Should GM Omar Khan and coach Mike Tomlin have regret about the move, given Pickens' impressive production with the Cowboys? Munaf and Lonte get into NFL week 11 player props. Munaf and Lonte break down NFL Week 11 props on the Dream Preview: Munaf hosts with guest Lonte filling in for Sleepy J. They discuss the ugly Thursday game and move to QB props. Lonte's QB pick: Josh Allen over ~219 pass yards vs Tampa, noting Buffalo's bounce-back spot, Tampa's recent defensive struggles (Goff 241, Mac 347, Darnold 341, Maye 270) and Buffalo leaning pass-heavy. Munaf's QB pick: Jacoby Brissett over 236.5 pass yards vs SF based on four straight overs (320/279/261/258), injuries to Cards WRs, weak SF pass defense, and expected negative script. RB props: Lonte takes Kenneth Walker under 44.5 rush yards vs SF citing inconsistent workload, Charbonnet usage, SF run D, and poor matchup for Walker's style. Munaf takes Jalen Warren over 101.5 rush+rec yards vs CIN after 158 last meeting, consistent recent volume, CIN giving up 141 rush yards + 44 receiving to RBs. WR/TE props: Lonte pivots to TE Brock Bowers over 70.5 yards vs Dallas due to mismatch vs DAL LBs, expected target spike, and previous big bounce-back after a one-catch game. Munaf backs Jaylen Waddle over 78.5 vs Washington (recent 95/99/82/84 games, WAS secondary allowing 178 to WRs, Waddle's YAC and target expectation). Lonte doubles with Dalton Schultz over his receiving yards AND anytime TD vs TEN, referencing strong Mills-Schultz connection, 11 targets last week, red-zone usage, and TEN allowing TE production. Munaf plays Zach Ertz over 43.5 yards vs Miami (recent 46/54, Dolphins allowing 71 to TEs, WAS injuries, 5+ targets in 4 of 5). TD props: Lonte—Schultz. Munaf—Pat Freiermuth +230, Jonnu Smith +230, Ladd McConkey +155, and Aaron Jones +135. They plug the Pregame contests and Ready50 promo. Agreed best bet: Joe Flacco over 255.5 pass yards vs PIT; Steelers have been shredded by QBs (4 of prior 5 over 340 yards), Flacco threw 342 vs PIT in TNF matchup, comes off 470-yard game, has Chase/Higgins/Chase Brown, Bengals airing it out 45+ attempts often, extra rest helps shoulder. Live around 5 p.m., Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise gives his thoughts on the Steelers quarterback situation through the lens of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields struggling elsewhere, with Fields notably drawing criticism this week from his New York Jets owner, Woody Johnson. Do coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan deserve more credit for zeroing in on Aaron Rodgers when he became available this offseason? Could Wilson or Fields have had similar success in Arthur Smith's offense with weapons like DK Metcalf, Jonnu Smith and Pat Freiermuth around them? And will the ultimate outcome be any different with Rodgers than it might have been with Wilson or Fields in the form of an NFL playoffs victory? Paul tackles those topics and gives his thoughts on the matchup looming Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers at Acrisure Stadium. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. How does that affect coordinator Arthur Smith's offensive game plan? Is Pat Freiermuth back to producing at a high level along with fellow tight ends Jonnu Smith, Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward? How is Aaron Rodgers continuing to play at such a high level at 41 years old? Can we expect the offense to keep humming with Jaylen Warren and DK Metcalf? Is the veteran QB ready for the challenge of taking down the Green Bay Packers in NFL Week 8 at Acrisure Stadium? What will he have to say about his first game as a Packers opponent? Will his comments be similar or different than they were in the lead-up to the NFL Week 1 matchup with the New York Jets, who cut him this offseason? And how will others including coach Mike Tomlin and players like DK Metcalf, T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Jalen Ramsey and Patrick Queen approach the situation? Our duo tackles those questions, then tight end usage within OC Arthur Smith's offense. How can names like Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington repeat their NFL Week 7 success against the Cincinnati Bengals? What adjustments should coach Mike Tomlin and DC Teryl Austin make? Particularly in the secondary? Do players including Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay Jr. and Brandin Echols need to be used differently after getting beaten badly by Joe Flacco, Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins last week? On the Saturday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette sports columnist Paul Zeise to sort through the level of blame coach Mike Tomlin deserves for the NFL Week 7 loss to the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Was the game plan flawed from the start? Where was the pressure from the pass rush and stars like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, Derick Harmon and others? Were the 3- and 4-man rushes frequently deployed simply not enough to disrupt Bengals QB Joe Flacco and star WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, leading to problems in the secondary for Joey Porter Jr., Jalen Ramsey and others? And why haven't names like Benton, Payton Wilson and others developed as much as many fans had hoped under Tomlin? Our duo tackles those questions, plus the performance of the tight ends. Who's the best player from the group of Darnell Washington, Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith right now? Off The Bench is back weekdays from 10a to 11a followed by The Stone Shields Show from 11a to noon! In a heart-stopping AFC North showdown last night at Paycor Stadium, the Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) edged the Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2) 33-31, ending a four-game slide with a dramatic, last-second triumph. Joe Flacco, stepping in for an injured Joe Burrow, delivered a vintage performance, throwing for 342 yards and three touchdowns. His poise under pressure shone in the final minute, leading a surgical drive that set up Evan McPherson's game-winning 36-yard field goal with seven seconds left. The game was an offensive slugfest. Pittsburgh's Aaron Rodgers, now fifth all-time in passing yards, struck early, finding Jonnu Smith for a 10-yard touchdown. The Steelers' Pat Freiermuth dominated, hauling in four receptions for 106 yards, including a 68-yard score that gave Pittsburgh a 31-30 lead with 2:21 remaining. But Cincinnati's defense answered, with Jordan Battle's interception of a Rodgers deep ball to DK Metcalf shifting momentum. Ja'Marr Chase was the Bengals' catalyst, setting a franchise record with 16 catches for 161 yards and a touchdown, joining elite company with his second 14-catch game this season. Tee Higgins added six receptions for 96 yards and a score, while Chase Brown powered the ground game with 108 yards on 11 carries. The Bengals racked up 479 total yards, exploiting a Steelers defense that couldn't contain Cincinnati's playmakers late. Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt pressured Flacco, but the Bengals' offensive line held firm in crunch time. A controversial overturned call on a Chase touchdown kept the game tight, but Flacco's 28-yard strike to Higgins on the final drive sealed it. Rodgers was efficient but undone by two interceptions. This electrifying win, fueled by Flacco's heroics and Cincinnati's relentless attack, signals the Bengals' resurgence in a fiercely competitive division, keeping playoff dreams alive.
