Gwinnett Sheriff's office condemns Memphis officers involved in Tyre Nichols's death

The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office said it is sending its condolences to the family of Tyre Nichols and will recognize the right of Gwinnettians who chose to peacefully protest — but it insists the events that led to Nichols death in Memphis, Tenn., do not represent all law enforcement. The sheriff's office issued a statement on Friday night after Memphis police released body cam videos showing police officers kicking, beating and pepper spraying Nichols during a traffic stop on January 7. Nichols later died from his injuries and five Memphis police officers were fired for their roles in the incident, and then charged with second-degree murder this past week. “The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office is saddened by the tragedy that resulted in the death of Mr. Tyre Nichols,” Gwinnett Sheriff's Office officials said in a statement. “We send our heartfelt prayers and sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and close associates of Mr. Nichols. “The actions that occurred on January 7 are unacceptable and do not reflect law enforcement standards and procedures. Although this incident took place in another state, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office acknowledges the hurt, anger, and distress it has caused.” The release of the videos Friday night had law enforcement across the nation preparing to face protests over the Memphis police officer's treatment of Nichols, but also concerned that the protests could turn violent. Nichols family has urged people upset over his death to only protest peacefully. Half of the Gas South District — including its ballroom — was closed in 2022 because of a major renovation. But the convention facility still managed to have its best year financially in its three-decade history, according to officials at the center. The Gwinnett County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors received an update on the Gas South District's 2022 financial situation as well as event attendance this past Wednesday. What they heard from Jennifer Silas, who is the center's executive director of finances, is that net revenues hit an all-time high last year. Even if grant funding that the Gas South District had received during the pandemic was taken out of the equation, the center's revenues last year would still be one of its best years financially in its history. The Gas South District, which is set to open the newly renovated portion of its building on Wednesday, had net revenues of nearly $5.1 million last year. The Gas South District brought in $8.3 million from event revenues and nearly $6.8 million in other operating revenues, for a total of nearly $15.1 million in gross income. When the center's officials were budgeting for 2022, by comparison, they only planned to bring in $9.6 million last year. On the expense side, the Gas South District had $10 million in expenses last year. And, that was with only half of the Gas South District being open to the public while the other half, including the ballroom, was stripped down to its skeleton and rebuilt. The renovated portion of the center is set to reopen to the public with a grand opening celebration this week. The first events in the renovated ballroom are set to take place on Thursday and Friday. Meadowcreek junior Champ Thompson committed Saturday to the Clemson University football program. The 6-foot-2, 275-pound defensive lineman is a four-star recruit in the 247Sports composite rankings, which have him as the Number 34 player in Georgia and the No. 241 player nationally. He was a second-team all-county and first-team all-region selection last season for Meadowcreek's state playoff team. He had 38 tackles (seven for losses) and three sacks. He is the son of former Atlanta Falcons lineman Michael Thompson. He joins a Tigers program that has several sons of NFL players, including former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson's son, Jamal Anderson Junior, who will be a freshman linebacker this season at Clemson after a stellar career at Mill Creek. State Senator Nikki Merritt of Grayson, will lead the Gwinnett County Senate Delegation for the next two years while two freshmen state senators will join her on the delegation's executive board. The county's Senate delegation elected its executive board on Wednesday. Merritt will serve as the chairwoman while state Senator Nabilah Islam from Lawrenceville, and Shawn Still, from Norcross, will serve as the vice-chairwoman and secretary respectively. In addition to Merritt, Islam and Still, the other members of Gwinnett's Senate delegation include Senators Kim Jackson, from Stone Mountain; Clint Dixon from Buford; Gloria Butler, also of Stone Mountain; Bill Cowsert, from Athens; and Sheikh Rahman, from Lawrenceville. Mountain View's wrestling team won the North Metro Invitational at Brookwood on Saturday. The Bears finished with a 131 points to finish ahead of runner-up Lassiter's 123.5 and third-place Marietta's 114.5. They also won the junior varsity division. Ryan Rodgers and C.J. Beckford-Duffus were Mountain View's weight class champions, while Dylan Martin, Anderson Kesinger  and Lex Hennebaul  had second-place finishes. Gilbert Balbuena of Brookwood was the 120 champion, Dacula's Ethan Ross took first at 126 and Parkview's Antoine Glasgow won at 138. A couple known for their philanthropy will be recognized by the Gwinnett County Public Library System in March for their efforts to support libraries and the broader community. Clyde and Sandra Strickland have been named Public Library Champions as part of the 2022 Georgia Public Library Awards. The Gwinnett library system said it will hold a celebration at 11 a.m. on March 21 at the Duluth library branch to honor the couple. "The Stricklands are huge advocates for the library system," Gwinnett County Public Library Director of Development and Community Partnerships Jason DiFranco said. "Their focus is advancing education and literacy, so it has always been a perfect marriage for us. Clyde Strickland founded Metro Waterproofing, which serves the construction industry in the southeast, and the couple has, among other things, been big supporters of Northside Hospital Gwinnett, where the heart center is named in their honor. Library system officials said the couple has: Provided funding for the Career Online High School program, which works with people who have aged out of public schools but have not yet graduated from high school Funded a New Start Entrepreneurship Incubator program, which has helped 38 formerly incarcerated people start their own business Funded scholarships to help library staff complete their education Donated $1 million to support programming at the Hooper-Renwick themed library in Lawrenceville, which will honor the legacy of the Hooper-Renwick School, which was the school most Black children in Gwinnett attended before the desegregation of schools.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

John has over fifteen months (as of Jan 2021) of sobriety and recently experienced the loss of his job. Without a program of recovery, he would likely have used this as an excuse to drink or fall deep into self-pity. Today, he shares how he uses the program, and his support network to view this as an opportunity for growth. John has a great program and I'm grateful to help share his story today on the concept of accepting our present circumstances.ACCEPTING OUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCESOur very first problem is to accept our present circumstances as they are, ourselves as we are, and the people about us as they are. This is to adopt a realistic humility without which no genuine advance can even begin. Again and again, we shall need to return to that unflattering point of departure. This is an exercise in acceptance that we can profitably practice every day of our lives. Provided we strenuously avoid turning these realistic surveys of the facts of life into unrealistic alibis for apathy or defeatism, they can be the sure foundation upon whichincreased emotional health and therefore spiritual progress can be built.AS BILL SEES IT, p. 44When I am having a difficult time accepting people, places or events, I turn to this passage and it relieves me of many an underlying fear regarding others, or situations life presents me. The thought allows me to be human and not perfect, and to regain my peace of mind.Support the showNeed the Daily Reflection Book? Notes: Death of the narrator? Apple unveils suite of AI-voiced audiobooks | The Guardian (01:14) Apple has quietly launched a catalog of books narrated by artificial intelligence in a move that may mark the beginning of the end for human narrators. The audiobook market has exploded in recent yearSales last year jumped 25%, bringing in more than $1.5bn Insiders believe the global market could be worth more than $35bn by 2030. In recent months, Apple approached independent publishers as potential partners, but not all agreed to participate.Publishers involved in the project were required to sign non-disclosure agreements This comes directly from Apple's site on digital narration:“Apple Books digital narration brings together advanced speech synthesis technology with important work by teams of linguists, quality control specialists, and audio engineers to produce high-quality audiobooks from an ebook file.” More information that is of interest on their site:Distribution solely via Apple Books and to public/academic libraries  Publisher/author retains audiobook rights, and there are no restrictions on producing and distributing other versions of the audiobook  Some don't see the point of AI narration, and that audiobooks are not all about rapidly producing the content, take Carly Watters statement for instance:“Companies see the audiobooks market and that there's money to be made. They want to make content. But that's all it is. It's not what customers want to listen to. There's so much value in the narration and the storytelling.” Producing an audiobook with a human voice can take weeks and can cost publishers thousands of dollars. The draw of AI promises to significantly cut the costs. Apple's launch into AI audiobooks is rather interesting especially with the battle going on with Spotify in the recent months.Spotify announced plans to bring 300,000 audiobook titles to customers, and has clashed with Apple over app store policies after its own app was rejected three times. First "virovore" discovered: An organism that eats viruses | New Atlas (11:21) Researcher John DeLong at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln wanted to find out if there were any microbes which actively ate viruses.Could a microbe exist on a diet of viruses? They do contain stuff like nucleic acids, a lot of nitrogen and phosphorous Virus exclusive diet termed “virovory.” DeLong and his team collected samples of pond water, isolated different microbes, and then added large amounts of chlorovirus, a freshwater inhabitant that infects green algae. The team tracked the population size of the viruses and the other microbes And sure enough, one particular microbe seemed to be snacking on the viruses – a ciliate known as Halteria.Ciliates are single-celled organisms that, at some stage in their life cycle, possess cilia, short hairlike organelles used for locomotion and food gathering. Halteria populations grew by about 15 times within two days, while chlorovirus levels dropped 100-fold. These viruses play an important part in shaping freshwater environments in the way that they recycle carbon and other nutrients and this recycling can prevent the energy from reaching other, larger forms of life. If something is consuming these viruses then that means those nutrients get passed up the food chain instead of being recycled The researchers plan to go back to the pond to see if virovory is occurring in the wild, not just a lab setting. This startup makes high-tech protein from thin air by using solar energy | Interesting Engineering (15:21) A Finnish food tech company, Solar Foods, has created an alternative protein - made of microbes cultured with electricity and air.Now in 2023, they plan to build its first commercial-scale factory near Helsinki, Finland, that can make food directly from carbon dioxide Alternative protein = Solein, tested in a pilot factory for two years. It resembles yellow powder that can be added to food.  Pasi Vainikka, CEO of Solar Foods, told New Scientist that the factory will be able to produce 100 tons per year, which will suffice for four or five million meals. Recently, Business Finland approved a €34 million grant funding to Solar Foods, making it the largest public grant funding for cellular agriculture in the world. Vainikka told Food Matters Live:“We are here to replace animal-based nutrition, that's the big mission I would say, for all plant-based and similar companies … The problem in the food system is, broadly speaking, [using] animals and industrialized animal keeping. Like it or not, it's a fact. Growing and harvesting that kind of nourishment with significantly fewer resources [and without animals] is what we're doing."  Created by first selecting a soil sample that is examined for “best-quality organisms”. The suitable microbes are then placed in a bioreactor where gas fermentation occurs. It feeds on dissolved hydrogen, and carbon dioxide is split from water by electricity during the process.  Provided with mineral nutrients that permit it to make amino acids, carbohydrates, lipids, and vitamins.  Effects of formerly incurable liver disease may be reversed with drug | Jpost (22:56) A drug may have been found to combat the effects of Alagille syndrome, which has been considered to be an incurable liver disease.  Alagille syndrome is a genetic syndrome that can affect the liver and other parts of the body. The liver problems result from having fewer small bile ducts than normal in the liver. Leading to bile building-up inside the liver, which in turn causes liver scarring and damage. Affects more than 4,000 babies that are born every year. A drug known as NoRA1 activates the Notch pathway that helps orchestrate fundamental biological processes. In the liver, the Notch pathway plays a role in the development and maintenance of the liver during embryonic development and in the adult liver. Dysregulation of the Notch pathway has been implicated in the development of liver cancer and other liver diseases.  Animals with mutations in the same gene affected in Alagille see the NoRA1 drug increasing the Notch signaling and triggering duct cells to regenerate in the liver. Important because it could reverse liver damage. This New Shock-Absorbing Gel Can Withstand Supersonic Impacts | Smithsonian Magazine (26:33) Current problems with Body Armor:Doesn't absorb a projectile's kinetic energy Bulky One time use once struck with a projectile Researchers at the University of Kent in England may have developed a promising new solution to these problems.Using a protein called talin, scientists have created a material that can absorb the impact of projectiles—even those flying faster than the speed of sound. Acts a natural shock absorber Talin molecules contain structures that, when put under tension, unfold and stretch out. Once the tension is released, they fold back up again. Can do this shock-absorbing maneuver over and over without harming the cell. Testing the effectiveness:Scientists placed the gel on an aluminum plate and fired tiny basalt (type of rock) particles and larger bits of aluminum at it. Small projectiles traveled at speeds of more than 3,350 miles per hour (3x the speed of a handgun bullet) It absorbed the projectile's shockwave, successfully protected the plate, and captured the particles without destroying them. Paper co-author Jennifer Hiscock stating:“Our material perfectly caught and ‘cuddled' with the projectile … keeping it beautifully preserved.” Plenty of expected uses and unexpected:Stop a bullet without destroying it Capturing space debris—without destroying it.  Maybe one day reap the shock-absorbing benefits of talin in their running shoes, vehicle bumpers and cell phone cases.

Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: Animal Advocacy Africa's 2022 Review - Our Achievements and 2023 Strategy, published by AnimalAdvocacyAfrica on December 23, 2022 on The Effective Altruism Forum. 1. Summary Animal Advocacy Africa (AAA) works to empower animal advocates who are interested in or are working to reduce farmed animal suffering in African countries. AAA shares knowledge, provides connections, and helps advocates build the skills to run an impactful animal advocacy organisation. This year, we: Helped 17 partner organisations raise a total of ~US$83,000. We discuss how much of this we think may have counterfactually happened without AAA's support in Section 3. Provided strategic advice and feedback to 15 organisations, and influenced at least 2 of our partners to adopt high-impact interventions, with one adopting a high-impact intervention in preventing or slowing the growth of industrial animal agriculture in Uganda and one leading a cage-free campaign in Ghana. Helped connect at least 6 of our partners to influential figures and organisations in the global Effective Altruism (EA) and animal advocacy movements, with the aim of improving the visibility of the farmed animal advocacy movement in Africa. Released two research reports on farmed animal advocacy in the African and Asian contexts. Next year we intend to: Continue our current capacity-building programme, with changes and improvements made based on feedback and monitoring & evaluation findings. Start regranting funds to especially promising African advocates and organisations to encourage effective programming and interventions that we think are most likely to help farmed animals in African countries. Identify evidence-based strategies and work with local advocates to mitigate the rise of intensive animal farming in Africa as much as possible. Our primary bottleneck, and that of our partner organisations, remains a lack of funding. Our total funding gap for 2023 is $290,000. We intend to mitigate this by: Better emphasising the importance, neglectedness and tractability of farmed animal advocacy work in Africa. This includes improving overall visibility of the movement in Africa by highlighting the work that organisations are doing to funders and the wider international movement, and facilitating networking and connections between African organisations and international advocates. Better demonstrating our added value to African groups and to the African movement more broadly. Consistently tracking our progress and showcasing monitoring & evaluation findings more clearly for potential donors. Relatedly, better highlighting our theory of change with key cruxes validated. Hiring a full-time Fundraising & Communications staff. Increasing and improving outreach to high-net-worth individuals who may be interested in supporting farmed animal welfare in Africa. Registering in the United States to qualify for various matching opportunities offered during Giving Season. 2. Why farmed animal advocacy in Africa? We believe that farmed animal advocacy in Africa is a highly impactful project to work on for several reasons: The human population of Africa is expected to nearly triple by 2100. Meat production in Africa has nearly doubled since 2000, and this rate is expected to increase to match the growing population and growing wealth of the continent. Of all continents, Africa has the highest growth rate in aquatic farming. Farmed animal advocacy is incredibly neglected in Africa — in 2019, Open Philanthropy estimated that only $1 million went towards farmed animal advocacy work in Africa per year. Building the farmed animal advocacy movement in Africa before intensive animal farming is locked-in may improve the lives of millions of animals in the near- and long-term future and potentially prevent millions of animals from being born in factory fa...

God Reminds Those Who Want a Deeper Relationship with Him of His Expectations for Their Management of His Resources He Provided Them MESSAGE SUMMARY: As followers of Jesus, we want to go deeper in our personal relationship with God. However, God tells some of us that we must start being more responsible for the material things that He has provided before we can go deeper into spiritual revelations. Also, many of us, while seeking to know the Lord better, want to know His will in our lives and for the World. At the same time, we want to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In Mathew 6:19-21, Jesus is telling us that all that we have, which we tend to call our own, really comes from God. God has expectations for our good management of His resources in our personal relationship with Him: “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.".   God tells us that we are to be good managers of His gifts; however, in Luke 12:19-21, Jesus completes a parable about a man who thought that all his assets were his and not from God: “'And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.' But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?' So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”. Pointedly, God is telling us that if we cannot be responsible for the earthly treasures, which He has provided us, then how can we be responsible for His Spiritual treasures that He wants to provide us as we seek to deepen our personal relationship with Him?   TODAY'S PRAYER: Surely it is God who saves me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. For the Lord is my stronghold and my defense, and He is my savior. Therefore, you shall draw water with rejoicing from the springs of salvation. And on that day, you shall say, “Give thanks to the Lord and call upon His Name; make His deeds known among the peoples; see that they remember that His Name is exalted.”. Amen. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, because I am filled with the Holy Spirit, I will not be controlled by my Anxiety. Rather, I will walk in the Spirit's fruit of Peace. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22f). We have been watching as God's plan to send His Lamb into the world has unfolded.  When man fell into sin in the Garden of Eden, God made a promise that a Redeemer would one day come.  This Redeemer would come as the Savior of sinners.  All through the Old Testament, God worked to bring this event to pass.  Every sacrifice, every ritual of Jewish worship, every thing God did was moving steadily toward the moment when the Lamb of God would enter this world and pay the price to save men from their sins.   I think of one occasion when a broken hearted father named Abraham walked up a mountain side with his only son Isaac.  He was taking that son to the top of that mountain to offer him to the Lord as a burnt offering.  On the way up that mountain, Isaac asked his father Abraham about what they were doing.   Here is what was said that day: “And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid it upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.  And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?  And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together,” Genesis 22:6-8  Our text tells us about the night that father's promise was fulfilled.  It was also the moment when God's promise to send His Redeemer into the world was fulfilled. As we look in on the events of that special night 2,000 years ago, we can learn something about how God provided His Lamb.

EP285: This week's guest is Annie Leo, the founder of “Paws for Change”, a registered Australian charity who opened Bali's first senior specific safe house for rescue dogs and offers rehabilitation and mobility facilities for special needs dogs. Annie started this charity as a passion project after her relationship with her long time partner ended, along with her job because she worked for him. Interestingly, a Facebook post she saw kicked off her new purpose in life.  In this episode, Annie and I talk about: The Facebook post that caused her to take one small step that changed her life. How her purpose evolved from curiosity to starting her own charity. How she started her ‘Paws for Change' non-profit.   Virtual dog adoption.  Annie believes that we all have a purpose and something important to give. Dogs are a life-long passion and now her second half purpose but she's convinced that everyone has some kind of passion that will light their own unique spark. She also believes that if something is bothering you, you should make an effort to change it because no matter how insignificant you think it will be, it will make a difference. One of her realizations from starting this dog rescue journey at the age of 50 is that everything in her life happened for a reason and added up to her being exactly where she's meant to be, at the right time it's meant to be. “Sometimes you just have to trust the journey.” - Annie Leo   To learn more about Annie and her work, you can go to: Website: https://www.pawsforchange.org.au/  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pawsforchangeau  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pawsforchangeau/    If you'd like to connect or reach out to ME, you can find me at: Email: lauriewright@notyouraveragegrandma.com     Website: www.notyouraveragegrandma.com           Facebook: www.facebook.com/LaurieColvinWright           Instagram: www.instagram.com/not_your_average_grandma           Youtube: www.youtube.com/c/NotYourAverageGrandma     Note: Not Your Average Grandma is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

US Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced today that she was changing her party affiliation from Democrat to unaffiliated. POLITICO had the scoop: Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema is changing her party affiliation to independent, delivering a jolt to Democrats' narrow majority and Washington along with it. In a 45-minute interview, the first-term senator told POLITICO that she will not caucus with Republicans and suggested that she intends to vote the same way she has for four years in the Senate. “Nothing will change about my values or my behavior,” she said. Provided that Sinema sticks to that vow, Democrats will still have a workable Senate majority in the next Congress, though it will not exactly be the neat and tidy 51 seats they assumed. They're expected to also have the votes to control Senate committees. And Sinema's move means Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) — a pivotal swing vote in the 50-50 chamber the past two years — will hold onto some but not all of his outsized influence in the Democratic caucus. Meanwhile, Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri says his GOP needs to "listen to working people" and create "something new." Hawley wrote in the Washington Post: For decades, Republican politicians have sung a familiar tune. On economics, they have cut taxes on the big corporations and talked about changing Social Security and Medicare — George W. Bush even tried to partially privatize Social Security back in 2005. In the name of “growth,” these same Republicans have supported ruinous trade policies — such as admitting China to the World Trade Organization — that have collapsed American industry and driven down American wages. This tax-and-trade agenda has hollowed out too many American towns by shipping jobs overseas. It has made it almost impossible to raise a family on one income and to find a good-paying job that doesn't require a college degree. Our trade deficit with China has cost this country 3.7 million good jobs, while a crisis of drug overdose deaths — particularly among working Americans — has ravaged many of the same communities that have suffered most from deindustrialization. It has all made it harder to stay rooted in your hometown or region. That's not a record of success. Republican politicians have frequently advocated higher immigration levels and four years ago went all in for soft-on-crime “sentencing reform.” They have done nothing on Big Tech. This record doesn't appeal to working people. Just the opposite: It repels them. If Republicans want to be a majority party, now is the time to change course. Republicans will secure the generational victories they crave only when they come to terms with this reality: They must convince a critical mass of working-class voters that the GOP truly represents their interests and protects their culture. The red wave didn't land in part because voters who cast a ballot for Barack Obama and later supported Donald Trump — voters who likely disapprove of Joe Biden and the Democrats' agenda — chose to stay home.    Get exclusive content here!: https://thepetekalinershow.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome back everyone to Season 8 of One For The Road, its so great to be back! I've got Kate Taylor joining me for the first episode back of this season.Kate is a writer who has lived in London, New York and Rome and in her own words, has ‘decided to give sobriety a go because I've drunk my share, and half of yours'. After drinking for over 20 years, pretty much on a daily basis, Kate decided she needed to quit and recorded a drunken message to herself one night that would turn out to be instrumental in changing the course of her life. This episode of One For The Road is sponsored by https://tweaklife.co.uk/ Further information and links attached below. If you want to connect with me via Instagram, you can find me on the instahandle @Soberdave https://www.instagram.com/soberdave/or via my website https://davidwilsoncoaching.com/Provided below are links for services offering additional help and advice and for Kate.https://www.instagram.com/walking_the_straight_line/https://www.drinkaware.co.uk/advice/alcohol-support-serviceshttps://nacoa.org.uk/Show producer- Daniella Attanasio-MartinezInstagram - @TheDaniellaMartinezThis season's podcast is sponsored by a great new start up called Tweak Life. Now I know compliance is not a word that generally sparks a lot of excitement, however, it is something that is extremely important for both the business owner and us as individual clinicians to protect ourselves and our licenses. That's why this week on The Amplify OT Podcast, I am talking about the False Claims Act. In this episode I cover: The impacts that failure to follow rules and regulations has on you as a licensed professional. What is the OIG and how some facilities are getting busted by them for filing incorrect claims to get a higher payout. Important things you should know in regards to the false claims act and how to protect yourself from legal implications. The responsibility you as a clinician has to understand the laws yourself instead of relying on your facility. Thanks for listening!
