Get to know these two powerful & inspiring women entrepreneurs - conditionHER Founders Wendy Rose Berry and Eugenia Marshall! We all need inspiration from time to time. It doesn't matter where it comes from necessarily, and most times it comes in the form of people we meet along our daily journey. A chance encounter with a stranger, an uplifting story, a passing statement, even a simple smile. These encounters, stories and people can add a slight breeze to our sails, giving us a little added pep in our step in our march forward. It is in the person or the story that we recognize our own humanity and connect with the understanding that we are all on some sort of journey to self-awareness or personal success. Most of us spend our lives in the pursuit of this self-awareness and happiness through our daily work or by chasing a dream of a business. This gave me pause, and made me wonder why we do this. For money? Or for personal satisfaction? Of accomplishing something that is bigger than ourselves? Or connecting with the world, through people, and their approval of our ideas? The history of human beings using cash currency does go back a long time – 40,000 years. Human beings have long used currency as a means of exchange, a method of payment, a standard of value, a store of wealth and a unit of account. Trade and interaction. Business creation has many functions: It facilitates exchange as a measure of value; it brings diverse societies together by enabling gift-giving and reciprocity; it perpetuates social hierarchies; and it is a medium of power. We are talking to two such women entrepreneurs that have inspired me, conditionHER Founders Wendy Rose Berry and Eugenia Marshall. What drew me to Wendy & Eugenia immediately was their warm and energetic personalities. I was also very quickly aware that I knew almost nothing of entrepreneurship from their perspective as black women. Their business is an intimate skin care brand.
