Theme Park podcast from a Disney and Universal loving Dad living in Orlando
key west, theme park podcast, theme parks, brian, disney, interviewing, based, heart, guy, family, can't wait, worth, good, enjoy, stories, show, like, great podcast, listen, love.
Listeners of The Light Em And Hide Podcast that love the show mention:Litem's takes on one of his favorite movies of the summer. Thor Love and Thunder was such a pleasant surprise that it shocked me. My take on this film, the state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Halloween Horror Night well wishes to all that celebrate, and an update on the Litem Family. Tried to keep the review Spoiler free; not because it's a new movie, but if you find yourself watching it I would like you to enjoy it the same way my son and I did. (Hint he loved it too) "Another classic Litem adventure"
Some small but good news to report from Disney this last week. A quick walk around the Disney Port Orleans Resort. Take a boat ride along the Sascagoula River and check out this delightful resort. A walk down memory lane to the Alligator Bayou and what it meant to be finally at a Disney resort in 2006 had terrible audio but the rest of the walk by the pool and the grounds were salvageable. Ahh the joys of podcast recording from a mobile unit. Go find some magic. There might not be a tomorrow, so if it doesn't hurt anyone including your financial well-being, go have fun and enjoy yourself. Chase some whimsy. Opening Song can be purchased here for $4 from bandcamp. Stories that Live Green album. You will definitely recognize the first song on the EP if you watch YouTube
I recorded this with my teeth chattering amid 4-degree temperatures. Get warm if you need to. If you can somehow wait to get to Universal during Mardi Gras, then make sure you do it! Great food, music, concerts, beverages, and oh yeah, UNBELIEVABLE rides. Typhoon Lagoon is open over at Disney. That remains the only good news from that company and its staff members. (I'm not calling that executive management roster cast members anymore) My thoughts on a very good Spiderman movie and more. If you excuse me, I will play some Tiki music and pretend to be at The Royal Pacific Resort, where it's warm.
Happy Anniversary! We had the amazing fortune to be able to take advantage of a 7 hour VIP Tour with a "plaid". It was an unbelievable experience. There was magic, there were tears, there was plenty of laughter, and dreams came true. Join me as I share what it was liked to have full park access to anywhere on Walt Disney World. Hop into your air conditioned motor coach and enjoy a frosty beverage as you are whisked to the front of the line and backstage for any ride in all four parks. Celebrating 50 yrs of love and family together in the place my family has loved since day one. Enjoy!
Happy 50th! No matter what you think about Disney's handling of the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, we all have benefited from what happened 50 yrs ago. I don't have 50 years of memories, but I have plenty of them. I'm taking today to say thanks for all the fun times, tears, laughs and dance parties I've had in the park. I might not have been there for all 50, but I've got a lifetime of happy thoughts with more yet to come. En Joir
Legoland FL is in Lakeland FL. If you don't know where that is or what goes on there, well neither did I. The whole gang took our first trip to see Wildstyle and crew. A delightful little park for kids 4-12. Not cheap, but a bit more relaxing than peak season with the big parks. Also, a full Saturday trip to MK with NO LINES OVER 10 MINS. Followed up with the single most pleasant evening I can recall in years at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Star Wars land. Walk ons all night and smiles on all Cast. It was glorious. Take care............
Rope dropping your weekend with a brief glimpse of my career and life leading up to this moment. Ready to make more magical moments in and out of the Disney bubble. "Worry is using your Imagination to wish for something you don't want to happen"
New exciting night time spectaculars across Magic Kingdom and EPCOT as well as Disney's Animal Kingdom. Thoughts and opinions from my children on everything from the state of the water parks to Disney Plus, Harry Potter, Volcano Bay, and of course Star Wars and Marvel news. Enjoy hearing what the happenings in the parks mean to those who the parks were built for in the first place. Take care............
Jeremy and I sit down to discuss the ever changing landscape of Orlando during our first podcast together. We discuss how much things have changed since 2019. We also discuss managing expectations during times of change and the importance of staying positive when things surprise us. We also discuss his hotel and travel accommodations for his 8 night trip which is coming up in just days. We also get into his background with Halloween Horror Nights, Universal's Royal Pacific hotel experience and his plans for Volcano Bay! One of the smartest and most talented theme park planners I know, this was an absolute pleasure.
Join me as I take a walk from the Royal Pacific Resort into Universal's Islands of Adventure. Ambient noise and up to date live experiences as I check out what's new this week including the new Velicicoaster and some other changes to Jurassic Park. Enjoy the music, rides and other sounds with my thoughts on what I'm experiencing. A virtual tour of one of the best parks in Orlando Florida. Take care.........
Friend of the show, Matt Houser recaps his trip down to see Walt Disney World . From the details about what it was like staying at the Carribean Beach Resort, two EPCOT flower and garden festival with young kids, wookie cookies, getting the family of Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, we cover it all. You may be able to tell from all the laughter that we had a great time. Also, some things to avoid while down in Orlando this spring and summer. Take care, brush your hair.
Flowers have been planted. Castles have been painted. Time to start planning and then taking action around the trips you have been waiting a long long time to take. Universal has new coasters. Disney has the Lion King and all kinds of surprises headed our way. Florida hotels are open for business and just waiting to make you smile. Be smart. Be safe. Be open to all that is available to you and your family.
That dragon fire has some real kick to it! The latest edition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is non other than Hagrid's Motorbike Coaster. Fly through the air and along the grounds on the outskirts of Hogwarts and meet the gentle half giant and attend his care of magical creatures class. Also, journey across with planet with Jason Bourne as part of the Bourne Stuntacular show. SPOILER WARNING
A restart for the new year. Pay attention, love big, and as Rubeus Hagrid said to Harry Potter "you all righ?" yeah "No you're not. Of course you're not. But yeh will be" So will you
Part two of a visit to Walt Disney World in Orlando. This episode focuses on changes to the park after Covid restrictions, Star Wars Land, Toy Story and Mickey's Runaway Railway. Also, an open letter to park management concerning how to ensure guests don't feel left out in the cold right after park opening. Star Wars, Mickey and the kids means a great time.
Thoughts on my experiences at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom post Covid 19 closure. What it felt like to walk through the front gates, see the castle, and flitter down Main Street USA with a mask. Also, this was the 100th episode of the show. Thank you to all the new listeners it has gained since the beginning of 2020! Nothing can stop us now..............Take care. Brush your hair. (For the 100th time)
Long week. Wouldn't it be nice to be at Walt Disney World? Universal Studios? Well, maybe we all can do that, but there is no excuse for not trying your best to help others and being the best version of yourself. Nobody is promised anything. Enjoy today. Just don't try and hurt others when you pursue your happy. Enjoy.
Disney World and Universal Studios are open!! This is a fun filled show with a trip report from Jeff W, aka (@braindud92) recapping both his family's recent 10 day vacation to the Magic Kingdom, but also his other recent trip to Universal Studios in Florida. His Co-Host Chuck Fitzgerald (@chuckinthechat) and our own Little Litem discuss the pros and cons of safety measures taken. Was the magic of the Disney Bubble lost? Did the problems of the muggle world impact the enjoyment of Harry Potter at USF? Take a listen as we stroll down memory lane. Six feet apart of course.
Hi folks, Its me. Little Litem. I got into my Dad's studio and I decided to do my own show by myself. Its my first time so be nice please. This show was my turn to talk about something at Disney and Universal besides Covid. I've only been a guest, but this time I recorded this alone for all the kids whose parents are planning a trip.
Disney will be open before September. Universal set the stage and has begun opening TODAY. Where do you stand? Throw all caution out the window and be first in line, or bury your head in the pillow fort you have built in your quarantine castle? Well, there is some middle ground. Be vigilant. Listen to your head AND your heart, and go from there. This is a no judging podcast episode with some NSFW moments. Take care. Wash your damn hair.
After a long road trip up the East Coast from the Mouse House to Massachusetts, here are my thoughts on self motivation and bad habits during quarantine. Also, the ground breaking new transportation system that Universal Florida just filed a patent application. This is a game changer. Listen as I drive the Litem Mobile and give you some thoughts on Bob Iger being at the helm of the Mouselenium Falcoln. Stay positive. Have fun. Get ready to enjoy Disney and Universal whenever it becomes safe. In the meantime, catch up with old friends by watching Star Wars Rebels on Disney+
The band (almost) got everyone back together to talk trip reports. All of us are just back from the parks, and Aengus discussed bringing his Mom to the parks and gives us a guide for what to expect from ECV rentals in both Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. Also, SKIP EPCOT FOR NEXT 2 YRS. Enjoy a guest appearance by Theme Park Pet of the Year, Bacini who chimes in as well. Take care, brush your perfect DAK hair.
Non Star Wars Content. However thoughts about the Japanese art of repairing something and making it more special is the metaphor for this episode. Feeling broken? Feeling like something is not working? Come back different but strong. Be a one of a kind. You don't have to be perfect, but you can be original. Also you can be a beautiful as Japanese pottery repaired with gold, or as bad a** as Kylo Ren's repaired mask. -Litem Back to Disney and Universal travel planning next episode. Enjoy
Universal vs Disney in a format like Ford vs Ferrari. Featuring some actual A list stars both in and out of the theme park world of entertainment. Have a quick listen and enjoy the calm before the turkey storm.
4 of us got together to review HocoHowie's first family trip to Universal. His thoughts on all the things that he and his family of four experienced for the first time. Topics range from the Disney Skyliner to Howie's irrational hatred of bathroom doors that don't lock. For listeners of both The E Ticket Report and The Park Blogger Podcast, you won't be surprised that Derek and Aengus pull no punches. Thanks to all of my guests for "doing a quick hr show" that was so much fun it went double that. Follow me @litemandhyde, Derek @DerekBurgan , and Aengus McKenzie @Aengus on Twitter. Be sure to catch Derek each and every Saturday on TouringPlans.com for The Saturday Six blog (best blog on the interwebs. Take care. Brush the broken skyliner glass out of your hair.
Quick episode with some thoughts about not changing the format of the show and where its headed. Parks report from September including Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, the Queen of Mean, and blasting around corners as "real" racers. My two thumbs up on Star Wars Galaxies Edge as well. Enjoy!
Aengus and Litem are back at it again. This time good friend and Disney superfan HocoHowie goes over Disney's D23 and why he won't be back. From there we move on to letting the Adventure (planning) at Universal Studios begin. Lots and lots of laughs that only come with 3 friends talking theme parks. Take care, brush your Wizard hair.
As we wrap up the summer with a quick recap with the squad and a preview for Star Wars Galaxies Edge from the little ones. Expectations they have, merch they want, (they didn't get it lol) and whether or not wizards could beat the Jedi in a battle.
This one was super fun. If you like feeling like you are eavesdropping on friends talking themeparks then this is the episode is for you. Three buddies swapping stories about everything from #teampancakes to the new Coronado Springs Tower and its new restaurants to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge to HHN and our families. Enjoy. The three of us did. You can find Jeff @braindud and Chuck @chuckinthechat at The Mickey Dudes podcast along with 7 of their co-hosts wherever podcasts are found. Take care, brush your 15th Floor Firework Hair
Back from 2 year hiatus Brandon Glover is back with an update on new brunch and meal options at both Universal area resorts and some new experiences at Disney Springs. Also, his experience having two years social media free.
Happy Easter. The first part of this episode has my thoughts on Mizners, Stranger Things at Halloween Horror Nights, and more. The 2nd half was recorded after watching some really off the wall trends in Diz Twitter. "It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds" - Doc Holiday. Tombstone

My Special guest from the "Mickey Dudes" podcast Jeff puts up with my nonsense. We discuss Pandora, Universal, all of the Universal Loews hotels, escaping the crazy world we all live in and going to see Blue People etc. Even a small dash of his experience of HHN believe it or not. Newest updates on the world of Avatar with one of us looking to be disappointed and one of us is on the HYPE train. Both of us were very tired so play at 1.25 speed. More on Volcano Bay and how Fallon is actually doing well with kids. Also the new focus on non-screen based rides at Universal, more on Toy Story, and yes cowboy hats are not just in movies but you cant wear them to Volcano Bay.
Me dear friend was back and out of retirement and talking Gondolas. Star Wars hotel. Wilderness Lodge. Pandora and more. One of the premier Twitter #fam members does his last podcast as a single man. Thanks to the Magickingdumb Popcast for being good sports. Check them out!!!
I review the Hoop-Dee-Do Review and my final viewing of Wishes with the whole family. Quite possibly the most fun at a stage show I've ever had. Disney is opening up a new restaurant today at Wilderness Lodge............and more.
After a Wonderful staycation at Universal's Cabana Bay resort and trips to Universal Studios Florida the Litem clan was completely blown away by how lucky we are to be living so close to the parks. Combine that with some magical moments at Walt Disney World'd Grand Floridian, dinner at the Polynesian, Trader Sams and cocktails with good friends at the Tambu Lounge and you could say that the Pixie Dust bug showed up at the Litem House once again and we all caught it. Keep banging on your drum...........
Welcome to all the new listeners of the show! This is a quick review of who I am, what the show is about and what to expect going forward in 2017. (Except for the extra long motivational clips at the end of the show) This show is primarily about Florida, Disney parks, Universal Studios Florida, hotels, vacations, boat drinks, Jimmy Buffett, living in Key West for over 15 yrs and my recent move to Orlando. One man's take on life, parenting, great friends, strong cocktails, and the joy of a perfect ADR. Take care, brush your hair

As we try and get the Litem Studios sound proofed, the mixing board installed and calibrated, the security cams installed, and finally get our show producer in Orlando, I figured I would check in with an upate on Disney, moving pains, general theme park news and what its like to drive just outside of the Disney bubble. Take care, brush your Holiday hair.
Christmas has sprung up and is in full force here in the Orlando area. I have a quick update on the family, the house, my suprise pick for best decorated resort so far this year, and oh yeah............I thought for about 5 solid minutes that I was going to themepark jail. Take care, brush your happy holiday hair.
