This week on Where We Roam, we are getting a few things off our chest with a full episode dedicated to our biggest Walt Disney World pet peeves. John, Dayna, and Jess talk through the guest behaviors that can turn a magical park day into a test of patience, from people standing way too close in line, to massive groups cutting the queue, to guests stopping dead in the middle of Main Street USA like no one else exists. We also get into Disney adults wearing cringe-worthy complaint shirts, guests who think spending money entitles them to special treatment, people asking to be “pixie dusted,” bad information from old TikToks, MagicMobile chaos at the front gate, public family meltdowns, and why Disney guest etiquette still matters. It is a little ranty, a lot relatable, and hopefully just self-aware enough to make all of us better Disney Parks guests. Whether you are planning your first Walt Disney World vacation or you visit the parks all the time, this episode is a funny reminder that the magic works best when everyone remembers they are not the only family in the park.

The AI data center boom is not merely a technology story, it is a prophetic infrastructure story, and it ought to send a chill down the spine of every Bible believer paying attention. All across America, power grids are being strained, utility companies are making room for massive artificial intelligence campuses, and ordinary people are being told—directly or indirectly—that the needs of the machine now come before the needs of the home. This is ‘The Matrix' on steriods, coming right now to Main Street USA.“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” Revelation 13:7 (KJB)On this episode of the Prophecy News Podcast, the AI data centers themselves are very much part of the infrastructure layer that will support the coming Mark of the Beast system: identity, commerce, surveillance, permission-based access, biometric verification, digital currency, behavioral scoring, and real-time global enforcement. Revelation is crystal-clear, the Mark of the Beast will control all buying and all selling through a human-implantable biometric device inside your own body. Massive AI data centers will control digital ID systems, facial recognition, CBDC frameworks, tokenized money, smart cities, biometric security, predictive policing, cloud-based health records, AI moderation and censorship, always-on tracking devices, and energy infrastructure redirected toward machine intelligence — that is the Beast system being framed out in plain sight. Today, we travel across America to bring you the real stories of what's happening in towns and cities just like the ones you live in, showing how AI data centers are the literal fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Send us Fan MailA Disney vacation is supposed to feel seamless, expensive in the good way, and weirdly perfect from every angle. So we asked the opposite question: what would happen if a “Disney” theme park was built like a Temu order, where everything looks incredible in the photo and then shows up slightly off in your hands? We start with a drink straight from Magic Kingdom nostalgia, the Lemoncello Margarita from Tony's Town Square on Main Street USA, then use that sweet citrus buzz to design an entire knockoff park: Disney's Wishful Wonders Marketplace. Think online shopping logic turned into a theme park, complete with no real icon, cardboard castles, and a land called Expectation Kingdom that's “totally Monet” from far away. Up close, the dragons are cutouts, the animatronics squeak, and the magic gets replaced by duct tape energy. From there we pitch bargain-bin versions of classic Disney World rides and shows: Space-ish Mountain in a dark warehouse, Pirates in a slightly damp garage, the Haunted Duplex with one fog machine, and a Jungle Cruise that becomes a walk past a kiddie pool. We also build Flash Deal Frontier where attractions sell out mid-ride, Factory of Dreams where your VIP experience is basically a manufacturing shift, and Return Lagoon with a dispute-process lazy river and Refund Rapids that may or may not finish. Add in churro-ish sticks, half-popped popcorn, Mickey-ish ears, and glow wands that need impossible batteries, and you've got a full Disney parody packed with theme park satire. If you laughed even once reading this, you'll laugh a dozen times listening. Subscribe, share the episode with a Disney friend, leave a review, and tell us which Temu Disney ride you'd actually dare to try.

Between Pride and Shame: Beverly Gage Gets in her Subaru & drives Across 250 Years of American History

“You can face your history and still love your country. This is my attempt at doing that.” — Beverly GageWhen the Yale Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Beverly Gage finished her almost nine-hundred-page biography of J. Edgar Hoover, she needed a little break before starting her next book on Ronald Reagan. So she got in her old Subaru and spent six months on the road driving across America to prepare for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The result of these thirteen separate road trips is This Land Is Your Land: A Road Trip Through US History. Gage's Subaru broke down constantly. So, from time to time, did her health. But the American history she uncovered is anything but broken down.Historians, Gage argues, don't think enough about geography. Visiting the homes of the first four US Presidents from Virginia, she saw how closely America's slaveholding elite actually lived. Driving through the small towns on the Erie Canal, she found the corridor where abolitionism, women's rights, temperance, and reform Christianity were all born. At Disneyland, the final chapter in her road trip, she went to the Abraham Lincoln stage show and imagined Main Street USA as Walt Disney's parable about US history. The gap between the imagined America and the real one (yes, there is a real one, she insists) is where true history lives.Gage's thesis is that there is a third road — too much of a backstreet these days — between American pride and shame in its history. Her book maps that path. You can face up to your history, she argues, and still love your country. In a moment when inane triumphalism and apocalyptic despair dominate America's sense of itself, Gage's quiet historical reflection feels like the rarest of national commodities. Ben Franklin wondered in 1787 if the sun was rising or setting on America. Two hundred and fifty years later, Beverly Gage got in her Subaru and went on the road to find out. Five Takeaways•       Out of the Library and Into the Subaru: Gage won the Pulitzer Prize for her eight-hundred-page biography of J. Edgar Hoover. Her next book is on Ronald Reagan. Between the two, she needed a break. So she got in her unreliable Subaru and drove across America in thirteen trips, covering six months on the road, to prepare for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The Subaru broke down constantly. The history she found was worth it.•       Historians Don't Think Enough About Geography: Visiting the homes of the first four presidents from Virginia, Gage saw how closely the slaveholding elite actually lived — neighbours, not just names in a textbook. Driving the Erie Canal in upstate New York, she found the corridor where abolitionism, women's rights, temperance, and reform Christianity were all born in a handful of small towns. Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony were neighbours. History on the ground is different from history in books.•       Disneyland Is a Parable About American History: When Walt Disney opened Disneyland in 1955, Main Street USA reached back to his own childhood in the age of William McKinley. Frontierland told the heroic story of the American past. Tomorrowland celebrated Cold War technological optimism. Most visitors don't think about this. Gage does. She went to the Abraham Lincoln stage show. The gap between the imagined America and the real one is where the history lives.•       The Third Road: Between Pride and Shame: Gage encountered Americans who said: celebrate the country, I want nothing to do with that. She encountered others who said: only say the good stuff. She wanted to live in the tension between them. You can face your history and still love your country. That's the thesis of the book, and the argument for how to approach 250 years of American history in a moment when both triumphalism and despair are on offer.•       Upstate New York Was Where Americans Reimagined Themselves: Gage's favourite chapter. In the 1840s and 1850s along the Erie Canal, Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony were actually neighbours. They were writing their own constitutions and rethinking the Declaration of Independence. Douglass gave his famous “What to the slave is the Fourth of July?” speech in Rochester. They were in it together. If you want to find the third road, this is where to start. About the GuestBeverly Gage is the John Lewis Gaddis Professor of History and American Studies at Yale. She is the author of G-Man: J. Edgar Hoover and the Making of the American Century, which won the Pulitzer Prize for Biography, and This Land Is Your Land: A Road Trip Through US History. She is currently at work on a biography of Ronald Reagan.References:•       This Land Is Your Land: A Road Trip Through US History by Beverly Gage.•       G-Man: J. The kind of weekend that turns runners into storytellers started with lines out the door and ended with smiles wider than Main Street. We dig into the real Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend: the Dopey merch experiment that strained patience, a 5K power outage that couldn't dim the vibe, and shoes, shirts, and sizing choices that had everyone talking. Then we lace up for the races—Epcot-forward 10K joy, half marathon strategy you can actually use, and marathon Sunday's heat that forced smart decisions and small, lifesaving hacks. You'll hear what it's like to push an adaptive athlete down Main Street USA and orchestrate safe space for fist bumps, and how a community rallied to bring Myra back to the start line—twice. We trade the best on-course tactics for hot weather: drink one cup, pour one cup, stash a wet sponge, eat the banana, and when needed, reset your brain with a ride on Expedition Everest or a vending-machine Coke. We unpack the Blizzard Beach cut, how it reshaped pacing, and why embracing joy can be the difference between finishing and fading. And yes, we celebrate Brittany Charbonneau—dominant on the course, generous at the finish.Beyond the miles, the Disney Springs meetup proves why this community keeps growing: hundreds of friends, homemade cookies, raffle surprises, and quiet moments of encouragement before the last big push. Medal Monday reflections bring practical park tips and a few cautionary notes about embroidery lines. Whether you ran 3.1 or 48.6, you'll find yourself in these stories—costumes, castle photos, new marriages, and first-time Dopey's crossing the line with tears and laughter.Press play for a full recap, hard-earned lessons, and the kind of heart that makes runDisney weekends unforgettable. Revitalize I Resettle: How Main Street USA Can Offer New Beginnings for America’s Climate-Displaced by Hillary Brown Hillarybrown.net https://www.amazon.com/Revitalize-Resettle-Beginnings-Americas-Climate-Displaced/dp/B0DZDZRJDH A Bold New Chapter for Reviving Our Rural Towns and Small Cities: Helping in Future to Resettle Our Own Climate Refugees Revitalize I Resettle explores of two of America’s pervasive challenges-the economic decline and depopulation of rural towns and small legacy cities and the impending mass displacement of Americans due to increasing climate chaos. It envisions ways forward in the nexus between these two concerns. The book offers a compelling perspective on the need to address the urban-rural rift. It presents well-conceived, holistic strategies for the revitalization of these places, aiming to restore rural economic vigor and advance sustainability. It also looks ahead to the prospect of climate-driven migration. It paints a sobering picture of the looming crisis yet also provides a glimmer of optimism. It suggests that by improving rural prosperity and social equity, we can establish resilient communities in parts of the country that can safely and willingly welcome and resettle many of those displaced by climate change in the not-too-distant future. Revitalize I Resettle is not merely a theoretical exploration; it is a call to action. The book provides a pragmatic approach to these complex issues, suggesting creative solutions that are equitable, resilient, and adaptable. The author argues that rejuvenated heartland towns and small cities can not only mitigate the effects of socioeconomic disparity but also provide tangible support for many Americans dislodged by the climate crisis in the coming decades. Through its in-depth analysis and examples of innovative revitalization strategies, the book serves as a blueprint for building a more resilient and equitable future for all Americans. In essence, Revitalize I Resettle is a crucial and timely resource.

We open with holiday cheer, community thanks, and a few playful ideas—from telethons to extra-big meetup cookies—before diving into a rewind that still gives us goosebumps: the Walt Disney World Marathon story of first-time marathoner and champion, Stephanie Muscat.Stephanie's path started in the pool. Years of swimming turned into tentative laps on an indoor track, then into local 5Ks and half marathons that built confidence. She explains why runDisney hooked her—the DJs at 3 a.m., the pre-start electricity, and the promise of sprinting past Spaceship Earth—and why Disney was the perfect stage for a marathon debut. On race day she kept the goal simple: a smart run around three hours. The early lead surprised her, Main Street USA brought tears, and a bike lead quietly guided the way. At mile 19, rain poured at Blizzard Beach, second place loomed a few minutes behind, and Stephanie turned the weather into fuel. By the time she entered EPCOT, the possibility became a pulse, then a certainty: tape up, arms high, a finish line she won't forget. We also share practical updates for runners prepping for Marathon Weekend, Princess, and Springtime Surprise—training checkpoints, ADR reminders, and big news from runDisney: Dopey Challenge merchandise access limited to registered Dopey runners on day one, with verification and item limits. Send us a textPlanning a Disney trip is magical, but it is not always perfectly polished. Sometimes it is a little last minute, a little messy, and a whole lot of fun. In this episode of the Well Hello Magic Podcast, we are diving into two big topics: finding the best places to work remotely while at Walt Disney World Resort and tips for pulling off a last-minute Halloween trip like a pro.First up, let's talk about remote work at Disney. Whether you are a content creator, a parent squeezing in a few hours of work, or someone who needs to check in with the office before heading to the parks, finding the right spot to open your laptop matters. We are going beyond the obvious and exploring some of my favorite quiet corners and hidden gems around the parks and resorts. Think comfy seating, good Wi-Fi, low foot traffic, and just the right amount of background magic to keep you inspired. From tucked-away lounges at Disney's Riviera Resort to the airy Solarium at Disney's Beach Club Resort and even a few sneaky park spots like the upstairs of Columbia Harbour House, these are the spaces where magic meets productivity. Then, we switch gears and talk about what happens when you plan a Disney trip at the last second because that is exactly what I am doing right now. I changed my Halloween trip plans just 10 days ago, and yes, we changed our costumes again this week. I am sharing how I keep my sanity while planning on the fly, where to focus my time and energy when the countdown clock is ticking, and the real talk on what you can and cannot accomplish when planning a Disney vacation last minute. Spoiler: it is absolutely still magical.I am also sharing how I will be testing out Wait Magic, a trip-planning app that reached out to me. I want to see if it actually lives up to the hype for real-time wait times, strategy tips, and crowd patterns. If it works well, it might just become part of my toolkit for helping you plan smarter and stress less on your own trips. So if you have ever wondered: • Where can I actually work remotely without the chaos of Main Street USA? • How do you plan a Disney trip in a week or two without losing your mind? • Is it still worth going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last minute? • How can new planning apps help keep me organized? We discuss community participation in government, how to address local issues, and the role of responsible firearm ownership in our town. The discussion takes a candid turn into the Second Amendment, where Paul shares both his personal history as a gun owner and his stance on New York's evolving firearms laws. We also touch on the latest gun news, like open carry legislation in Florida, the surprising move by Everytown to teach gun safety, and recent victories for gun rights in Texas post offices. As always, we sprinkle in some light-hearted moments, talk about technology and aftermarket car mods, and round out the show with hot takes on current political debates, government budgets, and the wild world of military drones.Call to Action1. Ann Westerheim, founder and president of Ekaru, discusses the concept of "last mile services" in technology, emphasizing the importance of making advanced IT and cybersecurity accessible to small businesses. Drawing from her background in the semiconductor industry, she highlights the gap between cutting-edge technology and its practical application for Main Street USA businesses. Her approach focuses on empowering clients to improve their cybersecurity posture through simple, actionable steps, such as implementing strong passwords and multi-factor authentication.Westerheim introduces her CyberFit 21-day program, designed to demystify cybersecurity for non-technical users. She aims to replace the overwhelming jargon of the tech industry with relatable concepts that resonate with small business owners. By simplifying complex topics, she helps clients understand the risks they face and the straightforward measures they can take to mitigate them. This approach not only educates but also empowers clients to take control of their cybersecurity. The conversation shifts to the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on cybersecurity, particularly in phishing attacks. Westerheim notes that AI is being used to create highly sophisticated phishing emails that are indistinguishable from legitimate communications. She emphasizes the need for businesses to establish acceptable use policies regarding AI and to educate employees about the potential security risks associated with its use. This proactive approach is crucial as many employees may be using AI tools without understanding the implications. As the discussion wraps up, Westerheim reflects on the current mood among small business clients, who are feeling overwhelmed by rapid technological changes and external economic pressures. She stresses the importance of taking small, manageable steps to adapt to these changes rather than succumbing to paralysis by analysis. By fostering open dialogues about technology and security, she aims to guide her clients through this period of uncertainty, helping them to embrace the opportunities that come with technological advancements. What does a change in U.S. presidential administrations have to do with stalled solar farms in Sub-Saharan Africa or wind projects in Southeast Asia? As it turns out, quite a lot. On this episode of Power Perspectives, we explore how U.S. policy shifts are sending ripples through the global financial system—impacting everything from renewable investments in developing countries to grid upgrades on Main Street USA. We're joined by Gautam Jain, Senior Research Scholar at Columbia University's Center on Global Energy Policy and Adjunct Professor at SIPA, to dig into the high-stakes intersection of climate finance, currency risk, and energy geopolitics. Gautam walks us through why the international green finance system is under pressure as the U.S. government scales back funding commitments under the Trump administration. With global investors growing increasingly wary of geopolitical instability, what's next for the energy transition? And how should utility leaders, policymakers, and financial stakeholders respond? It's time for our most beloved Disney adult, John Stamos! That's right, this encore is all about Disney Adults, Disney Secrets, and of course Uncle Jesse. Have Mercy!Picture this, it's a beautiful day in Southern California, you're walking down Main Street USA, the smell of churros in the air, your favorite childhood songs are playing in the background, and in the distance you can even see the beautiful skyline of planet Batuu, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, and the frosty peaks of Matterhorn Mountain. Sounds pretty magical right? We LOVE Disney over here on BTIKP, but some stupid internet trolls just LOVE to hate on anyone who loves Disney as an adult. But, WHY?? Why does the internet get so heated when an adult likes Disney? This makes us want to scream louder than when we're being whipped around on Space Mountain. So we had to call in an expert on this one. This week we are joined by Disney superfan, and our favorite uncle, John Stamos, to chat about his love of Disney, his Disney memorabilia collection, and why people should have mercy with Disney adults. So put on your best pair of Mickey ears, because we're taking you on a ride to The Happiest Place on Earth!
