Traffickers are master manipulators. They twist past trauma to gain trust, build bonds, and even evoke love in their victims. Or are we stuck with the cards we're dealt? In this episode, we sit down with Sara Breuer, Education Coordinator at United Against Human Trafficking. We discuss childhood trauma, how human traffickers manipulate their victims, and how you can keep yourself and your families safe.Learn more about human traffickingSign up for a free webinar

Human trafficking is modern-day slavery and victims, often sourced through their vulnerability, are subject to force, fraud or coercion for the purposes of forced labor and/or sexual exploitation. With 24.9 million victims across the globe, this atrocity represents a waste of a person's one, precious life and must be halted to usher in a world where all people are free to live beyond bondage to others, a decidedly higher plane of consciousness than we currently dwell. The United Against Human Trafficking organization stands to insure we live in a world that is intolerant of buyers and sellers of human beings.

A 2nd Cup is a non-profit coffee shop doing their part to end human trafficking in Houston. I was in Houston a while back and wanted to go to a coffee shop. So, I texted my friend, Jeremy Shulse, and asked him which one to go to, and he told me to check out A 2nd Cup. I went and was blown away. I knew, as I was sitting their reading my book, that I needed to have them on the podcast. We talked all about their shop and what they are doing to end human trafficking.
