H1-S2 full 00:00 you 00:13 All welcome back to the program. Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Robert in Blue Ridge. How you doing, Doing well, how are you? I'm great. What's up, man? 00:24 i'm hearing lindsey graham spent eighteen million and advertising to get a job that's going to play one hundred and seventy four thousand dollars a year can you please explain that made because i just can't agree that don't make a whole lot of sense does it that doesn't seem like a good return on investment to me i in fact i heard it was more like i was saying one per one person said they do you spend twenty seven million 00:49 I that's a lot of money. I can't buy them, Liz. I can't either. I appreciate it, Robert. Thank you very, very much. But you folks in Greenville and Spartanburg, and my listeners here, you can take something away from this, that you were the only folks in the state of South Carolina to say no to Lindsey Graham. You said, nah, baby, nah. We don't want your 01:19 Little Mermaid, Bubble Wand, Toton Self to be our Senator. In Spartanburg County, Mark Lynch won with 43 % of the vote. Lindsey Graham got 41. Greenville County, Mark Lynch got 44.89 % of the vote. Lindsey Graham got 40 % of the vote. Lindsey won in every, let me just, oh, yeah, look at this. 01:43 Yeah, Lindsey Graham winning big down in Charleston. You go to Berkeley County, Lindsey Graham winning huge there. Let's go to Lexington County, Lindsey Graham winning big there, 61%. Richland County, 63%. Let's just take a look. I mean, just go up to Cherokee. Lindsey got 52. Pickens County. Wait, this is what gets me. Pickens County. 02:11 You guys showed up and booed Lindsey Graham practically off the stage. 02:18 Right there in downtown Pickens. 02:24 And then you turn around and vote for them with 45 % of the vote. I don't get it. don't get it. Oconee County, Lindsay 51%, York County, 48, Lancaster County, 61%. I don't get it. I promise you, I don't get that. I really don't. We need change. Well, just vote for the same old guy. We appreciate that. So, I mean, that to me. 02:54 That to me is amazing. It really is. So we got six more years of Lindsey Graham, eight actually, um so to speak. Well, six and a half. um 03:08 More years of Lindy Graham. 03:12 And as much as he has, and I can't understand why people can't see it when he does it. That's the only thing. Maybe people aren't just paying attention. But Lindsey Graham will stab Donald Trump in the back. He did it just a few weeks ago with the Iran deal. Talking about how the Iran deal was bad and was going to be a victory for the Iranians. And even Donald Trump had to come out with a statement saying, you people don't even know what the deal is and you're out there talking bad about it. 03:43 If Lindsey Graham 03:47 were in any other position in the Senate, I don't think Trump would have endorsed him. I really don't. I don't think Trump would have endorsed him. But right now he's head of the Budget Committee, and he will probably be once again head of the Senate Judiciary Committee. um If he beats Dr. Annie Andrews, we'll see. But Lindsey Graham right now to Donald Trump is a necessary evil. 04:15 And I'm going to stick by my prediction that he wins this thing in November. He's going to turn on Trump. Let's go to Doug in Simpsonville. Doug, welcome. Hey, nice talking to you again. I just want to thank Word 98.9 because I think if it wasn't for you guys, ah Lindsey would have won in Greenville. ah Maybe. 04:44 You've been putting out the word, uh well, literally. anyway, I just wanted to give a tip to the hat to the whole team. Well, I appreciate that. Thank you. I wish you covered all of South Carolina. And I know some callers have come in and said, hey, King, just uh link your coverage to some other cell towers or something. I wish it was an easy solution. uh 05:14 hey i have i have disagreements with you sometimes with care etc but i'm nine percent of the issues uh... uh the ... 581 Wed, 10 Jun 2026 19:33:00 +0000 kzYxxHikjOv3kjk0Pw8cJbHLjFSJSkPg news The Charlie James Show Podcast news H1-S2 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm. It's Election Day—and the state is boiling. Candidates are making their final pitch, accusations are flying, and by the end of the hour we're deep into a national immigration and job-market firestorm involving H-1B visas, fake degrees, and political power brokers. But it all starts at the ballot box.
Hour 3 full 00:04 I polls close one hour 53 minutes. I'm excited. Let's go to Michael in Spartanburg. Michael, welcome. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. I just got to disagree with you about Ralph Norman. Okay. Watching his debates. He said anything that got past the bill. 00:35 Well, what I go on is the fact that we sat down with Joe and I sat down with him for an hour where these debates they get what 40 seconds to respond. 00:47 Yeah, so I just have to go with my own personal experience from everybody. listen, hey man, you vote for who you want to vote for. That's fine with me. Long as you get out there and vote. This is an interesting text. It says, Charlie, this morning, Mike was saying that Lindsey Graham has stood by Trump the whole time. I also listened to Tara talking about how Lindsey Graham and his BFF, John McCain, falsely accused Trump of colluding with the Russians. 01:16 and handed the fake dossier to the FBI. I'd hardly call that standing by Trump. Trump is only endorsing Graham out of pragmatism. That's right. Graham is a necessary evil in the Trump world. But I'm going to make this prediction again. You wait and see. Lindsey Graham, look at what Lindsey's had to do. He's had to spend $27 million on this campaign. 01:44 To some reports, Lindsey Graham spent $27 million against Mark Lynch. That's a lot of money. Because Lindsey Graham knows he's in trouble. 01:56 So, Lindsey needed Donald Trump, but he still just stabbed Donald Trump in the back, and I'll give you a perfect example. A couple of weeks ago, and this is, see, that's the thing, when people say, oh, Lindsey stands by Donald Trump, because they only listen to what Lindsey Graham says. 02:14 That's all they do. You ask some of these people, why do think Lindsey Graham stands by Donald Trump? Well, because I heard that ad that Lindsey Graham stands by Donald Trump. Wait a minute, hold on. Let's dig a little deeper into that. You go and you look, just a couple of weeks ago, Lindsey Graham was saying that the... 02:46 Iran deal was a bad deal and that it would hand victory to Iran. 02:56 Now here's the funny thing about that. So Lindsey came out and he criticized the Iran deal. But the thing about that was Lindsey had no idea what the deal was. Nobody knew what the deal was. Lindsey was not privy to the deal. Even Donald Trump came out and he said, all of these panicans out there talking about the deal, we don't have a deal yet. There is no deal. So Lindsey Graham came out and stabbed Donald Trump in the back. The only time Lindsey Graham agrees with Donald Trump on Iran is when he thinks 03:26 Donald Trump's gonna put boots on the ground and we all know that's exactly what he wants. 03:32 So no, I don't see Lindsey Graham as an ally. So there you go. All right, let's go to Michael from Rock Hill. Michael, welcome. 03:44 Oh, Michelle, how are you? I'm sorry. I was spelled wrong. I appreciate what's Hey, welcome. 03:52 I'm doing good, what's up? 04:09 Yes. right. You're either going to vote in the Republican primary or you're to vote in the Democrat primary. 04:21 Well, because you can't vote in both primaries. I don't think there's any state to just allow you to vote in uh just one, one, you know, both parties' primaries. 04:39 Maybe this is my first primary. 04:45 No, but this is, all now maybe so. Maybe you've never, maybe you just have voted in the general election in the past. This is the primary to decide who the candidate is going to be to go on to the general election. Okay. Okay? All right, That's not the way it goes. All right, Michelle, I appreciate it. Thank you so much for calling. Charlie, I remember the Pickens rally. Trump said, be easy on Lindsay. has uses, or yeah, he said he needs them with the Democrats, whatever. 05:14 Let's go to Tory in Simpsonville. Tory, welcome. Hey, Charlie. Yes, sir. It seems unconstitutional uh violation of the First Amendment. um Why do they have stickers up or posters up saying that there's no photography ... 1885 Tue, 09 Jun 2026 22:04:00 +0000 2yH3ouHQ1ycgzroJpJPQKL3hPH7urOrr news The Charlie James Show Podcast news Hour 3 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm. Hour 4 full 00:12 All right, you have got 53 minutes to get to the polls. Let's go to Oh, Donna, I was just getting ready to go to you and see what kind of questions you had. Let's go to Will from Greer. Will, welcome. 00:27 early and then what's up 00:34 i know where i could do that area do you know you can take it to the democratic national committee uh... that would be uh... the idea i could i'd but there was a moment there you go absolutely absolutely and we appreciate your coverage 00:52 I'm very thorough. Just wanted to tell you thank you, Well, I appreciate it. Well, thank you very much. That means the world to me. um Somebody said today, it was a funny little text. They said, Charlie, I decided to do something different today and vote Democrat. And the poll worker asked me how many ballots I wanted. And I thought that was pretty funny. OK, let's go to Donna, because I know she held on for a long time. Donna, welcome. What can I do for you? 01:19 Charlie, thank you for covering all this. Listen, I want to talk about two things, term limits and flimsy. Regarding the term limits, in general, I do agree with them. But if I've seen someone who's been a solid constitutionalist and referring to, this case, Ralph Norman, when that person was talking about who to vote for, he's been, I mean, he is like at the top of the list on sticking up with the constitutional, all of his policies, he's gone through the different layers. 01:43 I appreciate long-term and things, but wouldn't we rather have somebody that's a solid constitutionalist staying in there and going through the layers and getting to the top than to not have them and have the rest of the rhinos and the lefties um in those positions? I believe that. see both sides of that story because you certainly want the bad ones to be term-limited, but isn't that up to us ultimately to decide how long those people stay in Congress? 02:11 Yep, I think so. Yeah, we can vote him out if we don't like him. And unfortunately, too many people get fooled by the rhetoric. Speaking of which, Flimsy is he suddenly becomes Mr. Conservative before every election. But I remember him being part of, oh yeah, it was Russia collusion on Trump. Every stinking bit of that has been proven wrong. Remember how he worked with John McCain, his buddy, that scumbag? And didn't, Flimsy, don't you remember him yelling that Trump could go to hell, quote unquote? 02:39 If you want America to be great again, tell Donald Trump to go to hell. Yeah, I remember him saying that he would have shot the J-6ers in the head. Oh my God, that's the worst. people are still... And then the other thing is on all of these Lynch accusations that he's doing, all of that. 40 years ago, Mark Lynch was drug alcohol problem. He went through it. This man has been clean for decades. Right. And not only that, he started a rehab. 03:08 clinic or foundation. He rehabs a lot of people and he employs a whole lot of them. I think that we can be fine with somebody that learned how evil that was 40 freaking years ago. Yeah. And I don't think you can compromise. You can't make that man bend his back. He is so rigid in his values. And just again, comparing to the Constitution and the man checks off every box. All right. There you go, Donna. I appreciate it. Let's go to Shelley in Greenville. How you doing, Shelley? 03:38 hello and yes and and and and and and and and 03:56 being again term limit having been in office about twenty years and i'm hoping you can help me i hope i don't make it work that i'm i listen to wrap up that at an event and he said him a career politician is someone who'd stay in office like in congress i guess maybe the senate for years and years it doesn't get much done and he had term limited him now in uh... 04:26 South Carolina Senate, South Carolina House and the Congress. So I don't know, can you help me explain? H2-S2 full 00:04 All right, let's go. The phones are down to Chico and Pakalett. How you doing, Chico? I'm doing very well. And thank you so much for what you do, sir. I'm just glad to be able to talk to you again. I'm going to read off what I'm planning on doing here in just the next few minutes. But I wanted to mention to you, you brought up LBJ. He's not a really popular Texas president. Right. You might want to look up the treatment. It was it's it's it's described as a 00:33 almost hypnotic experience and rendered the target stunned and helpless. And it's what he would do to people that would, that he had confrontation with fellow senators or whatever. Anyway, it's creepy. Yeah. Look it up. It's called the treatment and he would do that to people. I would read it out, but I don't want to waste time. That's okay. Who are you voting for? Richard Nixon was a far, far better man. And just real quick. 01:01 When he flew into Harlingen, Texas one time during his presidency, they sent a hearse to pick him up. All right. So I'm going for Mr. Ralph Norman. I'm going for Mr. David Stumbo. I'm going for Mr. Danny Ford. have nothing against Cody, but I'm going for Mr. Danny Ford. Mark Lynch. I want to ask you between 01:27 I'm kind of holding my nose on this a little bit. think I'm going for William Timmons and Abe Harris. Okay. And do you know anything about Mike Stacey? I do not. I do not know anything about Mike Stacey. No big deal. And I'm going to vote yes on those two questions. And I want to thank you all for everything that you do because, very important, I travel a lot. Yeah. So last time I called you, I told you that. 01:54 I come back in for just a couple of days and I have a very, very small limited amount of time to make up my mind about these elections. You guys are right on. I trust you. And this is the I take your opinions very seriously. Thank you for what you do, sir. I appreciate it. Chico, our absolute best. Well, thank you very much. You got about 35 minutes to get to that poll, Chico. Don't speed, but make haste if you wouldn't mind. 02:23 35 minutes until the polls close. We are going to be out of the foundry at Judson Mill. I would love to see you folks out there. It's going to be a great, great night. We're going to be bringing you all of your election results. And man, I tell you what, it's going to be a race. in some of these races, they're not going to be over tonight. Governor's race, not going to be over tonight. um We're definitely going to go to a runoff on that. That's just a statistical. 02:51 probability, a very good one. One of the things that I found it funny. 02:58 how all of these people are saying that, you know, that we support President Trump. and we know that Trump is the gold standard. We understand that. But Pam Leavitt said something today. She was like, she was like, Henry McMaster is stood by Donald Trump. And I thought, well, well, well, wait a minute. Hold on. Henry McMaster is stood by Donald Trump? I can name you two instances where he hasn't stood by Donald Trump. 03:29 Instance number one, when our state legislature here in South Carolina decided not to go along with the one big beautiful bill in giving us the no tax on tips, no tax on over times, tax breaks for seniors, they did not do that. And what did Henry McMaster do? He did what Henry McMaster does, nothing. He did absolutely nothing. 03:57 So then that's instance number one. Number two is back in January, the whole redistricting thing really started ramping up and members of the Freedom Caucus started saying, hey, we need to redistrict South Carolina. We need to do away with Jim Clyburn's district. We need to get all that done. And what did the House do? They said, well, no, we don't want to do that. And our governor, Henry McMaster, said, 04:26 He didn't see any need for it. 04:29 So then what happened? He waited until he felt like he could get some sort of a deal to even, and he did this half-hea ... 362 Tue, 09 Jun 2026 22:33:00 +0000 zoCujV9Qj7Vjocq6nElgNDUaoRar0nfv news The Charlie James Show Podcast news H2-S2 The Charlie James Show originates from News/Talk 989 WORD, The Upstate's #1 Talk Station, weekdays 3-7pm. California has been allowing people to register to vote using gym membership cards. That’s just one of the explosive findings in a report issued by the Justice Department. People can also use debit cards of insurance cards – meaning a good many illegals had the opportunity to vote. The Justice Department says they have launched a number of investigations into voter fraud. This as the vote counting still continues – and it may take 2 or 3 more weeks. And with every passing day – the late vote tallies always benefit the Democrats. Most recently evidence was discovered that a 125-year-old woman voted. Martina McBride has pulled out of the America 250 celebration set for the Washington Mall. She claims it’s because of politics. I wish I could tell you that I’m surprised by McBride’s cowardice, but I’m not. When it comes to modern-day entertainers, courage is hard to come by. But I am troubled by her lack of patriotism. Martina McBride had a chance to be a part of a diverse soundtrack to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday. Instead, she chose to be a partisan rather than a patriot. SUBTITLE South Carolina Senate challenger blasts establishment politics while a viral Seattle neighborhood barricade shows what happens when citizens lose trust in public safety. HOOK A heated Senate race in South Carolina collides with a shocking scene out of Seattle—where residents are literally building barricades to stop nightly gunfire. Meanwhile, GOP challenger Mark Lynch escalates his war on Lindsey Graham, calling him “out of touch” and accusing him of fueling endless foreign conflict and immigration-driven strain on the states. SUMMARY South Carolina Senate candidate Mark Lynch joined the program to discuss tightening polling, rising political tension, and his escalating primary battle against incumbent Senator Lindsey Graham. Lynch argued that Graham is losing support due to voter frustration over inflation, immigration policy, and continued U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts. He framed the race as a referendum on establishment Republican leadership versus an “America First” direction. He also responded to ongoing attack ads accusing him of supporting drug legalization, strongly denying the claims while acknowledging his past struggles with addiction, including a decades-old cocaine trafficking arrest. Lynch described his recovery, pardon, and long-term work in faith-based rehabilitation programs. The campaign discussion emphasized immigration pressure, H-1B visa competition, and housing affordability concerns, with Lynch claiming South Carolina is under strain from population growth and infrastructure limitations. Later in the broadcast, attention shifted to a viral situation in Seattle, where residents in a middle-class neighborhood have constructed makeshift barricades—filled with heavy materials—to block streets after repeated shootings. The move comes amid claims of reduced police presence and rising gang activity, sparking a debate over public safety, civic responsibility, and government response. The juxtaposition of political campaigning and on-the-ground civil unrest underscored a broader theme of the episode: institutions failing to meet public expectations, and citizens reacting in increasingly direct ways. KEY POINTS Mark Lynch challenges Lindsey Graham's leadership and voting record Claims establishment GOP is out of step with voters on immigration and inflation Lynch addresses attack ads and acknowledges past addiction history Frames campaign as “America First vs. Uniparty” contest Seattle residents build barricades amid repeated shootings Debate over police response and civic self-help measures Broader theme: institutional distrust and political polarization QUOTE OF THE DAY “South Carolinians aren't stupid—they read between the lines.” SOCIAL MEDIA POST
Mark Lynch says Graham is “desperate” as polling tightens and GOP voters revolt over immigration, inflation, and foreign wars. HOOK A fiery South Carolina Senate showdown is escalating fast. Republican challenger Mark Lynch joins the show to accuse Senator Lindsey Graham of backing endless wars, mass immigration spending, and attack ads built on “lies.” Lynch also opens up about his criminal past, recovery journey, and why he believes Graham is vulnerable for the first time in decades. SUMMARY South Carolina Senate candidate Mark Lynch joined the program to discuss new polling, his growing campaign momentum, and escalating attacks from Senator Lindsey Graham's allies. Lynch claimed Graham's support is collapsing as voters grow frustrated over inflation, immigration, and foreign policy. During the interview, Lynch criticized Graham for supporting continued involvement in Middle East conflicts and approving billions in spending tied to illegal immigration and refugee programs. He argued South Carolina families are being left behind while infrastructure, jobs, and affordability continue to worsen. Lynch also directly addressed attack ads accusing him of supporting the legalization of cocaine and marijuana. He denied the claims, explaining they stem from selectively edited footage and discussions about his personal past. Lynch acknowledged a decades-old cocaine trafficking arrest and DUIs before detailing how faith and addiction recovery transformed his life. He said he later received a pardon and has spent decades helping others through recovery ministries in the Upstate. The conversation also focused heavily on the broader Republican divide between establishment figures and America First conservatives. Lynch portrayed Graham as a “Republican in name only” and framed the race as an opportunity for South Carolina voters to reject the old guard. Throughout the interview, Lynch emphasized economic concerns, infrastructure strain from population growth, and opposition to expanded foreign worker programs. He called for manufacturing investment, stronger border enforcement, and America First economic policies. The segment closed with Lynch urging supporters to volunteer, pray, and mobilize ahead of the June 9 primary, calling the race a historic opportunity to remove Graham from office. Today's AmperWave Daily brings together a high-intensity mix of political conflict, campaign controversy, and national tension. At the center is the escalating South Carolina Senate race between challenger Mark Lynch and incumbent U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, featuring sharp attacks over war policy, immigration, polling, and campaign ads. The show also expands into broader national issues: crime and self-defense debates in Seattle, a warning about artificial intelligence reinforcing human bias, and renewed tensions surrounding Iran negotiations and global military risk involving Donald Trump.
Send us Fan MailLindsey Graham gets booed in his own backyard and a challenger steps forward with a very different pitch. We sit down with Mark Lynch, a Greenville business owner, church deacon, and longtime grassroots organiser, to hear why he's running for the US Senate in South Carolina and why he thinks the upstate is ready to replace a career incumbent. Along the way, we talk candidly about faith, family, and the cost of standing in the fire once national money and attack ads show up.We dig into the issue that matters most to us: pro life conviction with equal protection under the law. Mark lays out why he believes life begins at conception, why “15 weeks” still leaves room for injustice, and why laws should protect the unborn the same way they protect the born. We also wrestle with endorsements, asking how major pro life organisations can support candidates who accept later abortion limits. If you care about pro life legislation, Christian conservative politics, or how values translate into votes, this part will challenge you. Then we shift to the mechanics of power: grassroots organising, prayer teams, Trump's endorsement decisions, and why a constitutional voting record matters more than campaign branding. Mark also responds to drug related smear ads by clarifying his stance on controlled substances and sharing a personal addiction recovery testimony that reframes his past as redemption rather than scandal. We close with a practical push for South Carolina's open primary, how to help, and where listeners can get involved.Subscribe for more conversations at the intersection of faith, culture, and public life, share this with a friend in South Carolina, and leave a review so more people can find the show. We begin with the California gubernatorial debate. Two Republicans and a slew of Democrats hoping to be Gavin Newsom’s successor. One issue in particular generated a lot of controversy – whether or not truck drivers should be required to understand English. It’s seems to be a reasonable requirement. We should want anybody driving an 80 thousand pound truck to know what the word “yield” means or “sharp curve ahead.” But California Democrats say forcing black and brown Californians and illegal immigrants to know what the word “stop means is racial profiling – and in some cases – a form of terrorism.” What say you, America? In the final hour of the April 20, 2026, broadcast, Charlie James tackled the intersection of labor and demographics, starting with a critical look at voter drives, redistricting, and the economic impact of cheap illegal labor with guest Mark Lynch. The conversation shifted to a major cultural trend: a surge in spirituality, with 42% of Gen Z men (ages 18–29) now identifying as people of faith, a sharp rise from 2025 levels. The hour concluded with a heavy volume of listener calls on the WORD line, where the audience debated the causes of this youth religious revival and further engaged with Mark Lynch on the political consequences of shifting labor markets.
The April 20th, 2026, Charlie James Show covered the Strait of Hormuz crisis and military actions against Iran, while critiquing JD Vance's diplomacy and SC's unaccountable legislature. James addressed local concerns like judicial reform, the I-85 deputy shooting, and poor road conditions, alongside national topics like race-based redistricting and Scott Bessent's tax advice. The program concluded by highlighting the 42% of Gen Z men finding faith and audience reactions to the "religious revival" and the policies of Mark Lynch.
In the opening segment of the second hour of The Charlie James Show on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Charlie transitioned from Tax Day frustrations to the rising economic pressure of oil and gas prices, which remain projected to stay above $3 per gallon through 2027. This led into a broader discussion on conservatism and the internal battle for the GOP's future, specifically highlighting the primary challenge against Senator Lindsey Graham by Greenville businessman Mark Lynch. The segment addressed a reported whisper campaign aimed at Lynch's "America First" candidacy, as he attempts to position himself as a more conservative alternative to the long-serving incumbent in South Carolina's upcoming primary.
The second hour of The Charlie James Show focused on the economic and geopolitical fallout of rising oil and gas prices, linking the surge to current foreign policy and the "America First" conservative movement. Charlie contrasted Donald Trump's aggressive stance on Iran and domestic energy production with current costs, fueling a discussion on the whisper campaign targeting U.S. Senate candidate Mark Lynch. After taking caller feedback on the global energy crisis, the hour concluded with a call to action regarding state legislation, specifically urging listeners to contact their representatives to vote "no" on bills H.3831 and H.5071, which critics argue would negatively impact South Carolina taxpayers and infrastructure.

00:00 Let's go to the WRD talk line. We'll talk to Chris in Greenville. How you doing, Chris? Pretty good, Charlie. Have we ever stopped to think that maybe we only got like a handful of politicians that are actually fighting for us up there and the rest of them are just happy with with all the corruption and stealing and thieving going on? Yeah. Yeah. I really, I really think you're absolutely right. There's just a few, there's an even fewer in Columbia. 00:27 that are actually fighting for us. I mean, there are some good ones there. But even like Senator John Kennedy, I mean, this guy, he talks a good game. But if you look at his voting record, like it's abysmal. Yeah. So you're right. I mean, they get up there. I think it's time for to get Lindsey out of the game too. I agree. I agree. 100%, Chris. I appreciate it. Somebody sent me a text and it was relevant to what Chris was just... um 00:56 talking about, let's see, blah, blah, blah. Charlie, we know Lindsey Graham's an idiot. We all know Tim Scott's an idiot. But here's the thing, it takes a bigger idiot to vote for him, so that says a lot about the mentality of South Carolina. I've lived here for 26 years, and all I've heard for 26 years is people bitching about Lindsey Graham, but he's still here. So who's the bigger idiot? All right, but here's the thing. 01:26 I know those idiots. I do. I know some of those idiots that think Lindsey Graham is actually doing a great job. 01:36 I got one friend down in Charleston and she's fairly influential. Well, I'll tell you this, we had some friends that it was like right before we moved away and came up here, um we were going out with, going to dinner with them and they were Lindsay supporters. The husband was a big Lindsay contributor. 02:04 She was a Lindsay supporter, although not as much as him. And they were happy with Lindsay Graham. So my wife and I get up here to Greenville, I guess we're here for a year and a half. And then we go back down to Charleston for a visit and we're sitting down to dinner with them and all of a sudden they're like, nope, no more money for me. Lindsay gets nothing from me. Nothing, nothing. 02:33 I'm not supporting that guy anymore. So I can't wait to ask them who they vote for in this primary. 02:43 But incumbent senators are hard to beat. The amount of money that you have to have, now first of all, remember this, when you go after the king, you better not miss. 03:00 Lindsey Graham already running ads against Mark Lynch. You've seen them. They're all over the place right now. Lindsey's worried. He always gets worried during the primaries, but he should. That's what primaries are for. So I think everybody needs a primary challenger just to keep them honest. I'm all for that. don't care. don't care. I was okay with Donald Trump having a primary challenger. I didn't care. Keep them honest. 03:30 But Lindsay always gets very conservative right around primary time and the other, what, four and half, five and a half years, is just about as liberal as they come. 03:43 Now pretty sure he's a big fan of John Cornyn, but the money you have to have to unseat an income, and look at what Cornyn spent in Texas, almost $100 million? 03:58 Ken Paxton spent five? That's crazy, man. It really is. That's nuts. That's how much those people, and I hope the people of South Carolina are paying very close attention to that. Take a look at what can be done even when the odds are against you. Even when that guy 04:27 has so much more money than you do. You know, always tell people, people say, oh, how can you beat Lindsey? He's got all that money. I got an idea. Ask Paxton how that happens. We could do this. And if not, well, we're going to have him for six more years. I am no fan of the guy. I think he's a backstabber. I think he's a necessary idiot for President Trump. 04:57 To keep around, unfortunately Trump needs him. 05:02 We saw what happened in Pickens. 05:06 with him practically be ...
00:00 Let's go to the WRD talk line. talk to Chris in Greenville. How you doing, Chris? Pretty good, Charlie. Have we ever stopped to think that maybe we only got like a handful of politicians that are actually fighting for us up there and the rest of them are just happy with um with all the corruption and stealing and thieving going on? Yeah. I apologize for getting this week's “Thriller Thursday” posted on Friday! I thought I had plenty of time to narrate and produce this, but the more I got into it, the more elaborate it became and the time just got away from me. Hopefully it'll be worth your wait! – DarrenLeroy Johnston thought the worst part of his cruise would be the uncomfortable tuxedo on formal night — until a crimson storm hurled their ship into waters where the rules of reality no longer apply.Join the DARKNESS SYNDICATE: https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateComing up in this episode… it's #ThrillerThursday, with a tale by one of my favorite Creepypasta authors, Mark Lynch. It's entitled, “I am stranded on a desert island far from home. Please send help.” In the story, when Leroy Johnston embarks on what should be a routine ocean cruise, he's simply looking forward to a relaxing vacation and reconnecting with an old friend. But after a devastating storm strikes their ship, the passengers and crew find themselves completely cut off from the outside world, drifting in waters that seem to follow none of the familiar rules. As their situation grows increasingly desperate and the veneer of civilization begins to crack, Leroy must confront terrors beyond imagination while fighting to protect the woman he's just met and come to love. We're about to sail into some high seas horrors! ABOUT WEIRD DARKNESS: Weird Darkness is a true crime and paranormal podcast narrated by professional award-winning voice actor, Darren Marlar.
