Your actions speak louder than your marketing. With Hispanic Heritage Month come many inauthentic marketing campaigns that claim cultural awareness, even as their actions say otherwise. When celebrating Latino culture and heritage, you can't just show up for a month and expect your Hispanic community to trust you. In this week's episode, Grace and Liel share practical tips for law firms to celebrate Latinx culture beyond Hispanic Heritage Month. As the U.S. Latino population steadily grows, you cannot do the bare minimum and expect your firm to stay relevant. Being authentic in your actions and marketing is the first step to building a strong connection with your Hispanic clientele. The discussion also looks at Google's announcement on their upcoming core update. As a rule of thumb, pay close attention to Google core updates, especially if you're doing Black Hat SEO tactics that will damage your website's ranking. In this week's episode, Grace and Liel look at the earning call results from Meta, Google, and Microsoft and review what this signals regarding marketing opportunities for law firms. The conversation discusses the transition from Google My Business to Google Business Profile and what this means for your law firm and another mass tort coming together. For tech companies, 2022 just hasn't been a great year. Particularly for Meta, which has seen drops at all levels and announced that things are about to get worse. But with higher daily active users than anticipated, Facebook and Instagram continue to be extremely valuable platforms for your law firm to be present. And with less competition, this is an opportunity not to be missed. Tesla recently recalled all employees back to the office, with the expectation of 40 hours a week o presential work. The reason is increased productivity, teamwork, growth, and alignment. Now you may agree or disagree with Elon Musk's take on what it takes to build great things. However, if one thing has been proven over the past two years, it is that you can have extraordinarily productive and engaged teams even if they are working remotely. And yes, this applies to Law Firms also. In this week's podcast, Grace and Liel discuss the power that team building and retreats can have in elevating your law firm's team performance at all levels and boosting productivity and profitability. Over the years, we have met and interviewed some of the fastest-growing law firms. The one common denominator that we have encountered amongst all of them is culture alignment. In this week's episode, attorney https://www.linkedin.com/in/rezatorkzadeh/ (Reza Torkzedeh) joins us for a conversation that explores the before and after his law firm experienced when he realized he had to up his game and start running his law firm like a Fortune 500 company. Reza is the author of two books, and one of the primary topics in his most recent book, The Lawyer as CEO, is company culture. We talk about what was the moment he understood that despite his belief that he was running a successful firm, he was slowing it down and even alienating its most important asset: his team. Mass Torts acquire their standing because they affect thousands of people. Despite this, the extent of public awareness for typical mass torts is depressingly low, owing to the fact that they do not attract significant media interest in addition to the corporate responses made towards them. However, every now and then, a Mass Tort will attract enough attention to go viral, as we witnessed this year. You've undoubtedly heard about the severe baby formula shortage across the country if you haven't been entirely off the grid for a month. The news has attracted worldwide attention as people try to figure out how the world's richest country could mishandle things so badly. In this episode, we explore why your law firm should be the one to answer this question for your community. In this podcast, we go through how the closure of one plant in Michigan has destabilized the baby formula supply chain throughout the country, why it happened, and what could have been done better to prevent it. We also discuss how product liability law firms are the greatest carriers of this message and where they should be joining the conversation. According to reports, a new Google privacy tool will allow users to follow brands they like and opt out of sensitive ad categories. The name of the tool? My Ad Center. Tune in and join the conversation if you want to hear how this tool will impact your law firm's Google Ads campaigns. Grace and Liel explore how My Ad Center will let users decide which topics, categories, and brands they are interested in. But, most importantly, it will allow users to opt-out of certain types of advertising and even provide live feedback on the ads they are being served, even on the search network. The conversation then jumps to analyze the results from a recent PPC survey on adopting Google Ads recommended automation. The results are not surprising to us, but they could be to you if you are not involved in the managing of your Google Ads account. Target Cost per Acquisition sounds wonderful as a strategy - you set the price, and Google gets you the conversion. What's not to love about it? Well, to start with, a conversion is not a case. In this episode, we will discuss news and updates for digital platforms, namely Google Ads, Google My Business, and the social media platform that is making Netflix and every other streaming platform shake, TikTok. Grace and Liel initiate their conversation regarding Google My Business's new redressal complaint form that gives users the ability to report a business as non-existent. A reminder of why firms shouldn't forget that there is way more to Google My Business than just reviews. It is expected to be a clear and accurate registry of everything related to your business. TikTok has only continued to grow and earn more popularity since the beginning of the year. Their marketing platform is keeping up with the platform growth and the success of its creators, more recently announcing the launch of Pulse: a new placement opportunity that could have your sponsored videos showing in between the 4% top-performing videos on the platform. It has been two years since our live MTMP spring session at the Wynn in Las Vegas. But this past week, over one thousand lawyers, paralegals, marketers, and industry people met at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas to share updates, network, and stand up for their values. Attorney https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-blom-08967143/ (Michael Blom) from the Lake Law Firm joins Grace and Liel to recap his experience at Mass Torts Made Perfect Spring Session 2022. He shares an overview of the presentation he gave covering co-counseling and an often overlooked program that grants up to $25,000 per employee to businesses impacted by the pandemic. For Michael, the most valuable moments at the conference occurred outside the conference rooms. Still, they were more frequent during one-on-one conversations with acquaintances, prospect-partners, and even as a special guest on Power of Attorney: Atty Don Wroleys TV Show. Mass Torts don't always start with a bang. Often the road to becoming a mass tort is long and unclear, and in this week's episode, we explore this journey by discussing two potential new mass torts that are getting started. Grace and Liel discuss how last year's voluntary recall of some aerosol personal care products deserves the attention of law firms searching for new mass tort opportunities. A Health Hazard Evaluation report said that Johnson & Johnson's tests detected levels of benzene 5 to 12 times above recommended limits set by two independent organizations. Consequently, the company issued a recall, and other companies then followed suit. This conversation explores how to start marketing for mass torts that have not yet shown their full potential or even got recognized as mass torts; being the first carries a lot of value, and that is an inexpensive risk worth taking.
