We’re finally here at the end of the longest year in the history of long, bad years. We barely played any games this year, so pulling together our favorite songs was a mighty task, but we weren’t going to let you walk away empty-handed. Also, let’s be real, it’s way harder to find ten good games than games with good music. Good game music is easy. You here me, Capcom?? EASY! THERE’S NO EXCUSE FOR MEGA MAN TO SOUND LIKE THIS!*ahem*Please enjoy these hours of music and best of lists, and I hope everyone has a great end to the year from hell. May the hell be lessened and the games better in 2019. Thanks everyone, for everything.A few notes: you can find our episode for the music from games we played for the first six months of the year on Abnormal Mapping 79. Live Simply, Give Generously (Year #3) What’s new this year? Our goal: We want to give more than just our money for kingdom causes, but our hearts, our relational investment, our gospel partnership, our service, and our prayers! • $20K matching (instead of $10K) to be used creatively for more than just a donation… • The Cube (for families) Money is OPPORTUNITY Luke 16: 1-13 The dishonest manager is not being commended for his ethics but his SHREWDNESS. Definition: Use this green paper to MAKE FRIENDS and build something that will LAST FOR ETERNITY. An irresistable offer: Trade the SMALL, UNRIGHTEOUS, AND BORROWED, for the MUCH, TRUE, AND YOURS FOREVER. The ultimate question Jesus is asking us is: Who is your master (and savior)?

Happy Mother's Day, Everyone!!!  An Eclectican Mother's Day, 2010Welcome one and all! There's little preamble needed for this episode, other than that I hope you enjoy this little musical tribute to mothers of all shapes, types, sorts & sizes (and hopefully that you do so with your mother. :)) There is some blues and a mother-daughter song put in here to send a "hello" out to my own mother, but there are also songs about Mother Earth and other types of mothers, as every mama is special. ^_^ May all of you have a splendid Mother's Day, and a big "thank you" to all the mothers out there, as well as all the fantastic people (male & female) who've done their own shares (if not moreso) of mothering in my life. :)I Love you, Mom.Yours Forever in Song,DJ Selchie♥Track ListPaul and Storm - Mother's Day SongMean Gene Kelton and the Die Hards - Sweet Mother BluesLance Larson - Happy Mother's DayKevin Reeves - MotherEzra Thomas - Momma's Song (or the Mother's Day Song)Roscoe Chenier - A Mother's LoveOona McOuat - Ancient MotherKelly's Lot - Mothers and DaughtersThe Alice Project - Happy Mother's DayKiva - Go NowBeautiful Background Music by; Poitin - Hot DaysBand Name = Band Web Site, Song Name = MySpace Band Page. HUGE props go out to The Podsafe Music Network, for supplying all but 2 songs on this show, and thanks also go to Kiva and Celtic MP3s Music Magazine, for supplying the rest of the songs which helped make this show what it is.-♥ DJSLastly, I wanted to honour mothers who have gone past, using an amazing poem I found on Oona McOuat's home page. For me, this piece not only honours my mother (as well as others I look up to) but also all of the sweet, strong, amazing & invaluable people who've helped shape me into being who I am; and who, in one way or another, have been mothers in my life. (Be they spiritual, familial, social, or otherwise.)Here's to the strong ladies; the role models past, present, and future! (Even if it's to be a matter of Self someday. ;)) From Mother Earth to the ants that traverse Her, thanks be to the Divine Feminine in all her Forms. ^_^Nanaby Siuox Patullo(From We'Moon 05, Mother Tongue Ink)It's hard to find the path now.Because I was following her.I was following her ways without knowingAnd now she is gone…Gone, with all her wisdom…No longer up ahead. No more silver streams of healing things she said. She can't tell me again.I have listened for the last time. Now I have to own it.Now I have to know it.Now I have to carry, and pass it on.Remember it.Look after it.She can't tell me again. It's hard to find the path now…But I must search amongst the roots.Because I know that…I can sense that…Someone is following me.Waiting for her wisdom.♥ ♥ ♥

CeltiSode 2010!Happy (Belated) St. Patrick's Day, Everyone!!First off, let me please humbly apologize for the HUGE delay that this episode has weathered. Thank you so much for your patience! I truly hope you find the show well worth the wait. :):) Whether you hear this on St. Paddy's itself or tune in during any other time of the year, I hope this day brings nothing but joy to you and yours, and that you enjoy this slightly super-sized episode as much as I do. (And that's after listening to it a million times during its arrangement, so that's saying something! ;D)This show is chock-full of fantastic music, made by some unbelievably skilled & gifted musicians! Some of this is work I've collected over many, many years (through places like myriad renaissance festivals, Thistle & Shamrock shows, and a good few Celtic festivals), while other pieces were acquired more recently; explicitly for play on this show. Celtic music has been a part of my heart for as long as I can remember, and I hope its soulfulness, passion and playfulness always will. :)Finding and playing the best of pod-safe Celtic music for you seems a superb way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day (musically speaking)- but for me, this music can make any day of the year an occasion. Plus, what a gift! I have found more phenomenal music in searching for pieces for this podcast than I can count! What a delight to've found sublime chanteuses like Maria Dunn, Beth Patterson and the ladies of Maidens IV!! And what a blessing to be able to share such personal favorites as The Rogues & Lothlorien, as well as a more recent favorite; the enthralling, enchanting power of Omnia! Each of these pieces hold their own magic and beauty, whether it be sweet & lilting or raucous and irreverent. And don't just relegate this lovely brand of tune-age to St. Paddy's! Celtic music goes beautifully at pubs, renaissance fairs, faerie-themed events, barn dances, and all kinds of events where merry-making is called for- even funerals on occasion- so keep it in mind the next time you go out with family & friends!Whether you're Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Manx or Scots-Irish (like yours truly), if you're English, German, Italian, Asian, Greek, Indian, American, Black Irish or French, may the luck of the Irish always be with you, and may you find your own pot of gold in pleasures big and small on this clover-filled, merrily-jigging day! (Just be careful with the Guinness, Harp Lager & Goldschläger, please! We want you around to celebrate the NEXT St. Paddy's, too! ;D)Now let me pick my fiddle back up again, and have a merry St. Pat's!! :)I Love you, Mom.Yours Forever in Song,DJ SelchieTrack ListPaul and Storm - Mother's Day SongMean Gene Kelton and the Die Hards - Sweet Mother BluesLance Larson - Happy Mother's DayKevin Reeves - MotherEzra Thomas - Momma's Song (or the Mother's Day Song)Roscoe Chenier - A Mother's LoveOona McOuat - Ancient MotherKelly's Lot - Mothers and DaughtersThe Alice Project - Happy Mother's DayKiva - Go NowBeautiful Background Music by; Poitin - Hot DaysBand Name = Band Web Site, Song Name = MySpace Band Page. (Be they spiritual, familial, social, or otherwise.) Here's to the strong ladies; the role models past, present, and future!
