Podcast about the latest video games news, releases and announcements
Welcome to the official Bomb Squad garage. We have everything you could ever need: prams, Pimm's fantasy novels , GameBoy colours and anime discussion. But is it anime? Andrew talks us through a very suspect episode of an ‘anime' that he has watched recently. We also discuss the state of cheap British snacks, HBO's The Last of Us, our first impressions of PSVR2 and Robin Hobb's excellent books. SIDENOTE: Hey, Chris here. I'm editing this podcast about 4 days after we recorded it and just felt like I needed to apologise for the first 23 minutes or so.
Bonjour! This time on Bomb Squad we discuss a range of odd topics (as usual). Our main focus is on new smash hit M3gan, the excellent black comedy/social satire Triangle of Sadness (later nominated for best picture at the Oscars after recording!) and the charmingly hilarious anime Kaguya Sama: Love is War! Oh Chris also brings up WWE for a fair bit. Sorry about that one. Oh and then he also brings up Starship Troopers and the ethics of adapting books.
Strap in everyone! There is quite a large tangent here about nose bleeds that takes up the first five minutes of the podcast. In fact, the whole podcast seems to be one large tangent at the moment! However, we do manage to talk about the 2022 Video Game Awards and some of the amazing announcements made there. Positive vibes only. Topics include: Hades 2, Ken Levine's Judas, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Earthblade, Death Stranding 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Diablo 4, Horizon Forbidden West Expansion, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon and, inevitably, Final Fantasy XVI. No cap.
Welcome to episode 50 of Bomb Squad! For this special episode, we invited a few of our best friends to come and recommend some of their favourite things to you. Our anime suggestion this week is the marvellous Made In Abyss.
This time on Bomb Squad, we get musical. Thank you for the music, the songs we're singing. Let's get musical, musical. We went to the incredible Royal Albert Hall to see Distant Worlds perform some of the most incredible pieces of Final Fantasy music from years past. We discuss some of our favourite musical moments in gaming as well as the tragic news of the death of Stadia.
