In this episode, I believe that you will find this conversation helpful when you feel like life is starting to head you into overdrive. Today, I sit down with Deborah Rankin, a writer, health coach, and registered dietitian nutritionist who often help other people improve their self-care. After frenetic years as a sales executive for four Fortune 500 companies, she faced a series of personal losses with no reserves of physical or emotional health. Her new book De-Stress Your Life: Turn Chaos into Calm is a guidebook to living life with calm and joyful energy. Deborah has a formula that she uses to reduce stress and increase energy (E+M+C2). What does that mean? 1. Eat nourishing food, 2. Move your body, 3. Connect yourself to others. It is Deborah's mission to help hard-working small business owners, entrepreneurs, and creatives to make small sustainable changes that start at where they are currently. So, come on, hang out for a bit. I'll meet you inside. GIVEAWAY: Please leave us a review on this post for a chance to win a copy of Deborah's book "De-Stress Your Life: Turn Chaos Into Calm". In 2020 self-care became the newly re-invented buzzword of the year. Going inside and being disconnected from distractions has allowed room for emotions to float up to the surface. Many have uncovered the connection between what feels like unending emotional pain and their family. This discovery is not that new, it has been around for centuries. It is known as Generational Trauma. Generational Trauma isn't experienced by just one individual but passed down from one generation to the next. Though it is relatively a new field of study by experts, those who have been touched by it know firsthand the setback and emotional torture that it can give. In this episode with Christy Moore we discuss: Reclaiming your joy despite past experiences or what is happening in the world around you. We get a little personal in discussing and sharing our own generation trauma. Why self-care and is needed around issues like Generational Trauma to help you to continue to thrive, grow, and build a successful life and business.

Majority of people at some point have dreams. Many land on dusty shelves, and are spoken of after a few glasses of bubbly. For others they go after their passions, leaving homelands and all that is familiar to pursue the "thing" that will bring them fulfillment. They will take on jobs that will take care of their material needs while playing gigs on the side. Meet Coco Maria she specializes in Brazilian, South, Central American and Caribbean wax. Dancing is another form of self-care sweating and swaying to grooves like Bossa Nova, Samba, Cumbia, and many other rhythms from sunnier destinations. Self-care is being fully aware of what you want and going after it. Pull up a chair and listen as Coca Maria the host of "Club Coco" on Worldwide FM allows us to take an intimate peek inside her world. https://worldwidefm.net/ https://cocomaria.net/

Not long ago I had the honor of speaking with a friend and “competitor” Lisa Denson, one of the co-founders of Ekocreashunz. Ekocreashunz was founded by Lisa and Alexis Denson, a dynamic mom and daughter duo. The two started creating jewelry as a hobby in 2008 and heeded to the requests of friends and family to turn it into a business in late 2010. Designing jewelry has always been an outlet for the two of them. Inspired by nature and beautiful scenery, colors and geometric shapes, they create unique, timeless, wearable pieces of art for men and women. Every piece is handcrafted in their studio in Grayson, Georgia, USA. In case handmade, eco friendly goodies isn't cool enough, every item sold plants a tree!

Dr. Perez and her office focus on foot and gait mechanics. They observe the way people move and how those movements impact the pain they might be having. They then treat the movements and help their clients move differently or adjust things slightly to better the client's way of life. So I am sure you are wondering how does foot health ties into self-care? Well, one of the key staples of self-care is physical movement…right? Have a listen to this episode I am sure it will change the way you view your wonderfully made wheels.
