Lincolncrats (formerly The Jeff Show Podcast) offers common sense discussions of politics, news of the day, and things that matter to Jeff. Discussions of current events as well as interviews with experts concerning topics of the day is just some of what Lincolncrats has to offer. Why Lincolncrats? Because to me and many, Abraham Lincoln emulates all this is good about America, and he would not be welcome in today's Republican party. This isn't about Democrat vs. Republican anymore in the Trump era. It's about who we want to be as a country. Jeff can be reached on Twitter @JeffAdelman
Brilliant piece written and read by Todd Clarke. Mr. Clarke puts into words what many of us are thinking right now. Where do we go from here as a country? Well worth your time.
For 4+ years I have been railing against this monster Donald Trump, and have been given every excuse in the book why he is qualified to be President by his voters. My fears become a reality on Wednesday. You can't just say you don't support him anymore. If you voted for him, it's on you to fix it so future politicians know you won't tolerate it. It's not on Democrats and anti-Trumpers to do it. If you have any remorse, you need to help. And if you don't, well, that's on you.
The election is over. I am so excited/relieved that Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States. But I also know that many of you voted for Donald Trump and are disappointed. I'm extending an olive branch. We are a nation of over 330 million people, and the people have spoken. While Donald Trump‘s ego is hurt, is that a reason to sabotage the incoming President-elect during a pandemic? We all can't avoid each other because we might be angry, and we need to work together to defeat Covid-19. We are battling a pandemic like we’ve never seen. This truly IS a matter of life and death far beyond any sporting event, which it seems our politics have become to our detriment. I discuss why YOU, yes YOU, need to encourage your Republican representatives to demand Donald Trump work on a peaceful transfer of power and in particular, work with , NOT against Joe Biden on the COVID-19 task force. This is far too serious. Almost 240,000 people have died and that number is growing by the day. I humbly ask that Republicans and Trump voters put aside their disappointment and do what is right for the country, a peaceful transfer of power like there always has been for 244 years in the United States.
Jeff talks about his thoughts, feelings before the 2020 Presidential Election after this abomination Trump administration that has gleefully ripped our nation apart. The cruelty has been the point the entire time. But we can stop this madness! We can stop the incompetence. We can stop putting up with thousands of lies and gaslighting. Please vote Biden/Harris tomorrow. Your vote matters!

Jeff Adelman interviews Andy Kasten, a 25+ year resident of Coral Springs, who is running to be the City's next commissioner in a crowded field. Andy will talk about his priorities if given the honor to serve, his involvement in the betterment of the City throughout his time in the Springs, and what drives him to serve.
Last month, Abe Foxman, the former president of the Anti-Defamation League for 28 years and survivor of the Holocaust wrote an op-ed piece endorsing Joe Biden for President, the first time he has ever endorsed a candidate for the executive office. Foxman wrote, "Our community has an enormous stake in bipartisanship. It is the only way to combat anti-Semitism and bigotry. It is how we built a strong US-Israel alliance. Trump has damaged that necessary consensus, and we cannot permit Jews and Israel to be weaponized for anyone's narrow political interests." You can read the column here https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/american-jewrys-fateful.../Jeff Abrams and Jeff Adelman discuss why a Joe Biden presidency will be better for Jews and for Israel. They also discuss why despite the bombast and rhetoric, Donald Trump does not have American Jews or Israel's best interests at heart, like everything else, it's all about him.
Jeff Adelman & Michael Hoffman, an Afghanistan War Veteran, a self-described McCain Republican, and attorney for disabled veteran's rights about why a Joe Biden Presidency is not only better for our military and veterans, but for all of us. Please feel free to share to share his message and please, support the Biden/Harris ticket.
The Lincoln-Crats present: Deep Dive into NY Times Trump Tax Return Article from 9/27/2020. Bruce Gerstenfeld CPA and Jeff Adelman break down the almost 50 page article from last week (feels like 2 months ago) so you don't have to. Donald Trump paid only $750 in taxes in 2017 and no or similar amounts in the years before. How was he able to do that? Does this show that he's a good businessman or is something else. Is it legal to deduct $70,000 in hair treatment even if it looks as bad as his hair looks? This and more.
On Sunday October 4, 2020, while in patient at Walter Reed Hospital for Covid-19, Donald Trump needlessly endangered his secret service agents for the purposes of a photo op. Why this matters, and why it is yet another example of the poor leadership in the United States and indecent behavior that have epitomized his administration.
Jeff discusses his thoughts on the news that Donald and Melania Trump have been diagnosed with Coronavirus. This after Donald Trump famously has not worn masks and lead packed rallies of his supporters, not encouraging mask use. This was something that was inevitable.
My take on last night's food fight (debate). While the debate did go off the rails, the fault was not equal. Joe Biden came to talk about policies, the other candidate was there to sneer, be cynical and take personal shots at the candidate and his family. Only one candidate in this race will unequivocally denounce white supremacy, instead of fanning the flames of hatred. JFK said "A rising tide lifts all the boats." Donald Trump punches holes in all of the boats so everyone drowns in his cynicism and filth. Hope you get something out of this.
Apathy, cynicism: two words that get in the way of progress and have been weaponized by the Republican party for many decades to get people to not care. To not fight back. To feel they cannot make a difference. To feel hopeless and helpless. They want you to NOT care so they can serve their own interests, stay in power, and not have a real dialogue on issues that affect you and your family. Have a listen.
It’s well known that Donald Trump does not apologize or take ownership of failures that happen on his watch. This has been on full display during this Covid-19 Pandemic. With the revelations last week in Bob Woodward’s newest book “Rage,” confirm what we already knew: it’s always about money and power for himself, it’s never about helping other people He may want to deflect from his incompetent leadership by calling it the “Chinavirus” or “Kung-Flu,” but he cannot run away from his praise of China’s dictator/President Xi. When the American people needed Trump to lead, he decided to stroke Xi’s ego and suck up to him. Don’t believe me? Have a listen. An American President cannot be afraid to have difficult conversations and stand up to bullies like President Xi, and Vladimir Putin. Sadly, with all his bluster, listen with your own ears how weak he is.
Unquestionably Joe Biden took his job as a Senator and Vice President with the seriousness those positions deserve. Still, recently "Golfer in Chief" Donald Trump attacked Joe Biden's work ethic, somehow taking a position campaigning indoors in crowded facilities, without his supporters being required to wear masks for THEIR OWN protection and others was better than Joe Biden's sit downs with voters answering questions, listening rather than just talking. In this episode, I discuss the work ethic that Joe Biden has shown throughout his career, and there is no reason to believe that he would take any different approach if he were given the opportunity to sit in the highest office in the country.
Up until 2016, every Presidential candidate had disclosed their tax returns to the public for the prior 40 years. Donald Trump did not and still has not. Tax returns are one of the most important measures of honesty, integrity, and who a public servant is actually serving. It's a matter of transparency and a safeguard against corruption. Joe Biden's tax returns tell the story of who he really is, and the struggle many Americans' have when a family member gets sick. Donald Trump hiding his tax returns does as well. Listen to find out why.
In the aftermath of the shooting of Jacob Floyd 7 times in the back by a police officer in Wisconsin, Jeff discusses his thoughts on the need for change to how we police in America, no matter how hard it is. Not only would it be better for our country, but it would be better for police officers.
With Earth Day happening this past week, I got to thinking about my time with a very special teacher I had in high school, Charles "Chuck" Deveney. Mr. Deveney started the "Save What's Left" Club at Coral Springs High School, and made a huge impact on me and so many others. He is our "Lorax," and this episode is dedicated to him. Thank you Mr. Deveney.
It's disgusting that the response to the Coronavirus pandemic has become political. But look no further than President Trump for the reasons why. In a time when a nation needs leadership, he predictably is not providing it. Jeff explains why.
Jeff discusses little things you can do to prepare to work remotely from home in the event it is necessary during this Coronavirus crisis. If you have any suggestions or tips, feel free to contact Jeff on Twitter @JeffAdelman
Friends and activists Jon Faber and Jeff Adelman have a lively discussion about the Coronavirus, stock market fears, President Trump’s response, the South Carolina primary, and “Super Tuesday.”

I reflect on the changes in the country and my own introspection two years after Parkland tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Jeff discusses why you should care about the interference of Donald Trump with the Department of Justice in the sentencing of Roger Stone. Contrary to Trump's belief, the DOJ is not HIS, it's the peoples'!
Jeff Adelman's new podcast, "The Jeff Show" is a soapbox for Jeff to talk about the issues of the day, politics, and of course, the Brotherhood of Jeffs.
