Lifecoach, internet sensation and hilariously funny comedian, JP Sears joins the show again today to talk about how the pandemic has impacted him and his comedic career. Together, they discuss the importance of using your brand for good, why multiple streams of income offer both security and opportunity and why the goodness of humanity is the strongest force of nature. KEY TAKEAWAYS If your brand is not changing that means it is not growing. Use your brand as a force for good. As the world continues to change your brand may shift and evolve along with you. Taking risks is a huge step to growth, relatability and desirability for you and your brand. Necessity is the mother of business. One of the blessings of covid is that it has brought people's attention to where it needed to be. The importance of having multiple streams of income has become more apparent. Having multiple streams of income is security and opportunity. Know where your values are and where you should focus the large majority of your attention. You can then focus small amounts of time on other income-generating tasks that offer you security so that if something hits one of your income sources, you are still financially secure. Self-responsibility and sovereignty have to be the backbone of anybody on social media. Don't let social media be your backbone, or else you might break your back and you are not going to be as robust as you can. Stay playful and childlike. As you get older, become more of a child than you already are. Let yourself be full, be goofy and worry even less about what people are thinking of you. The older we get, the more maturity we have to allow ourselves to be childlike. When you look around at humanity, you will see so many brave people who are awake and who are brave enough to get their points of view from themselves. The goodness of humanity is the strongest force of nature. The force of good that naturally flows through people is flowing strong. BEST MOMENTS “I do comedy in the name of freedom.” “One of the biggest mistakes I made for a long time was underestimating the legitimate business side that social media can offer you.” “Freedom is important to me.” “None of us can predict the future but what we do know is, if you are building a mansion in somebody else's backyard, you don't own that equity.” “We all need to do our best to contribute to positive change in the world.” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ CONTACT METHOD Rob's official website: https://robmoore.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/robmooreprogressive/?ref=br_rs LinkedIn: https://uk.linkedin.com/in/robmoore1979 ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. It is not very often we have the same guest more than once on the TDE podcast, but today we're breaking our own rules and are joined by American spiritual life coach, stand-up comedian and internet sensation who boasts a following of over 1 million on his youtube channel, JP Sears. Together they discuss how doing things that scare you will expand your comfort zone, how the true warriors in life are those who have the biggest tolerance for fear and while it's great to learn from others, it is important to be conscious of the miracle of our own self. KEY TAKEAWAYS Sometimes your plans come from a more limited consciousness, sometimes your plans can be ego-based or based on your expectations that you have gathered throughout life. Having that level of consciousness isn't great, it is sleepy and you don't want your life trajectory to come from that. When you live in the moment and you say yes to doing new things when it feels right, you will achieve better results. When we do things that scares us, that expands us out of our comfort zone. Fear and your comfort zone don't go together, do things that scare you. The goal is not to achieve something new, it is to do something that scares you, when we train ourselves to do scary things then we can do the scary stuff much more easily when it counts the most. Having a purpose is a feeling, it is a sense of fulfilment. Having a purpose and being fulfilled is something that money can't buy, status can't give you and that nobody can give to you, you earn it by typically doing something that scares you that feels meaningful and purposeful. Usually, people don't find their purpose within their comfort zone. The thought process that “money is bad” is the unspiritual part of the spiritual world, from there once we clear that blockage, then you can be authentic with money. Some people think if they're following the path of their heart and spirit they are going to be earning millions. The true warrior in life, business and creativity isn't the one without fear, the true warrior is someone who does things that scare them and someone who has the biggest tolerance for fear. A disruptive entrepreneur is someone who is incredibly in touch with their intuition, their heart and their internal personal power. Which they then go about expressing in the world, as opposed to a mimicking entrepreneur. We want to learn from others, but we also want to be conscious of the miracle of our own self. BEST MOMENTS “Do something that scares you that simultaneously feels purposeful.” “I've got a purpose statement, a mission statement which is intellectual words and something that is meaningful, the true purpose is beyond the mental concept, it is a feeling.” “I don't think we need to let go of fear, we need to let go of avoiding fear.” “When I see people getting angry at me, for supporting Black Lives Matter that strengthens me.” ABOUT THE GUEST JP Sears is an American life coach and internetcomedian. Does your nutrition dogma get in the way of the wisdom of your body? Do you rationalize your commitment to a food paradigm instead of honoring when change is called for? Do you have unresolved emotional pain that expresses as self-sabotage when it comes to your wellness? Harness the power of your mind to re-evaluate your perspective with a sense of humor, common sense, and a great deal of gentleness. Today, enjoy a reboot of an honest, compassionate, and funny conversation between host Christa King of Fitlandia, and guest celebrity JP Sears. Here’s what JP had to say: “From the bottom of my heart, I would dare say, virtually anything the American Heart Association says deserves to be flushed down the toilet.” Because of the corporate agenda and funding into research, these studies aren’t for the greater good of people, but instead putting dollars into their pockets. Christa concurs. She points out that there is conflicting info in the industry and JP uses the example of the days when margarine was touted as being healthy. The Power of Meditation Christa reminds newcomers to the show that Fitlandia is on a mission to end dieting by first helping people change their thought-patterns using Mind Zoning®. Because these are like guided meditations, she explores the power of meditation with JP. JP provides an amazing suggestion for those short on time or starting out. Personally, he does 10 minutes per day and focuses on a practice he learned from Thích Nhất Hạnh, which is a simple breathing meditation. As you breathe in, say to yourself, “I’m breathing in.” As you exhale, say to yourself, “I’m breathing out.” This is easy and approachable for anyone to try. “Meditation is a great service we can give ourselves.” Christa & JP discuss the challenges with life and busy schedules and that we don’t have to be perfect in our health practices. In fact, being aware and open about our triggers can help us keep moving forward. “I used to shame the living crap out of myself. How I’m shaming myself is probably more toxic than the cookie I ate.” End the Shaming Cycle The shaming cycle can take someone back into an old, viscous addictive pattern, but Mind Zoning® can help, as well as being thoughtful about the benefits of that pattern. Looking at things that feel unhealthy always has an element of comfort and provides a sense of feeling in control. Christa & JP speak on the power of planning for travel and staying healthy on the road and rely on Whole Foods to help stay healthy during travel and even search AirBnB listings to ensure access to being able to cook their own meals. So what do Christa & JP eat? It’s similar: focus on veggies, higher on the side of healthy fats, and high-quality protein…and most importantly, don’t follow a dogma and instead focus on growing intuitively with what to eat and learning what’s best from how the body feels. Christa shares a cautionary tale and that if you’re struggling with sugar, refined carb and/or alcohol addictions then tuning into your body could be challenging and her #1 tip: FOOD JOURNAL. Self-Sabotage and Unresolved Wounds Together they get heavy with regards to self-sabotage and looking at the root of self-sabotage. JP speaks to childhood experiences and how we reaffirm disempowering beliefs due to unresolved emotional pain. Christa adds it’s connected to a lack of self-worth and the need to become aware of traumas. She gets inspired to create a Mind Zoning called “The Journey of Courage.” Doing inner child work can be an incredibly powerful process of healing and moving forward. JP and Christa wrap up the show speaking to the power of vulnerability and community and/or tribe to help guide you through your transition. Also, working with a coach or therapist can have a powerful impact. He mentions Brene Brown’s TEDTalk on the Power of Vulnerability where she talks about connection and its power in our lives. “Embrace discomfort. Nobody has ever excelled at anything by avoiding discomfort.” Connect with all of JP’s awesomeness here: Awaken with JP website Awaken with JP YouTube channel Buy the book: How to Be Ultra Spiritual with JP Follow on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook Gratitude for today’s sponsor! Speaking of Partnership: Personal Stories of the Power and Payoffs of Partnership

JP is the proud author of “How To Be Ultra Spiritual.” He is a very active YouTuber where he encourages healing and growth through his humorous and entertainingly informative videos, including his hit Ultra Spiritual comedy series, which has accumulated over 100 million views. And last but not least (at least according to JP) he’s a handsome redhead with majestic blue eyes. You can learn more about JP and his work at AwakenWithJP.com. On writing a book Writing this book was a win before it got into anybody’s hands. It was a whole hero’s journey into himself writing the book. And the fact that it is getting great reviews and selling well is just the cherry on top. How to stay ultra spiritual when you become a global sensation You have to cut all the little people out of your life. He’s done being Ultra Spiritual The Ultra Spiritual character was a great place of freedom for JP. Now he’s finding that when he tries to keep himself just as that character it is constricting and a loss of freedom. Who JP is, is bigger than that character. The real JP is many characters. To allow the whole landscape of self to be fair game feels expansive. A deep moment with JP What benefits us the most isn’t when we see something we already know about ourselves, but when we discover our undiscovered selves. Especially when we see something about ourselves at a feeling level. Amazing partnerships JP is experiencing right now JP was of the mindset that he didn’t want a relationship. That it would take time away from his art and his work for about a year. Then he met a woman and felt feelings for her that he didn’t know existed. And his heart was saying prioritize this relationship. Making this partnership a priority enhances everything. This relationship is based on deep connection instead of shallow companionship and that makes all the difference. This is the first time in his live that he has ever prioritized his partnership with his significant other. What is a connection based relationship? This is a relationship where we want to honor, discover and receive who our partner is. And we give who we really are to our partner. Allowing ourselves to be discovered. This is about surrender and deep intimacy. What is a companionship based relationship? This is a relationship where you are less interested in receiving who your partner is into your life and more interested in making you who I want you to be. And I’m more interested in being who I think you want me to be in order to get your approval and earn your love rather than sharing who I truly am. This is a very control based experience. What is the best partnership / relationship advice you have ever received? Be willing to experience discomfort in a relationship. Both your feeling and your partner”s feelings. If you try to avoid either, it means you’re disconnecting from yourself and/or disconnecting from your partner. So do the things and say the things that you think will scare your partner away. Be willing to risk being authentic. This is unapologetically honoring yourself. Christa intros JP Sears to the show and jumps right into some nutritional controversy with the American Heart Association’s assertion that coconut oil isn’t healthy. Christa wanted to get JP’s take on the situation since the topic was all over social media. She gets inspired to create a Mind Zoning called “The Journey of Courage.” Doing inner child work can be an incredibly powerful process to healing and moving forward. YouTube sensation, JP Sears, visits Mindrolling to talk about his unique form of satire and new book, "How to Be Ultra Spiritual." JP Sears is an emotional healing coach and international teacher, whose work is intended to empower people to empower themselves to live more meaningful lives. JP is most known for his satirical YouTube series, "Awaken With JP." JP's witty and insightful form of comedy shines a light of critical honesty that aims to make us consider ourselves, and life, in a more thoughtful way.
Today we're going to Awaken With JP. That's right, I'm talking to YouTube star, comedian and real-life emotional healing coach JP Sears. He is also currently working on a book titled How to Be Ultra Spiritual, which is coming out March 7th and currently available for pre-order on Amazon. “The way I coach is really all about vulnerability. It's helping people help themselves connect to emotions, feelings, memories and experiences that are essentially stuck in their emotional digestive system.” For the past 15 years, JP has run an emotional healingand coaching practice where he works with people all over the world via Skype. In the past he has also led retreats around the world on different healing and personal empowerment themes for like-minded and like-hearted people to come together to learn, grow, and heal. On the AwakenWithJP YouTube channel, JP creates videos that help people help themselves. This includes the ultra hilarious, Ultra Spiritual Life video series, which uses humor to share messages about health, wellness, and spirituality. One of JP's favorite videos to make, How to Take Yoga Photos for Instagram - Ultra Spiritual Life 34, features JP posing precariously in Australia to teach us… well, probably not how to take yoga photos for Instagram. “How do you create a successful yoga photoshoot? I've got two words for you: man-bulge and man-bun.” His willingness to teach, knows no bounds... “True art gives people what they need, not necessarily what they want, and I think what we need is a deeper connection with yourself.” JP also uses the comedy of Ultra Spiritual Life to tackle very serious concerns. In his fifth video, Using Ayahuasca, JP uses comedy to shine a light on the questionable use of a spiritual and sacred psychedelic by party goers. “I was just really called to break the spell of the secret, voice what was not being voiced, shine the light on a shadow that a lot of people can see but nobody is talking about.” I had SO MUCH fun talking to JP about his journey from life coach, to youtube star, , how he uses comedy in his videos to help others on their spiritual journey, and how he manages to stay grounded through it all..
