There's no such thing as a "perfect life", but at every point in time, we have the ability to create "perfect moments". - Daniel Sarpong Jnr Humility is about emotional neutrality. It involves an experience of growth in which you no longer need to put yourself above others, but you don't put yourself below them. There would always be people who have achieved more than you have in certain areas. Being scared and having fear to interact with such people isn't humility; that's a low self esteem. Celebrate other people's wins, but don't let it ever intimidate you. Daniel speaks more on this in today's episode! Listen, Share & Enjoy!

One of life's most difficult experiences is losing a loved one or losing something we were once attached to. It would be somewhat easier if grief followed a linear path, with stages that neatly fit into boxes. But big feelings can emerge all throughout the grieving process. It's human nature to want to avoid painful experiences. When we lose someone or something important to us, we may feel like we won't be able to cope with the pain of grief. But “we only learn about our capacity to handle things by moving through them,” says Wendy Lichtenthal. When we try to stifle or avoid our feelings, they can come on that much stronger when something triggers them, she says. Making space to experience painful emotions allows us to practice our resilience and grow our own internal resources. In this episode, Vanessa talks about the various stages of grief and also the need for us to allow ourselves to go through these stages. Remember, "grief is a natural response to loving someone or something". Though we all have past experiences that may influence how we see ourselves, grief provides an opportunity to reflect on what matters most to us. Listen, Share & Enjoy! In a society in which people are expected to work long hours and pass on vacation days, there is an underlying belief that we must always be productive – which can ultimately take away from opportunities for self-care. But by taking some time out to engage in self-care, you may relieve the pressures of everyday life and reset yourself to get back to a healthy point where productivity is once again maximized. Remember that self-care is all about you. What works for one person may not work for another, but that's the beauty of a self-care routine. Perhaps some suggestions you have heard in the past did not work. Please do not be discouraged. You are encouraged to continue searching until you find the best fit. The catch, though, is that it must be done both intentionally and consistently to have maximum impact. In this episode, Abena shares how she's taking her of herself and tells us that having a sleep routine is one of the most important things you can have as an adult to keep you going without breaking down! A fitness mindset is a mindset that sees life as a journey, rather than a bunch of destinations. Once you truly understand that, you begin to realize that the joy is in the journey. You begin to celebrate your small successes and look at your obstacles and mistakes as challenges rather than failures. You also begin to see through your efforts of consistently taking baby steps, developing GOOD habits, focusing on the process rather than the goal, and eliminating your stinking thinking (in whatever area of life you want to improve) you are developing a fitness mindset' – a mindset that will be the difference between success and failure on your journey to whatever you want to achieve in your life.
