This episode is an insight into the journey 3 friends took in October 2021 – Matt Hooper, Pete Gardner and Rich Martin. With decades of friendship in the bank, we decided to call each other on a WhatsApp call every day for 30 days and confess our sins to each other. We wanted to see what would happen – we had all read and heard about other people doing something similar, we all had a desire to be more open and transparent but none of us had ever done a 30-day journey like this before. We essentially wanted to see the scripture James 5:16 in action: James 5:16 (NIV) Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. It's honest, raw, and was really good fun to produce! I hope it helps you in your journey. The Power of God - How can we see more of it at work in our daily lives? Pastor Rich Martin explores some of the incredible events in the book of Acts and shares some thoughts on how the power of God moved then, and how it can move now. Scriptures: Hebrews 8:10-12, Acts3:1-10, Acts 4: 1-31
A question Rich often invites people to ask is, "Holy Spirit, what are you inviting me into today?" Usually, it's small and meaningful things rather than massive visions. So Rich encourages us to go for the new V. Forget about being part of Gen X, Gen Y or Gen Z. What's the new V? Listen to Rich's challenging and inspiring talk to find out.
So this is a bonus episode with myself (woop), and is based on a staff training session I did for a UK church. Over the last 12 months, I've had the thought regarding 'Vision Driven' churches or ministries and how they are having to move to a new 'V' - Values. It's a 20min unpacking of a thought and the video version is on YouTube (search Rich Martin podcast) I hope you enjoy it! --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rich-martin/message

As our technology stack continues to evolve and the demands on our IT systems grow, we need to become increasingly smarter with the way we deliver it. Increasingly we want all elements of our technology infrastructure to be software-driven, we want intelligence about performance so we can use it to drive and automate change. However, one area that is often not considered is the area of networking. Networking is at the very heart of modern infrastructure but often we still see very traditional approaches to how it is designed and deployed. Why is that and how do we change it? That is the topic of this week’s show as I catch up with Rich Martin, Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at intelligent network automation specialists Intential. Join us as we discuss. • The networking bottleneck in IT automation. • Why can’t we “spin-up” networking? • How do we modernise when there a lack of strategy, skills and tools? • The COVID effect. • The problems with a traditional approach. • The cloud networking quandary! • Automation “sprawl”. • Cloud networking, like a network but different! • How networking is evolving. • Building a network automation strategy. • What Itential do. • Building a network platform. • Tips for your network modernisation approach I find network automation an interesting part of the evolution of the way we deliver technology and one that is beginning to change. I think Itential is offering some strong solutions in helping enterprises to evolve their network automation capabilities and are well worth checking out. Taking the initiative over a quiet month, Terry took his recorder along to the 2012 O Scale National Convention and recorded a little audio early with Rich Martin of the New York Society of Model Engineers. Through the course of the convention, Terry talked with David Schneider about his company and 19th Century railroading. Terry took some time with Brain Scace to discuss the important topic of layout design elements with modern day careers and movement. Brian also talked about his returning passion of 7mm UK modeling. Dave Vaughn explains how to have multiple heritage layouts through extraction to redesign and combination. By chance, Terry catches up with Tony Koester to talk about the NMRA and the future of the hobby.
