Wheatus have been here that many times they would almost be classed as Australians. After a whirlwind 2024 that saw the band Down Under twice, once in February for acoustic shows with Art from Everclear and again with Wheatus in April for the Pandemonium Festival, frontman Brendan B Brown has become a beloved fixture in the Aussie music scene. The Wheatus sets at Pandemonium were one of the standout moments of the day, finding that perfect balance between stoking the fires of nostalgia and putting on a killer rock 'n' roll show. The Wheatus Acoustic Tour next January and February is shaping up to be the most fun you can have indoors this summer. Featuring Wheatus frontman and incredibly nice guy, Brendan B. Brown along with his better half, fellow Wheatus member Gabrielle Sterbenz, the epic 14 date run also features founding member and former lead guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist of The Chats, Josh ‘Pricey' Price.HEAVY spent some time with Brendan recently, where we spoke about just about everything.Brendan shared that Australia was the first place to embrace Wheatus' music, especially the song Teenage Dirtbag, and that they were grateful for the support they received there. We discussed his approach to music and live performances, emphasizing the importance of connecting with the audience and not taking himself too seriously. He explained his method of tailoring each show to the audience's mood and requests, which he finds more engaging than a set list. Brendan also shared his experiences with touring and maintaining a positive band dynamic, highlighting the importance of respect and camaraderie among band members. He expressed his excitement for an upcoming acoustic show, where he and his partner Gabrielle will share stories and play songs from their catalogue and more.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/heavy-music-interviews--2687660/support.

When it comes to astrology, most people know their Sun sign. Many know their Moon and Rising signs too.But so few are acquainted with their personal Venus. To be honest not many astrologers give Her much attention.Or the wrong, “bad news”, disempowering kind of attention.Like “with your Venus in this sign, or with this aspect on your Venus, your love life is doomed.” kind of thing. That's dangerous advice.Venus is the part of your natal chart that brings it all alive. The part that gets you clear on your desires, turns on your radiance, joy, magnetism and creativity. She's here to offer you a way off of that hamster wheel of survival mode; of constant stress, resentment, numbness and exhaustion that we're all too familiar with. The part that makes your life magical. This essence is so unique to you; as unique as your fingerprint. And there is no “bad” or “weak” placement of Venus. But there are many variations on the theme. So many women are cut off from this essence; it's pandemic. And with the world we've been living in, that makes sense. But it doesn't have to be that way.I feel Venus has been the Holy Grail; the missing piece, that humanity have been searching for and starving for for over 3,600 years. Reclaiming Venus is central to creating a New Earth.“ Venus says there is no solution to any problem unless beauty & love are present.”-Caroline W Casey, astrologerI feel it's time for a reclamation. It's personal. And it's collectiveAnd you don't even have to be interested in astrology to have your very own personal Venusian Revolution; to cultivate an intimate and thriving relationship with the Goddess of Love. There are so many ways to connect with and embody your Inner Venus and have Her work Her magic in your life.We invite Her in through pleasure and ritual. Here I'll share some super simple ways to do exactly that.Let's dive in!Sign Up for the Venusian Summer Series:https://shakticore.com/Look Up Your Personal Venus:https://astro-charts.com/Check Out the Book Sacred PleasureView an image of the Poly Vagal Curve
Last night I had the opportunity to sit down with the fabulous and engaging former Brumby and current Waratahs tight head, Tom Ross. Tom talks about how he escaped the barren wastelands of the ACT and signed with the Tahs in November 2023. He reflects on a fair prop education while down south with one or two reasonable prop mentors and some useful coaches as well. 2024 saw Tom in the Tahs starting XV before he too succumbed to the Tahs curse, doing his MCL five minutes into the match against the Chiefs, but battled it out till halftime. Tom is on the recovery trail and we discuss all things rugby. From his rugby trajectory, to how to help Sonny-Bill Williams evolve as a commentator and everything else in between. Special thanks to the Waratah media team for the opportunity and also to Tom. 'Tross' (must be short for Albatross) was a terrific guest and ''much better than Julian Heaven'' (Tom's words). We talked Brumbies rugby, coaches, life at the Tahs and a whole lot more. Sit down, pour yourself a refreshing beverage and enjoy. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
To kick off this new series, our first guest has been a revelation at the Tahs this year. Starting the year on a 'training contract', injuries to other players coupled with his own rising form saw him demand a spot on the pine and then quickly into the starting team. Currently recovering from a shoulder injury, we welcome NSW Waratahs hooker, Julian Heaven. Special thanks to the Simon at Waratah Media for his co-operation and support. And of course to 'The Axe' himself, who as you'll hear is not just a cracking person, but also a young rugby player, working multiple jobs all in the pursuit of his rugby goals. The gang are back together and immediately Cassidy starts grilling Josh about what really went down on his Las Vegas trip. Lets just say his cheapskate ways really shock and appall the American women.. Josh pulls back the curtain and discusses what a guy is really thinking when you sleep with him on a 1st date! Cassidy's dry spell continues and shows no signs of stopping, as she knee pats a potential lover instead of a kiss. The pair butt heads discussing if being on someones close friends is a clear cut sign they're keen, this is an EP you cannot miss!!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

O.M.G! I can't believe we've reached 100 episodes of the City Girl Savings podcast! First off, where does the time go?! Second, I'm so glad I bit the bullet and decided to launch the podcast in January of 2022. I had been contemplating a podcast for a long time, but the timing never felt right. I knew that if I was going to commit to showing up every week, I had to be in a space to do it. So, when I took City Girl Savings full-time in May of 2021, the podcast felt like the right next step. 100 episodes and nearly 2 years later, I know I made the right choice. To celebrate 100 episodes, I'm sharing my all-time 10 favorite episodes of the City Girl Savings podcast and why they made the list. Raya's 10 All-Time Favorite Episodes (in no particular order): #58: My Daily Morning Routine for Boosting Productivity #76: Breaking Down My Savings Accounts and Strategies #20: Breaking Generational Money Curses with Lea Landaverde #91: 35 Money Lessons I Learned by 35 #1: Big City Spender to City Girl Saver: How City Girl Savings Came to Be #41: Pulling Back the Curtain and Getting Intimate #81: Manifesting Money, Trips and More with CGS Client Tymika #10: Conquering the Fear of Failure and Re-defining Success #70: My Budget Non-Negotiables #12: An Introduction to Travel-Hacking with Travel Rewards Coach the Miss Miles Let me first say that it was incredibly hard to limit my favorites list to 10, but I did it! If you've been listening to the show from the beginning, THANK YOU! I hope some of these episodes made your favorites list as well. Here's a glance at this episode: [02:28] Raya loves systems and routines, so it's no surprise that Episode 58, where she shares her morning routine, made the all-time favorites list. [06:45] From 34 to 35, Raya learned a lot about life, happiness, and money. Her lessons learned over 35 years had a huge impact on her. [11:34] Speaking with CGS Client Tymika about manifestation was an all-time favorite episode for Raya because it took listeners through some of the mindset work that happens on client coaching calls. [16:05] Yes, Raya is all about budgets. But, budgets that include the things we love! Raya shares why the episode on her budget non-negotiables made the all-time favorites list.
