Score a couple for the cybernetic organisms, because the biggest winners of the weekend were Gregory “Robocop” Rodrigues and Cris “Cyborg” Justino. Rodrigues went out there in a UFC Fight Night main event and beat up Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez (who didn't get on the automated humanoid train with his nickname, which seems like a mistake in retrospect). Cyborg successfully defended her PFL women's featherweight title against Ketlen Vieira, in a fight that was supposed to be Cyborg's retirement party — but it turned out Vieira was the one that retired. Also at the UFC event, there were seven first-round stoppages and just three decisions, 11 of the 26 fighters on the card were Dana White Contender Series alums, and 14 fighters earned $50K or less. At PFL, a couple of dudes scored Knockout of the Year-level stoppages. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Dricus Du Plessis picked up another huge win over Kamaru Usman, but according to Brendan Schaub, the biggest story from UFC Fight Night wasn't the main event—it was the arrival of Tommy McMillan. On this episode of Big Brown Breakdown, Brendan breaks down DDP's dominant performance against Usman, explains why Kamaru still has plenty left at welterweight, and discusses what's next for the UFC middleweight division with Khamzat Chimaev, Sean Strickland, Joe Pyfer, and the rest of the title picture.Brendan also explains why Tommy McMillan may be the UFC's next breakout superstar, why the promotion needs to be patient with his development, and why Fatima Kline looks destined to become a future UFC champion.Plus, Brendan reacts to Conor McGregor's latest injury update, Patty Pimblett reportedly being contacted for a role on MobLand, Colby Covington's performance at Real American Freestyle, Max Holloway's viral relationship story, Sean Strickland making headlines once again, Canelo Alvarez firing back at MMA fighters, and all the biggest news from the world of combat sports.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Well, turns out Conor McGregor blew out both his ACL and meniscus when he tried to do that flying kick against Max Holloway at UFC 329. Pretty much broke his whole shit, which means he's probably out until at least next summer. As Dana White is quick to point out to everybody who has asked, Conor's knee is so “fucked up” (his words) that it's not even really worthwhile discussing what might be next for him until he's healed up and ready to go again. Oh, and in case you're wondering, Conor has decided it was actually GOOD that he destroyed his knee and lost to Max because, had he won, something much worse might have happened. No, we are not kidding you. Plus, Dricus du Plessis did pretty much what we thought he would do to Kamaru Usman en route to a unanimous decision victory Saturday at UFC Fight Night in Oklahoma City. Maybe the biggest surprise was it didn't seem like it was Usman's knees that cost him the fight. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Dricus du Plessis got back in the win column, but where he goes from here is anybody's guess. On Saturday night, the former middleweight champion added a rock-solid win to his resume, winning a wide unanimous decision over Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC Oklahoma City. But though it was a good win for “DDP,” du Plessis failed to make a statement over the smaller fighter, raising the question of whether that was good enough for him to get another crack at the middleweight belt? Following the UFC Fight Night card, MMA Fighting's Jed Meshew reacts to du Plessis's win and where it puts him in the 185-pound pecking order. Additionally, Jed talks about where Usman goes from here, the rest of the UFC Oklahoma City Card, Johnny Eblen's big win at PFL Austin, the marquee RAF results, and more.
