Alright. Now the Democrats, they're really trying everything they can to figure out how they can resonate with the American people. They spent are spending millions of dollars trying to find somebody out there that could be their version of Joe Rogan. Well, they're not gonna be able to do that. I I've just I've just tell you right now. That's that's not gonna happen. They've already tried that. They tried to find their version of Rush Limbaugh. They built an entire radio network out of that, and it failed miserably. So now they're saying now they've come along and they're saying, alright. Listen. We we gotta change the way we talk. We gotta change the way that that we talk to the American people. We talk like like leftist doctors. So we gotta change our now remember, they already tried something along this this line not long ago when they went dark woke. Well, they started dropping the f bomb all over the place, starting using profanity at every event. And for some reason, they thought that that was gonna resonate with the American people. That backfired horrendously. So now they're they're like, listen. We got we gotta change the words we use. That's not gonna work either. You see, it's not the fact that they don't have a Joe Rogan. It's not the fact that they they they use profanity. It's not the fact that they're now gonna stop using profanity. It's not the fact that they're gonna change the words that they use. It's the policies they simply do not understand. None of that matters to the American people. None of it. It's what do you do when you get elected. Just like the the the mayor of Seattle calling that Christian concert a, what was it about? Fascist right wing concert. Oh, I'm sorry. A fascist right wing family values concert. You see, that's what the American people, they sit back and they go, wait a minute. Hold on. What is, what is fascist about family values exactly? Could you explain that to us? Mayor Harold of Seattle, could you explain that how how family value you see, they don't get it. They truly don't get it. They can't understand it. And what they really can't understand is the fact that Donald Trump keeps gaining in popularity by some pretty big numbers. Let's just go I just haven't done this in a couple of days. Let's go look at real clear politics, real quick and see exactly how people feel. Well, when you take a look at president Trump's job approval, 53% approve of the job that president Trump is doing. 53%. More and more people every single day believe that this country is now headed in the right direction. That's amazing. But surely there's gotta be some demographic out there, some demographic out there that, where where president Trump isn't doing all that well. I know what it is. I know the demographic. Surely, with all this talk about immigration, all of this talk about deportation, all of this talk about the borders, surely, president Trump has gotta be hurting in the Hispanic community. No. Actually, quite the opposite, and I mean big time, the opposite. This is from MSN. Despite frequently facing criticism for hard line immigration policies that target, target migrants from countries in Latin America, Trump has recently main made significant gains of favorability among Hispanic Americans. Hispanic voters were one of the key groups who proved important in securing Trump's win in November. The demographic was generally lean Democrat, but Trump increased his share of Hispanic votes from 16% in 2016 to 42% in 2024. That was huge. That was big, but hold on to your britches because it gets even bigger. According to an insider advantage poll, 59.6% of Hispanics approve of president Trump's job performance. If you're rounding up slightly, that is 60% of Hispanics. Sixty percent. That is oh, by the way, that's a 22 increase from an earlier poll back on a just in the past within the past month, April 30 through May 1, they did that poll. In this poll, it's increased 22% among Hispanics. ...

fWotD Episode 2940: Ezra Pound Welcome to Featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia's finest articles.The featured article for Friday, 23 May 2025, is Ezra Pound.Ezra Weston Loomis Pound (30 October 1885 – 1 November 1972) was an American poet and critic, a major figure in the early modernist poetry movement, and a collaborator in Fascist Italy and the Salò Republic during World War II. His works include Ripostes (1912), Hugh Selwyn Mauberley (1920), and his 800-page epic poem The Cantos (c. 1917–1962).Pound's contribution to poetry began in the early 20th century with his role in developing Imagism, a movement stressing precision and economy of language. Working in London as foreign editor of several American literary magazines, he helped discover and shape the work of contemporaries such as H. D., Robert Frost, T. S. Eliot, Ernest Hemingway, and James Joyce. He was responsible for the 1914 serialization of Joyce's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, the 1915 publication of Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", and the serialization from 1918 of Joyce's Ulysses. Hemingway wrote in 1932 that, for poets born in the late 19th or early 20th century, not to be influenced by Pound would be "like passing through a great blizzard and not feeling its cold".Angered by the carnage of World War I, Pound blamed the war on finance capitalism, which he called "usury". He moved to Italy in 1924 and through the 1930s and 1940s promoted an economic theory known as social credit, wrote for publications owned by the British fascist Sir Oswald Mosley, embraced Benito Mussolini's fascism, and expressed support for Adolf Hitler. During World War II, Pound recorded hundreds of paid radio propaganda broadcasts for the fascist Italian government and its later incarnation as a German puppet state, in which he attacked the United States federal government, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Great Britain, international finance, munitions makers, arms dealers, Jews, and others, as abettors and prolongers of the war. He also praised both eugenics and the Holocaust in Italy, while urging American GIs to throw down their rifles and surrender. In 1945, Pound was captured by the Italian Resistance and handed over to the U. S. Army's Counterintelligence Corps, who held him pending extradition and prosecution based on an indictment for treason. He spent months in a U. S. military detention camp near Pisa, including three weeks in an outdoor steel cage. Ruled mentally unfit to stand trial, Pound was incarcerated for over 12 years at St. Elizabeths psychiatric hospital in Washington, D. C., whose doctors viewed Pound as a narcissist and a psychopath, but otherwise completely sane.While in custody in Italy, Pound began work on sections of The Cantos, which were published as The Pisan Cantos (1948), for which he was awarded the Bollingen Prize for Poetry in 1949 by the Library of Congress, causing enormous controversy. After a campaign by his fellow writers, he was released from St. Elizabeth's in 1958 and returned to Italy, where he posed for the press giving the Fascist salute and called the United States "an insane asylum". Among the many factors credited for Donald Trump's victory over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race was one that, naturally, the hosts of Know Your Enemy took an interest in: podcasts. More specifically, "bro" podcasts—think Joe Rogan or Theo Von—seemed to be one reason why Trump continued, as he did in 2016 and 2020, to perform so well with male voters, especially gaining ground with younger, Black, and Latino men. An episode of one of these podcasts might stretch to three hours long or more, and typically features meandering, casual conversations that put a premium on apparent authenticity, as well as a knack for hanging with the boys. Three viral videos are circulating on social media of women making racially charged statements. The women in question are also of three different races, or mixes thereof, one being “white,” another Indian-Fijian, and the last “Chinese.” In all three cases the women use the word “nigger” or “niggah” to describe a person with dark skin. The context is also not provided, as all three videos are under 60 seconds. Based on what is known, one of the videos may even be a stunt to make money, with the woman in question having generated nearly three-quarters of a million dollars in a few days to “help protect my family.”The reaction is the same either way: the entitled use the videos as evidence of their victimhood, while others use them to justify their own raw bigotry. Between these extremes is the question of how the “white supremacist” side deals with a Chinese girl saying something they ultimately agree with, or how the “stop asian hate” side deals with an asian harassing blacks. These extremes neglect three other important details: what does “white” or “black” even mean, why does this take precedent over nearly everything else with one exception in the racial hierarchy, and what the origin of the word “nigger” even is. In case of the latter, the term comes from the Spanish “negro” and Latin “niger.” It was adopted initially to describe the skin of Africans. It later was turned into a slur, and due to accents and dialects became “nigger.” Still later the term changed again for the same reasons into “niggah,” which describes a behavior rather than a physical characteristic. The reality is despite there being a subset of truly raw supremacists in any society, average people tend to dislike a person who is loud, obnoxious, immoral, and disrespectful. This reality also holds that racial slurs, feelings of supremacy, and the like are not only universal, but are not, and should never be, illegal in the United States. John's monologue this time features Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan who was arrested by the FBI on two felony counts for interfering with an ICE operation. Last week, Dugan sent away ICE agents who entered her courtroom to arrest a Mexican man during a separate trial. Then, Dugan allowed the man to use another exit instead of handing him over to the Trump-stapo. Dugan had asked for a judicial arrest warrant and just like in the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, the ICE agents did NOT have a judicial arrest warrant, only an administrative warrant which carries far less weight and legal obligation.
