Hour 1 The Chargers beat the Broncos last night and we had a rare free kick FG at the end of the first half. KAT went off for the Knicks last night in their win in Minnesota. Gio thinks Boomer is discarding the Rangers and will now focus on the Knicks. Boomer denies this. Jerry is here for his first update of the day, but first Gio said Brett from Long Island claimed another victim on overnight hosts by fighting with Brian Rascona. Jerry starts with the sounds of the Chargers beating the Broncos. Larry David and Jim Harbaugh had a conversation before the game. Andy Reid said Mahomes will most likely end up playing. We heard the sounds of the Knicks beating the T-Wolves as KAT had 32 points. The Yankees introduced Cody Bellinger and talked about what excites him about being a Yankee. Italians LOVE their baseball. Growing up, my parents gushed about #JoeDiMaggio, and now it's #MikePiazza with my kids. The Long Island Ducks personified an era and a brand of hockey. From 1959 to 1973, they fought, checked, and slashed their way through the Eastern Hockey League and the Long Island Arena in Commack. If this sounds vaguely familiar, think back to the 1977 film Slap Shot with Paul Newman. Newman's character, Reg Dunlop, was based on the Duck's defensiveman John Brophy. Chrs Vaccaro, head of the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame, relates the story of this storied franchise. Connie Currie tells her own story of watching the Ducks play and what it was like inside that big drafty barn of a stadium when the pucks were flying.

If you were at last weekend’s annual seminarian basketball game, you might have taken a doubletake while watching the referees. Arlington Bishop Michael Burbidge was one of three referees for the annual game that pits diocesan seminarians against young men discerning a vocation to the priesthood. In a customary black-and-white-striped shirt, armed with a whistle, the bishop held his own among fellow referees Fr. Chris Vaccaro from Mary Washington University and Paul Klein of St. Veronica Church in Chantilly. Father J.D. Jaffe, diocesan vocations director, kicked off the event with a prayer and a warning to the players: “Don’t argue with the refs.”
