The incidence of adverse food reactions is EXPLODING! If you know you have an adverse reaction to certain foods, or even chemicals, then you may be experiencing loss of immune system tolerance. This episode Dr. Jerby explores the basics of how the immune system can gradually loose it's ability to accurately distinguish between what's "friend" and what's "foe" and begins to react to molecules (antigens) that were previously seen as "friendly" and now sees as a danger to the body. This can result in unpleasant reactions to certain foods and may evolve into a full-blown allergy, a non-IgE mediated response, or may even play a role in the development of an autoimmune disease. This episode is the first in a series on adverse food reactions. Don't miss it!
