The only likely way to end the nightmare of Trump—and Republicans supporting him no matter how much he ruins the country—is for Democrats to win in Republican-leaning states and congressional districts. My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We'll see about that. I really do. Hope it's somebody we want to see. But you know what? Son of a gun. Shout out to my lips. Caroline Leavitt has left it. You get that play on words. Who's going to replace her? She's really good. She's one of the best press secretaries ever. Maybe the best in modern history, to be honest with you. But who's gonna replace her? I think they need a dude now. Yeah. I mean, Carolyn Leavitt, you know, she's like Nancy Lieberman. She could almost get into the NBA. But I think when you have a guy, think about like a Scott Jennings, he's good. Or Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller probably wouldn't be as good because Stephen is really brash and he's got this way of talking about things where he's, and then the president said, so it's kind of like shouting at you. Scott Jennings is more reserved. I would, between the two, I'd probably take Scott Jennings. You guys would, yeah, my producers agree. So Scott Jennings, he'd be a good pick. Who else? I mean, there's some good people out there. And Scott Jennings was a Mitch McConnell guy. So you almost want more rhinos to get inside and see how things work with a real presidency versus some of these institutional guys, these establishment people. I don't, no disrespect, but they just don't, they don't hack, they don't know how to fight. Glad you guys are with me. We talked about being woke in the previous hour and how the left is waking up from woke. Hey, I've got some good news. They're going to probably go after these FBIs. They had 14 informants on Biden corruption. They ran a secret disinformation campaign. They'll probably be firing those guys. Here's another one. Here's a stat, something that should make you feel good. Food stamp enrollment cratered 5.3 million under President Trump. 5.3 million less people getting snapped. So figuring they get, I don't know what they get. What do they get? A few $100 a month? They got 1000 bucks a month for food, which would be a lot, right? That's 5.3 billion. So do the math, cut it in half, whatever it may be. If they get $500 a month from SNAP, I don't know. I just know this. I'd like to have a SNAP card. Kevin, wouldn't you be embarrassed? No, why would I be embarrassed? I'd be getting my money back. I've got thousands of dollars. in the government that I gave back. I want my money back. And then I look at what they spend it on, shoot, I want triple my money back. I don't know about you guys. Anyway, Arizona, the biggest drop, 54.8% decrease in SNAP. That's how, think about that. That's gotta be some illegals. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. MAGA world continues to express outrage over Jon Ossoff's "travel with Natalie" remarks, including an over-the-top rant from Scott Jennings that is being seen as the pundit's shameless audition for the open White House press secretary job. Dan and Jon react to Harp-gate, an MS NOW report that says Harp declined to seek a security clearance, and the New York Times reporting that Pete Hegseth brings his wife to highly sensitive meetings to "keep him out of trouble." They then turn to the midterms to unpack Angie Nixon's surprising defeat of Alexander Vindman in the Florida Democratic Senate primary, Dan Sullivan vs. Dan Sullivan in the Alaska general election, Darline Graham's historically embarrassing debate answer in South Carolina, and the impact the debate over data centers is having on the Ohio Senate election. On Fox News, Scott Hannity tries to scare his geriatric audience with Nixon's platform. Meanwhile, over at Bari Weiss' CBS, Gayle King, in an interview with Nixon, claims that she campaigned with Hasan Piker, which is not true. In desperation to tie Nixon to Piker, King asks if she would campaign with Piker, and Nixon responds by saying she is focused on Florida. Data shows that Angie Nixon overwhelming won in the least college-educated areas of Florida which is very rare for a progressive candidate. Andrea Gonzalez-Ramirez, Senior Writer at The Cut, joins the program to discuss her piece on Puerto Rico's water crisis. David Morales, candidate running to be the Mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, joins for a conversation about his platform and campaign. In the Fun Half: Brandon Sutton and Matt Binder join. Is Scott Jennings auditioning for the White House briefing room? The CNN conservative went to the mat defending Trump aide Natalie Harp just as his name is circulating as a possible next press secretary. Playbook's Dasha Burns and Will Steakin unpack what his performance tells us about the job he may want — and new details about another major White House departure. Then, Playbook contributor Megan Messerly joins the panel to talk about what the 2026 primaries tell us about the fading power of the original anti-Trump Resistance, Darline Graham's rough foreign-policy moment shaking up the South Carolina Senate runoff, and Donald Trump unveiling his new White House helipad. Plus, Harry and Meghan may be headed back to Britain — but is America's right wing ready to say goodbye?
America doesn't have an Iran deal and gas prices are skyrocketing, but don't worry, at least we have a fancy new driveway and helicopter pad at the White House. President Construction Project is back at it with another way to spend money. Trump called reporters to the South Lawn for an impromptu tour of his new driveway replacement and a look at the progress on his new helipad. Trump also says the driveway is getting an upgrade with California-mined white granite that he says is more fitting for the White House. Standing near the carved granite helipad with the presidential seal, Trump presented the construction as a central part of his legacy. Speaking of goings on at the White House, we are learning more about the odd relationship between Trump and his aide Natalie Harp. Reports indicate that she once rode in the trunk when there weren't enough seats in Trump's vehicle so they wouldn't be separated...and that for more than a year, she refused to get a security clearance.

CNN wasn't done with Jon Ossoff's smear of White House aide Natalie Harp, so Erin Burnett booked Harp's estranged brother Preston Harp as her primetime witness, a man whose only photos with his sister are from Disneyland roughly 25 years ago. Burnett prefaced her own big scoop with a line admitting he almost certainly knew nothing about it, then asked him to explain Secret Service protocols and why Donald Trump relies on his sister. Scott Jennings was the only voice on the network willing to ask what would happen if he read off the names of Ossoff's female staffers and speculated the same way.Become a Townhall VIP member with promo code "LARRY": https://townhall.com/subscribeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
During The Charlie James Show segment, host Charlie James checks in with local callers regarding political developments in South Carolina. Callers discuss high early voter turnout numbers in Spartanburg County for the upcoming runoff compared to the primary, debate candidate endorsements, and question Darlene Graham's foreign policy knowledge. The discussion turns to the National Right to Life endorsement of Graham, which led board member Randy Page to resign in protest. Finally, the segment wraps up with James addressing an unconfirmed rumor that political commentator Scott Jennings could be named the next White House Press Secretary.

DESCRIPTION: Joe Rogan appears to finally be coming to terms with the scale of Donald Trump's corruption—but is it too little, too late? Plus, Hasan Piker threatens to sue CNN commentator Scott Jennings for defamation, and disturbing updates reveal the reportedly abysmal conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Dave breaks it all down on the morning edition of The Rush Hour podcast.
Peggy Flanagan is Tim Walz's lieutenant governor and the Democrats' new Senate nominee in Minnesota — and in her first round of national interviews she threw Walz straight under the bus over the fraud scandal, saying "the buck stops with him" and "more should have been done sooner." She was then asked twice whether there should be any age limit on gender-affirming care for a ten-year-old, refused to answer, dodged whether she wants to abolish ICE, and attacked the Laken Riley Act. Her first big fundraising email claimed no Native woman has ever served in the Senate, which is news to Elizabeth Warren, and Scott Jennings summed the whole thing up on CNN NewsNight with Abby Phillip.Become a Townhall VIP member with promo code "LARRY": https://townhall.com/subscribeSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

One reason this happened?: Under-sampling middle-aged Black voters and rural Democrats— Clear evidence that DSA and DSA-aligned candidates are underperforming with Black voters — the same coalition that blocked Bernie Sanders— Why 2026 is likely a referendum on Trump and the economy, but 2028 could see the “socialism” label stick and drive voters back to Republicans— Trump's recent endorsement flops (Darlene Graham runoff, Mike Lindell, Tennessee) are signs his iron grip on the GOP is loosening (or are they???)— Jeff Flake's arc from pure conservative to endorsing a Democrat Jon Ossoff, and the death of the anti-Trump lane in GOP primaries— Hunter Biden's Tucker Carlson interview, fathers-and-sons dynamics, and the complicated human side of political families— Trump's secret catering-truck plane switch amid Iran threat concerns: security necessity vs. bad optics and press deception— Speculation on the next White House press secretary (Kari Lake, Spencer Pratt, or Scott Jennings?)— And MUCH more!Subscribe to Matt Lewis on Substack: https://mattklewis.substack.com/Support Matt Lewis at Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/mattlewisFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MattLewisDCTwitter: https://twitter.com/mattklewisInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattlewisreels/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVhSMpjOzydlnxm5TDcYn0A– Who is Matt Lewis? –Matt K. Democratic socialist Francesca Hong has been kicked out of the Wisconsin gubernatorial race. Is this a sign that Democrats are getting tired of socialists? The New Yorker actually asked the co-chair of the DSA hard questions. Why are some on the Right rehabilitating Hunter Biden? Text messages from Dr. Fauci have been released that contradict his public statements about how safe the COVID vaccines were for pregnant women. It has been two months since we last knew the truth about Mitch McConnell's health status, but he allegedly called Scott Jennings again. CannCon and Ashe bring on voting systems expert Clay Parikh for an urgent breakdown of a wild overnight development in Wisconsin, where five out of nine election USB drives reportedly downloaded audit logs instead of actual vote totals, delaying results and prompting officials to call it simple human error. Clay walks through the technical documentation and explains why that explanation does not hold up nearly as cleanly as election officials are claiming. From there the show shifts into a look at a wave of primary challenges against long tenured incumbents, playing viral clips of two very different congressional moments and revisiting a memorable Donna Brazile and Scott Jennings clash over whether the DSA can fairly be compared to the Tea Party movement. A dense, fast moving episode with a genuine breaking news feel.
CNN's KFile caught Abdul El-Sayed hiding over 100 YouTube videos — a 4th of July takedown and a pitch to swap the Second Amendment for healthcare. Scott Jennings called it out on air, then Adam Kinzinger dropped an Obama ballot-fraud bombshell on David Axelrod. FAN MAIL--We would love YOUR feedback--Send us a Text MessageSeventy percent is not a fringe. If you have ever swallowed your words while someone called basic common sense “radical,” this Liberty Minute is for you. We start with a blunt claim: you are being sold a fake 50-50 story, and it is designed to make you doubt what you already know is true.We walk through why we created the free Crazy vs. Common Sense newsletter on Substack and what it is actually for: giving you receipts before the next awkward moment with a coworker, a cable anchor, or your kid's teacher. Instead of hot takes, we read the political books and history books and boil them down with a clear verdict. Each issue runs through timeless lenses that outlast fads: the US Constitution, the Western tradition, and Catholic teaching as historically taught. You get what the author nails, where the argument falls short, and our plain-language “crazy or common sense” call.Along the way, we connect the project to Thomas Paine and the American habit of saying the obvious thing out loud in print when institutions normalize dysfunction. We also dig into polling that shows broad agreement across party lines, including questions where majorities label certain policies “completely crazy,” which raises a bigger question: who benefits when normal people stay quiet? If you want political analysis grounded in books, data, and moral clarity, subscribe, share this with a friend who feels worn down, and leave a review so more people can find it. In part one of Red Eye Radio with Gary McNamara and Eric Harley, after allied "parameters" were met over the weekend, President Trump announced on Truth Social that he ordered the US military to hold off on further strikes on Iran just one day after warning of escalating air strikes. Also Mark Halperin says Iran will not open the Hormuz Strait without somehow making money on it / Caitlin Clark finally addresses the transgender-athlete controversy by carefully avoiding to take a side / audio from Scott Jennings on the DOJ dropping Reflecting Pool vandalism case against Olympian David Hearn / audio from Bill Maher on woke socialists / audio from former Democratic Senator Joe Manchin on not supporting the DSA / and John Fetterman's favorability rating plummets. Dr. Anthony Fauci just sat in front of a Senate committee and invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times rather than answer a single question under oath about his COVID decisions. This hearing came right after Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) released hundreds of pages from Fauci's personal diaries. Those entries show the gap between what he told the public and what he was writing privately about masks, lockdowns, the lab-leak theory, and his own rising celebrity. Instead of explaining any of it, Fauci chose silence. Rand Paul warned there would be repercussions. Josh Hawley called him out for contempt of the American people. His attorney even got removed from the room. Regular Americans lived through the school closures, the job losses, the family separations, and the ever-changing rules that Fauci helped shape. Now the man at the center of it all won't even say what day of the week it is without pleading the Fifth. That should tell you everything about how accountable our institutions really are. Pat also covered: Saudi Arabia joins the United States in the fight against Iran. Is America's relationship with Israel finally back to normal? Is Iran winning the propaganda war against the U.S.? John Thune keeps defying the president and the American people. Does Chuck Schumer support abolishing the Senate? Do you think pleading the Fifth 111 times is the move of an innocent man? What do you make of a public health official who spent years telling us what to do, then refuses to answer questions once the diaries come out? Today's Headlines: Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear issued Mitch McConnell an ultimatum — prove you can serve or resign — pointing out that if Mitch can chat with Scott Jennings for 20 minutes he can call into a Kentucky news station. Lindsey Graham's memorial service at the Capitol brought together an unlikely guest list including Zelensky and Netanyahu, both of whom used the funeral as an opportunity for behind-closed-doors Trump meetings — Netanyahu called it "one of the best conversations I've had with Trump, and Zelensky said it was "good" and they discussed Patriot missiles and Ukraine diplomacy. In other Trump adjacent news, FIFA president Gianni Infantino announced plans to sell a $20 billion stake in the World Cup to private investors led by Thrive Capital, owned by Jared Kushner's brother Joshua Kushner and his wife Karlie Kloss, because of course it is, with reactions from FIFA's 211 member associations being nearly universally negative. On the AI beat, AI companies are now buying rare books in bulk and destroying them to scan the pages for model training, because they've run out of internet content that isn't their own slop. Additionally, Elon Musk is suing the state of Minnesota over its ban on AI nudification, arguing that generating non-consensual sexual images of people without their knowledge is "free speech." Finally, ICE agents are going undercover at at least 15 airports nationwide to arrest foreign nationals with expired visas while traveling — including spouses of American citizens — using airline data shared through TSA, and the administration simultaneously created a new rule channeling nearly half a million asylum seekers directly into deportation proceedings without a hearing, because due process is apparently optional now.
