Over All in the GameAll in the Game is de podcast over games voor iedereen. Elke week hoor je minimaal één aflevering van All in the Game. Het komt allemaal aan bod in All in the Game. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Video games! There's a bunch of them to talk about this week, including Keeper, Dead Reset, Easy Delivery Co., Ball x Pit, Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted, a quick Steam Next Fest co-op roundup... and some Death Stranding 2. In the news, the sudden passing of Team Ninja's Tomonobu Itagaki, The Simpsons (maybe) in Fortnite, and probably more discussion of Street Fighter hamburgers than was really necessary.
Since we published our previous episode, Sony not only announced it was having a State of Play event, but that event has already happened. Thus, we have much to discuss throughout this lengthy episode, an unexpected surprise for the PlayStation faithful. In short, the most recent State of Play was a great showcase of nearly 30 upcoming PlayStation 5 games, with some PS4 and PSVR2 mixed in there, too. And -- for those that care -- more than a half-dozen of the games are PS5 console exclusive, nipping that entire argument in the bud. In the realm of Sony second party, we've learned about a Marvel-themed fighting game from Arc System Works called Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, while Tecmo Koei's Team Ninja is hard at work on Nioh 3. Elsewhere, we were given the first glimpse at IO Interactive's long-in-development James Bond game called First Light, a brand-new Lumines offering from the creators of Tetris Effect, the return of Capcom's seemingly-beleaguered Pragmata, something fresh from Grasshopper Manufacture called Romeo Is A Dead Man, a late-September release date for Silent Hill F, our first look at the sequel to Iga's Bloodstained, and -- yes indeed! -- confirmation of Final Fantasy Tactics coming to PlayStation in just a few months in the form of The Ivalice Chronicles. "No games?" Maybe if you don't like or play video games, perhaps. Other news this week includes our first look at Witcher 4 via a controversial UE5 tech demo, rumors of a native PS5 port for Red Dead Redemption 2, and more. Then: Listener inquiries! Should 'game length' be considered a spoiler? How do we feel about pinball video games? Do we ever mess with the PSN's 'activity cards' while playing?
In this in-depth review of Rise of the Ronin, we dive into the expansive open-world action RPG developed by Team Ninja. Set in the Bakumatsu era of Japan, the game combines historical fiction, intense samurai combat, and meaningful player choices that shape the narrative. The review covers the game's story, where players control a Ronin caught between competing factions, and its dynamic combat system inspired by Team Ninja's previous titles like Nioh. While the open world and RPG elements offer immense depth, the game is not without flaws, including pacing issues, AI quirks, and a cluttered map. Despite these, Rise of the Ronin offers an engaging and ambitious experience that stands out in the samurai genre, earning a solid 8/10 score for its immersive world, challenging combat, and player-driven narrative.

Microsoft and Xbox hit heavily in the last week with their annual Xbox Developer Direct showcasing their three known games and also announced the surprises of Ninja Gaiden 4 with Team Ninja, Koei Tecmo, and PlatinumGames, and the shadow drop of Ninja Gaiden II Black as well. Is this the best edition of the Developer Direct? How excited are Sean and Marc after seeing more on these games? Phil Spencer also did a few podcast interviews in which he both cemented and reiterated the direction of Xbox going forward, could this "everything is an Xbox" actually end up working out for the brand? And is there anything left to innovate on a console that could make the next Xbox worth purchasing? Plus, the Horizon MMO game is rumored to be canceled by NCSoft, Ted Price retires after 30 years at Insomniac Games and is replaced by three CEOs, Ubisoft has some big layoffs, Marc has impressions on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PC, and much more on this big news edition of Video Games 2 the MAX!You can also watch this episode in video form on the W2M Network Youtube Channel, please give us a like, comment on the episode, and give the channel a subscribe and follow as well: https://youtube.com/live/YWMR5K8SkPoListen as a podcast and give us a review on these platforms...

It was crafted by a team of ninja. There are a number of classic titles included in the Xbox Game Pass library and the "Surprise Me" button has seen fit to call upon one of those classics for this episode. Developed by Team Ninja and published by Tecmo Koei way back in 2009, this action-adventure game was originally a PS3 port of Xbox 360's Ninja Gaiden 2. While Tom is quite familiar with the game from his ancient GameStop days, it's pretty impressive that he never got around to playing it. We suppose that's fortunate because that lack of prior play left it on the table as a candidate to review for this show! Will it be worth the wait or will he learn that the years have been rather unkind? Join Tom as he connects with his cohost with the most Chris to kick open this crate and devour the nuggets of wisdom within! What do you think? Let us know! We're excited to welcome David Craddock, our Long Reads editor, as a special guest on this week's episode of Shack Together! David joins host Asif Khan and ghost John Benyamine, along with producer Joe Stasio, for an in-depth discussion on the latest gaming news and reviews. Most notably, we're all about Asif's recently published review of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Today's episode features a segment called "PMC: Playable Main Characters," where our hosts test their gaming knowledge by guessing game titles and characters based on cryptic clues. In our packed Story Time segment, we cover a range of topics, including previews of upcoming titles like Tales of the Shire and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and a comprehensive recap of the recent PlayStation State of Play event. We also cover industry news such as the SAG-AFTRA strike against Riot Games and the latest developments at OpenAI. And that's all for today's show! Thanks as always for listening and enjoy! “Any objections, Lady?” The infamous odd-one out. Nintendo SPD collaborated with Tecmo's Team Ninja for the Wii-exclusive follow-up to the Prime trilogy, with results that weren't greeted entirely enthusiastically by press or punters alike. Leon, Chris Worthington, Leah, Rich and community correspondents get to grips with Metroid: Other M - its quirky cameras and unintuitive interface, and perhaps most controversially, its character-changing portrayal of series hero, Samus Aran. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/podcast/cane_and_rinse_issue_629.mp3 Music featured in this issue:1. Team Ninja is trying their hand at open world gaming and we're here to tell you all about.
Despite Team Ninja's apparent unfamiliarity with real world horses... Brad is happy to report that the world may have it all wrong about Rise of the Ronin! Despite an all too familiar open-world design philosophy, the game has proved to be fun, addicting, and surprisingly competent in the storytelling department! Krispy returns to share his thoughts on Dragon's Dogma 2 and Chris Davis has continued his love affair with Vanillaware thanks to Unicorn Overlord. Finally, Nick talks about his first impressions of the titillating new action game, Stellar Blade, now that Sony has released the demo. Hey there trophy hunters! Welcome back to another episode of TTP! Every once in a while one of those games comes along that seems to be in the zeitgeist in our community. One of those games where many people appear to be playing it, and going back to it for trophies at the same time. We've had this before with things like Battlefield 1, Rogue Company, and most notably Fall Guys. This time though, that game is Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch's 2020 Samurai open world adventure game and its attached "Legends" game mode. At the same time, one of the biggest releases of the month comes to us in the form of Rise of the Ronin, developed by Team NINJA. The funny thing is, not only do these games share a similar aesthetic due to their setting and subject matter, but the trophy lists for these games appear to follow very similar structures. Is this due to the general philosophy behind designing open world games? Or is it due more to Sony's influence acting as publisher for Rise of the Ronin this go around? In addition to Rise of the Ronin the team also looks at a gorgeous and seemingly great indie game trophy list with Planet of Lana, a game that came to Xbox and Game Pass last year but is finally migrating over to PlayStation in April. Last but not least we examine and review Alone in the Dark's trophy list. The long dormant survival horror series developed by Pieces Interactive is back, and while the reviews are varied and run the full spectrum of opinions, perhaps the most cardinal sin the game commits is that upon launch it's platinum trophy is unobtainable. All of this and more is just behind the play button, thank you so much for listening, and happy gaming! =)
Team Ninja has been busy!In the past five years, the studio released Dead or Alive 6, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Nioh 2, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Their latest game, Rise of the Ronin, compiles everything they learned into their most ambitious project: a sprawling open-world samurai adventure set in a recreation of mid-19th century Japan.Rise of the Ronin takes the “something for everyone” approach, blending the exploration and loot systems of recent Assassin's Creed games with the quick-reflex sword fighting of the studio's Nioh series. This video game smoothie is quite delicious — if you can stomach the occasional funky chunk of game mechanics. In the back half, we talk about our favorite under-appreciated open-world games. Get the full list of games (and other stuff) discussed at www.besties.fan. Want more episodes? Join us at patreon.com/thebesties for three bonus episodes each month!
A new State of Play presentation -- arguably the best Sony has ever executed -- has given us a plethora of items to discuss on this week's all-new episode of Sacred Symbols. For starters, we finally have a release date for the amazing-looking second party PS5 exclusive action-RPG Stellar Blade, which we cannot wait to play. We also got a lengthy glimpse at Team Ninja's Rise of the Ronin, confirmation of a near-remake of Until Dawn from Ballistic Moon, a fresh look at Death Stranding 2 en route to PS5 in 2025, and the confirmation of a new, MGS-like Kojima series, presumably on PlayStation 6 (!). And there's lots of other news, too, including the first details concerning Firesprite's upcoming title, Project Heartbreak. Likewise, MLB: The Show 24 and Horizon: Forbidden West's PC port have both been dated, obscure PlayStation vehicular combat game Hardware Rivals may be returning, classic shooter Spec Ops: The Line has been delisted, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is driving people insane, leaks indicate we'll be playing Xbox 'exclusives' on PlayStation very soon, and much more. Finally: Listener inquiries! Are recent rumors of a new Sony handheld to be believed? Have Battle Passes ruined online gaming forever? Is cross-media the future no matter how much it's resisted?
