20] You need fewer of these small muscle group-focused exercises in your routine if you prioritize the major muscles like chest (pectoralis) and back (trapezius and Latissimus Dorsi). If the secondary (biceps and triceps) muscles are going to get a workout most of the time, these will rob you of time and energy that is better spent on major muscles if you aren't getting in the adequate volume there. Skipping the Warmup [00:06:40] Nearly a decade ago, I began sharing the fact that if you skip the warmup, you also miss an opportunity to increase total energy expenditure during a workout. It's not only about injury prevention. There's an increased blood circulation, improved energy expenditure, mobility and you can work closer to your capacity. If fitness and longevity are truly goals, “exercising” is not the same as working at your capacity and safely, sanely raising the roof on your fitness level so that age doesn't automatically result in slowing down or gaining weight. Not Resting Between Sets Long Enough Before [00:13:10] Rapidly moving from one exercise to the next, was yesterday. The “metabolic conditioning workouts” are a nice anomaly, a change in pace. Rest between sets of strength training. Reach complete muscle fatigue or within 2 reps of it. If you do HIIT, separate the sessions so you get the best benefit from it and from strength. If you are not getting stronger, not increasing muscle, and these are your goals (in order, perhaps to improve body fat % ultimately), it's a “how” you're doing it problem. Plan Your Routine to Avoid 12 Strength Training Mistakes in Menopause No Organized Plan [00:17:30] You either default to using what's available at the gym or doing the same exercises in the same sequence every time. If you're not careful you won't change the stimulus (by changing the sequence and sets/rep combination) and may also not be getting enough sets per muscle group in each week. It doesn't mean that all sets for a muscle group must be all the same exercise. A super set of 6 different exercises for the triceps works. The next workout you may just do 3 and you're still covered… if you planned it that way. Not Sleeping Enough or Not Changing the Workout When You Don't Sleep [00:20:50] The sleep you get will determine the benefit you get from exercise. If you don't prioritize, your workouts will suffer too. You're also at risk for injury, not only because your body isn't fully doing the repair job or releasing testosterone and growth hormone in deep cycles of sleep as it should, but because coordination suffers. Treating Soreness or Worn Out an Indication of “Good Workout” [00:22:40] When you work muscles, it's normal to feel sore, even if you're extremely fit. Some muscles like quads and glutes are used to a lot of activity and tend to get sore less often. But there are two genes associated with soreness and you may either be predisposed to be sore or not. It's not a good indication of whether you worked hard enough. If you reached muscle fatigue or came close, you gave the muscle enough stimulus. The first sign of poor recovery was soreness after workouts, the second was reduced performance during workouts. 12 Strength Training Mistakes in Menopause to Avoid and Nurture Your Body Dependence on Supplements and Negating Balanced Whole Food Meals. [00:27:00] If you're all too willing to jump to EAAs, or BCAAs but won't eat regular meals that result in satiety, chances are your lack of micro and macronutrients will catch up with you. “Food first”, then allow supplements to take you the rest of the way. I don't like to “count” calories on a regular basis but a snapshot is very helpful for checking in. Often for knowing when you're eating too little. Taking Too Much Advice (or Too Little From Too Many People) [00:30:20] It often takes even gurus a while to come around. You have to love Vonda Wright and Mary Haver sharing their own menopause journeys. We need more women like them. They're open about not knowing what they didn't know about menopause, as physicians and women. You have at your fingertips access to women who learned the hard way, so you don't have to. Just don't jump in the middle. You need an onramp. Ignoring Nutrition Needs. [00:32:30] The talk is “calorie deficit.” Yet, 80% of women in our community under-eat for their mere existence (resting metabolic rate) and then try to put their foot on the accelerator for exercise causing a bigger caloric deficit. Then they stay there for years, under-fed and under-fueled (processed food, diet food), the metabolism will come to a halt, along, potentially with adrenal and thyroid function. Figure your calorie needs. Use an app to track your actual intake for 3-5 days. 12 Strength Training Mistakes in Menopause That Hinder Your Progress Thinking Small, Skinny, or Numbers That Don't Matter Instead of That Do [00:36:20] Your size and your weight on the scale do not tell the story of your fitness and health. Though they might hint at your likelihood of sarcopenia and osteoporosis, fall and fracture risk. When women focus on weight or size they sacrifice muscle. When they lose muscle, they lose strength, longevity and independence. A woman who has her ideal weight or size is constantly thinking about it and a step away from a fall or fracture. A fracture that results in bedrest, weakness and loss of more muscle. The beginning of the end. Those falls are not devastating just because of the breaks, but because of brain bleeds or other internal damage. Too Heavy to Start [00:38:20] The first 6-8 weeks, and up to 12, of a resistance training program, the benefits are due to the neural connection. That isn't rushed by going heavy. But loads too great for your ligaments, tendons and joints or muscles can cause weakness, undue soreness, and a weak foundation leading to injury. We, in the fitness industry, need to be more careful. We have sometimes lost our way in regard to where to START, and how and at what pace to PROGRESS. You Add Something But Don't Remove Something Else [00:40:30] I've experienced this temptation myself. When I started training for triathlons at 40, I was compelled to figure out how to run even while I was adding biking or swimming to my schedule. I soon realized I was sabotaging the quality of every workout and just putting those “junk miles.” A woman will lose muscle because of the added stress, inability to recover. That's an extreme example, but if you're adding and never subtracting/replacing, you're probably going to experience similar results. On December 21, 2024, the Lord began to speak to me again about the judgment that He was bringing to America, including California, with specific language concerning San Francisco and Los Angeles. Again, all of this He has spoken of before in previously released prophecies I have published since 2014. He also returns to speak of the shaking that He will bring to Congress. For the first time, He connects Vancouver and California, labeling them as wicked sisters that have set the trend for evil in for the entire world. Concerning Vancouver, He revealed in Nov/Dec 2023 that the city does not have much time before judgment falls. Other important points are revealed as well, not the least of which concerns His promise to bring revival to Hawaii and Alaska. The associated article can be downloaded in PDF from my blog post here: https://www.joshuarevivalproject.org/blog/a-panoramic-appalling-vision-of-judgment-revivalMark C. This month we are joined by Sarah Branson (Coram Chambers) and Professor James Coulson (Professor in Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at Cardiff University). We discuss the concern that over-reliance on the numbers generated in hair testing can lead to miscarriages of justice. The issue is that the use of a standardised cut-off levels have a racial bias, because the dark melanin in the hair helps to incorporate the drugs in the hair so someone with black hair will have a much higher reading than someone with red or blond hair, even if they have used the same amount of drugs over the same period of time. Sarah recommends that from now on when hair testing is commissioned that it has to be instructed like other expert evidence – with a letter of instruction, there is a full forensic history. Sarah has drafted a template LOI and order which you can access on the Coram website: https://www.coramchambers.co.uk/resources/hair-strand-testing-resources/ James makes the point that in other Courts (like to civil, criminal or coroners courts) it is unusual to have an analytical chemist commenting on the wider interpretation of the result. James agrees that it is very important that evidence is not seen in isolation. James takes us through the information that he would to see in these instructions in the future. Sarah reminds us that we should start thinking about this evidence as expert opinion evidence rather than elevating the presumptive weight that should be given to the evidence. Sarah directs us to the judgment of Lord Peter Jackson in D, Re (Children: Interim Care Order: Hair Strand Testing) [2024] EWCA Civ 498 (10 May 2024)https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWCA/Civ/2024/498.html. Sarah points out the numbers from a test is the science but what those numbers mean is just someone's opinion like any other expert evidence. During the discussion, Sarah and James refer to: The incorporation of drugs into hair: relationship of hair color and melanin concentration to phencyclidine incorporation M H Slawson, D G Wilkins, D E Rollins J Anal Toxicol 1998 Oct 22. A LOT has happened in my world since we were last connected, as I'm certain has been the case for you too. It feels natural to share the momentous moments of the last 18 months (give or take) since I was generously sharing with you. A reintroduction to the familiar ears and a big 'hello, this is me' if you've just found my work. Any great change in life comes with many growing pains, big learnings and of course letting go of a whole lot, all of which were the medicine of 2023. In this episode I fill in the gaps from when I was last here up until Nov/Dec 2023. From moving interstate, to purchasing an online business that later became a retail store, to moving house and our life in Byron, I share it all here. Laced with sweet lessons and bountiful gifts, 2023 was *monumental* in forging a new path for myself and my family. Be sure to stop back tomorrow (if you're listening in real time) for part two episode 96 where I bring you right up to now. To add a deeper layer and for the video montage of this episode, come on over to Substack (a blog like platform for writers) where I give you a deeper look into life. While you're here, tap subscribe/follow on your favourite listening platform, I'm grateful for your ongoing support. Find more on this episode and connect with Kate here.

Aviation News Passengers on Qantas flight to Tokyo endure ‘super uncomfortable' experience as racy movie is played on every single screen The IFE system was broken and the crew had to make a movie selection that would be seen on every screen. They chose Daddio from 2023 starring Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn. One passenger said, “Qantas played an inappropriate movie to the whole plane, there was no way to turn it off.” Another said, “It featured graphic nudity and a lot of sexting – the kind where you could literally read the texts on screen without needing headphones.” Experienced Aviator and Master Plane Craftsman Dies in Crash During Saturday Aerodrome Airshow Brian Coughlin, 60, died in a crash during an Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome show. He was flying a replica of a World War I Fokker D-VIII that he had helped to rebuild. A preliminary look at the accident indicated an engine fire during the airshow. The art of losing isn't hard to master in this episode devoted to the loves and losses of Elizabeth Bishop's life. If you'd like to support Breaking Form:Review the show on Apple Podcasts here.Buy our books: Aaron's STOP LYING is available from the Pitt Poetry Series. James's ROMANTIC COMEDY is available from Four Way Books.Read Bishop's villanelle (the only one she ever published!) "One Art." Read about her drafting process (at least 16 versions) here. You can listen to Bishop read a few of her poems, including "In the Waiting Room" here--recorded at the 92nd Street Y in October 1977. And here's a much younger Bishop reading "The Fish."Bishop's Paris Review interview is absolute gold. For more on Lota and Samambaia, the house she built north of Rio, read this Paris Review article on two recent movies made about Bishop and Lota. Other receipts for what we say in the show are found in this New York Times article, "The Love of Her Life"For more about the acrimonious "war of the legal wills" between Bishop and Macedo Soares, I recommend David Hoak's article "Proofs of Love: The Last Letters of Lota de Macedo Soares," published in PN Review Volume 42 Number 2 (Nov-Dec 2015). The link contains a paywall.See more photographs of Samambaia, the glass butterfly-shaped house Lota built in Petrópolis. Here are the receipts about Judy Flynn.Receipts for the Louise Crane-Billie Holiday tryst are here and here. Read "The Loneliness of Elizabeth Bishop" in The Nation. Crusoe in England" was a coded coping with grief over Soares' death. when the repatriated Robinson Crusoe recalls the loss of “Friday, my dear Friday,” who “died of measles / seventeen years ago come March.” Had Soares lived to one more March birthday, the couple would have spent seventeen years together. You can hear Bishop read (and follow along the text of) "Crusoe in England" here.

Sightings of winged creatures flying through the sky have long been a staple of folklore, mythology and legend across the world and across time and cultures. In the ancient world, Gods and monsters were depicted with enormous, scaled and feathered wings, whilst in modern times, sightings have become more and more diverse, from thunderbirds, to the mysterious Mothman. Three years before the one of the most famous sightings of a mysterious flying creature in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, there was a sighting almost 4,000 miles away, across the Atlantic in a quiet market town in the south-east of England that bore a remarkable resemblance and whilst it caused far less of a stir, it certainly drew just as much confusion.
