In Acts 4:23-31, the early disciples showed incredible confidence in prayer, transforming from fearful cowards to bold ambassadors for the Gospel. They praised God in the middle of serious opposition, and were able to reconcile as suffering is part of Gods plan. But how did this happen? How did these scaredy-cat fishermen turn into fearless preachers? How can we be less afraid of what people think about us and live the lives that God has designed for us? In this pod, Esther explains that the secret to living bold & unashamed is in letting the Holy Spirit rip in our lives. https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram

Like, you want to belong but you're left thinking, "how real can i really be here"? In this pod Will talks about why honesty is hard, why showing up as yourself is super important and how Psalm 139 has some good advice for doing both of these things in a healthy way. https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram
In this pod, Pete takes a deep dive into Galatians 5:25 and teaches us: Who God IS affects how we FEEL & BEHAVE. How to let the Holy Spirit work in every detail of our lives. How to experience peace in our relationships. How to live with joy in chaotic times. Allow God to show us know our unique worth & get rid of unhealthy comparison. https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram
Ever come to a big crossroads in your life and you need some divine direction? But when you pray or ask for Gods help He seems silent or absent? It can be frustrating. And a bit scary. You're not alone. Way back in the Old Testament the Israelites faced a similar situation. After having God show up in spectacular ways in the wilderness, He starts leading & speaking to them differently as they get towards their final destination. And that meant that they had to start cooperating with Him in new ways. In this pod well discuss: How God doesn't change but the way He leads us does. How we can make great decisions when we can't "hear" God like we used to. How God pulls us forward from a future perspective & how we can cooperate with His promises today for a better tomorrow. Gods Direction In The Desert Daily providing food through miracles (Manna) & water.(Exodus 16:12-15, Exodus 15:25) Daily direction through supernatural signs (Exodus 13:21) Gives them the law (Exodus 5:6-21) Supernatural deliverance from Pharoah (Red Sea) Exodus 14 Provided shoes & clothes that never wore out(Deuteronomy 29:5) Hand to mouth survival (Exodus 16) Gods Direction in The Promised Land Overcoming enemies and taking what God promised them (Joshua 11) Moves them to a “good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.” (Exodus 3:8) Gods direction then defeating their enemies with a plan of action (Joshua 11) Teaches them to govern & establish society (Joshua 13—21). “For I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.” Exodus 23:31 Building wealth & farming. Ownership & expansion. (Joshua 13-21) Youtube ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram
Christianity is full of some incredibly bold claims that mess with the boundaries of physics and science. The Creation Story, the Flood, the Virgin Birth are all great examples of important Christian Landmarks of the faith that mess with our rational minds. But right at the top of this list is the Resurrection account. Its carried in all four gospels and is central to the Christian Faith. Without the resurrection, there is no risen Jesus. Without the risen Jesus there is no legit claim to have conquered death. Without Christ's resurrection we would have no salvation from sin, and no hope for our own future resurrection. And without the resurrection of Jesus, there would be no Christian faith Kicking off in John 20, we'll look at 7 significant factors to consider as we figure out the believability of the Bibles Resurrection account: The Empty Grave The Folded Grave clothes The Holy Women Witnesses The Change In The Disciples Behaviour (especially Peter) The Changes Lives Of James (Jesus Brother) & Others The Public Appearances Of Jesus After His Resurrection The Conversion Of Paul Let us know what YOU think! :) Youtube ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram
In this pod, we talk about making money, the Holy Hustle, and the dangers of relying on "Jesus Take The Wheel" as a career plan. We look at the parable of the shrewd manager in Luke 16 and explain that Jesus is teaching us to be shrewd and make the most of opportunities to buy ourselves influence. Understanding God's will, which is built on a relationship of love and trust, will help us learn to take agency and make a difference in people's lives through the gifts and opportunities God gives us. To be shrewd like the manager, we must learn to map out scenarios & potential outcomes, access skill-building, an adding smart friends to our lives and pushing into what He is blessing. God wants to increase your sphere of influence because He wants to save and help people come into His Kingdom. He wants to make you an example of His grace so that when people see you they think, "how did she do that?" and it will cause them to wonder & reach out to God for themselves. Have you ever levelled up in your life? You got a promotion, a new relationship, a great opportunity. You're buzzing, you're excited, this is GREAT! BUT you know that if you tell certain people, they're NOT gonna be happy for you. Their invested in the way you USED to be & your new blessing is gonna be a problem for them. Instead of being happy to share your great news, you're left wondering how you can keep it on the downlow, so they won't get upset. Do you disrupt a relationship for something you know will be better? Or do you forget about your new thing and do things the old way? In Luke 6, we read of two examples of Jesus messes with religious tradition to help people in trouble. The Pharisees, the religious rulers & community leaders & people with most invested in the religious tradition, were ticked. And they wanted to kill Jesus, for messing with their traditions. Wow. In this pod, we talk about the importance of resistance & holy disruption in Jesus's life (and our lives too) We'll look at great disruptors in church history - Martin Luther, Harriet Tubman, John Wesley, Martin Luther King Jr & Dietrich Bonhoeffer. And ask the question - What traditions should we remove, replace or recycle to help people connect with Jesus in a life giving way? And if you're wondering whose permission you need to do this kind of thing, the answer is simple: If Jesus is messing with it, it's fair game. In this pod, Dan Belshaw (Pastor of Light Church) discusses the theme of doubt in the Christian life, using Matthew 14:22-33 as the biblical passage for the talk. Doubts can paralyze us and Christians are not immune to them. But it doesn't have to be like that. Dan offers some perspective on making conviction-based decisions and committing to decision-making rooted in God's word. He says that doubts are not inherently bad, & can reveal areas in which our faith needs strengthening and are a mint opportunity to take them to Jesus who can give us HIS perspective. In this pod, Esther talks about a guy in the Bible called Zacchaeus, who was proper desperate to see Jesus & find out what He was really like for himself. In the Bible story in Matthew 25, Jesus honours and respects his curiosity with a life changing opportunity. Esther explains that whatever questions or curiosity we have about Jesus, He will always respect and honour our questions too. The strength of our relationship with Jesus depends on our curiosity to know more about Him.
Have you ever done something you felt you "should" do but didn't really WANT to do? Have you ever worked a job, had a relationship or even went to a church that you felt you "should" commit to, but something inside was like "Nah!" This is an example of what psychologists call coginitive dissonance- when our behaviour is inconsistent with our thoughts and beliefs. It can feel like we're in stress & anxiety when we live like this. Pete & Matt talk about some helpful practical ways we can work through cognitive dissonance without blowing our lives up... After getting robbed at gun point as a teenager, I held a serious grudge against my attacker for 18 years. This bottled up & unresolved anger made me feisty, defensive and cost me relationships. And almost cost me my job. In this Pod, we'll talk about why Jesus says forgiveness is important and try to answer to top ten most asked questions on forgiveness. And why we all need a friend like my friend Mike... Matthew 5:22-24 Ephesians 4:27 Youtube ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram

10 things you need to know BEFORE you plant a church If you're thinking about church planting this year or sometime in the future
-What we've got planned for Kingdom Company Church in 2022
In this podcast we ask TWO important leadership questions 1. Who's permission are you waiting for to do what you know God is asking you to do? 2. What if permission from that person NEVER COMES? We talk about Bible book of Esther, the story of a woman who saved a nation, who leveraged her powerful position on behalf of others but who DEFINITELY had to challenge power structures & protocols to do it! Youtube ▶️ https://www.youtube.com/kingdomcompanychurch Instagram
In this podcast we talk about ⤵️ How to find a great church, what does a great church looks like and why in-person gatherings still matter! Why we should gather together in a post-lockdown society? Why is gathering so important? In a time when people are reframing their faith & community spaces we ask - what does a healthy church look like & why should I join one? What should we expect to GET for a relational investment? How do we transition well & and face the future with hope ?
What should we be doing as church leaders now to prepare for the future? What new skills will future church leaders need to possess to lead effectively? How do we prepare now for the changing landscape of church and culture? We can all agree church leadership culture is changing & it's needed, In this video we discuss the shifts and some ideas of what new skills we are all going to have to learn to lead with courage into the brightest future. In this Podcast Matt and Clare discuss values, why we need them, how we wrote them and why it's hard to do church without them. We chat about our fears around collaboration and how this became the best thing we did. A vision statement describes what the church will become in the future whereas values define how people in the church should behave. It provides a guideline for decision making. We wrote our values together after months of discussion and here's the outcome https://kingdomcompany.co/about-us/ We hope this helps you build a church and life you are proud of helping others find and follow Jesus Matt & Clare Useful links ... Don't go another day feeling confused and unsure how to best utilise your personal digital presence. In the UK over 51million people are active on social media, making 2.5billion+ Google searches each day. How can you influence them with the Good News? In this podcast episode Matt & Clare encourage you to not miss out on this unique opportunity to influence people and help you get unstuck, show up and stand out on social media. Thanks for listening Matt & Clare Useful links ...
We keep hearing this myth "DIGITAL CHURCH ISN'T REAL COMMUNITY THOUGH, RIGHT?" In this episode we talk freely about our POV on hybrid church, what we love what we are disappointed about. How our son going to university made us realise this is the end of some things. We chat around making real friends on social media, are they true friends? Why it would be beneficial to ditch vanity metrics, and toxic competitive church habits & painful endings. We also circle around ... "Are you worried about What's left over?" "What even is a church anymore?" "What's the point of me going to church anymore?" OR secretly saying "Help, I don't actually want to go back to church after lockdown" "I'm disappointed with my church, I want to try somewhere new". Our conclusion is THE FUTURE CHURCH needs to be an active learning environment creating transformational followers, the focus for a long time has been about leadership and developing leaders. Church has an opportunity to develop transformational follower-ship in a post COVID culture, live out the great commission and walk alongside people. THE FUTURE CHURCH is hybrid, COVID-19 has levelled us and we need to rebuild with new methods. Could it be our digital presence is a modern day 'spire' , when people were in trouble & looking for answers to the big question in life they would know where to go because the spire would stand proud. If you don't show on social media how will people still know where to go? let us know what you think or what your experience of church RN is in the comments Thanks for watching Matt & Clare If you enjoyed this...
